Sir Syed Ahmad khan(A revolutionary person)
A great person of the earth,
That never flew in the sky,
Gave his people a state of worth,
Now freely where they fly,
Yet no head be raised before him,
Like a poor lamp before the sun dim.
All the hopes when ended in smoke,
And future seemed extremely dark,
His revolutionary thoughts stroke,
And then appeared a revolt spark,
That opened sharply their mental knot,
Which circumstances had slowly brought.
In the storm he contained himself,
And lit a candle of the knowledge,
Gathered his wise people like pelf,
And shaped his dreams into a college,
That is our glory and matter of proud,
Where Sir Syed shines yet being in shroud.

The Future is a Light
The future is a light
A moon
But there is a storm
And black clouds obstruct my view
The future is a light
A lamp
But the shade is dark
And the bulb is cracked
The future is a light
A candle
But the wind heaves
And the wick is short
The future is a light
A star
But it has shined too long
And must die soon
The future is a light
A reason
But it has disappeared
And so shall I

Where Do I Come From?
Where do I come from? I do not know,
For it was taken away before I could see. What
is my name? I do not know, because it was taken
away from me before I was born. Who am I? I will never know, for the
culture of who I am and would have been, was
stripped away from lack of understanding. What is my past?
The knowledge to know that people, doing the hating
and despising are the very same people that share
my family roots. Who am I? This I do know a person that
will never have knowledge, of what it would be
like to have a culture and a country, a past with
a positive history! Where do I go? I do not know, for there
is far more prejudice than ever against a people,
with no country and no culture, stuck in the middle
of a melting pot society. What do I do? All I can do is hope,
hope that one day, it won't matter what color
you are, and it won't matter where you come from.
It doesn't matter what you look like, that people
wake up and accept a person by how one is treated. What is my future?
To pass this knowledge to my children, for it
is the only thing left, that was not taken from me.
And it is the only thing of value in this life
I can give, this gift to my child.

Spark In The Dark
Welcome to the party
Its only me and you
Tell the world to go away, babe
And Ill tell you what to do
Come over here and kiss me
I want to pull your hair
Turn out the lights and hold me
I want to touch you everywhere
We dont need nobody, baby
We dont need champagne
Ill take you to the deepest,
Darkest, hottest, lovers lane
For a little spark in the dark
Just a little spark in the dark
Dont matter where we sleep
Dont matter where we park
All we need is a spark, spark
Spark in the dark
Just a little spark in the dark
Come around midnight
Well be crawlin on the floor
Burnin with the fever
And yellin out for more
But dont you write it in your
Diary, baby
Dont blab it on the phone
Cuz if your mom and dad find out
Theyll skin me to the bone
Now we dont need instructions,
Baby
Dont you be afraid
It takes a little friction
Thats how our love is made
]from a little spark in the dark
Just a little spark in the dark
Dont matter what you say
No matter what you do
As long as it is me and you
We got a spark in the dark
Just a little spark in the dark, yeah
We dont need nobody, baby
We dont need cocaine
Ill take you to the deepest,
Darkest, hottest lovers lane
Spark in the dark
Just a little spark in the dark
Dont matter where we sleep
Dont matter where we park
All we need is a spark, spark
Spark in the dark

My quotations/ What Life has taught me
1-When you are illeterate you are poor
When you are illiterate and a woman you are much poorer.
When you are a woman, poor and illiterate you are the poorest creature on earth.
2-All the best things in life are free: happiness, wisdom, friendship, love, brotherhood, honesty, integrity..If you can have all these you are the richest person in this world....Why are you unhappy? ? ?
3-Don't judge people on what you can see, what you can't see is much more important.
4-Think great, work hard, love yourself as you are and you will be the happiest person in the world.
5-Bees and roses cure both our eyes and hearts.
6-Life is so simple and beautiful but so short and unfaithful.
7-Knowledge is worth all the gold of earth.

Power of Determination
Fortitude of mind can do any miracle
as a testimony, here’s an example.
A lady I know who’s full of willpower
proving her wonderfully a match for the hour.
Married a person, a man of numerous worth,
as a housewife in her family, she too gave childbirth.
Notwithstanding this fact, she had some hidden hopes,
to bloom as an erudite, waiting for the scopes.
She felt a need within for developing sense
to make her life to grow with modern relevance;
power of knowledge that she wanted to achieve,
to educate herself, more and more to perceive.
A decade of efforts brought her graduation
with her own daughter taking examination,
with this enviable quality of her mind
she gathered her degrees with the time she could find.
Higher education paved her path to the top,
In her carrier, as a professor she stopped.
Reverences she earned from all she came across
brought her self-made life a pure satiating gloss.
Thus a mother or a wife could prove by own life
with seeds of her sweet will she forced out all big strife.
Her visions and her goals were put to final shape
with great strength of mind. She never tried to escape.
This old lady – a septuagenarian
has proved her worth as a learned companion.
For all her kith and kin she set an example –
her conviction knew hurdles how to dismantle.
She’s a proud possession for her grown up offspring –
bringing success within self, tuning her life’s string.
This fighting spirit of her may show others a mean
to fulfill cherished dreams not letting them go unseen.

Tressure And Dry Earth
The dry earth every time generated dark smoke everywhere like morning misty
Delight full sky with sun voyaging full of day without space for dark cloud time of every
Ounce upon time made many of lake seen like one of garden grass with tasty
The people of sin excavated for destroying the proud of history among dry
The natural dowry destroying ignorant people it be hate for living people
They never get to chance for living like human the hell will open it will be true
The people turn to back world via clause till die all of innocent people
They refuse theme with people and natural will hate and revenge
The history and heritages thieving sin people without knowing proud of mother s land
Where can shown some day to own children this is mine deposited for my love proved
The future heritage dry earth and empty forest live and sorrow with gathered
Oh the dowry from father vanish children cried with sorrow weeping wiped
The smooth whether turn to dry and harmfully for people living better
With large thirsty wild animal carcass showing every village near
Demolish link with natural the people feared and shivered and murmur
Although they not allowed pure reality by word of believably will listen wind whisper

How Fortunate the Man with None
From the play "Mother Courage"
You saw sagacious Solomon
You know what came of him,
To him complexities seemed plain.
He cursed the hour that gave birth to him
And saw that everything was vain.
How great and wise was Solomon.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's wisdom that had brought him to this state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You saw courageous Caesar next
You know what he became.
They deified him in his life
Then had him murdered just the same.
And as they raised the fatal knife
How loud he cried: you too my son!
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's courage that had brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You heard of honest Socrates
The man who never lied:
They weren't so grateful as you'd think
Instead the rulers fixed to have him tried
And handed him the poisoned drink.
How honest was the people's noble son.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's honesty that brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
Here you can see respectable folk
Keeping to God's own laws.
So far he hasn't taken heed.
You who sit safe and warm indoors
Help to relieve our bitter need.
How virtuously we had begun.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's fear of god that brought us to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.

Within Us
Within us is the power to create, preserve and destroy
but which is the power that we all do most employ?
We are all struggling to gain that which we know
will give all the knowledge and strength to show
what we imagine ourselves to be perhaps or wish to express
in this world of name and form where nothing lasts I confess
Each person has their aspirations and cherished dreams
yet very few are they who have realized them it seems
All that is to be had is acquired a little at a time
going in the right direction we achieve our prime
If we come across too much too soon we may get lost
and possessing it all will be a burden or unknown cost
When we know ourselves to be what we really are
we experience our true nature like a shining star
that shines in the dark and sheds its light upon all
irrespective of their condition be they great or small
To get to this state we must plunge deep within our being
and fetch the pearl of great price that's most worth seeing

The Dawn
What is knowledge? What is wisdom?
My sight seeks a candle, with a flame,
And the eyes are finally better, it is
The candlelight of good shining quality.
One may be wise when a small number
Of people are listening and reacting,
But the light from anywhere is cast
With such a holiness that the candle is only slight.
Knowledge this day is relished, abducted
By the wise candlelight.

America s Strength (series #2)
As a youngster I began to wonder “ how this great nation came to be”.
People from all over the world looking for a new life to escape tyranny.
This became AMERICAS history.
Then we had our civil war and we fought as state to state.
We all became UNITED and that made this nation great.
So we put the two together and the UNITED STATES was formed.
Little did we know- that this would be the “ norm”.
Look around you, and you will see
Every ethnic group, that’s how we came to be.
AMERICA is not just a country, but a land
Where the bell of freedom rings
And from every country, its people it will bring.
AMERICA is a dream- a vision, a quest- if you must
But in this great nation we put all our trust.
So give us your humble, your poor, your weak
If freedom is what they seek.
This is what made this nation, and gave dreams to all mankind
For we will fight for this country, our lives we’ll put on the line.
We will get stronger, and you will weaken and die
For you can not break our spirit, no matter how you try.
“ now many will say I’m a dreamer”
But that’s how this world came to be
Every small dream has become a reality.
We wanted to hide the pictures and videos
From our children of what you had done.
Because we had felt that they was much to young.
Now we’ve decided to teach and show them about
This cowardly act, and to give them knowledge
And show them all the facts.

Pell Grants
The USA has fallen behind in college graduates in many areas especially the sciences and technology. We need more kids with ability graduating from college and getting master degrees etc. Pell grants allow a young or older person who cannot afford a college education to get one. People pay the loans off by the percentage of wage they make at the time. This democratic benefit to the middle and lower classes would be dropped by Romney/Ryan and the republicans if they are elected.
The implication of this would be college is for the wealthy and the extremely gifted with scholarships or in sports. Is this fair? Is it right for a young person with an IQ of a hundred with rich parents to go to college and another child with an IQ of a 120 with parents that can't afford 20,000 dollars a semester not go? Is this the America that you want? I am not voting for people only but justice, equality and a real America with real opportunity for all not just the rich.

Sonnet LIX.
Written Sept. 1791, during a remarkable thunder
storm, in which the moon was perfectly clear, while
the tempest gathered in various directions near the
earth.
WHAT awful pageants crowd the evening sky!
The low horizon gathering vapours shroud,
Sudden, from many a deep-embattled cloud
Terrific thunders burst and lightnings fly--
While in serenest azure, beaming high,
Night's regent, of her calm pavilion proud,
Gilds the dark shadows that beneath her lie,
Unvex'd by all their conflicts fierce and loud.
--So, in unsullied dignity elate,
A spirit conscious of superior worth,
In placid elevation firmly great,
Scorns the vain cares that give Contention birth;
And blest with peace above the shocks of Fate,
Smiles at the tumult of the troubled earth.

Half In Day, Half In Night!
what if you moved the mountain?
raised your hand and stilled the storm?
fed the hungry, healed the sick,
and stood up and stopped all wars?
what if you peeled back the mask of prejudice,
and exposed the beating heart?
what if you walked on the water?
what if you built a temple,
using only your own hands?
what if you made your life a prayer?
what if you gave all you had to the poor?
what if you did all of this,
and it still wasnt enough?
would you be willing to go on?
what if i gave you my heart,
my spirit, and my soul?
and laid my body at your feet,
sacrificing my dreams for yours?
what if i stood up like a man
and demanded an answer?
would you know,
and would you care?
what if i opened the door
and flew into the night?
would there be a light on
when i returned?
what if i just dont know
anything else to say or do?
so what if i just be me?
would you recognize the man
standing, half in day,
and half in night?

The Inauguration of the University College
Good people of Dundee, your voices raise,
And to Miss Baxter give great praise;
Rejoice and sing and dance with glee,
Because she has founded a College in Bonnie Dundee.
Therefore loudly in her praise sing,
And make Dundee with your voices ring,
And give honour to whom honour is due,
Because ladies like her are very few.
'Twas on the 5th day of October, in the year of 1883,
That the University College was opened in Dundee,
And the opening proceedings were conducted in the College Hall,
In the presence of ladies and gentlemen both great and small.
Worthy Provost Moncur presided over the meeting,
And received very great greeting;
And Professor Stuart made an eloquent speech there,
And also Lord Dalhousie, I do declare.
Also, the Right Hon W. E. Baxter was there on behalf of his aunt,
And acknowledged her beautiful portrait without any rant,
And said that she requested him to hand it over to the College,
As an incentive to others to teach the ignorant masses knowledge,
Success to Miss Baxter, and praise to the late Doctor Baxter, John Boyd,
For I think the Dundonians ought to feel overjoyed
For their munificent gifts to the town of Dundee,
Which will cause their names to be handed down to posterity.
The College is most handsome and magnificent to be seen,
And Dundee can now almost cope with Edinburgh or Aberdeen,
For the ladies of Dundee can now learn useful knowledge
By going to their own beautiful College.
I hope the ladies and gentlemen of Dundee will try and learn knowledge
At home in Dundee in their nice little College,
Because knowledge is sweeter than honey or jam,
Therefore let them try and gain knowledge as quick as they can.
It certainly is a great boon and an honour to Dundee
To have a College in our midst, which is most charming to see,
All through Miss Baxter and the late Dr Baxter, John Boyd,
Which I hope by the people of Dundee will long be enjoyed
Now since Miss Baxter has lived to see it erected,
I hope by the students she will long be respected
For establishing a College in Bonnie Dundee,
Where learning can be got of a very high degree.
"My son, get knowledge," so said the sage,
For it will benefit you in your old age,
And help you through this busy world to pass,
For remember a man without knowledge is just like an ass.
I wish the Professors and teachers every success,
Hoping the Lord will all their labours bless;
And I hope the students will always be obedient to their teachers
And that many of them may leam to be orators and preachers.
I hope Miss Baxter will prosper for many a long day
For the money that she has given away,
May God shower his blessings on her wise head,
And may all good angels guard her while living and hereafter when dead.

Day and Night
Through my heart's palace Thoughts unnumbered throng;
And there, most quiet and, as a child, most wise,
High-throned you sit, and gracious. All day long
Great Hopes gold-armoured, jester Fantasies,
And pilgrim Dreams, and little beggar Sighs,
Bow to your benediction, go their way.
And the grave jewelled courtier Memories
Worship and love and tend you, all the day.
But when I sleep, and all my thoughts go straying,
When the high session of the day is ended,
And darkness comes; then, with the waning light,
By lilied maidens on your way attended,
Proud from the wonted throne, superbly swaying,
You, like a queen, pass out into the night.

King Solomon and the Ants
Out from Jerusalem
The king rode with his great
War chiefs and lords of state,
And Sheba's queen with them;
Comely, but black withal,
To whom, perchance, belongs
That wondrous Song of songs,
Sensuous and mystical,
Whereto devout souls turn
In fond, ecstatic dream,
And through its earth-born theme
The Love of loves discern.
Proud in the Syrian sun,
In gold and purple sheen,
The dusky Ethiop queen
Smiled on King Solomon.
Wisest of men, he knew
The languages of all
The creatures great or small
That trod the earth or flew.
Across an ant-hill led
The king's path, and he heard
Its small folk, and their word
He thus interpreted:
'Here comes the king men greet
As wise and good and just,
To crush us in the dust
Under his heedless feet.'
The great king bowed his head,
And saw the wide surprise
Of the Queen of Sheba's eyes
As he told her what they said.
'O king!' she whispered sweet,
'Too happy fate have they
Who perish in thy way
Beneath thy gracious feet!
'Thou of the God-lent crown,
Shall these vile creatures dare
Murmur against thee where
The knees of kings kneel down?'
'Nay,' Solomon replied,
'The wise and strong should seek
The welfare of the weak,'
And turned his horse aside.
His train, with quick alarm,
Curved with their leader round
The ant-hill's peopled mound,
And left it free from harm.
The jewelled head bent low;
'O king!' she said, 'henceforth
The secret of thy worth
And wisdom well I know.
'Happy must be the State
Whose ruler heedeth more
The murmurs of the poor
Than flatteries of the great.'

It must be for inspiration
It must be for inspiration that you created the heavens,
the earth, the sky, the sea
I look at the stars and I am contented that there is peace,
a calmness right into my soul
It must be for inspiration that you created man,
his heart, his soul, his spirit
I look at how he goes about his life and there is wonder,
how you have made us so wise
It must be for inspiration that you have brought people together,
they court, they join their lives, they grow old
I look at how they have fulfilled their dreams in the eyes of their kids,
it brings a special longing in my heart to have my dreams fulfilled too
It must be for inspiration that I met you at this time,
I was busy, was lonely, was caught up
I look at how God has allowed circumstances to turn,
after sometime there was spark that cannot be denied
It must be for inspiration that i have met you and you are such
a pleasant gift at the right time
I look at my busy days and you give me delight each day,
I am inspired, I'm happy, I am blessed
Looking at you, I don't know yet the purpose,
for now I'm thinking it must be for inspiration

Miranda
Though she's Australian by birth she says what's birth right anyway
I'm a citizen of Planet Earth that's what Miranda say
'Tis power hungry men that gave us passports and our right to freely travel us denied
You may call this your Country but you don't own the Countryside.
She says because of our Government I'm not proud to be Australian they lock up refugees
Poor Stateless and Homeless people who arrive in boats from overseas
We celebrate war that leads to dispossession but war victims we disown
The war winners write the war history and one side of the war story only known
Miranda is in her mid fifties gray haired, graceful and tall
And she feels proud to be a member of the society of 'A fair go for all'
One of those selfless people who speaks out for Human rights
On the hills of justice and morality she has climbed to great heights.
She may be Australian by birth but of that she is not proud
And at the Anzac Day parade she was not one of the crowd
To cheer on the old soldiers as they paraded up and down
With their war medals pinned to their coats through the main streets of the Town.

Blaze Of Glory
I wake up in the morning
And I raise my weary head
I got an old coat for a pillow
And the earth was last night's bed
I don't know where I'm going
Only God knows where I've been
I'm a devil on the run
A six gun lover
A candle in the wind
When you're brought into this world
They say you're born in sin
Well at least they gave me something
I didn't have to steal or have to win
Well they tell me that I'm wanted
Yeah I'm a wanted man
I'm cold in your stable
I'm what Cain was to Abel
Mister catch me if you can
Chorus:
I'm going down in a blaze of glory
Take me now but know the truth
I'm going down in a blaze of glory
Lord I never drew first
But I drew first blood
I'm no ones son
Call me young gun
You ask about my consience
And I offer you my soul
You ask If I'll grow to be a wise man
Well I ask if I'll grow old
You ask me if I known love
And what it's like to sing songs in the rain
Well

We May Have Great Plans For The Future
We may have great plans for the future but the future seems so far away
And we only can live in the present tomorrow is another day
The future's not ours to look into I once heard a wise woman say
And the sooner the rose comes into bloom the sooner 'twill fade to decay.
You will not find one who doesn't have dreams but dreams of course seldom come true
Still dreams to us all are important we all need a dream to pursue
We all need our dreams to inspire us and those who do not have a dream
Have lost their sense of life direction like a leaf in a rapid flowing stream.
When one hopes for a better tomorrow those sentiments apply to us all
And though the future we cannot look into the past we can readily recall
Of life there is truth in the saying that we must take the good days with the bad
The bright moments of joy and laughter and the dark moments when we feel sad.
We may have great plans for the future for a better tomorrow maybe
But what the future might hold for us is something that we cannot see
We keep on in hope of the good times and we all need our dreams to pursue
And if for me good things don't happen then good things might happen for you.
