The cycle of day and night
When chirping of birds reaches my ear,
When the call of the caller
Does the heart tear,
When the rippling of the river do I hear,
I smile and thank Him
For the beautiful morning.
When the sun travels towards the west,
When evening bares her dark breast,
When fog descends on
the snowy crest,
I smile and thank Him
For the graceful decline.
When sky is filled with blinking light,
When evening leaves for the drowsy night,
When stillness enhances night delight.
I smile and thank Him
For the meaningful dark
For after every night
It is morning again.
Thus the cycle continues
Till the time unknown.

A Midnight Caller
The sound of Dakota by Stereophonics,
The periodic sound of my ringtone,
In that moment sub-conciousness,
There goes the midnight caller,
Like a phantom she whispers soft words,
Like a baby I concentrate unto her,
She tells me she couldnt sleep,
Only my voice could rescue her,
Jailed in her iron cell,
Of solitude in a lonely night,
She is a midnight caller
Her voice so penetrative like winter winds,
Sending an impulse down to my toes,
My night is changed for the better,
Like she is right there with me,
My pillow knnows her voice,
So does my linen sheets,
In the silence of the dark nights,
Stereophonics, Dakota plays again,
Goodnight wishes again and again,
She is a midnight caller
Midnight, my seasonal best friend,
Only in need not in deed,
Approach faster, I have fallen in love,

Twentyfour Hours
Morning skies of blue,
morning drops of dew,
some overhead,
some beneath my feet,
They both come into view.
Afternoon sun so bright,
afternoon heat so white,
some on my skin
how I feel it burn.
It makes me welcome the night.

Infection Or Infatuation
Last night, from across a crowded room
She infected me with her smile
And this morning, I discovered
It hurt like hell when I peed
In this age of AIDS and SARS
One can't be too careful
Condoms, face masks and more
But how do you protect yourself from a smile?
From across that room, our eyes met
Her smile bridged the distance between us
An intimate moment, between two strangers
An imagined one night stand
Now one night stands have their dangers
Your conquest might be a psycho who won't let go
Not to mention pregnancy or STD'S
Hope I don't have one of those
But how could I? It was only a smile
Granted unlike any smile I had ever seen before

Then why do I have this pain
Call the Urologist, make an appointment
See him the next day, tests taken
Questions asked, unprotected sex?
