When I was a tree

within the twiligth beside the willows
I stood the light
with the hope almost dying
under the fingertips
I marked by a sunbeam path
the circles of time around my neck

when I was a tree
deep down in the root
the strength of my growth was squatted
it weaved the web of a beginning
under a rough core the trunk
sucked in all the water of a dawn
within the bare boughs there nested
a prayer of mine for the end
the leaves like mirrors reflected the sky

when I was a tree
I stood motionless
and all the movements were there within
the flight of a bird around my treetop
an aureole of the sun high up
the piercing of the wind through the boughs
all the penetrations deep into the ground

when I was a tree
within the twilight beside the willows
all I stood was the light
and I knew
I cannot sing a tree unless I am a tree
and there is no tree unless I sing it

kad sam bila drvo
u primraku pokraj breza
stajala sam svjetlost
pod dodirom obamrla nada
putanjom sunca bilježila
godove vremena na mom vratu

kad sam bila drvo
duboku u korijenju
sklupčana snaga rasta
plela je mrežu početka
pod hrapavom korom stablo
žilama upilu svu vodu svitanja
u golom granju gnijezdila se
molitva moja za kraj
a lišće kao ogledala
presijava nebo

kad sam bila drvo
stajala sam nepomično
a sva su kretanja bila u meni
let ptice oko moje krošnje
oreol sunca visoko iznad
probijanje vjetra kroz granje
sva poniranja duboko u zemlju

kad sam bila drvo
u sumraku pored breza
stajala sam samo svjetlost
i znala
ne mogu pjevati drvo ako nisam drvo
i nema drveta osim ako ga ne ispjevam

When I Was A Tree / Kad Sam Bila Drvo

Dusk beside the willows
I was standing in the light
A sunward hope wrote
Circles of time around my neck

When I was a tree
A deeply rooted curled hope of growth
Knitted a net of the beginning
There was a trunk under a rough core
The hairs drank the water of dawn
Bare boughs nested a prayer

When I was a tree
I was standing still
And all the movements
Were within me
A birds flight around my treetop
An aureole of the sun beyond

Two things I found out
I cannot sing a tree unless I’m a tree
And
There’s no tree unless I sing it

Kad sam bila drvo

Primrak pokraj breza
Stajala sam svjetlost
Pod dodirom obamrla nada
Putanjom sunca biljezila
Godove vremena na mom vratu

Kad sam bila drvo

Plela je mrezu pocetka
Pod hrapavom korom stablo

Picaro turns her face towards the sun

…chameleon like chiseled in a rock rock chained pours the rainbow colours the silent sky reflections where to think is if I was a tree I would turn my leaves to you so that you can mirror yourself in the streams of written currents if I were a butterfly I would turn my wings to you so that you can wing yourself in warmth from the hands an embrace to you if I had hands I would repeat the digging up of the wells which your light has not as yet reached if I was the light I would be faster than a thought if I had a thought from you I would make it a gift to the face cut in years towards death if I had a face I would not be a picaro of self an unoverstepped hurdle at the threshold of an entrance…I’ve got nothing.

Pikaro okreć e lice ka suncu

Kenapa bilang cinta

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila hanya sekejap mata
Kenapa bilang suka
Bila cuma di bibir saja

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila untuk status semata
Kenapa bilang saying
Bila bukan aku yang dibayang

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila semuanya pura-pura
Kenapa bilang peduli
Bila sebenarnya tak ada di hati

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila kata-kata tak dimakna
Kenapa bilang takdir
Bila nantinya berakhir

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila tak cukup rasa
Kenapa bilang segalanya
Bila akhirnya tak bersisa

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila alasan lain tak berguna
Kenapa bilang bahagia
Bila terus tersiksa

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila selalu terpaksa
Kenapa bilang tak masalah
Bila berpisah karena berubah

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila besok lalu lupa
Kenapa bilang selalu ada
Bila sepi kian mendera

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila tak berusaha percaya
Kenapa bilang mencoba
Bila menghindari terluka

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila berharap sebaliknya
Kenapa bilang mengerti
Bila tak pernah tepati janji

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila kau tak setia
Kenapa bilang selamanya
Bila aku bukan satu-satunya

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila tak pelihara baranya
Kenapa bilang melindungi
Bila kau biarkan mati

Kenapa bilang cinta
Bila bermimpi pun tak boleh juga
Kenapa bilang rindu
Bila tak lebih dari merayu

Waktu yang Tepat

kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila kita secepat kilat
atau sewaktu berhitung cermat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila bergerak mendekat
atau bersabar menunggu penjerat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila kita melihat
atau ketika tak ada yang berbuat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila kita terus memahat
atau dimana semua sudah tersurat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila kehormatan terdesak
atau kala keberanian terdapat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila musuh merapat
atau sewaktu tak terlambat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila kita menangkap waktu yang sesaat
atau saat melepas semua pemberat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila semua selamat
atau ketika datang mujizat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila emosi memuncak
atau dimana yang berkuasa adalah akal sehat
kapankah waktu yang tepat itu?
apakah bila janji sudah terikat
atau kala hidup dipenuhi karat

Jangan Malu-Malu

Jangan malu-malu
Lepaskan sepatumu
Lelehkan lantai yang beku
Dengan hentakan kakimu

Jangan ragu-ragu
Bila tak seorang pun bersamamu
Tak usah merasa malu
Bila mimpi tak sesuai keinginanmu

Jangan malu-malu
Buang semua ragu
Alunkan sebuah lagu
Untuk mengusir hati yang pilu

Jangan ragu-ragu
Bila kau inginkan sesuatu
Tunjukkanlah bila perlu
Tekadmu yang sekeras batu

a place untouched by a thought (Nafaka)

out of it the tree grows
a mountain will rise with me?
a twilight will sing with me?
through the windows of open restlessness
a piece of sense where will it go
stop the guitars
so that the darkness can sing
the music of sphere

mislju je dotaknuto mjesto iz koga raste drvo nade
hoce li samnom narasti planina
hoce li samnom propjevati sumrak
u prozore otvorenog nemira
kriska smisla dokle ce stici
zaustavi gitare
da zasvira tmina

That Night Was Longer Than My Breath

I threw the questions down the streams
From the pale apple of the Moon’s eye
I tore the sights of the world

With the bare boughs of my own fingers
I dived into the breathing of hours
There was with me the treetop of mist beating
Carried the moonlight bough glow

Across the woods I whispered the cold
Hidden within the gorges of the world
Down the abyss of my own lips
Pushed down
That night was longer than my breath

And when the dawn sweated over my brow
Hints cracking alongside my hair
Could not patchwork the morning smile

Ta noć mi je bila duža od daha
Niz potoke pitanja bacih
Iz bliede zjene Mjeseč evog oka
Potrgah prizore svijeta

Sa golim granjem rođ enih prstiju
Uronih u disanje sati
Samnom je kucala krošnja od magle
Na granama ponijela mjeseč ast sjaj

Po šumama studen prošaptah
U vrleti svijeta skrivena
Niz obronke rođ enih usana
Survana
Ta noć mi je bila duža od daha

A kad mi se svitanju orosilo č elo
Sa kosom dok su mi pucale i slutnje
Nisam znala jutru da zakrpim osmjeh

Sorry sorry

no road for this map
no train for this ticket
I've got nothing

sorry sorry
the colours for this dawn I still haven't found
the libreto for this twilight I still haven't written
neither the most difficult sonnet in the world
for an angel asleep
nor a drama for a lonely sideroad tree
a fragile shelter

sorry sorry
no road for this map
no ticket for this train
I've got nothing

za ovaj put nemam mapu
za ovu kartu nemam voz
nemam ništa

sorry sorry
za ovo svitanje još nisam pronašla boje
za ovaj sumrak još nisam napisala libreto
ni najteži sonet na svijetu
za usapavanog anđela
ni dramu za usamljeno drvo krajputaša
sklonište krhko

sorry sorry
za ovaj put nemam mapu
za ovaj voz nemam kartu
nemam ništa

I'm Just An Ordinary Tree

My existence
start from a little piece of seed...

First, I was bury on the ground...
Then, I showed my two cute leaves up in to world...

But it didn't end just like that...
I grow... more and more...

With love, hope and care,
I became a tree...

Tree with many leaves,
if you need some shady circumstance...

Tree with a strong wood,
if you need me to make a good wardrobe...

Tree with a tight root,
if you want to make a solid foundation...

Tree with a sincerely pray,
if you need a support...

Tree with an everlasting presence,
if you need a friend beside you forever...

Tree with a dry branch,
if you want to share your tears...

Tree with a pure dew,
if you feel thirsty...

Tree with a warm wind,
if you get cold and alone...

Tree with a full color's flowers,
if you feel your life so black and white...

Tree with many hopes,
if you lost your dreams away...

But... after all,
I'm just an ordinary Tree...

Quite civilisational/Sasvim civilizacijski

within an eye of his own face a circle formed
with the walk along the edges of a clock
into the clock hands the knives stand gathered
they push the time between their teeth
they're cutting a tree of each growth
whatever has grown on the blade
is a dropp written in blood
a buried verse swims within
whatever is sparkling on the blade
is a whiteness of an innocent drop
that whispers I'd like to live

sasvim civilizacijski

u oku lica svog obrazovan krug
ophodom po ivicama sata
u kazaljke skupljeni nozevi
guraju vrijeme medju zube
sakate drvo svakog rasta
sve sto na sjecivu stasa
krvlju je ispisana kap
u kojoj pliva sahranjen stih
sve sto se na sjecivu bjelasa
bjelinom je nevina kap
sto sapce da zivim ja bih

A New leaf

There’s a new leaf upon the Tree
A thousand, thousand have been before
In the life of this great tree
Yet, the Tree rejoices, and is glad
For there is a New Leaf upon the tree

The roots are deep, and hidden
Tis one tree from root to branch
And lives in and through each leaf
The hearts’ smile resurrected
Through the New leaf upon the tree

Like the stars of heaven
New leaves have been many
And so they all are One
For they all share the same root
Bless the New leaf upon the tree

Perfection in the Blessing
Joy released in tears of love
The strength in life will comfort
From root to God above
A New leaf upon the tree

Beauty, Truth, and life
Complete from root to branch
When life’s cycle turns
Leaves fall to nourish roots
And behold, a New leaf upon the tree

Marula tree trunk

Strong winds blow against the Marula tree trunk,
They come with miscellaneous objects,
Light and heavy,
And use them to break the Marula tree trunk,
But nothing happens to the Marula tree trunk,

Light and heavy rains come,
The Marula tree smiles,
For the plentiful rain water will make
It stronger and taller,

Animals come and sleep under and on top
Of the Marula tree,
Lean and rub their itching bodies
Against the Marula tree trunk,
Relieve themselves against it,
But nothing happens to the Marula tree trunk,

The human race use the Marula tree for shade
Against the merciless summer heat of the Limpopo sun,
And eat or make beer with Marula,
But, alas! One vicious human being returned,
And chopped it,
Off goes the faithless Marula tree trunk,
To be scorched by the everlasting home burning fires.

Under The Laburnum Tree

(A simple tale)

Under the Laburnum tree
She saw his gentle face
Under the Laburnum tree
She knew their first embrace

Under the Laburnum tree
She gave to him her love
Under the Laburnum tree
Beneath the stars above

Under the Laburnum tree
He left her there to cry
Under the Laburnum tree
That`s where she chose to die

(Under the Laburnum tree
Were scattered all its seeds
Under the Laburnum tree
Amongst the growing weeds)

Under the Laburnum tree
The moon was shining bright
Under the Laburnum tree
Her silv`ry soul took flight

Under the Laburnum tree
At last she was set free
Under the Laburnum tree
She found eternity

When I was only three I planted a tree

When I was three I planted a tree. This was my tree and together we would always be. I gave it love and it to me, and so we were happy, me and my tree.
Then one day they came to see me and my tree. Men with no faces, and they said to me, you must go, and leave this tree.
Buy why I ask. For we've done no harm. Me and my tree, please let us be.
So they left us alone, me and my tree, but only for a while but I could not see.
Then one day they came and took me away. My tree was needed to save the day. Goods it will make it makes perfect sense. So we will take this tree, for wood we need. And so it was done, they took my tree.
And now I look around, my tree I no longer see. Taken from, this tree I planted when I was three.

A Tree To Me

A Tree to Me
Once there was tree
It looks so strange to me
Wondering how it become a tree
A small sprout from a seed in my hand
Now, it's bigger than me.

Unfortunately, tree stood alone
Grows without heart and soul
No friend, no companion
But still stand strong
For you to help on

A tree is a friend to me
That set you free from calamity
From floods and erosion you are free
As you rest under the tree,
Think how lucky you are with a tree.

A Christmas Tree! A Christmas Tree!

A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
With dark green needled memories
Of childhood dreams and mysteries
Wrapped present-like in front of me.

A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
I glimpse a past wherein i see
The child that then grew into me
Not forward fast but haltingly.

A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
A time for being with family
A time that's gone so fleetingly
Yet lives for always deep in me.

A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
When twelfth night comes whole hauntingly
One lingered look and then i see
No Christmas tree where it would be.

A Christmas tree! A Christmas tree!
With feelings now felt longingly
No corner in my house to see
The magic of that Christmas tree.

On Tree

Just a plain old TREE. I Ignored the weather
satisfied with me. I Looked at TREE.

What if anything do I knoe about TREE.
It used to be a thing made out of wood, always tall,

with branches near the ground. Roots fingering the ground.
Life comes up somehow to TREE. Water cascades down to ground, seeping slowly into ROOT. ROOT transmogrifies

the water into inner sanctum stuff known only to the Lord.
People still tell me, Tree just cannot live.

There is no real feeling in TREE.
There is knowledge in TREE or it would be a blade of grass.

People say the life is in the seed or sapiling.
I think the knowledge is in the MAN, the ONE who can.

He Makes all the TREE begin, upon a distant planet,
Creates the thing again, in the courtyard of his KING.

And every meadow of his earth.
The ONE who gave me birthe the second time around.

The ONE who gave me TREE.
And Time to write this down.
