The Story Of Seven Sages-Prica O Sedam Mudraca
millions of breathings in an anxious breath
seven sages were given
seven drops of waiting
seven drops of hope
seven sages were given
three warm kisses
three gentle touches
seven sages were given
and one though only in endless admiration
Inexpressibility fingers sculptured life
mirijade disanja u tjeskobi daha
sedmorici mudraca neko je dao
sedam kapi čekanja
sedam kapi nadanja
sedmorici mudraca neko je dao
tri topla poljupca
tri meka dodira
sedmorici mudraca neko je dao
i samo jednu misao u beskraju divljenja
sedmorici mudraca neko je da
Život je izvajan prstima Neizrecivosti

Someone Not You/Neko Ko Nije Ti
someone not you
someone not me
someone not us
someone long ago
somewhere quite close
they weaved the curse
someone long ago
somewhere quite close
they dug a grave
someone not you
someone not me
they know
who that was
who within us
slapped the dawn
neko ko nije ti
neko ko nije ja
neki koji nisu mi
neko nekada davno
negdje sasvim blizu nas
ispleo je kob
neko nekada davno
negdje sasvim blizu nas
kopao je grob
neko ko nije ti
neko ko nije ja
zna
ko su ti
koji su u nama
osamarili svitanje

You can't just play the same thing, over and over again.
I tried to have more than one emotion on the record.
Everyone has to kind of fend for themselves.
Inclusive
One
In two
Dialogue essence plays
Tragic tetrax piece played
Open curtains smile epilogue greets
Made-up actors’ masks outplayed life stands
Seven drops of wisdom one- in -two an answer
Jedan
U dvoma
Igra suštinu dijaloga
Tragič nim tetraksom odigran komad
Osmjeh raširenih zavjesa pozdravlja epilog
Maske našminkanih glumaca život nadigran stoji
Sedam kapi mudrosti jedan u dvoma odgovor

All I want to do is sing on other people's records.
Country music is completely punk-rock. It's the original punk-rock.
In the steps of Rumi 83: Watch and pray..
Sages of the east say,
the first cry of the new-born baby
and the last breath of the dying
together make up the divine Name..
in the meantime...
remember, and listen..
sages of the west say,
birds fly, fishes swim, and man prays..
remember what it was
you should be praying for;
listen for the answer...
maybe a sage will pass tomorrow;
maybe you'll be at the window.
Sages like questions;
never enough.

Where I have ceased/Tamo gdje sam stala
Where I have ceased the morning will move on
I'll recognise the down by the drops of rain
I want to watch the sun as if it were the first time
I want to watch the sky as if it were the last
Where I have ceased the waters will move away
The thought of a dropp will be burnt in endlessness
There will remain a misty memery dewed
Of drinking to the bottom
Where I ceased the life will move on
The roads will be remembered from the fountain prime
I'll write the paths in hundeds of ways
At the bottom of my own eyes
Tamo gdje sam stala nastavice jutro

Statues Of Sages
Some statues of sages are requested
For the staying is theirs.
Caught by the realm, we provide a problem
For the stationary sort of creatures.
Sages command me further than me,
They write according to paintings,
Their amusements reveal us as we speak.
Understand the men who accomplish
And their survival is needed by the few.
Reading books of authority
We as statues are also sages.

Millions of water drops
drops of water
millions of drops
Falling down the rocks
Millions of water drops
Glittering in the sun
Shining like pearls
Millions of water drops
Ending as a river
Finding way to ocean
Millions of water drops
Creating childrens happiness
Laughter and joyfullness
Millions of water drops
Soon will tide reach
White long shores
Millions of water drops
Animating Waves
into forming caves
Millions of water drops
splittering from above
till reaching top of the hill
Millions of water drops
Without them no sound
No whispers of the living
Millions of water drops
Watch the clearness
From crest to earth
Millions of water drops
For tribe’s best
Beware of waste
Millions of water drops
Treasured should they be
As belonging to all humanity

Tao's A Verb
eastern sages say
good evil
pleasure pain
all extremes
experience same,
implying thereby
balance is better
than wherever
we happen to be
right now.
a reason
i suppose
one sometimes spots
eastern sages chuckling

Consolation
O but there is wisdom
In what the sages said;
But stretch that body for a while
And lay down that head
Till I have told the sages
Where man is comforted.
How could passion run so deep
Had I never thought
That the crime of being born
Blackens all our lot?
But where the crime's committed
The crime can be forgot.

You, very human/Ti, veoma ljudsko
you who are everything out of your nothing
you co-builder co-creator
you whom I'm building and you're being torn down
you a participant of my answer
someone facing the otherness
I facing myself
you facing yourself
you very human sometimes too much
sometimes not at all
a token inhaled into dust
you a tribe you a nation you a world
you the skin of the sun the desert the night and the snow
you always the same
your heart and mind paving heaven and hell
you who are everything out of your nothing
ti koji si sve od svoga nista
ti sa-graditelj sa-tvoritelj
ti što te gradim a ti se razgradjujes
ti sa-ucesnik mog odgovora
spram drugosti neko
spram sebe ja
spram tebe ti
ti veoma ljudsko nekad isuviše
nekad uopšte
ti pleme ti narod ti svijet
umom i srcem poplocan pakao i raj
ti koji si sve od svoga ništa

Sages
Sages mark with pens a scribe’s thought,
Masking their mighty thinking and philosophy
And producing scholarship to ruin a devil’s jest.
Scholars are bending the rules
And failing the test of success
For they hasten to their graves
Due to deadly words and deeds.
Their wishes are sounding notes of music,
And the written word has been shown
Always by sages.

A leaf of hope
Between the being and memory
A memo's hit against a human
And the crumbs of waiting
Between the foreboding and the first darkness
Like a shadow
Alone with the burden of silence
Between the morning and awakening
Star-like he carries the cross
A leaf of hope
Travka nadanja
Izmedu bica i sjecanja
O covjeka razbi se pomen
I truni cekanja
Izmedju slutnje i prve tmine
Ko sjenka
Sam s teretom tišine
Izmedu jutra i nudenja
Zvjezdano nosi svoj krst
Travka nadanja

Come to your numbers
come to your one
come to your three
to your a tetrax truth
square root amidst
come to your seven
come to your sages
come to your nine
come to your brothers
millions came
to tell the truth
it came to naught
millions driven to none
because they never
came to one

As much as I converse with sages and heroes, they have very little of my love and admiration. I long for rural and domestic scene, for the warbling of birds and the prattling of my children.

A Poet Leaving Athens
Speak not too ill of me, Athenian friends!
Nor ye, Athenian sages, speak too ill!
From others of all tribes am I secure.
I leave your confines: none whom you caress,
Finding me hungry and athirst, shall dip
Into Cephisos the grey bowl to quench
My thirst, or break the horny bread, and scoop
Stiffly around the scanty vase, wherewith
To gather the hard honey at the sides,
And give it me for having heard me sing.
Sages and friends! a better cause remains
For wishing no black sail upon my mast.
'Tis, friends and sages! lest, when other men
Say words a little gentler, ye repent,
Yet be forbidden by stern pride to share
The golden cup of kindness, pushing back
Your seats, and gasping for a draught of scorn.
Alas! shall this too, never lackt before,
Be, when you most would crave it, out of reach?
Thus on the plank, now Neptune is invoked,
I warn you of your peril: I must live,
And ye, O friends, howe'er unwilling, may.

The sky is a circle/Nebo je krug
nebo je krug
zatvoren za misao neba
prostora ima vise u kapi vode
kojom gasim zedj za poznanjem
od neba odbolovan san
the sky is the circle
closed for the thought of the sky
there’s more space within a waterdrop
in which I quench the thirst of knowledge
it’s a dream the sky had already got over
