The price of a scar
never cut out in a word womb
never carved in visible skin
never shown and never opened
never touched by a sunbeam to be healed
is the one with the highest price

Saved
I was blinded by the devil,
Born already ruined,
Stone-cold dead
As I stepped out of the womb.
By his grace I have been touched,
By his word I have been healed,
By his hand Ive been delivered,
By his spirit Ive been sealed.
Ive been saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved,
Saved,
And Im so glad.
Yes, Im so glad,
Im so glad,
So glad,
I want to thank you, lord,
I just want to thank you, lord,
Thank you, lord.
By his truth I can be upright,
By his strength I do endure,
By his power Ive been lifted,
In his love I am secure.
He bought me with a price,
Freed me from the pit,
Full of emptiness and wrath
And the fire that burns in it.
Ive been saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved,
Saved,
And Im so glad.
Yes, Im so glad,
Im so glad,
So glad,
I want to thank you, lord,
I just want to thank you, lord,
Thank you, lord.
Nobody to rescue me,
Nobody would dare,
I was going down for the last time,
But by his mercy Ive been spared.
Not by works,
But by faith in him who called,
For so long Ive been hindered,
For so long Ive been stalled.
Ive been saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved
By the blood of the lamb,
Saved,
Saved,
And Im so glad.
Yes, Im so glad, Im so glad,
So glad, I want to thank you, lord,
I just want to thank you, lord,
Thank you, lord.

Did You See What Jesus Did?
'Unclean, unclean' the leper had to say
and sadly watch the people run away.
But then to Jesus at the mountainside he came
to be healed of all his sickness and his shame.
Look, did you see what Jesus did?
He touched the leper from whom they hid.
The Holy One touched this unclean soul
and took away his shame making him whole.
Jesus can do the same for you and me
for stricken and smitten of God was He.
All our sins on Him have been laid
when on the cross sins price was paid.
At Calvary His blood He shed
and for our healing suffered and bled.
'Father, forgive' out loud He cried
and the law of God was satisfied.
The leprosy of our sin upon Him was laid
as the price upon that cross He paid.
Deep healing of body, soul and mind
there at the cross of Jesus we can find.

Summer Son
Im tired of telling the story
Tired of telling it your way
Yeh I know what I saw
I know that I found the floor
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
I thought I had a dream to hold
Maybe that has gone
Your hands reach out and touch me still
But this feels so wrong
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Before you take my heart, reconsider
Ive opened the door
Ive opened the door
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Here comes the winters rain
To cleanse my skin
I wake again
Im over you
Here comes the summers son
He burns my skin
I ache again
Im over you
Here comes the winters rain
To cleanse my skin
I wake again
Im over you
Im over you

The Still Borns Of Africa
we are still in the womb
swimming in the filthy fluid of corruption
we are still in the womb
battling to cut the umbilical cord of pollution
we are still in the womb
preying on the reminant of deprived relation
we are still in the womb
drowning in the congest world of deprivation
we are still in the womb
protesting against divisional segregation
we are still in the womb
exsalting the strength of voices calling for attention
we are still in the womb
reaching the spheres through screw faces and traumatic expression
we are still in the womb
paddling our ways through neglect and isolation
we are still in the womb
stirring gently towards the end of our active function
we are still in the womb of africa
waiting to be called the still borns of our mother

Be Very Patient
Be very patient,
The potter's clay;
Be very wise,
The writer's pen;
Be very useful,
Of the muse of life with a living hope;
Let your yes be yes and your no be no.
Life is like the patience of Iyyob,
So abstain from fleshly lust;
Like the days of our visitations on this earth.
Sarah obeyed Abraham,
Like the sea and the seashore;
So established are the two witnesses.
Oh womb, womb, womb!
Oh bomb, bomb, bpomb! !
Oh tomb, tomb, tomb! ! !
Be very patient in this life.
Womb. bomb, tomb;
The womb is opened.
Womb, bomb, tomb;
The earth is defiled.
Womb, bomb, tomb;
The time of trouble on this earth with our muses.
Our bombs will shake the heavens,
And our sins will led us to our tombs;
As it is written in the Book Of Life like,
A child born today from the womb.
We came out of the womb and,
Many of us will be killed by the bombs! !
Which will finally send us into the tombs.
Read about the facts,
Learn about the truth,
Our days of darkness from the womb!
We came out of the womb and,
Are destroying the world with our bombs;
Soon, we will be buried in the tombs!
Womb, bomb, tomb;
Be very patient on this earth without hatred.
Lets be each others keeper,
Lets learn for the truth of all things;
Our days on this earth is still very short.

The Woman with faith
For years you suffered
a dreadful decease
difficult was your life!
You heard
of the Lord Jesus
heard about His
healing powers
One morning you saw
Him passing by
you thought if you could
only touch His garment
you would be healed
your hand reached out
you touched His garment
What a faith you had
desired to be healed
to live life normally
and to be healed forever
courage you had
like no one else
You were healed
by the Lord's
healing power
He said:
'Courage my daughter
your faith
has made you well'
Your faith was
praiseworthy
strong enough
to move mountains
Blind faith
the faith
of a child
Faith you showed
too many
of us to move
mountains away
from our own will's
and desires

It Is Hard To Be Visible
too much light kills me
i could be some sort of a fungus
thriving beneath a cave
where the dripping of sorrow
the wetness of tears
makes me grow
it is hard to be visible to your light
and so here i am in the greyness of my season
in dampness of my existence
in the silence of my longing
i could have touched your skin
but i know what happens next
i know it
i am not ready to dissolve and be gone
forever.

Once
Once embraced, cant ever be let go
Once revealed, cant ever be not shown
Once believed, cant ever lose faith
Once shared, cant ever be separate
Once sown, once cant ever be not reaped
Like the dawn of a brand new day
With the power of deity
Well, I can feel it inside of me
Feel it. can you feel it?
Once born, cant ever be not conceived
Once present, cant ever be past
Once first, once cant ever be not everlast
Returning home of the prodigal
Holding the intangible
To believe in a miracle
Believe it. can you believe it?
Have you ever been touched?
Once whoa, really touched?
Could it ever be too much?
Whoa-oh-oh, can you tell me?
Once seen, cant ever lose sight
Once dawn, cant ever be not light
Once, once felt, once felt
Cant ever be untouched
The assurance only hope can bring
With the conviction of the unseen
See its greater than everything
See it, oh can you see it?
Have you ever been touched?
Once whoa-oh really, really touched?
Could it ever be too much?
Whoa-ooh-oh oh, can you tell me?
Have you ever really touched love once?
(oh!)
Oh! have you ever been touched?
Once whoa-oh-oh really touched?
Could it ever be too much?
I dont know. did you tell me?
Have you ever really touched
Once. whoa-oh really, really touched?
Could it ever be too much?
Oh-ooh somebody tell me
Have you ever really touched
Love once?
Ah, have you ever really touched
Love once?
Have you ever really touched love
Touched love?
Woooo-ooooo
Woooo-ooooo
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Wooo-oooo
Wooo-oooo
Wooo-oooo-oooo
Oh, love once. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

Like That
Surprise the sun surprise for the glow
For all the things that were not meant to be
The day's not a word
Cannot take it back
Resting on a sunbeam
What it meant to me
Cannot be placed in searches
It's not in the mind it's not in the hands
The lights plethora all darkness dwelled
Spat on the outskirts the city of a soul
Not a single thing
To be heavened or helled
Can no longer measure the price of a moment
It's like that and that's all

When Things Are Too Obvious Like Grass On The Plains...
something that cannot be
said is
well contained
too visible
as obvious as grass spread
on the plains
as shining as the sun on
the top of the hill
why do you ask about something
that you have already seen
and even touched?
what are you?
are you a redundant phrase?
in times like these
the stare is the star of our show
feasting eyes
on the surfaces of the skin
on silent arms
we rest our restlessness
in here no preachers are allowed
only
spectators with discriminating
tastes
only those who are willing
to die
and redeem themselves
with
a raw smile
sly and
yet so full of the radiance of
that
first awe....

Opened The Door
Girl, oh you came to me
Touched my life
Girl, how you sheltered me
Touched my life
Its the joy, you gave to me
When I was on my own, alone
Girl, your lips touching mine
Ooh so fine
Girl, softly touching me
Ooh so fine
Shes the smile in my heart that sings
Is a song for you again
Ooh, she opened up the door
She made my life once more
Yes she opened
Ooh, you opened up the door
Ya made my life once more

To Earth
i am not here as a guest
i am never served and nothing is free
i pay for every
service of yours
i pay the price
for every inch of
life
i do not eat a free
meal
i always pay the price
of anxious hours
i give my skin
i shed off
i barter my mind
i am left blankly staring
at the
sunset
i traded my future
for all your stars
and what i have is
just this
moment
say the word
i am always willing to give it back
when i leave let no one say that
i owe someone something
that i carry what once was borrowed
by me
i do not claim ownership
i only have my burdens
i am dignified
i always have this freedom
to go and be with no one else
i do not own anyone
and no one owns me
i know the law
which i have pawned for nothing less
but equity
i paid the price
i give everything away
now i am all empty
and as uttered by that old and dying poetess
i have also become so ripe
so full
falling becomes my own
perfection
my pulp and sweetness
and even all my bitterness
is enough
to pay the price
of every inch of life
and when death receives me will
both hands
i say nothing because i owe no one
and one one owes me
nothing

Daughter of my womb
Daughter of my womb
You've stabbed my heart so bad
You've killed the bearer of your life
Daughter of my womb am dying
My smile is but a frown
I have no idea whom I will crown
As the daughter of your womb
For you've sent them all to the tomb
My wrinkled hands needed a tender one
My closing eye libs needed to see before they are gone
The seed of the seed of my womb are no more
Daughter of my womb, you've killed the daughters of your womb
The medicine man in his robes
Administered the wrong root for a drug
Your womb is empty I have nothing to wait for
Why didn't you tell me of your planned atrocities before?
Daughter of my womb
Daughter of my womb
You've stabbed my heart so bad
You've killed the bearer of your womb
You've sent your seed to the tomb
You've dragged the generation of your womb
Daughter of my womb, you've killed us.

Womb to womb to tomb
I am born unto this womb
To be born again unto another womb
Before I take birth once again unto another womb
Then as mark of respect
A tomb shall man place on that womb
To remind the world
That this day a man
Was, born unto this womb.
Before another birth I seek
To live another life in another womb
In the seas of life I shall swim
Before I am once again ready
To take birth unto this womb
To be born again unto another womb
Before, I take birth once again to be entombed.

Gracing The Garden
Stone sundial, an age old keeper of time,
You stand forlorn.
Motionless, soundless, waiting for rime,
Lichened and worn.
Rain and snow beat down with force,
You remain aloof.
Never altering your stance, or course,
You are weatherproof.
So elegant, composed, calm and serene,
A restful form.
In sandy colours, camouflaged in green,
You endure the storm.
Gracing the garden, you're a joy to view,
An ancient clock,
Ticking silently away, the whole day through,
Carved style, baroque.
In your own stately way, you make me smile,
You rank supreme.
Your excellent etched face, a fine carved dial,
For each sunbeam.

Bright Sunny Day
If you wake up in the morning light
Something doesn't seem
or know is right
Lay back and let your feeling show
Come on and let the people know
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Just ?? money
Your baby ??
??
Now come on boys,??
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.
Bad news is just an excuse
Get down and
let yourself keep loose
Go on and live for tomorrow
So much spent today in sorrow
Oh, that's the price that you pay
Oh, that's the price that you pay.

From Womb To Tomb Is My Life Going To Be
I had never, ever seen the light of day
and have had to use a stick to find my way.
From womb to tomb is my life going to be
a life of darkness because I cannot see?
'Lord who did wrong' someone said,
'Was it this man or his parents instead? '
'No one had sinned' I heard Jesus say.
'For you will see the glory of God today.'
Just there as we stood to my great surprise
He made some mud and pasted it on my eyes.
Then He told me to go to the place called 'Sent'
So off to the Pool of Siloam I went.
As I washed my eyes I received my sight
and for the very first time could see sunlight.
Saw men and animals, trees and the sky
and watched all the peoples walking by.
Blind leaders of the blind they did not realise
that it was the was the Christ who'd opened my eyes.
For until our eyes are opened by the Lord
we all remain blind and dead to God's word.
