't was nineteen ninety something
the end of a century a re-do re-new
bright through millennium piercing
ages ages long creeds into broad brands 'k
we thought would never end
broken slips into the land of Thai
on tip of a holiday never brought any weather with
said nothing no word no eye no nothing at all
no weather at all just climates on the ice caps
sea stones and ice for a winter too cold for a 'k
thought of sort of broken news the breaking hearts
marching lines for a re-do re-new re-done trilogies
prologues epilogues maximes tombstones empty signs

Signs of the Believer

Under us are signs of the believers,
We walk upon snow and ice too cold.
The ice age reigns like winter,
Always in shine, ever in weather.
The waves of pure delight overcome us
When we march against the lands.
The land of cold is like the land of old,
We are fortunate due to the age of winter.
Under the signs of winter are moments
We adore and recollect, for the innocence to remind.
This realised me, and my family in winter,
Understanding the heat of the summer.

It Really Never Was...

the day is getting darker
painting shadows on the wall
broken wings of blue skies
going for a moment

everything's now in the evening
with longings in the deep
and wishes still not happening

the winter
glasses with frosty roses
and perfect days in somberness
in the white weather

every thought
is now alone
reaching to the mountains
faraway
in silences of time

every hour
is cold and getting colder
with drifting clouds
in northern skies
that can't hold back

how do I not be alone
when times are like these
how do I not feel the blues
when the clouds surrounds me
with few landings
into summer thoughts

every hour
is cold and getting colder
with drifting clouds
in northern skies
that can't hold back

the winter
comes soft and sweet
with clean glisten thoughts
and snowflakes that never stop pouring...
when it gets cold outside

the winter
oh the winter
how fresh it can get
how cold it can get

it really never was...
full of romantic
it just has these surprises
in the weather
that can't hold back
the clouds that surrounds me

it really never was...
just the winter

it really never was...
just the winter

Heavy Weather

(michael sembello)
In the news today
Heavy weather
Oh, I can remember
The skies were so blue
That lucky old moon I promised to you
Now its gone lately
Somethings happening
I dont understand
Oh, how come decembers
Are hotter that june?
And how come the flowers
Dont know when to bloom?
Somethings wrong, people
Somethings happening
Happening where we live
The rising smoke against an endless sea of cars
As mother nature gets another senseless scar
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
The rain is falling harder each day
The faces keep changing
But the problem remains
Somethings wrong, people
Right before our eyes
Weve been hypnotized
The sound of silence
Broken by the sound of war
How can we heal
If we keep opening up the sore?
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
Will we ever hear the message?
Read the signs?
Stop all this talking now
Its time to save our lives
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy...
The road ahead keeps leading back again
The train were on is coming to an end
Lets open up our eyes
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather

Everything Is Broken

Broken lines, broken strings, broken threads, broken springs
Broken idols, broken heads, people sleeping in broken beds
Aint no use jivin, aint no use jokin
Everything is broken
Broken bottles, broken plates, broken switches, broken gates
Broken dishes, broken parts, streets are filled with broken hearts
Broken words never meant to be spoken
Everything is broken
Seems like every time you stop and turn around
Someone else has just hit the ground
Broken cutters, broken saws, broken buckles, broken laws
Broken bodies, broken bones, broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath, feel like youre chokin
Everything is broken
Every time you leave and go off some place
Things fall to pieces in my face
Broken hands on broken plows, broken treaties, broken vows
Broken pipes, broken tools, people bending broken rules
Hound dog howlin, bullfrog croakin
Everything is broken

Paradise

I tuned in to the tv once again today
Watch the news to educate my mind
The destruction and the chaos that confronted me
It's our world caught in it's own demise
(As I sat there I began to cry)
The situation worsens every day that goes by
(And I thought how can this be, Lord why)
So heavy on me all those that are hurting inside
If I had a dollar for every heart that's broken
For every word of love unspoken
For every childhood dream that's never realize
If I had a penny for all the wrong we're doing
And all the ways we could be moving on
Maybe I could buy you paradise
Just to see some hope in your eyes
Sometimes life it seems a bit too much for me
More things we must survive on top of all that we had before
Broken hearts, broken homes, kids abused left alone
So many in the streets, homeless with no food to eat
(I know God hears us crying out)
Run to Him for all the answers, don't turn away
(If we look to Him there is no doubt)
He'll give us all the help we need, he knows the way, still if I
If I had a dollar for every heart that's broken
For every word of love unspoken
For every childhood dream that's never realize
If I had a penny for all the wrong we're doing
And all the ways we could be moving on
Maybe I could buy you paradise
Just to see some hope in your eyes
There are so many troubles, God knows what we need to do
He has us in His hands, knows what we are going through
Silver and gold have I none, what I have I give to you
His word says we can make it and I know His word is true
Here's to the hurting souls and for all the broken hearts
All those who've been abused, who's life has been torn apart
I don

Change Of Weather

September came along
and brought with it
a change of weather.
The humid days
were suddenly cold and windy.
A few, very nice, cool, fall days,
managed to slip in,
even though it wasn’t quite fall yet.
So, as I do every September,
I emptied out my closet of
t-shirts, and short sleeved shirts.
With all that room in there
I decided to fill it with my winter shirts,
even though I didn’t need them, just yet.
And don’t you know,
I got caught again?
No sooner did I get the summer shirts away
and the winter ones out -
what happens?
There’s a change of weather.
The warmer days kicked in again.
I sure can use those t-shirts now.
But, I’ve got them packed away,
and away they’ll stay.
This is the time of year
when the weather doesn’t know
if it wants to be warm, cool or cold.
Well, I can always roll up the sleeves
on the long sleeved shirts, should I need to.
With changes of weather
as it is these days,
I’d rather play it safe.

A Bright And Sunny Day

A bright and sunny day in the Winter it makes one happy to be alive
A nice day to go out the Country if one had a car for to drive
Or to have a walk in the parkland and enjoy the Winter sunshine
Last night it was windy and raining this sort of weather suits me fine,
It is said of Victoria's weather that you get four Seasons in a day
It rains and becomes chilly and windy and skies become clouded and gray
And then the sun burns through the cumulus making everywhere warm and bright
And sparrows in the sunlit hedgerows are chirping in the Winter sunlight,
A bright and sunny day in the Winter and not a rain cloud in the sky
A typical Winter's day in Victoria what one might expect of July
The State of four Seasons in one day of chilly wind and of sunshine and rain
The magpie he pipes in all weather and the breeding frogs sing in the drain,
A bright and sunny day in the Winter and not a rain cloud in the sky
In the State of four Seasons in one day quite typical one might say for July.

Fallen, Empty, And Broken

fallen soldier
fallen sky
fallen angel
from on high
fallen heartache
fallen soul
fallen man
losing control

empty bed
empty arms
empty dreams
empty heart
empty wallet
empty hands
cant take nothin'
from an empty man

broken promises
broken vows
broken spirit
wont allow
broken fences
broken lives
broken tomorrows
broken nights

fallen, empty, and broken
every road is the same
bent, bruised, and shaken
still numb from the pain
now you dont answer
when i call out your name
fallen, empty, and broken
walking in the rain...

fallen, empty, and broken...

I Will Be Grateful For This Day

I will be grateful for this day that God gave me
That is full of sunshine during this winter day that is cold at the same Time
But I wished that God would take the cold back with him and leave me with the warm weather
But maybe it will be too hot when he brings the warm weather
So I will have to live with the cold weather for now

Heavy Rain

Fields everywhere, now are completely sodden.
No more can their surfaces be safely trodden.
The grass in the fields was all turning brown,
But now, I fear that the fields could drown.

This year, it looked like we were facing a drought,
But now, I can’t believe how much rain is about.
It rains all day long, without even a pause.
Only by the plants, is all this rain is adored.

On the roads, there are massive puddles.
In the fields, under trees, the cattle huddle.
I know we all said we wanted the rain,
But now, it’s becoming a bit of a pain.

There are grey skies constantly overhead,
And I’m not that tempted to leave my bed.
The water in the fields will take ages to go,
And, now many of the vegetables won’t grow.

In this weather, you're constantly soaking wet,
And, by many a gloomy face, are you often met.
At any moment, I fear there’ll be a thunder storm.
This weather makes me feel very far from warm.

Every day, there is more heavy downfalls forecast,
How much longer can this dreadful weather last?
Even the weather forecaster gives a sympathetic look.
This weather is really pretty bad, even by his book.

In the towns, the High Streets are somewhat deserted.
On some roads, floods cause the traffic to be diverted.
Leaves and general rubbish clutter up the drains,
So that, on the road surfaces, the water will remain.

It’s summertime, and the weather is supposed to be hot,
But we’ve had all this rain lately, so obviously it’s not.
People everywhere are cancelling their summer barbeques;
Informing all their guests of the rather disappointing news.

There was a time when summer was hot and winter was cold,
But, into one, the seasons now seemed to have been rolled.
The whole nation over, organisers are cancelling events,
While fed up campers are speedily packing up their tents.

What the weather would be like, you once were able to guess,
But it’s all turned topsy-turvy and is now a real bloomin’ mess.
In an ideal world, during the day, the sun could shine nice and bright,
Then the rain could fall for hours on end, as long as it was only at night.

A healthy mixture of sun and rain is what we really need;
Both of which are needed to germinate newly sown seeds.
I really do wish that this constant rain would just go away;
Allowing us to carry out activities, we’d planned for the day.

On Broken Wings

Little Jeanie Cried, she believed in all his lies
so much for being good, oh.
Johnny did not rest he did what he thought was best,
he did the best he could.
Don't try to see the world in different ways
Those moments and all those days.
Don't let them faint away.
On Broken Wings
I guess that's how you'll have to fly
two broken hearts
across the sky
Now he's feeling bad
his heart is cold it's o so sad
somehow he did her wrong, yeaheah
Little Jeanie's heart
is melting fast ow so fast.
Now she feels so strong
Don't try to see the world in different ways
Those moments and all those days
Don't let them faint away.
On Broken Wings
I guess that's how you'll have to fly
two broken hearts
across the sky.
Don't try to see the world in different ways
Those moments and all those days
Don't let them faint away.

Under the weather...

Under the weather
Down low
Beneath the ground
Water, mud, rain…

Soon I'll be gone
With the sand
In the wind

Sunny side up
Not so sunny
So I walk
Or is it mope?

I mope around
Away from the day
Escaping the sun's ray

Rainbow
Or is it a dark cloud?
I don't know
I can't see
I simply breathe
The dirty smoke

Under the weather
There I go
I just lost myself
Oops, clumsy me
I am but a simple waste of skin
That roams unnoticed
Undefined
Tragic Empty Space
Under the weather
Just a little raindrop
Leaking from tube to tube
Leaf to leaf
The bud of my light,
Now,
Turned back into a seed
Back to square one
Under the weather
Away from the sun
Under the weather
Under the mud

Purple, violet
I'm color blind
Corrupted
Interrupted
Blissfully unaware of my bind

Winter, fall
I don't matter
Silently, calmly, I crawl
Carrying my broken shell
Heavy weight
Fragile neck, my fragile back
Unseen snail
Under the weather
Under the rain…

Sonnet: The River

Without the River-water, can men live?
It satisfies man's thirst and helps crops grow;
To keep it pure for long, let man thought give;
Alas! 'Tis polluted in ways galore.

Carcasses, corpses, stay afloat on it;
Men bathe their body's dirt and empty sins:
Their 'sacred-ashes' are immersed by bit;
They wash their dirty linen and then rinse.

But why allow effluents to pollute?
Dead flora and fauna and excrement;
The River bears the ignominy brute,
It floods or dries in weather inclement.

0 sacred River, bear with men insane,
Who ages still profane thee without gain.

Say It (Don't Spray It)

Girl I can't understand you
You're like reading a big fat book in Hebrew.
I can tell by the way you drool,
You don't mean to be cruel.
Oh baby
Fess up to your feelings
and tell me you need me
Cuz' your ass is very pleasin'
Girl you got to say it, don't spray it
I want the news, not the weather!
Say it, don't spray it
I want the news, not the weather!
So say goodbye to those Levi's
and say hello to my sweet thighs.
We can hokey-pokey
(Just gimme the okie-dokie)
Fess up to your feelings,
Cause baby I'm needy
Oh baby, I'm really really needy.
Girl you got to say it, don't spray it
I want the news, not the weather!
Say it, don't spray it
I want the news, not the weather!
(Wave your hands if you like what we're sayin')
(Wave your hands if you like what we're playin')
Don't gimme no teasin'
Your ass is so pleasin'
As long as I'm breathin'
It makes me a heathin'!
(C'mon, C'mon)
(Everybody in the house)
(I want the news)
Say it, don't spray it
I want the the news, not the weather!
(Repeat 5x)

Diving into the deep depths of your desirable devotion
My atlantic blue pours empathy into your sea green ocean
With these aqueous pools we portray any thought or emotion
Not even icy stares can freeze the warmth that trickles through our stream of thought
We outlast all erosion and weather
Whether the weather likes it or not

What Does My Name Mean To You?

What does my name mean to you?
Does it rustle like an autumn leaf?
Does it sound for you like a belief
Or just a word said in brief?

What does my name mean to you?
Is it pure like the first winter snow?
Is it a heart breaking arrow
Or a severe cold winds blow?

What does my name mean to you?
Does it splatter like a stream in spring?
Does it matter for you and you’d like to sing
Or it just sounds like a broken string?

What does my name mean to you?
Is it a flight of a seagull over the ocean?
Does it show you my sincere devotion
Or it’s just a word for communication?

I saw you shrugging and understood,
You just need hugging to be in mood.

Empty Chairs

I feel the trembling tingle of a sleepless night
Creep through my fingers and the moon is bright
Beams of blue come flickering through my window pane
Like gypsy moths that dance around a candle flame
And I wonder if you know
That I never understood
That although you said you'd go
Until you did I never thought you would
Moonlight used to bathe the contours of your face
While chestnut hair fell all around the pillow case
And the fragrance of your flowers rest beneath my head
A sympathy bouquet left with the love that's dead
And I wonder if you know
That I never understood
That although you said you'd go
Until you did I never thought you would
Never thought the words you said were true
Never thought you said just what you meant
Never knew how much I needed you
Never thought you'd leave, until you went
Morning comes and morning goes with no regret
And evening brings the memories I can't forget
Empty rooms that echo as I climb the stairs
And empty clothes that drape and fall on empty chairs
And I wonder if you know
That I never understood
That although you said you'd go
Until you did I never thought you would

Rock In The Weary Land

My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
Yes my love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
None of this moves me,
I should be weeping but it only hurts when I yawn
I let it blow through me, and its gone!
Im dressed like a scarecrow
Stripped of all my power, as if some judge in judgement said
Off with his great coat, and his head!
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
Meaningless movies
On the screen behind the band thats blowing flowing shapes
Half of their music is on tape
My mentor and champion is busy tilting at the windows of his stately home
The daemon hes grappling
Is his own!
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
Yes my love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
His letter lies open
His accusations flow like poison from his every word
My heart would be broken, but for her
The fag-end of winter
Im in shock! Im on the ropes! I dont know whats become!
She plucks the splinter from my thumb
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
Yes my love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
My love is my rock
In the long, low, weary land
In the weary land!
My rock in a weary land
My rock in a weary land
My love is my rock in a weary land
My love is my rock in a weary land
In a weary land
Hey!
A rock in a weary land
A rock in a weary land
A rock in a weary land
My love is my rock in a weary land
My love is my rock in a weary land
My love is my rock is my rock in a weary land
My love is my rock is my love is my rock in a weary land
