A whisper of rain in a pond of silence

A droplet made ripple I am
Circling the wet worn sparkles of a fall
Spreading a bat born flight within the whole
Blind folded eyes enlarging the sphere
Drop mould ties uncircled unleashed
To make the wings for a fallen sky

Born Alone

Born alone to die alone
In between family is grown
And so many ties ar borne
Before it is all flown
On wings of death

Born alone to die alone
In between many hats are worn
Some to rejoice some to mourn
Before it is all blown
In winds of death

Born alone to die alone
In between unique spirit is shown
On the streets or on the throne
some to relive some to moan
in arms of death

Unleashed

Living in silence for eons,
He's planning the end for mankind
His eyes are ablaze with fury,
Venomous gaze is scorching us all
Feeling the stench of the carnage,
Sanctuary is wiped out and lost
The beast will announce it's arrival,
The moon turns bloodred,
The seas start to boil
Dreams of freedom perish and die
Sewing the seeds of death and decay
Soaring up to the sky, demonic vultures fly
Unleashed at last he is stalking the earth,
Spreading chaos and dismay
The sky is darkening slowly
As he draws forth over the plains
Corroding our hearts with his hatred,
Barren and dead lies the ground
Where he has been
His sign will be seen on his chosen
Fire will fall from the sky
Black is the veil of destruction
The lamb lies dead, the grail is no more
Dreams of freedom perish and die
Sewing the seeds of death and decay
Soaring up to the sky, demonic vultures fly
Unleashed at last he is stalking the earth,
Spreading chaos and dismay
Soaring up to the sky, demonic vultures fly
Unleashed at last he is stalking the earth,
Spreading chaos and dismay
Beware of the gaze of the serpent,
The evil can lead you astray
Feeling the blow of the trumpets,
The sky will fall down and life will decline
Dreams of freedom perish and die
Sewing the seeds of death and decay
Soaring up to the sky, demonic vultures fly
Unleashed at last he is stalking the earth,
Spreading chaos and dismay

Folded Wings

Folded wings to
retreat
finding a secure
sanctuary.

as a wounded dove
searching for a
peaceful enviroment.

forever in flight
always seeking-never
finding.

going to the well
again and again
leaving empty.

with a tear in her
eye
loneliness apparent
with folded wings
retreats.

Born This Way

(geoffrey williams and simon stirling)
Some people know what they wanna be
Some people see what they wanna see
Everyday needs some kind of dream
But the complexities of life escape to an ideal scene, yeah
People try to tell you how to live your life
Let the blind lead the blind
Well, thats all right
So make up your mind
The fool or the wise
There are things in this life
Which you cant compromise
Break away
And take the time to know your mind
And leave it all behind you
And say
Thats the way I am
Yeah - I was born this way
Cant you see it in my eyes
Yeah, heah, heah
Oh, I was born this way
Cant you feel it in your heart
Yeah, heah, heah, oh
Its not always easy to disagree
Dont make excuses for what you see
Theres one thing in life
I have no doubt
Youre on the way up
On the way out, baby, oh
Some people see whats gonna be
But they hide in a corner
From reality
Sometimes youre up
And sometimes youre down
You cant spend your whole life
Just fooling around
Break away
And take the time to break the ties
And leave it all behind you and say
Thats the way I am
Yeah - I was born this way
Cant you see it in my eyes
Yeah, heah, heah
Oh, I was born this way
Cant you feel it in your heart and say
Yeah, heah, heah, oh
In this world
Theres a love thats unspoken
Letting go
Reaching out
Then its time to search your heart
And stop, its you
Learn to love yourself
Respect yourself
Say - thats the way I am
Say, I was born this way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah - I was born this way
Cant you see it in my eyes?
Yeah, heah, heah
Oh, I was born this way
Cant you feel it in your hearts and say
Yeah, heah, heah, oh
The fool or the wise
So open your eyes
And say yeah, heah, heah
Yeah - say it loud and clear
And say yeah, heah, heah
I was born this way, oh, oh, oh
Say yeah, heah, heah
I was born this way
Born this way
So say, so say, yeah
I said yeah

The River Of Bees

In a dream I returned to the river of bees
Five orange trees by the bridge and
Beside two mills my house
Into whose courtyard a blind man followed
The goats and stood singing
Of what was older

Soon it will be fifteen years

He was old he will have fallen into his eyes

I took my eyes
A long way to the calenders
Room after room asking how shall I live

One of the ends is made of streets
One man processions carry through it
Empty bottles their
Images of hope
It was offered to me by name

Once once and once
In the same city I was born
Asking what shall I say

He will have fallen into his mouth
Men think they are better than grass

I return to his voice rising like a forkful of hay

He was old he is not real nothing is real
Nor the noise of death drawing water

We are the echo of the future

On the door it says what to do to survive
But we were not born to survive
Only to live

Panorama

walking down an alley
deep in blue neon
a dead end for today
under skyways worn
concrete from far below
rising up above
surrounded by shadows
garden without gods
all are strangers alike
all riding the blind
the purple of blind
the purple of their eyes
in reverie unwind
circling sub-city
a rainbow appears
to calm down the fury
to calm all the fears
this random occurance
is only a sign
of the incoherence
in the clockwork mind
a symphony of our time
recalling the past
people in a decline
denying the vibrations we're made of
somber drama
rolling down hill
panorama
all is so still
anyway, anyhow
anyhow, anyway
end of all reason
is what I go through
yes, it is what I go through
slip-sliding nation
is what they must do
yes, it is what they must do
over the greying landscape
under a deadened sky
sitting on a mountain
I will stand aside
as I am a witness
I turn a blind eye
I am feeling helpless
but it passes by
is this a modern legend?
maybe a fairy tale
just a future requiem
cutting along the fiction that we're
made of

Revelation

Worms had gnawed holes into leave upon leave
of my vegetables
and to me the vegetable garden was totally ruined
but about the intruders I wanted to know more.

I considered wiping them out,
to find a way to come to the rescue,
but to a new realization I did come
when the beauty of butterflies astounded me

where they were appearing from cocoon upon cocoon
with gauze-thin wings that were spreading out
and suddenly my aversion had ended
when I got a glimpse at the wonder of new life

and my attention was drawn
on a creature spreading its wings in flight.

Fallen Angel

I have fallen from sky,
Fallen to the ground,
I am the angel of sadness,
Angel of lost hopes,
Angel of lost dreams,
I am the fallen angel,
Fear me not,
I am here for reason,
That reason is to have a second chance in life,
That life I was given for a reason,
They took my wings,
They took me apart made me human,
I was the fallen angel,
But that fallen angel had one chance in life that she was given,
This angel won’t make the same mistakes she made before,
This angel will go down the right path that has been chosen for her,
This fallen angel know what she has to do to be forgiven.

Fallen Angel

If youve never had no one
Take the word of a fallen angel
If you never been no where
Take the word of a fallen angel
If youve ever been lonely
Take the word of a fallen angel
You know youre not the first to fall
And you know you wont be the last
In flight, you never think you can
Can be the one whos gonna crash.
When you think you cant go on
Look around for a fallen angel
When you feel youre the lost one
Look around for a fallen angel
When youre hurtin for someone
Look around for a fallen angel
You know youre not the first to fall
And you know you wont be the last
In flight, you never think you can
Can be the one whos gonna crash
Dont you think its time to show
Dont you think its time we know
Whats in your heart
Theres a lesson to be learned
Take the word of a fallen angel
Theres a song for every heart
Take the word of a fallen angel
When you find out where you are
Dont you know youre a fallen angel
If youve never had no one.

Impression - Le Reveillon

The sky is laced with fitful red,
The circling mists and shadows flee,
The dawn is rising from the sea,
Like a white lady from her bed.

And jagged brazen arrows fall
Athwart the feathers of the night,
And a long wave of yellow light
Breaks silently on tower and hall,

And spreading wide across the wold
Wakes into flight some fluttering bird,
And all the chestnut tops are stirred,
And all the branches streaked with gold.

Ever Fallen In Love

You spurn my natural emotions
You make me feel I'm dirt and I'm hurt.
And if I cause a commotion I'll only end up losing
and that's worse.
Ever fallen in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
in love with someone
Ever fallen in love
in love with someone
You shouldn't have fallen in love with.
I can't see much of the future
unless we find out what
just what's to blame.
And we won't be together much longer
Unless we realize that we're all the same.
That's what I'm saying!
Ever fallen in love with someone
. . .
You spurn my natural emotions
. . .
Ever fallen in love with someone
. . .
Did you ever fall in love? Did you ever fall in love?
Did you ever
did you ever
did you ever?
Did you ever fall in love? Did you ever fall in love?
Did you ever
did you ever
did you ever

Been A Son

She should have stayed away from friends
She should have had more time to spend
She should have died when she was born
She should have worn the crown of thorns
She should have been a son
She should have been a son
She should have been a son
She should have been a son
She should have stood out in the crowd
She should have made her mother proud
She should have fallen on her stance
She should have had another chance
She should have been a son
She should have been a son
She should have been a son
She should have been a son

Many People Hate To Make A Ripple

Not many people beating on their own drum.
Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.
Not many people making music they hum.
Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Cause many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Clinging on a moan and a whine all the time.
Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Complaining to their neighbors and their neighbors don't mind.
Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Cause many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Not many people beating on their own drum.
Bumma dum bum.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Cause many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Cause many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hesitate with wishes to procrastinate.
Many people hate to make a ripple.

Bumma dum bum.
Bumma dum bum.

Many people hate to make a ripple.

The Growth of Lorraine

I

While I stood listening, discreetly dumb,
Lorraine was having the last word with me:
“I know,” she said, “I know it, but you see
Some creatures are born fortunate, and some
Are born to be found out and overcome,—
Born to be slaves, to let the rest go free;
And if I’m one of them (and I must be)
You may as well forget me and go home.

“You tell me not to say these things, I know,
But I should never try to be content:
I’ve gone too far; the life would be too slow.
Some could have done it—some girls have the stuff;
But I can’t do it: I don’t know enough.
I’m going to the devil.”—And she went.

II

I did not half believe her when she said
That I should never hear from her again;
Nor when I found a letter from Lorraine,
Was I surprised or grieved at what I read:
“Dear friend, when you find this, I shall be dead.
You are too far away to make me stop.
They say that one drop—think of it, one drop!—
Will be enough,—but I’ll take five instead.

“You do not frown because I call you friend,
For I would have you glad that I still keep
Your memory, and even at the end—
Impenitent, sick, shattered—cannot curse
The love that flings, for better or for worse,
This worn-out, cast-out flesh of mine to sleep.”

Beyond The Sunrise

Our reality is found
beyond the sunrise
of our dreams
where we take hold
of our future
and mould it to our needs.
Creating the life, we want
and not the life we have,
spreading our wings
into the world within our reach
and changing our reality
to suit our dreams.
Our mind has the power
to make our dreams
come to pass
and beyond the sunrise
is where we must go
to make them last.

Gannets

I've never once seen them on land though from the shore I see
Them with folded wings from dizzy heights diving into the sea
And then they rise out of the waves and upwards again fly
These hunters of the ocean who stalk their prey from the sky.

To watch gannets fishing is an amazing sight
They fly above the ocean and dive from a great height
I once see one dead on a beach it was washed in by the tide
Born on a cliff ledge overlooking the sea and out at sea it died.

The gannets are true fishing birds on humans for food they don't rely
They roost and breed on remote ocean cliffs and of human kind are shy
They are birds I don't often see they are seldom close to the shore
Though I recall I once watched them fish for a half an hour or more.

True ocean birds born by the sea and out at sea they die
With folded wings they dive for fish like rockets from the sky
A guttural noise the only sound they make they do not have a song
They take their living from the sea and to the sea they belong.

Mother

They left you where you had fallen
against your pane
like a sparrow deceived in flight
with your delicate frail wings
folded limply to your side
your eyes closed to the world
I felt anger rise
at the feckless efforts
to protect you
from the inmates
the simple monsters
shuffling the halls in drugged trances
into each others rooms
to pilfer cigarettes or money, or
a grope of your gaunt flesh
I stood at the foot of your bed
staring down at you for the last time
crying through my shame
through my lucid realization
of abandonment
I vindicate myself now
with these failing words
imagining your soft quivering voice
at the foot of my bed
forgiving me for living
with less pain.

Fallen Angel

Written by dennis deyoung
Lead vocals by dennis deyoung
Hell nobodys perfect
One hundred percent
No saint, no pope, no king no queen
No president
But our hunger for heroes
Has made us blind
We seek salvation
From the cup of human kind
But every time we hear the voice
Of some new abraham
We wake too late to realize
It was just another scam
Fallen angel, fallen angel
Well I guess you were no angel after all
Fallen angel, fallen angel
You always take us with you when you fall
I said nobodys perfect
From head to toe
Not einstein or elvis or lenin or marx
Or marilyn monroe
Cause its mostly illusion
In flesh and bone
An image, a look, a song or a book
That we all claim for our own
But even in the best of us
There lies beneath the skin
The tragic flaw in natures law
Thats bound to do us in
Fallen angel, fallen angel
Well I guess you were no angel after all
Fallen angel, fallen angel
You always take us with you when you fall
Pretty faces up on the silver screen
Flawless bodies on covers of magazines
They all look perfect to us
So rich and cool and bored
But hold the presses boys
Theyve checked into betty ford
Turns out nobodys perfect
From a to z
Its best to follow your heart
Then to follow me
Cause Im only a singer
Playin a song
And Ive just been making it up
As I went along
See I met a man who told me once
Sinceritys the key
And once you learn to fake it
Son youre gonna be home free
Fallen angel, fallen angel
Well I guess you were no angel after all
Fallen angel, fallen angel
You always take us with you when you fall

Aquarium Fish

MOULD-COLOURED like the leaf long fallen from
The autumn branch, he rises now, the Fish.
The cold eyes of the gannets see their rock:
He has No-whither. Who was it marked
Earth from the waters? Who
Divided space into such lines for us,
Giving men To and Fro, not Up and Down?
This dweller in the ancient element
Knows Space's cross-road. Who
Closed up the Depth to us? He rises now
Mould-coloured like the leaf long fallen from
The autumn branch, with eyes that are like lamps
Magicians fill with oils from dead men ta'en,
Most rootless of all beings, the Fish.
