I wish the numbers could break even
there would much more to put
to the days months and years
perhaps today I buried the axes
fighting with time

Have I said enough?
Nothing more to reflect and nothing more to say,
Enough and no more; did I cover it all completely?
Days may roll over into months, and months into years,
Impervious yet, never the need to say anything more on this...
Alas! Everything doesn’t happen at once; else, what could Time mean to any one,
An instalment in reality is what we get through in each instance of Time and no more,
As of today, what I know is what I assume; and that undoubtedly will mature some more tomorrow,
Today, I had hoped to have said enough to seal my lips forever; but will my retirement stick through?

The Day My Heart Died
In matters of love
Time moves swiftly
Days turn into months
Months into years
Years into a lifetime
Alas, love dies unfulfilled
That day has arrived
Uninvited
Unwelcome
Unannounced
Today my heart died

Days Glide
Days glided away from the seats of pleasure,
The quick spirit was mastered by the face;
Havoc of months and years persuaded me
To see the arrangements, and the several libraries
Of thoughts and endeavours.
I guessed of resemblances and letters,
Numbers pursued the words and words succumbed,
Each moment passed its time,
Months were old periods and designed to elate
The believers who repented for illnesses.

Forever
it's been days and months
it'll be years...forever
no one leaves unless they're left
the abandoned don't like
emptiness they stay with
filled with days and months
days and months and years
forever

I Have Now Won This Lotto
Today i have got the six numbers you've been waiting for!
Yes, for the past five years with hope.
Your name is love and i am called wonderful,
And it has taken me all these years to understand your muse;
But these numbers had been on your dreams since time immemorial,
And i have now won this lotto.

These Are The Days
Ah ah
Heres a song
About living in the past
If it was so good then
How come it didnt last?
If it helps you
Ill put it in a phrase
Those were the times
But these are the days
These are the days
These are the days
These are the days
These are the days
These are the days
The times youre smiling back on
Had that great sitcom
It hardly compensated
For the terror of the bomb
Let me help
cause youre looking through a haze
Those were the times
These are the days
These are the days
Hey hey hey
These are the days
Can you hear me now?
These are the days
Look around look around look around
These are the days
These are the days
Hey hey live today
These are the days
Its time to put the past away
These are the days
The more you do the more you say
These are the days
The more I need to get away
Youre longing for a time
There never was
Now tell me the truth
Youre looking for the reason
Its because
Youre fighting for youth
But if I have to listen any more
To fantasy talk
Or any other bug you have
Im leaving
Now Im not saying
Everything is really great
Hey hey hey
After sixteen years
Of legalised class hate
Why waste time
Looking back for things to praise?
Those were the times huh
But these are the days
These are the days
Looking back in history
These are the days
Time to get contempory
These are the days
The past is not the place to be

Forever—it composed of Nows
624
Forever—it composed of Nows—
'Tis not a different time—
Except for Infiniteness—
And Latitude of Home—
From this—experienced Here—
Remove the Dates—to These—
Let Months dissolve in further Months—
And Years—exhale in Years—
Without Debate—or Pause—
Or Celebrated Days—
No different Our Years would be
From Anno Domini's—

I Saw A Child Four Months Old Today
I SAW A CHILD FOUR MONTHS OLD TODAY
I saw a child four months old today
And was brought back to a most happy time in my life
When my children were very young-
Who could have believed this blessing would come again
And this small grandchild would make me feel
As I have not felt in years
That life itself is an incredible joy beyond any I ever could have expected

My Father Buried My Sister........Today
My father buried my sister today
My soul burns red with pain
No longer will I touch her face
Or caress her skin again
My father buried my sister today
God, what have I done wrong
To have her stolen from my arms
When my faith in you was strong
My father buried my sister today
Thank God I have another
I couldn't walk this path alone
Every breath is a struggle
My father buried my sister today
She was just 20
Searing, ripping, tearing ache
My emotions overcome me
To God above, how I pray
These words by her not repeated
My father buried my daughter today

A terse poem on numbers
Numbers are everywhere
twenty four hours in a day
seven days in one week
thirty one in the month of May.
A number on your front door
and on houses down your road
numbers on your credit card
and also of your postal code.
Numbers called out at Bingo
two fat ladies are number eight
and if your numbers come up
you'll go home feeling great.
Would you like a cup of tea?
one or two sugars in your cup?
sorry but I have to go now
that's the end time is up!

ageneration full of courage

people of the world unite
strength in numbers we can get it right(sing it)

no struggle no progress
lend a hand to help
your brother do his best

A Poem that Played with Me!
We played and played
Hours days months years
You went your way
And I went my way
Then began a game
Of hide and seek
Tired I pushed the door
There you're hiding...
Tired I dropped to the floor
There you're under the cot
Did you go your way?
Did I go my way?
We still play and play
Hours days months years
You didn't really go anywhere
Nor did I go my way!

For Far Too Many Days, Months and Years
The only point that you can make...
That can be proven,
Is a disappearance made.
And you can save any excuses,
You would like to waste time to make...
To use on someone else.
Any shallow steps you wish to correct,
That had in the past been done...
Have been placed.
And if you did not know what you were doing then...
Today will not make the difference.
For far too many days, months and years,
With my tears flowing for hours...
You have accused me for not understanding.
Well...
Today I do!
And it is clear you and I are through.
I'm not here to rehash and trash the past.
That 'fact' does not need another re-enactment.
Backward movements I'm not taking.
And that merry-go-round has stopped.
You're the only one wishing to ride it!

June And July
June and July are right in the middle
Of a time that is a period to learn.
The months of our summer in this land
I call England,
Are like these months.
The other months work for these ones,
And those ones that are not these two months
Still believe in the sun and moon and planets.
They trust the stars, walk in the mind
And state our successes, in all our graveness.
The grave has no month, but lives in years
To manage the time in heaven.
For some June is like July,
But I think what they look is what they are.

A Poem in Maths
Count your blessings, God-given;
Add them one by one, each day;
Subtract your pessimism;
Divide time for all your works;
Multiply your joys in life;
Get success in earthly stay,
By praying to the Lord.
Numbers are infinitesimal;
Numbers are so magical;
Numbers can have decimal;
Numbers rule the modern world.
Numbers are abstract / real;
Numbers can amuse us all;
Numbers are the ‘bricks’ of Maths!
Numberless, world is dismal.
They can count your hair, these days;
They can count the stars, some ways;
Man’s progression in Maths is base,
For putting man on Moon, or Mars?
Numbers make computers work;
Hypotheses form the science;
Integers are wonders too;
A genius in mathematics
Is a MATHEMAGICIAN!

Days Are Numbers
Chris rainbow - lead vocals
The traveller is always leaving town
He never has the time to turn around
And if the road hes taken isnt leading anywhere
He seems to be completely unaware
The traveller is always leaving home
The only kind of life hes ever known
When every moment seems to be
A race against the time
Theres always one more mountain left to climb
Days are numbers
Watch the stars
We can only see so far
Someday, youll know where you are
Remember
Days are numbers
Count the stars
We can only go so far
One day, youll know where you are
The traveller awaits the morning tide
He doesnt know whats on the other side
But something deep inside of him
Keeps telling him to go
He hasnt found a reason to say no
The traveller is only passing through
He cannot understand your point of view
Abandoning reality, unsure of what hell find
The traveller in me is close behind
Days are numbers
Watch the stars
We can only see so far
Someday, youll know where you are
Remember
Days are numbers
Count the stars
We can only go so far
One day, youll know where you are

yesterday as it once was, makes way for tomorrow, but where did today go, as it slips away into the eternal absence we call life, as it once was today, now 3 days from now, life twist and turns with this shallow time called life, yet so fast to not remember tomorrow, time flys by so fast, yet still young and alone, thinking about 5 years ago, while that is today, and yesterday was 15 years ago, just to look back in a memory of today.

The Wait
I stand
As the time fies by
With the ticking of the clock
Sounding large by the dock
Moments turning into seconds
And
Seconds running into
days, months, years.
Alone I wait
In this harbour
For arrival of
Only god knows
Who, what, why?
I think my heart would understand
My mind need not try.
Anxiously I watch
As each cargo is dismantled
Searching
Only god knows
Who, what, why?
I think my soul would recognize
My eyes are too shy.
Silently I witness
As each ship pulls out anchor
Slowly disappearing from eye.
And
I wait
As the time flies by
With the ticking of the clock
Sounding large by the dock
Moments turning into seconds
And
Seconds running into
days, months, years.

My Younger Days/ Part II
Indeed time is a factor.
Years, Months, Weeks, Days, Hours and Seconds.
Before our eyes we learn about life.
A boat with no ocean is still a boat.
Time without meaning is still a life.
We have to answer for it all.
Yet, we still marvel at what could have been.
What should have been.
And what remains to be seen.
Misfortune will sometimes take a break.
Guidance, Understanding, Compassion and Love.
These are things that are never truely pondered.
It wasn't apart of alot of our childhoods.
But yet, it was....just never expressed enough.
So we grow, change and sometimes stay the same.
Looking for answers from others around.
Guided by fate and cards we are dealt.
Choices we make, good or bad, are still choices.
Not a sob story, O'Boo Woo, cry for me.
Just another American kid thrown in the mix.
I'm older and have retirement for now, for now.
My younger days, I could have been anything.
Anything............................ ..................................

Months Of Long Duration
All those phantom months
months of long days passing
day after hard working day
during all that time
day after weary day
day after endless day
during all that time
no word from you
no support from you
days you would spend
ten twelve hour days
playing computer games
day after day after day
level after level after level
in each favourite game
this is your chosen world
your world where you compete
your world you do not share
in all that playing time
in all those endless days
no time could you spare
not even thirty minutes
not even once not once
to support a true friend
