The Pleiades
LAST night I saw the Pleiades again,
Faint as a drift of steam
From some tall chimney-stack;
And I remembered you as you were then:
Awoke dead worlds of dream,
And Time turned slowly back.
I saw the Pleiades through branches bare,
And close to mine your face
Soft glowing in the dark;
For Youth and Hope and Love and You were there

At A Time I Did Truly Love (Sextilla / Sestet)
At a time I did truly love,
as if it comes from God above
with something in every kiss,
something that I cannot explain,
and I longed for you again,
longed for happiness and bliss.
Memory brought me to this place
to your words, to your smiling face
the kisses from your glowing lips
and all of this comes back to me
as if I can once again be
between your loving tender hips
but life cannot be as before,
time we cannot turn back, once more
and sometimes we do love in vain
and although we know to forgive
the words, all that I then did give,
brought nothing to me but sheer pain
and time now does move somewhat on,
years and some feelings are now gone
and at a time love meant something,
to some it stays through a lifespan

My Three Wishes
I wish I wish I wish
we wish on our birth day
we wish when we brake the wish bone on thanksgiving day
we wish when we see a shooting star
that's when I feel like I can talk to you
when I'm under a blanket of stars shining so brightly along with the moon
that has your face lightly sketched on the side facing me
it's almost as if your watching over me
I wish I wish I wish
all my wishes would have to do with the need to hear your voice
saying I love you Becky-Becky Ann
and I love you Ethan boy
the need to see your face
smiling sweetly and comforting me to a deeper level
that takes all the stress
and all my worries away and locks them away
for that moment in time they all explode from my body
to feel the last minute hugs and kisses
that I hated all so much when I was little
but strive for today
I miss you so much
I would give anything to see you
for one more day but yet again I wouldn't

Can't You Remember?
How often have you heard me cry?
How often have you not asked why
the tears are flowing down my face?
Maybe it's guilt you can't erase.
The lack of caring has gotten to me.
And all of those tears have got to be
drying me up inside.
We started out with so much to do.
There was never a time when tears would flow
because you always seemed to know
how to keep our love alive,
how to make our love just thrive,
making me feel like a bride.
We raised our kids and moved along
helping each other when things went wrong.
And eventually we got through it all.
When the kids moved out I recall
that what we had moved out too.
Now it was just me and you,
trying to hide our pride.
I know we can't turn back the clock.
You know I still love you. You're my rock.
And so my tears are flowing again
'cause I can still remember when
all that we had was just we two
sharing a love that was brand new
when no feelings would we hide.
But somewhere in the back of my mind
I have the feeling we still might find
what it was we had back then
and maybe we can bring it back again.
If we can't and it's all gone
I know that I will have to move on
and turn a brand new tide.

We only can miss what was once in existence

Here I go again,
I see myself falling for you.

An Attempt To Understand God
you have seen God
