Summer Night
The air is soft only the way it can be
in the citified fumes of summer downtown
The grays and dull orange and lemmon peel skies
cling heavy to the ridges and all my sighs
The way lighted lamps cause warm shadow figures
to dance, ah just a cat and moth
And grumbling four tired vehicles sash away around
the corner restoring 'Concerto de Emtomology'playing
every night as first showing all summer
The air is warm, but soft, soft and.warm with dampnesd
to my collar. There is a lone srar, flickering, maybe a planet
Hard to be for certain for smog lays heavy in the heat.
Just one star, billions waiting back, holding onto the
darkened shroud we so ineptly call eternity. So this it it
With everything cascading down into this one point.
My existence only as far as I can see, sunset, street lamp light,
a cat, moth, tires, and a choir of cacadas and crickets
and one lonely star.
Maybe it's not the bigger picture outside but the smaller
thumbnail print inside
I will never reach out and touch eternity. It's too far and too
big...just too much.
But I can reach in and touch what is important in me.
I can effect it as it affects me

Warm Ride
Come to me baby, I got something to say
I been changin your direction evry step of the way
Now I bring emotion and I bring desire
And I bring the potion to set you on fire
I know you need me, there can be no doubt
You got me held inside your love and I cant get out
We must surrender to the powers that be
The angel in you and the devil in me
Warm ride , warm ride , baby just the way you are
Warm ride , warm ride , we can reach the highest star
Now I warn you women, we are two of a kind
And we both know whats coming
We got one thing in mind
I bring the pleasure , satisfaction you learn
And I got the strength to make you burn, baby, burn
Warm ride , warm ride , baby just the way you are
Warm ride , warm ride , we can reach the highest star
Why are we waiting for this love on the rise
And why am I searching for the magic thats in your eyes
We must surrender to the powers that be
The angel in you and the devil in me
Warm ride, warm ride , baby just the way you are
Warm ride, warm ride , we can reach the highest star
(break)
Warm ride , warm ride , baby just the way you are
Warm ride , warm ride , we can reach the highest star
Warm ride ( fade out)

Sunrise Gone
Night 's goes from there to here as gentle winds blow north to south flowing west to east the moon bright and full and as bright like a fire but not as warm one star two stars one million stars later flickering away into the night sky existence meaninful to meaningless as a heart bearts heavy and true one second until eternity counting back and forth until first light there goes night hello morning days anew this heart beats slow soft just like a old clock second after second like minutes that turn to hours these seconds that takes away in this beautiful things called life as sacred as your next breath in is reality this existence likes seasons and death birth life flows once more night comes again and darkness covers everything like a blanket one millions stars shimmer back into the picture sparkling away but then night goes fromhere to there back to there and a brand new cycles start all over again......nuff said! !

Mother Song
_From the Portuguese._
HEAVY my heart is, heavy to carry,
Full of soft foldings, of downy enwrapments--
And the outer fold of all is love,
And the next soft fold is love,
And the next, finer and softer, is love again;
And were they unwound before the eyes
More folds and more folds and more folds would unroll
Of love--always love,
And, quite at the last,
Deep in the nest, in the soft-packed nest,
One last fold, turned back, would disclose
You, little heart of my heart,
Laid there so warm, so soft, so soft,
Not knowing where you lie, nor how softly,
Nor why your nest is so soft,
Nor how your nest is so warm.
You, little heart of my heart,
You lie in my heart,
Warm, safe and soft as this body of yours,
This dear kissed body of yours that lies
Here in my arms and sucks the strength from my breast,
The strength you will break my heart with one of these days.

A Warm Summer Breeze
The trees whisper in the breeze
The forest peaceful, quiet, and serene.
The warm breeze like a soft caress,
Momentarily eliminating all stress.
Without delay it carries on
Leaving the place in silence when it's gone.
A summer day, a summer breeze,
Softly whispered through the trees.
The summer breeze, softly it comes,
Quickly it leaves,
Causing soft whispers in the trees.
It came and soon left, a warm summer breeze.

In The Warm Room
In the warm room
Her perfume reaches you.
Eventually youll fall for her.
Down youll go
To where the mellow wallows.
In the warm room
Shell touch you with your mammas hand.
Youll long to kiss those red lips,
But when you do
Itll feel like kicking a habit.
Shell tell you that shell stay,
So youd better barricade the way out.
Shell tell you shes true.
Shell tell you she loves you.
Shes waiting in that warm room.
In the warm room
She prepares to go to bed.
Shell let you watch her undress,
Go places where
Your fingers long to linger.
In the warm room
Youll fall into her like a pillow.
Her thighs are soft as marshmallows.
Say hello
To the soft musk of her hollows.
Shell tell you that shell stay,
So youd better barricade the way out.
Shell tell you shes true.
Shell tell you she loves you.
Shes waiting in that warm room.
In the warm room.
Shes waiting in that warm room.

Oh Yeah
Oh Yeah she was taking me over
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer
On warm June evenings
She would come to my house
Still in her school skirt
And her summer blouse
Talking too long as the night came on
It was the best time of my life
Her bee stung lips
Kisses sweeter than wine
The things she whispered
With breathless sighs
The summer air was soft and warm
Her eyes were making silent demands
As her hair came undone in my hands
Oh Yeah she was taking me over
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer
Driving her home after midnight
I felt so good everything was alright
Her thoughts seemed so lost in the night sky
I remember everything
I don't know why these things ever send
I sometimes wish it was that summer again
I still see her in my sleep
And hear the sighing of the summer wind
Still I don't regret one thing
Oh Yeah she was taking me over
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer
Oh Yeah she was taking me over
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer
It felt just like it was the start of forever
Oh Yeah it was the start of the summer

Summer makes it so
when carousels spin happily
children’s faces shine bright with joy
calliope notes keep the time
and painted horses rise and fall
summer makes it so
see lovers gently holding hands
fingers eagerly entwining
whispers sweet spoken from soft lips
with enamored blushes shining
summer makes it so
cotton candy fluffs up so high
cold lemonade in paper cups
sipping slowly between each sigh
there are no limits on the day
summer makes it so
sunset breezes prepare the night
crickets begin their chirping calls
and street lamps one by one alight
while wending our way on toward home
where did summer go?

We stare
How far
How clear
Now touch
Touch here
Now warm
Now near
Now near
Within
With you
With love

How sweet
How filled

Now touch
How sweet

How filled
Now time
Times still
Im still
Tonight

We stare
How far

I stand in the hallway
She stands in the hall
I stand at the doorway
She stands at the door
I lean in the window
She leans on the wind
I wait for beginnings
She waits for the end

Dog & Butterfly
There I was with the old man
Stranded again so off Id ran
A young world crashing around me
No possibilities of getting what I need
He looked at me and smiled
Said no, no, no, no, no child.
See the dog and butterfly. up in the
Air he like to fly. dog and butterfly
Below she had to try. she roll back down
To the warm soft ground laughing
She dont know why, she dont know why
Dog and butterfly
Well I stumbled upon your secret place
Safe in the trees you had tears on your face
Wrestling with your desires frozen strangers
Stealing your fires. the message hit my mind
Only words that I could find
See the dog and butterfly
Up in the air he like to fly
Dog and butterfly below she had to try
She roll back down to the warm soft ground
Laughing to the sky, up to the sky
Dog and butterfly
Were getting older the worlds getting colder
For the life of me I dont know the reason why
Maybe its livin making us give in
Hearts rolling in taken back on the tide
Were balanced together ocean upon the sky
Another night in this strange town
Moonlight holding me light as down
Voice of confusion inside of me
No begging to go back where Im free
Feels like Im through
Then the old mans words are true
See the dog and butterfly
Up in the air he like to fly
Dog and butterfly, below she had to try
She roll back down to the warm soft
Ground with a little tear in her eye
She had to try, she had to try
Dog and butterfly

Dance of the Season
The sun is like us in the dance of the season:
Summer, it lives within the body, mind and pleasure;
Brilliant summer and before it spring,
A wonderful creative work form God,
The one who made us hearing the heat,
And seeing the stars in the night.
The moon must pass as a hot star,
A very shadow of another moon,
Like an enchanting deathly object too hard to the touch.
We bring all this light to our eyes.

Summer Light...
Summer Light -Thru the Trees
Summer Light - Spotted Me
Summer Light - Palest Gold
Summer Light - Bright and Bold
I Saw Summer Light Descend
Summer Light, Made Shadows Bend
Summer Light, On An Emerald Pond
I Reached Out… It Touched My Palm
Summer Light, It Fell Like Powder
Or a Floating Incandescent Feather
Came Down, Like A Sheer, White Swan
Summer Light – Lifted Wing-Like Arms
So Sunrays Slanted – Shone-Misty
Summer Light-Beams, Embraced Me
Warm, Wonderful Summer Light
Touch Me Tender, Solar- Might
Summer Light, When I Was Lost
Summer Light, Found Me Before Frost
Summer Light - None Else Looked For Me…
Summer Light Said, “I Always See…”
I Love Summer Light

A summer love
A warm summer's night
nestled cozy in your arms
rocking back and forth
from a wooden swing
hung by an oak tree
we sit
nothing but silence
just lingering thoughts
rafting in the summer's breeze
floating toward stars bright
the feel of your touch
warm breath against my neck
makes my heart beat rapidly
as i lay my head upon your shoulder
and your arm wrapped around me
sweet tender lips full of smiles
speaks of our love so pure and true
when you lay them upon mine
no words are needed
for our love is already known
the look in your eyes
tells all
on this warm summer's night
a summer love is all that remains.

Ebb Tide
it is late now
very late dusk's
darkness has
already fallen
dark rimmed sunset
disappear last glow
dissipate be gone
fade away
this night is silk warm
flesh is sun kiss warm
breeze soft caress warm
waves wash out
footprints softly splash
suck in sink sand
feet grow cool
sunken treasure sands
slowly shape mould
harmonic planes
miniature waves wisps
whisper gliding in
shallows on seabreeze
washing out ripples
migrating miniature waves
single summer’s seascape
sifting sands
blown skip briskly
sting the windward
inward spirit eye
the night is warm
flesh is warm
breeze is warm
soul is warm

Summer Dream
As I sleep under the summer sun I dream of a maiden of beauty
I see the wind in her hair like that of wind moving the summer grass in a field
I see her eyes that sparkle like that of sun gleaming off the lake on a summer day
I see her warm face like that of a summer white rose, soft and beautiful to the touch
I see her lips sweet and red like the berries on the summer vine
Then as I wake I see your beautiful face and know you are my dream

An Ordinary Summer Evening
On a temperate summer evening
am walking lonely under the vast horizon.
Hither and thither patches of clouds,
creating shapes like dwarfs and elves.
Soothing, gentle breeze flowing
breeze so soft as a new-born baby
kissing bare feet, wrist and palm.
Crows are taking homewards flight: a warm retreat,
the day must have be an auspicious one.
Clouds are now evenly spread-
not a trace of single break-
covered with azure tints and shades.
Tip-toe, tip-toe rain drizzles
a merry rain: rain that brings loss to none
Oh rain! Oh breeze!
Do touch my soul
Do touch my heart
The weather there is cold and numb
Winter there is not yet gone
Make the weather inside warm
Weather is not what you see outside
It is what you feel inside
Your Eyes
Soft is the wind
that blows through your hair.
Warm is the love,
we both share.
Bright as the sun,
way up above,
is the light in your eyes
when you’re in love.
Your hair is soft,
as first falling snow.
Your love is warm,
and will never let me go.
Your touch is gentle,
like a baby’s skin,
and when we argue,
I usually let you win.
Green as the sea,
are your eyes,
with an innocent stare,
that we can both share.

Dreams
some words for you to hum along
the sound so sweet and soft to sing
the soul of dear, may wandering through
the sandal world of silent woods,
not listening to summer breeze
staring at blue old sky of us
never ask this wind to sing
I wonder what they're thinking of
just thinking of, passing of our life
still looking for thy long lost love
I will ask the moon above to say
to bring you love, a night and a day
and a touch so sweet and a true warm
fun, I wish so warm again...

Gentle Sigh
There is a gentle sigh
as a warm summer evening calls
and lovers slip away
to their hideaways.
The stars twinkle bright
playing peek-a-boo with the moon
and not a stirring word is heard,
except the gentle sigh
that inherits the breeze
that faintly rustles the leaves
on a warm summer evening
just before darkness calls.
The world sings a hushaby melody
to children tucked in their bed
waiting for the sandman to call
and for a few minutes,
everything is still
listening to the gentle sigh
when warm summer evenings call.

Old Oak
In the shadow of solitude now I see Your eyes,
that so faithfully carry about the light
through my thoughts so dark,
and the pen trembles in the hand,
waiting for the prodigal son's acknowledgement.
My one and only, acknowledgements arrive in solitude's embrace,
just like tears, and where there is a tear, there is love,
always faithful and unbribable, invisible but so real
that you can touch it with thoughts
and with the fiery breath in the infinity of solitude.
I admit to using my verses as ransom for my guilt,
(and guilt is my silence) ,
and I listen to the rumor
that perpetually, like a bat,
whirls across the lonely poet's street.
They say that me and You,
my one and only,
are fantasy, but a pen immersed in ink.
But You know, don't You,
that me and You are perfectly real, full of wishes,
dreams and memories.
My one and only, I am listening to the whisper of the wind
in this warm, dreamy summer night...
It is silent, horribly silent without You,
and the wind's whisper is dying down, farther away, oh so far,
as if called by death to its black hearse,
and I have waited for so many days, months and years to appear,
to bring Your voice to me,
gentle, soft, warm and yearning,
but it is so silent, oh so silent now,
that I can hear the screams of solitude
chase away memories
into this warm summer night,
my one and only, I am standing in the shadow of the dignified oak,
and I am looking into his empty sleepiness,
as if its playfulness left along with You,
it is silent like the wind.
Its dear, green, eternally waking young leaves,
who used to whisper in Your vicinity, untrammeled and confidential,
are completely silent now, completely dead.
Now I am trembling in the shadow of our oak,
fearfully looking at it as it drags its dignified old face along the ground,
its memories are as lively as mine.
Once, yes, once the memories,
who live so inaudibly,
shall become so weak,
so humanly weak,
that they shall find their dark home
next to our wooden crosses.

The Splendor Of The Days
Sweet and shrill the crickets hiding in the grasses brown and lean
Pipe their gladness-sweeter, shriller-one would think the world was green.
O the haze is on the hilltops, and the haze is on the lake!
See it fleeing through the valley with the bold wind in its wake!
Mark the warm October haze!
Mark the splendor of the days!
And the mingling of the crimson with the sombre brown and grays!
See the bare hills turn their furrows to the shine and to the glow;
If you listen you can hear it, hear a murmur soft and low-
'We are naked,' so the fields say, 'stripped of all our golden dress.'
'Heed it not,' October answers, 'for I love ye none the less.
Share my beauty and my cheer
While we rest together here,
In these sun-filled days of languor, in these late days of the year.'
All the splendor of the summer, all the springtime's light and grace,
All the riches of the harvest, crown her head and light her face;
And the wind goes sighing, sighing, as if loath to let her pass,
While the crickets sing exultant in the lean and withered grass.
O the warm October haze!
O the splendor of the days!
O the mingling of the crimson with the sombre brown and grays!
