Not all is as it once upon was
Not all highs come with a resounding buzz
For every forever you can be sure there's none
Love's twisting dagger a kiss and you're done
On the doorstep which way do you go
In or out, it doesn't matter anymore
Truth is a ghost, allusive at best
To find it, capture, is more than the test
To hold, to have, is really the rue

A hive of bees, as I've heard say,
Said to their Queen one sultry day,
"Please your Majesty's high position,

Up spake their Queen and thus spake she -
