All the Answers Why

Only the answers why
As I gaze at an evening crescent

Only between the sighs
As blood flows, porous, effervescent

So it was this time due
Ripped the scars vertically

For all these feelings...you're
Taken into nothing totally

Yes in my heart I bleed
Day, tomorrow, in eternity

Falling the crescent seed
By night dark within paternity

One hundred and one stitch
Reside to mend this remake fantasy

So flies the weathered witch
Across a crescent moon above me

Second Hand moonlight ray
Second guessing all that which I gave

Will I live to see day
Silence knows but has nothing to save

A Moon Mystery!

Auspicious or not, crescent Moon is always precious to poets;
Waxing and waning Moons have different effects of superstition;
Crescent Moons good or bad are ever poets’ great inspiration!

Crescent Moon is a basket for carrying flowers of Stars in it;
Crescent Moon is the boat that travels on the ocean of Sky;
Crescent Moon is a fine jewel decorating Lord Siva’s tresses!

Waxing crescent Moon with a Star is very auspicious to Islamites;
Thus silent beauty in the Western Sky encourages worn out souls;
But the waning crescent Moon in the Eastern Sky was a fun on tour!

What a beautiful sight the waning crescent Moon in the Eastern Sky!
On a sudden bus travel in plains I happened to see this in a cold night
Making me wonder as I used to wonder at the Western crescent Moon!

Moon is still a mystery though many rockets are sent there for probes
As the dark side of the Moon is still a dark matter for millions of years!

Chemistry of Poetry

do you remember
the strange language
the sky spoke that night
as we engrossed ourselves
in each other in a corner
of the balcony to the southwest?

curious of the blabber
the crescent peeped
from nowhere

hey, let's sail
in that crescent boat
on waves of ripened
milky moonlight,
i proposed

be reasonable
isn't it incongrous
you said fondly
twitching my nose

well well...
show me the place for
reason logic science
in this exclusive chemistry
of poetry that connects
you to me,
i said smiling

a star till then lurking
and sailing behind
a patch of cloud
quickly showed up

the crescent
the star
the wind
the galaxies
stood still in
pregnant silence...

Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening....
Like crescent through the clouds...
Passing days shall make it complete and brighter...
Dark shadows shall sleep in the darkness...
Before the alter of spirituality it shall bathe in the newness of twilight...
Inseparable from the body...
If hold your chest the scars and sears of a silent night...
The roaring of thunders
Tempest in seas
Restless Cry of an infant...
Mother's spectre embracing her child's dreams
Prisoner's freedom captivated in a foreign land...
Shall speak...
For spirits of sorrow speak the pure language of love...
That abides them together till eternity in the bosom of universe...
And if you hide the imprints of silence...
Like the moon for a moonless night
And if you shall be incomplete like the crescent...
You shall be spiritual and complete too...
Radiating the light of master and calmness and serenity of death for timelessness...
And lightning up the universe (with love) , with your spirit of sorrow for eternity...

Moon Eater

At night I writhe
Over the despondent grass;
The moon impoverished,
Its entirety guzzled into a
Harlequin crescent
And I see her past one
Of the night's curtains,
Freezing, devouring
Half of the moon
But this I do not know of
For she is in the expanse.
As I lay on my bed
Corrupted and soliloquized,
Gazing at the crescent moon
Far-flung in the downtrodden azure
Thinking,
Where hath gone
The half of the moon?

Crescent Noon

Green september
Burned to october brown
Bare november
Led to decembers frozen ground
The seasons stumbled round
Our drifting lives are bound
To a falling crescent noon
Feather clouds cry
A vale of tears to earth
Morning breaks and
No one sees the quiet mountain birth
Dressed in a brand new day
The sun is on its way
To a falling crescent noon
Somewhere in
A fairytale forest lies one
Answer that is waiting to be heard
You and I were
Born like the breaking day
All our seasons
All our green septembers
Burn away
Slowly well fade into
A sea of midnight blue
And a falling crescent noon

Crescent Moon- a ride to the stars

Oh, crescent moon
come down
and give me a ride to the stars
let me see how they smile
and from the faintest to the brightest
let me give them a name.

Oh, crescent moon
come down
and give me a ride to the stars
among them
let me choose the brightest one
and together
let's play all night long.

The Gates of Innocence

Up round St John Street we walked one night, while moonlight brightly glowed,
My arm around you, yours round me, with two friends long ago.
So deep into love’s old sweet dream in moments now long flown,
And like a leaf upon the breeze my heart was not my own.

Oh the road to winning you was fraught, with quicksands all the way.
I sank and swam, I walked and ran, I wooed you night and day,
To simply hold your hand so soft, or gaze on eyes so blue,
In steep green fields at Clachanmore when I worked next to you.

But no moon nor love could quite foresee that I would wriggle free,
Against my heart, against my will, somewhat regretfully.
The roads we walked were soon to part, to sever us for ill,
To leave the Crescent we once walked, to ghosts that haunt me still.

Now the thoughts that circle round me here, they strengthen with the night.
As if the years have fallen to that young love’s breathless might,
Your eyes beguiled the doubting stars and left me void of sense,
Before the moments we fell through, the gates of innocence.

Now the moonlight shines less brightly on the lonely fields we cleared,
And St John Street is not as sweet as when I held you dear.
The friends we walked with on that night still walk together yet.
The full moon’s promise holds as true, as when we two last met.

chorus
The winds blow cold on those steep green fields
And strangers walk down St John Street
I’ve walked the crescent where love grew
Where innocence once sheltered me and you

The Moon Does Not Regret Her Winter

The moon does not regret her winter,
Or the torn strands of gray chiffon
That cover her face tonight.

As this dew shelters the dry grass like tears,
And shadows of dark leaves
Wait to wither into morning,
The moon fades,
A goddess,
Empty of desire or light.

No, the moon does not regret
This burial of love.
In the coldness of her solitude,
She will not weep tears of rust,
Or betray herself with petty despair.

The moon does not regret dust,
Or the accumulation of her years,
Or this sadness beneath salt, beneath bone.

She has her own time and place,
that which is eternal surrounds her.
When full, she is round and cold
and then she narrows, changes into perfect crescent.

You were like the moon, I never understood
the subtle ways in which you changed.
I only know that like the moon at crescent,
I, too, have lost three-quarters of myself.

A total lunar eclipse poem

total darkness on a wedding night
except the flickering candle that
plays out out his anxiety to take
a peek of the moon (bride)
the sun (father) has afforded him

he would tilt the veil to let the light
of a hundred moons shine through her face
he would look at her the way an eclipse has
cleared the path for the moon to shine
the full moon that turns into a crescent
to be shrouded in his bossom so that
it glows a warm and sweet orange

and she will peek into his face the way
the eclipse reveals the secrets of the full moon
first a crescent and then its full splendour,
a husband at last to light the way to her future days

###in the old days in China a man would only know how his wife looked
like on the wedding night and vice versa. the eclipse looks very much
the way a chinese man tilt the veil over the head of wife as he takes a peek of her face.

The Whole Of The Moon

I pictured a rainbow
You held in your hands
I had flashes
But you saw then plan
I wondered out in the world for years
While you just stayed in your room
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!
The whole of the moon!
You were there at the turnstiles
With the wind at your heels
You stretched for the stars
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon!
I was grounded
While you filled the skies
I was dumbfounded by truths
You cut through lies
I saw the rain-dirty valley
You saw brigadoon
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!
I spoke about wings
You just flew
I wondered, I guessed, and I tried
You just knew
I sighed
But you swooned
I saw the crescent
You saw the whole of the moon!
The whole of the moon!
With a torch in your pocket
And the wind at your heels
You climbed on the ladder
And you know how it feels
To reach too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon!
The whole of the moon!
Unicorns and cannonballs,
Palaces and piers,
Trumpets, towers, and tenemets,
Wide oceans full of tears,
Flag, rags, ferry boats,
Scimitars and scarves,
Every precious dream and vision
Underneath the stars
You climbed on the ladder
With the wind in your sails
You came like a comet
Blazing your trail
Too high
Too far
Too soon
You saw the whole of the moon!

The White-Footed Deer

It was a hundred years ago,
When, by the woodland ways,
The traveller saw the wild deer drink,
Or crop the birchen sprays.

Beneath a hill, whose rocky side
O'erbrowed a grassy mead,
And fenced a cottage from the wind,
A deer was wont to feed.

She only came when on the cliffs
The evening moonlight lay,
And no man knew the secret haunts
In which she walked by day.

White were her feet, her forehead showed
A spot of silvery white,
That seemed to glimmer like a star
In autumn's hazy night.

And here, when sang the whippoorwill,
She cropped the sprouting leaves,
And here her rustling steps were heard
On still October eves.

But when the broad midsummer moon
Rose o'er that grassy lawn,
Beside the silver-footed deer
There grazed a spotted fawn.

The cottage dame forbade her son
To aim the rifle here;
'It were a sin,' she said, 'to harm
Or fright that friendly deer.

'This spot has been my pleasant home
Ten peaceful years and more;
And ever, when the moonlight shines,
She feeds before our door.

'The red men say that here she walked
A thousand moons ago;
They never raise the war-whoop here,
And never twang the bow.

'I love to watch her as she feeds,
And think that all is well
While such a gentle creature haunts
The place in which we dwell.'

The youth obeyed, and sought for game
In forests far away,
Where, deep in silence and in moss,
The ancient woodland lay.

But once, in autumn's golden time,
He ranged the wild in vain,
Nor roused the pheasant nor the deer,
And wandered home again.

The crescent moon and crimson eve
Shone with a mingling light;
The deer, upon the grassy mead,
Was feeding full in sight.

He raised the rifle to his eye,
And from the cliffs around
A sudden echo, shrill and sharp,
Gave back its deadly sound.

Away into the neighbouring wood
The startled creature flew,
And crimson drops at morning lay
Amid the glimmering dew.

Next evening shone the waxing moon
As sweetly as before;
The deer upon the grassy mead
Was seen again no more.

But ere that crescent moon was old,
By night the red men came,
And burnt the cottage to the ground,
And slew the youth and dame.

Now woods have overgrown the mead,
And hid the cliffs from sight;
There shrieks the hovering hawk at noon,
And prowls the fox at night.

She.

She was tall and proud and graceful,
long laughing red hair framed her face.
Her sea green eyes, calm and serene,
looked at the world with a level gaze.

Generous lips in a half smile
above a firmly rounded jaw.
Small ears nestled close to her head
in each a golden crescent moon.

Even white teeth showed when she smiled.
Clad in a plain green linen dress,
the swelling curves of her firm breasts
were balanced by her rounded hips.

She showed no fear nor yet surprise,
but looked at me with interest.
She spoke, her voice was soft and sweet
In a language I did not know.

I only know my heart was gone,
plucked from me by her mystery.
She smiled and took my hand
and took me whither I should go.

She led me to a small cabin
alone and hidden in the trees.
There without words or need of words,
we came together lovingly.

We loved and slept and slept and loved,
until the evening twilight fell.
In happiness with limbs entwined
we settled in the soft darkness.

I was woken by bright sunlight
In a bramble patch, stiff and sore.
My strange love was nowhere to be seen,
but in my hand a crescent moon.

For thirty years I have returned
faithfully each summer.
In forlorn hope she would appear.
She kept my heart. I kept my faith.

Chloe

Chloe, i hang onto the past
Like a chandelier in a darkened room
But your hope is in the future
As light emerges from the gloom.
My sunset will be your dawn
Your happiness will be reborn.
It's snowy, but Chloe, ice will melt away.
Life, the price we have to pay
For the sun will light the bay
When silent fears sail away.
Chloe, we hang our hopes on a crescent moon
The aching in our hearts not just a pleasant tune
Scarred but starred like tender night
We feel the dark but wait for the light.
Our words still survive on a nomadic wind
Our thoughts free and open, with reality twinned.
Be proud, that life's shroud you have cast away
To feel out loud, while others torn, do fray-
Keeping it all inside on this roller- coaster ride
-They had so neatly planned, when love went hand in hand
As passion's fire was fanned.
Then Cupid turned out their light.
We still have the blue crazed night.
Chloe, continue to fly your kite
While the smug are convinced they are right.
Yes, the heart must rule the head
No skeleton ever bled
No feeling, no life, just dead.
Chloe we hang our hopes on a crescent moon.

Under the Moon

Under the crescent moon's faint glow
The washerman's bat resounds afar,
And the autumn breeze sighs tenderly.

To bleak Kansuh and the steppes of snow,
Calling my husband back to me.

That Is You

High tide...that is the effect of a round moon up in the air
Such a befitting term that never fails to amaze people

Like the heart, when close to its round moon, its beat fastens
and causes catostrophic things.

Afterwards, the round moon becomes far again
And loses its half or perhas becomes a crescent moon.

All is lost with the going of the moonlight
And its powerful gravitation on the sea that is you.

The Cat And The Moon

THE cat went here and there
And the moon spun round like a top,
And the nearest kin of the moon,
The creeping cat, looked up.
Black Minnaloushe stared at the moon,
For, wander and wail as he would,
The pure cold light in the sky
Troubled his animal blood.
Minnaloushe runs in the grass
Lifting his delicate feet.
Do you dance, Minnaloushe, do you dance?
When two close kindred meet.
What better than call a dance?
Maybe the moon may learn,
Tired of that courtly fashion,
A new dance turn.
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
From moonlit place to place,
The sacred moon overhead
Has taken a new phase.
Does Minnaloushe know that his pupils
Will pass from change to change,
And that from round to crescent,
From crescent to round they range?
Minnaloushe creeps through the grass
Alone, important and wise,
And lifts to the changing moon
His changing eyes.

When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky

Look out across the fields, see me returning.
Smoke is in your eyes, you draw a smile.
From the fireplace where my letters to you are burning,
Youve had time to think about it for a while.
Well, Ive walked two hundred miles, look me over.
Its the end of the chase and the moon is high.
It wont matter who loves who.
Youll love me or Ill love you
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling from the sky.
I can see through your walls and I know youre hurting.
Sorrow covers you up like a cape.
Only yesterday I know that youve been flirting
With disaster you somehow managed to escape.
Well, I cant provide for you no easy answers.
Who are you that I should have to lie?
Youll know all about it, love.
Itll fit you like a glove
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling from the sky.
I can hear your trembling heart beat like a river.
You must have been protecting someone last time I called.
Ive never asked you for nothing that you couldnt deliver.
Ive never asked to set yourself up for a fall.
I saw thousands who could have overcome the darkness,
For the love of a lousy buck, Ive watched them die.
Stick around, baby, were not through,
Dont look for me, Ill see you.
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling from the sky.
In your teardrops, I can see my own reflection.
It was on the northern border of texas where I crossed the line.
I dont want to be a fool starving for affection.
I dont want to drown in someone elses wine.
For all eternity I think I will remember
That icy wind thats howling in your eye.
You will seek me and youll find
Me in the wasteland of your mind.
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling from the sky.
Well, I sent you my feelings in a letter
But you were gambling for support.
This time tomorrow Ill know you better.
Where my memory is not so short.
This time Im asking for freedom,
Freedom from a world which you deny.
And youll give it to me now,
Ill take it anyhow.
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling,
When the night comes falling from the sky.
