Stories

Everyone has a story, even the homeless man on the street, but do we care? How did your life begin, and what were your dreams?

Maybe you'd have a beach home, with a boat floating next to the dock.
Your life would be good in the sun, but now that dream is smashed on the ocean rocks.

Dumpster diving for your next meal, where did all the country's wealth go? Hookers getting younger, no parents to hold them, everyday someone different to blow.

Now the weather is getting colder, and Christmas is coming around.
Rich families gathering around their big pretty white trees.
A man who lost it all on the street, with nothing to eat, looking into their perfect life, his body full of fleas.

Fake laughs inside that gorgeous home, everyone pretending love is in the air. Grandpa sitting in the corner,401k gone, lost it all as the market crashed, life isn't fair.

Screaming woman in the hospital, pushing out her fifth illegitimate baby. Young eyes looking up at a mother he'll never know. His life story is gonna be the next slim shady.

Everyone has their stories, read them as you look into a stranger's eyes. Through the pain, we share laughter, a united body of beings.
Lastly, see the aged man dying, eyes dimming. He is going to make new stories now, as his soul begins to fly.

3rd November

Of a very special injection into my body,
Of the ways of life to survive on this struggle!
For the pain is still in me.
Of a very special injection into my body,
Of the ways of life to survive this pain;
But i will be okay very soon my love.
In this life, the thing for you never lost;
But sometimes, they are really lost forever!

I am like Chief Dishon on this pain and,
3rd November will be remembered;
Because, every country is not easy to live in nowadays.
There are ups and downs and all sort of stories,
There are all types of struggles and pains too;
And where i do live now is full of stories as well.

You can be very rich anywhere on this earth,
For even the pooorest lands still do have rich people within;
And the 3rd of November will be remembered always.
Man has its own land of success but,
I hope that this injection will lead me to Mount Zion!
Oh Zion, come closer to me and lead me on;
For there are still stories all over this place of mine.

A Homeless Man

Those cold hands sheltered in his lap...
A simple life chosen to live, perhaps?
Could no bed be offered though?
Not even a chair?
In that desolate, gray street of the city
frozen like ice, but still calmly sitting
a cigarette is lit
and- smoking, fretting, spitting -
he makes his retreat from human affairs

And so, another lonely story
without any care
shoots a puffy white cloud
of smoke in the air
and I can't help but stare...
at all of his dreams
briefly lingering there
as he disappears
leaving the cold, winter road seem
so quiet
and bare.

And the sun in the sky is
In my eyes as it rises
I look at this guy
As he tries not to cry his
Heart out...
Sometimes we drive by
even though he needs help
The indifference within
is a sin in itself
Only focused on the ladders
we climb and we climb
And Heaven forbid
if you're not to work on time

Maybe he's hungry; he very well could be sad
Maybe bad luck's all the luck that he's had
Perhaps he was rich and traded stocks for big cash
'till the whole market crashed
- fortune gone in a flash
Maybe he thought,
'In America, land of Prosperity,
With so many Christian hearts filled with Sincerity
Surely someone will lead me back to the fun
I'll repay them their kindness - no harm will be done…'

'…But in the Home of the Brave and the greatest of lands
Not one single man will lend me a hand...
When an insult and pocket change is all that I find
In my sweet home America - I must've lost my mind! '

I see the sun in your eyes,
in the sky as it rises
Remember my friend,
life is full of surprises
And one day…
You may find yourself standing next to him

Beggin' for bucks; beggin' for change;
Down on your luck; down in the drain;
Lookin' aroun' with a frown on your face
Cuz you ran outta gas
and now your ass is sittin' out of the race
Could you ever let go of the stuff you don't need?
Or, is it deep in your bones and the blood that you bleed?
did you read the fine print in your contract on the day
you signed your soul and life away?

So,
if you ever see a lonely story
Without any care
cold wind in his hair
Mmaybe his thumb in the air...
Stare if you dare
but, consider it fair - -
Fairly likely that one day
It could be little
old you
standing there.

New Orleans

(mark d. sanders/bob dipiero/steve seskin)
He was twenty-five, she was twenty-eight
He was home grown country, shed just pulled off the interstate
She bought a dr. pepper, ten dollars worth of gas
She was ovbiously lost but too afraid to ask directions
So he offered her a smile and a stick of beech nut gum
He said where you headed to girl, where are you coming from
She said
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
First she stayed a day then she stayed a week
Couple of months later they were living on his parents street
He worked the station and she worked the store
And then they had a baby and
Then they had one more little jesse
When she dropped the kids off at the mothers day out
All the ladies had their questions
But they knew not to ask about
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
Wednesday night supper at the first baptist church
Stranger standin in the doorway
As theyre passin out the dessert
He said go on and pack your bags
Cause Im here to take you home
Im goin back to louisiana
And woman I aint gonna go with out you
Theres a few defining moments in every persons life
When you know what youve done wrong
And you know what youve done right
And before the congregation and her husband and her kids
She says, how dare you even speak to me
After everything you did...in
New orleans but thats another story
New orleans thats another time
Thats another town, thats another life
Thats another town, thats another life

Stories

Every year has its own stories in this life,
Every month has its own stories in this life,
Every week has its own stories in this life,
Every day has its own stories in this life,
Every hour has its own stories in this life,
Every minute has its own stories in this life,
And like the muse of the mind as we grow up;
So, we are all with stories to tell in this world.

As white as snow,
As red as blood,
As balck as charcoal,
As green as the grass,
As blue as the sky;
But everybody has stories to tell in this world!
And like the muse o love in the land of beauty,
For each year has its own story.

Warmer Than Winter, Colder Than Summer

In summer, when the wishes of us grow up like a steeple,
When we feel the warm weather, and see happy people

All the sadness and all the bad things will gone
No one feels hard, the life of cruel people is done.

Wishes, dreams, our childhood laughs…oh look, here is sweet home!
Wow! Home, sweet home! For the vacation of this summer let's go to Rome!

For our life we wrote lots of plans
And if we couldn't make them, our life will be so tight, as the soda cans!

In winter we rather to stay at home, near our dreams and our dear pen,
We drink warm coffee with our dear parents, now and then

Winter has lot's of stories to say,
Stories about the old steam of past and lovely frozen bay

All is about us, we can have our winter warmer than summer and we can have a summer that is colder than winter,
But the thing that is always warm and charmer in these two seasons, is the sun that comes from Easter!

Crazyman Dance

Well Im still here
But Im so scared
Got myself in trouble, so much trouble
I know Ive got to make it
But I just cant take new york
My middle name is fear
I have a vacant stare
And its been so long since my bodys been warm
I know Ive got to make it
But I just cant take new york
I came here
All dreams and wide eyes in the big, big city
No family, no money
And I dont even know whats hit me
He hasnt seen a doctor
Since he got here in the spring
Went to the medicentre
But they wouldnt let him
Without a green card
Life can be so hard
Take pity on a man without a home of his own
How could he ever have known?
Every street and every corner
Watch them drowning
Watch them do the crazyman dance
Man and women to the slaughter
We just stand and watch them
Do the crazyman dance
Its been one whole year
And its just not fair
For all the pushing and shoving
Ive still got nothing
Im never gonna make it
And Im stuck here in new york
So people dont come near
Unless youve a dollar to spare
cause you know what they say
About madmen on the subways of new york
Believe it
Yesterdays newspapers
I wrap them around my body
Outside these skyscrapers
I wait for the night to hit me
And boy, does it hit me
Every street and every corner
Watch them drowning
Watch them do the crazyman dance
For a nickel or a quarter
For your pleasure
Watch them do the crazyman dance
Im coming yo london
Im coming to paris
Im coming yo make you good clean people embarressed
Why dont you look at my face
Why dont you look in my eyes
Youd rather look at your feet
Youd rather look at the skies
Oh, youd look anywhere
But a man whose pure existence
Says i aint got time
And I dont care
You just dont care
Care

Lost In You

(r.stewart/a. taylor)
Hey baby
Youve been on my mind tonight
Im so lonely
I just had to sit down and write
I spent all yesterday
Trying to figure out what Im gonna say
A letter from the heart
Is so hard to start baby
Hows your mama, hows the wheather
Hows that son of mine, yeah.
Hey baby
Been a long time since we made love
Im stone cold, the beds hard
And the work is tough
Im never gonna leave you again
This job aint worth the pain
No money in the world
Aint worth being away from you
Ooh baby I dont sleep
Without you by my side, listen
Im in love with you woman
Its a common known natural fact
And Ive found what Im looking for
And its so much more than that
Im lost in you, Im lost in you
Im lost in you, Im lost in you
Hey baby
You dont know what youve done for me
Im so happy
As any man can deserve to be
I was living in a life of sin
God knows what a mess I was in
So glad you found me
I aint getting any younger
Hey baby I just hope
It aint all a dream
Im in love with you woman
Its a common known natural fact
And Ive found what Im looking for
And its so much more than that
Im lost in you, Im lost in you
Im lost in you, Im lost in you
I miss you baby
I miss you too
I miss your laughing eyes
I miss our baby crying
I wanna lay you out
And kiss you all over
Im coming home real soon
Be ready cause when I do
Im gonna make love to you
Like fifteen men.
Im lost in you and I love it
Im lost in you and I love it
Im lost in, Im lost in
Im lost in you
Im lost in, Im lost in
Im lost in you
And I just love it
Hey baby I love it
Child I love it
Im lost in you, yeah

In My Eyes Remix

Look into my eyes
Try to see what I see
View the world through my eyes

See the hurt of war stricken families
The pain of poverty filled streets
See the racism and discrimination all around us

See the competition
Survival of the Fittest
Will you make it out alive?

See the eagerness of children in the ghetto
Hear their cry to get out
Their plea for a better life
Watch mothers desperately trying to provide
Hustlin’ and selling their bodies for a decent meal

Look into my eyes
See those better off
Watch them make a living
The American dream, that’s what their living
See them climb the corporate ladder
Strive to reach the top
They have the money
So why won’t they share it?
Why won’t they share a meal?

Why are so many on the streets homeless?
In America, the land of dreams
With streets paved in gold
Where is the promise of a better life?

Any Street In Any Town

Look down any street
in any town across the land
at the rows of houses there.
Then you begin to wonder
what memories each house shares.
Some of happiness
where dreams have come true.
Some are of sadness
where lives have been hurt by pain.
Some with tragic stories
they never want to share again.
Each house will have many stories
of the individuals whom lived there.
Each story will be different
from all the rest.
Each leave memories
in every room they slept.
Their stories are unending
as new families come along.

Homeless

Homeless;
- Down by the muddy Mississippi
Skinny as a rail,
Sleeping under the old Eads bridge
Feeling low, dirty, and frail -
Homeless;
- With less than two coins
In both pockets,
Empty eyes
Look through sunken sockets -
Homeless;
- So many people walk right on by
I wonder how many care,
They all keep moving
Even though they stare -
Homeless;
- Lost a job
Lost a home,
Lost a family
Lost all hope -
Homeless;
- Where will I go from here
What should I do,
I'm so thankful when the weather's fair
And the skies are blue -
Homeless;
- Don't know the day nor season
And, yea, it sure gets cold at night,
I've got an old sleeping bag
I'll be alright -
Homeless;
- There's so many of us out here
Without a home,
Even so
I feel so very alone -
Homeless;
- It's a tough situation
Not pretty, just true,
And at any time
It could happen to you -
Homeless;
- Hey buddy...
Could you spare a dime,
And say a prayer for us
... sometime -
- I'm just homeless, not less human...

Discordant Note

Little stories for little people lifting my thoughts from
eternal battle and strife to survive life without hope in
a future except what I can fantasise, an ability almost
lost as Less-Than-Effective reaches for Mediocre – a
status I have not even reached yet and which I detest,
I suppose Fully-Dysfunctional suits me better; constant
battle in my mind is not all that much fun

Living in a perfect world where I am the only discordant
note, being the only failure tolerated among my seniors
who love routine and doing boring tasks without going
out of their minds; I stopped making up stories and life
lost all its colour and spice – so I shall make up stories
again and put in all the beautiful things I missed so
much, taking care not to involve anyone else

Except the characters of my favourite authors, they do
not mind me being stupid and lost, they kick-start the
games that give zest to life, looking beyond the surface
to see the dreams that no-one ever need to bring alive
for them to give meaning to every idealistic treatise I
love to read, strengthening belief in an expanded
consciousness when my body dies and I shall

Break free from this perfect world in which we live...

The Lose Of Love

The life after ending love is like deserted home,
The love is my happy home that my soul lives in
But when the love is gone
Inside me the warm feeling of the love
Remains the memory of gone love every while and while
And fades away at once
But in vain all this pain
While the love is dead
Falling in love brings us to life
We begin to see things like never were there before
All the beauties come to life with love
The birds voices begins to appear
Ah, what a wonderful feeling
While all the past wounds disappears at once
Everywhere is colored blue with green
he soul wears the peace
The laughter comes from deeper inside our hearts
without any whys just because the soul is in love
Ah, nothing left there
Oh, the love is gone its cold winter time
Here inside, , ,
Inside my soul
The poor memories of lost love revives every while and while and ends at once with the dawn.

Lost In Love

Would you love me
When nights are cold
Would you love me
When I grow old
Would you care
Baby its not easy
Take me by surprise
And say youre there
Would you love me
Give me one more chance
Would you love me
Try and understand
Would you share a life
That is music
Show me in your eyes
That youll stay with me tonight
Im lost in love
I cant live without you
Im lost in love,
All my dreams around you
And Im lost in love
And its true
I cant live without you
Oh, no
Would you love me
When Im in doubt
Would you love me
Just to be around
Would you share my
Life that is music
Take me in your arms
And sing my melody
Im lost in love
I cant live without you
Im lost in love,
All my dreams around you
And Im lost in love
And its true
I cant live without you
Oh, no
And Im lost in love
Say you really want me
Love is a passion
Just cant hide
And Im lost in love
Time and again and it
Hurts me
Youll be my reason
For starting again, again
Im lost in love
I cant live without you
Im lost in love
And all my dreams around you
Im lost in love
I cant live without you
Im lost in love
Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby
Im lost in love
Baby I cant live without you

One More Try

Heat of the night, in silent skies
I watched the rain fall in the streetlight
Im hypnotized by your sweet smile
Clear as a picture in my minds eye
Id do anything to have you here
Do everything to dry your tears
Baby, baby, wont you understand
Can you forgive me for the love I let slip through my hands?
Chorus:
Baby, were worth one more try
Cant you see my soul is dying
Only you can breathe new life
Baby, were worth one more try
I cant deny a thousand times
I left you all alone like a lost child
Id sacrifice to rectify
To heal the hurt that I still see in your eyes
Id do anything to have you here
Do everything to dry your tears
Baby, baby, wont you understand
Can you forgive me for the love I let slip through my hands?
Chorus:
Baby, were worth one more try
(cant you see) deep inside, my soul is dying
Only you can breathe new life
Baby, were worth one more try
The carnival carousel on freemond street, where we would meet
Those days just seem so out of reach
I still hear your voice as I got to sleep, still haunting me
You hold the key to set me free; cant you see
Chorus:
Baby, were worth one more try
(cant you see) deep inside, my soul is dying
Only you can breathe new life
Baby, were worth one more try
Baby, wont you listen to me
Baby, were worth one more try
(cant you see) deep inside my soul is dying
Only you can breathe new life
Baby, were worth one more try
Only you can breathe new life
Baby, were worth one more try...try...try

Story Of My Life

The story of my life
is very plain to read
it starts the day you came
and ends the day you leave
The story of my life
begins and ends with you
the names are still the same
and the story's still the truth
I was alone
you found my waiting
and made me your own
I was afraid
that somehow I never could be
the man that you wanted of me
You're the story of my life
and every word is true
each chapter sings your name
each page begins with you
It's the story of our times
and never letting go
and if I die today
I wanted you to know
Stay with my here
share with me care with me
stay and be near
and when it began
I'd lie awake every night
just knowing somewhere deep inside
that our affair just might write
The story of my life
it's so very plain to read
it starts the day you came
and ends the day you leave

You Say About Life

You say about life that life for all is fair
You must have been talking to a billionaire
You want to know about life go to Poverty Street
And those who are doing it hard there you will meet.

The homeless and down and outs doing it tough
Without food or shelter obliged to sleep rough
That life for all is fair is so easy to say
For one like you with a good job and great take home pay.

On your philosophies on life I for one don't agree
So why bother waste your time on talking to me
Since I believe life's only fair for a minority
And not for the poor billions in poverty.

Your opinions are your's and that suits me fine
But your views on life are quite different to mine
With a great job, new home and healthy kids and a beautiful young wife
You are not one to be saying of a fair for all life.

Stories

Through every window, we look out
what we see on the other side
holds many stories waiting to unfold.
Stories of great achievements
within someone’s life.
Stories of gathering love
found with in open arms.
Stories of perusing heartaches
where someone has gone away.
Stories a million fold
that surround every living thing.
Stories we are not aware of,
but happen before our eyes.
Stories to share with all
from those who can see them unfold.
The next time you look out a window
try and see what is really there,
the stories that are everywhere.

Misunderstood

Little old man contemplates
Suicide twice a day
Lifes passed him by
Little old woman scared and blind
Left alone in desperate times
Lifes passed her by
(chorus)
Oh, life its misunderstood them
So they close their eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood, yeah
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Little boy with vacant eyes
Daddy wont be home tonight
And he dont know why
His mother she sits alone
Tangled in the web shes sewn
She lives lie to lie
(chorus)
Strangled, caged, left alone
Doin time in a broken home
Feelin left to die
Im a product of your troubled ways
You made me what I am today
Now youre askin why
Oh, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Restless soul deep inside
Searches for some piece of mind
Livin just to die
Im an angry man I always have
Had to fight to survive my past
Sign of these times
Life, its misunderstood me
And I know, know youve been there too
Time lets a restless soul fade away
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Yeah, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of a better day
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Little boy with hopeful eyes
Daddys comin home tonight
So dont you cry

Eyes Of Mr D (Part 1)

They took the cotton gauze away
from his closed eyes.
“You can open them now Mr D.”
He opened his eyes to see hazy figures there,
black and grey images, and nothing more.

A gentle and kind voice, asked him what he saw.
“Hazy images>“He replied.
“It will be like that for a little while,
and then they will begin to clear.”
Each day his sight got better, the
haze began to clear.

Then the colour came,
and a rainbow spectrum appeared before his eyes,
of things he could never see.
A light shone through his life,
of things he had never known.
A new awakening
with images to fit the sounds.

His mind began to wonder
where his new eyes had come from.
They were not allowed to tell him,
who the donor was or anything about them.
Finally, he was released from hospital.

He went back to his flat
where he had to learn again,
where everything was now that he could see.
He smiled at the white walking stick.
He would keep it as a reminder
of how lucky he was.

Sitting in his chair in the sunshine,
as it came through the window.
Then it happened.
It was as if he were in a dream.
The images lost their colour.
He was in a place he had never seen before.

Hands reached out around the neck,
of a face he could not see.
It seemed as if
they were strangling the life out of someone there.
The body struggled and then went limp.
On the body, falling, the face was now revealed.
A young pretty face
distorted in the throes of death.

Old Man

Old man look at my life,
Im a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
Im a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
Twenty four and theres so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.
Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things that dont get lost.
Like a coin that wont get tossed
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life Im a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell thats true.
Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesnt mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.
Ive been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But Im all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life Im a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell thats true.
Old man look at my life,
Im a lot like you were.
