In the spirit of Rumi 44 -Between, lies beyond
Some men argue all their life
against predestination
Some men argue all their life
against free will
You argue with yourself all your life
about predestination and about free will
Wise men say that God is to be found
where opposites meet and are resolved
Between predestination and free will
is to be found belief.

A Child Looks For Fun
if predestination is the fact of life
then i am writing out somebody's poems
if predestination drives the world
then i am merely acting out scripts
written out to the whole creation
if predestination is presdestined
then i am a computer programe
the child looks for his fun round the clock

Free At Last
Now I am trying to tell you something about my life
Maybe give you insight might just change your life
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Im free from fooling round wasting time,
Floating in this abyss of your dreadful love
Free is a feeling so high in the sky
Higher higher higher
Free from the quarrels unsatisfaction
Free from the false dream that you planted
In me with your submissive love
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Now I am open like the sky
For the sun to shine and colors true
To find me blue
Oh what a joy to be free
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,
Im free of cheating your poor heart at my own damn expense
The cost was heavy and it rent as a thunder cloud
A hurricane sure racked in my heart
Now the rain is gone and I am gone
Yes, I am moving on
Im free at last, Im free at last, Im free at last,

Live Your Life Be Free
Live your life be free
Live your life be free
Open up your mind and you will see
You should be with me baby
You should be with me
I see you walking with her
I see you all around
But you don't seem very happy now
You seem very down
I know you feel an obligation
To her emotional state of mind
This is the time in your life baby
When you should be having a good time
And if you want me I'll be there
To run my fingers through your hair
And if you need me its alright
Come on over baby, and see me tonight
You got to
Live your life be free
Live your life be free
Open your mind and you will see
You should be with me baby
You should be with me
You know that I'll be waiting
You know my heart is true
I will be your everything
And give everything to you
So if you want me baby I know
Don't have to knock knock down my doors
Her heart was meant to be broken that day
You got a lot of love to live
So why dont you
Live your life be free
Live your life be free
Open your mind and you will see
You should be with me baby
You should be with me
You should be with me baby
You should be with me
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
Live your life be free baby
And when you free your mind
You will leave your past behind
Live your life be free
Live your life be free
Open your mind and you will see
You should be with me baby
You should be with me
Live your life be free
Live your life be free
Open your mind and you will see
You should be with me baby
You should be with me

No one will ever argue that someone could have played Helen Keller better than Patty Duke. It was an incredibly demanding role and I don't think anyone can argue that it was a false performance.

Break Away
Break break shakeaway
Break breakaway
Now I'm free to do what I wanna do
Time will not wait for me
Time is my destiny
Why change the part of me that has to be free
The love that passed me by
I found no reason why
But now each day is filled with the love
That very same love
That passed me by
And that is why
I can breakaway from that lonely life
And I can do what I wanna do
And breakaway from that empty life
And my world is new
When I layed down on my bed
I heard voices in my head
Telling me now "Hey it's only a dream"
The more I thought of it
I had been out of it
And here's the answer I found instead
(Baby baby)
Found out it was in my head
(Baby baby)
(Baby baby)
Found out it was my head
(Baby baby)
(Baby baby)
Found out it was in my head
(Baby baby)
And I can breakaway to the better life
Where the shackles never hold me down
I'm gonna make a way for each happy day
As my life turns around
Come on we're free to breakaway
(Oh boy you jump for joy)
Now won't you come on
(When you breakaway)
You're free to breakaways
(Breakaway)
Come on you're free to breakaway
(Breakaway)
Now won't you come on
(Breakaway)
You're free to breakaways
(Breakaway)
Feel the vibrations

Tomorrow
Written by dan peek, 1975
Found on hearts.
Time goes on
People burning candles
Will I ever see you tomorrow
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free
When will it ever be, oh lord, just you and me
When will I ever be free
Life goes on
People turning handles
Making sure Ill be here tomorrow
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free
When will it ever be, oh lord, just you and me
When will I ever be free
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free
When will it ever be, oh lord, just you and me
When will I ever be free
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free
When will I ever be home from across the sea
When will I ever be free ...

Argument
Days that cannot bring you near
or will not,
Distance trying to appear
something more obstinate,
argue argue argue with me
endlessly
neither proving you less wanted nor less dear.
Distance: Remember all that land
beneath the plane;
that coastline
of dim beaches deep in sand
stretching indistinguishably
all the way,
all the way to where my reasons end?
Days: And think
of all those cluttered instruments,
one to a fact,
canceling each other's experience;
how they were
like some hideous calendar
"Compliments of Never & Forever, Inc."
The intimidating sound
of these voices
we must separately find
can and shall be vanquished:
Days and Distance disarrayed again
and gone...

Don't
Don't!
Don't... don't you wish we tried?
Do you feel what I feel inside?
You know our love is stronger than pride... oh
No don't... don't let your anger grow
Just tell me what you need me to know
Please talk to me, don't close the door
Hmmm, 'cause I wanna hear you
I wanna be near you
[Chorus]
Don't fight, don't argue
Give me the chance to say that I'm sorry
Just let me love you
Don't turn me away
Don't tell me to go
Don't!... Don't give up on trust
Don't give up on me, on us
If we could just hold on long enough
Hmmm, we can do it
we'll get through it
[Chorus]
Don't fight, don't argue
Just give me the chance to say that I'm sorry
Just let me love you
Don't turn me away, don't tell me to go
Don't pretend that it's okay
Things won't get better that way
Don't do something you might regret someday...
Don't!
[dobro solo, instrumental]
Don't give up on me
Hmm, Don't!
(We can do it) We'll get through it
[Chorus]
Don't fight, don't argue
Just give me the chance to say that I'm sorry
Just let me love you
Don't turn me away, don't tell me to go
Don't! (Don't fight dont argue)
Don't give up on me
(Give me the chance to say that I'm sorry)
Say that that I'm sorry
(Just let me love you)
Don't give up on me
(Don't turn me away)
Don't tell me to go
Don't!
(Don't fight don't argue)
Don't give up on me
(Give me the chance to say that I'm sorry)
Say that that I'm sorry
(Just let me love you)
Dont give up on me
(Don't turn me away)
Don't tell me to go...

The Shorter Week
I worked for fifty hours a week,
And someone said to me,
'Don't be a serf! Throw off your chains,
And show the world you're free!'
So I cut down my working hours
And found, upon the whole,
The leisure time I had to spare
Good for my body's carking care,
And better for my soul.
I worked for forty hours a week,
And someone said to me,
'Release your bonds, you shackled slave!
Show all the world you're free!'
So I reduced my working hours
And found in leisured lull,
The more I sought to play, the more
Amusement had become a bore,
And life was rather dull.
I worked for twenty hours a week,
And someone said to me
'Awake, you mutt! Snap out of it,
And show the world you're free!'
So I cut out my working hours
And found that joy had flit.
Upon black melancholia's brink,
I sometimes used to sit and think
And sometimes merely sit.
I worked for not one hour a week,
And someone said to me,
'You lazy coot! Arise and shine!
You call this being free?'
So I resolved I'd better far
Rejoin the toiling mob.
But when I rose and looked around,
To my intense digust I found
Someone had pinched my job.

Im Set Free
(reed)
Ive been set free and Ive been bound
To the memories of yesterdays clouds
Ive been set free and Ive been bound
And now Im set free
Im set free
Im set free to find a new illusion
Ive been blinded but
Now I can see
What in the world has happened to me
The prince of stories who walk right by me
And now Im set free
Im set free
Im set free to find a new illusion
Ive been set free and Ive been bound
Let me tell you people
What I found
I saw my head laughing
Rolling on the ground
And now Im set free
Im set free
Im set free to find a new illusion

I Am Free
Once I was a prisoner
Lost inside myself
With the world surrounding me
Wandering through the misery
But now I am free
You gave me a breath of life
Unclouded my eyes
With a sweet serenity
Lighting a ray of hope for me
And now I am free
Free to live
Free to laugh
Free to soar
Free to shine
Free to give
Free to love
Free enough to fly
Once I was all so alone
Unsteady and cold
But your love rained down upon me
Washing away uncertainty
But now
I am free

Actively Arguing
He is in this course of activity,
Full of it, favouring it and condemning something.
It was thus an argument, of hardness,
And he shouted out too much.
They argue, fuss over everything,
Not to illegally complain, but to favour as well.
May our reasons for such loud contemplations
Be fit, and let them argue worse.
He is in this action, and for this the same action
Has arisen to frighten everyone.
