Is letting go a metaphor?

what is letting go -
letting go of grief?
the serenity of letting go?
(must be a bad metaphor)
losing represents letting go of control

I need to understand this 'letting go'
is it a metaphor for facing the inevitable?
breathing as a metaphor for living

Wings Of A Dove

Let me fly in the wings of a dove
Above the Manhattan sky
So that all the yankies can see me
At least I will be safe in the wings of a dove
And I can sleep while I am fling in the wings of a dove
I love to fly in the wings of a dove
But the feeling of being high in the sky is great
But God gave me a chance to fly in the wings of a dove
When the opportunity came I didn't even think for a minute
I just jumped right in this opportunity
And I am glad I did it
Because I am having the greatest time when I am flying in the wings of a Dove
But I woke up at midnight and the sky was already dark
Eventhough the dove was still flying
The dove took me all the way to Chigago the windy city
Men I must tell you that it was very windy inthe sky in chicago
But we landed safe in Chicago by the shore
And I sleept in the shore of Chicago for the night
To me it was almost like being inside a movie scream when I woke up the next morning at the Shore of Chicago

God's Sustaining Grace

God bestows His Glorious Grace on all of those who truly believe,
Just simply come to The Lord in faith and you will definitely see.
He sends your way His Comforting Grace in the darkest of times,
He sends you Saving Grace to save you out of the vilest of crimes.

Being left in this world for a time, His Grace sustains me and you,
And though the journey seems long at times He will see us through.
And even though this life is temporal, for the Christian it's a race,
So we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

For it was by Grace that I was saved and not of any deed of my own,
And like Abraham, I'll go as God leads focusing on my Heavenly home.
Although he was promised a land on earth where his feet could trod,
Abraham was looking for a city whose builder and architect was God.

And though we have trials and tribulations that seem to be very gray,
We are not consumed because God's Compassions are new every day.
Therefore we do not lose heart, though outwardly we are wasting away,
For inwardly through the work of The Spirit we're renewed day by day.

The Grace that led Abraham has appeared to give us eternal insight.
We must remember that God has taken us out of the darkest of night,
To be the light of the world showing men the Only Way that is right.
And lead them out of the darkest of night into His Everlasting Light.

Mary, Mother Of Jesus

In Roman times, when swords were raised,
And peace on Earth was rare,
There lived a girl now highly praised,
A girl beyond compare...
Her name was Mary, Joseph's love,
Betrothed, untouched by Man...
Who met an angel from above
Who then revealed God's plan!
'Young maiden, you are full of grace!
The Lord chose you of all!
You shall conceive and then embrace
The child that God must call!
He shall be king and rightly so,
Begotten of the Lord!
And blessed is he, God's Son to know...
So, Mary, be assured! '
God's Son was born as prophesied!
To Mary, here on Earth...
In time, she saw Him crucified!
Esteemed not for His worth!
Her heart was broken just like His!
She held his mortal frame!

As she whispered His name...

Law to arrogance void of sight
