Woman

How can a mother ever quite forget,
or quite relinquish in her memory,
that state which babies share with saints:
to be free from all desires of mind?

And so the mother must take on
that strange but natural responsibility
to desire, for the baby in her charge; but then,
one day, to learn to stop to ‘mother’
for the child’s own growing sake..

And how much more, instinct and reason
must have played in Her; given a responsibility
greater than the world itself?

And who can ever know those private conversations
between the growing Child of God
and young earthly mother of that heavenly Child?

So, when at that wedding and its showing-forth
the servants were unsure, She was there
to say ‘Do what He says’..

And from John comes that bald account
which we must read each for ourself:
‘Woman, what have you to do with Me…? ’

He, not yet ready as He thought,
for destiny; divisive miracles?

Who knows how many private conversations
lay behind that question and its rhetoric –
public, and recorded by that deeply impressed scribe…

and whether it was said with gentle smile
(who reads the words of Jesus as from One
who almost always smiled – His words, a gift?)

or said with firm authority, which we may take
as heard by Her, not with a fusser’s shame,
but with Magnificat still ringing in Her mind?

And then, perhaps, She learned to grieve
and not to grieve, beneath a holy Cross..

I think this passage is forever read
by men in one way; women in another;
and perhaps, that’s just how it should be.

A Mother

How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is conceived nine months in the womb
the child that is cradled at daytime,
night time until dawn?
How can a mother forget her child?

How can a mother forget her child
the child who after the flow of months
has learned to stand and run?
How can a mother forget her child,
the child whose mouth imitates her mother`s tongue,
the child who after a year or two can say,
'Mama, I love you'?

How can a mother forget her child,
the child who is so dear in her own heart and mind,
the child that reveals the mystery of creation,
the beauty of growth and human interaction.
the infinity of our own universe
within its finite linear time?

A Mother

A mother shows the child the world
A mother is its world when small
A mother shows the child what's love
A mother loves her child like a doll!

A mother makes the home and bed
A mother cares for all at home
A mother trains the child to walk
And stand on own, perfectly talk.

A mother is the teacher prime
A mother moulds the character
A mother shows the child to pray
And trust the unseen God all life.

A mother is the child's best friend
A mother knows its needs and wants
A mother cares for child when sick
And feels so proud, when child achieves.

Children, thank God for a good mother
On ‘Mother's day! '

I want to

I want to tell you a story, And you can read about it some more,

About a wise king called Solomon, who had servants do e Rey chore;

One day he heard the Lord God of Israel talk to him and say,

Because you chose to be my child, and my words you do obey,

I have decided to give you a gift and you can decide which to choose,

You can become very rich, so money, or wisdom, which can you use?

Solomon thought long and hard, and decided wisdom was the best,

And so God said because you wasn't greedy you can have the rest.

Solomon soon found out wisdom he did receive, from the Lord,

When 2 women came fighting over one baby boy he had heard;

The mother of the one who died said its mine the child that's alive,

But the other mother whose one who lived no that's mine, she does lie.

They both argued so king Solomon said cut the baby in two,

Let them share half each, In the bible you'll see it's true;

The real mother said no give to her, please don't destroy the boy,

But the other mum just kept saying slice him, she thought it like a toy.

So king Solomon said give the child to the mother over there,

She is the real mother, she was protecting him, cause she doth care;

Only a real mother could show so much love, enough to give away,

Than let her child be destroyed, Wise Solomon knew what to say.

Yes! Solomon received money as well, but becoming rich went to his head,

When he built such beautiful buildings, he forgot God, and said t'was I. Instead;

The Moral of this story, is don't forget to say Thanks to God for everything,

Never think that you did it all, God has made. So Give Praises to God as you sing.

A Mother's Love

What is a Mother's love? Only a Mother will know,
When a Child is sick with fever, and the pulse is slow;
A Mother will not sleep or rest, till the child is well,
This is what my Mother did, she cared, I could tell.

What is a Mother's love? As it's only a Mother can feel,
When a Child is so bad, she makes her Mother feel like a heel;
Like the Mother will keep her patience till she wants to cry,
But in the end, when; the child is sorry, then she will sigh.

What is a Mother's love? Only a Mother can say with Love,
My Mother never did give up, it's the Same as God above;
When we Hurt our Mother, show Angers, a grieve them too,
We need to say sorry, and also to God this is true.

God and Mother's are almost the same, Forgiving and Receiving,
God just patiently waits for us, to be well behaving;
And say sorry for our sin, He' ll never give up on us,
So is a Mother's Love, she shows love, she'll never fuss.

Oh! My mama, happy mother's day
You are the greatest mother I have ever had
You are my mother today
You will be my mother tomorrow
You are always my mother
You will forever be my mother

Thank you my mother for bringing me into this world
Thank you my mother for taking care of me in your womb
Thank you my mother caring for me as a toddler
Thank you my mother for feeding me since I was a baby
Thank you my mother for all the clothes you bought for me
Thank you my mother for teaching me good manners at home

Thank you my mother for sending me to school
Thank you my mother for supervising my homework
Thank you my mother for ensuring I eat before going to school
Thank you my mother for all the regular pocket money
Thank you my mother for liking my friends
Thank you my mother for all the everyday advices

My mother always remind me that fingers are not equal
As I grow up, I have seen the correlation of this analogy
To many human beings, neighbors, societies and nationalities
Oh! My mama, thank you for your words of wisdom
My mother taught me many things that I have never read in books
Thank you my mother for all your guiding philosophies

Oh! My mama, I sincerely wish everyday could be Mother's Day
One day in a year is not enough to thank my wonderful mother
Oh! My mama, I will forever be your child

I Would Do For You

The Mother looks into the eyes of her child,
With the love that is so deep and true
Then she hugs her child and loves her child,
And says, “ there is nothing that I would not do for you”.
She loves her child more than she does herself
She’ll places her child above all others
For the child she would die, And not even ask why,
As the child is hers, and she is the mother.
She knows she’ll will always be there for her child
No matter the pain or a reason why,
Just to see it smile or hear it laugh
It is the greatest joy that a mother wont hide.
She will follow her child throughout her life
That being the reason why she says she lives
The love is so great for a mother and her child,
That there is nothing that she would not do or give.
She thinks of her child constantly when she is alone
She knows no pain or discomfort when the child is near,
She is only here to make her child happy and wise
While hoping never to bring her child a tear.
I now look into the eyes of my wife,
The woman who I love with a love so deep and true,
As a mother loves her child, a man he loves his wife
And with her in mind I say, “ there is nothing that I wouldn't do for you”.

Mother, I May Have Been A Naughty Child

Mother, I may have been a naughty child,
But I am your child nevertheless!
You own the world, mother, you are the queen of the world,
And look at me, I go about in the habit of a beggar.

You are bent on neglecting me,
But I love you anyway, it is you, only you that I call upon.
Just as a child runs to his mother even after she has scolded him,
So do I run to you.

How could you push me away from you, mother,
You are my mother, are you not?
Oh, why did you cast me away, mother,
Leave me to play in the dust?
I would have been a better child,
Had only you been a little more kind to me.

I am sad and angry, mother,
I shall go away anywhere my eyes and my feet take me to.
I do not care now whether i live or die now, mother,
I am going away.

Song: XI

Mother, mother, do you not hear?
Mother, they come; there is news to tell!
– Give me your hands, my daughter dear:
'Tis but a ship that saileth well.

Mother dear, have a care, give heed!
–They go, my daughter, away they speed.
Mother, the danger is sore, alas!
– Child, my child, it will quickly pass.

Mother, mother, She draweth near!
– It is down in the harbour, daughter dear.
Mother, mother, She opens the door!
– Child, they go, to return no more.

Mother, She enters! I am afraid!
– Child, they now have the anchor weighed.
Mother, I hear Her speaking low.
– Child, my child, it is they that go.

Mother, She makes the stars go dark!
– Child, 'tis the sails of a shadowy bark.
Mother, She knocks at the casement still!
– Child, maybe it is fastened ill. . . .

Mother, mother, my sight grows dim. . . .
– Child, they sail for the open sea.
On every hand I can hear but Him. . . .
– O child, what is it, and who is He?

God-The Mother

It is great
to have a lasting
relationship with God—
As has a mother
towards her child.

Any mistakes committed
by the child
can be freely conveyed
to its mother
and ask for forgiveness
to which the mother quickly responds.

She lovingly wipes the dirt
off the child.
The mother has
nothing but love
towards her child.
She looks after it ever.

In like manner
God cleanses our dirty mind.
God is such a mother to us.

A Tribute to Motherhood

I was going on a journey by train,
Outside it had started to rain.
My eyes rested on a mother and a child.
It is only possible to find
Such a look of tenderness on a mother’s face.
It was a moment filled with grace.

As the child looked up at her,
It instinctively knew it was her mother
And he can have complete trust
In her, that she will always put him first.
Compassionate, forgiving, tender and loving
At times firm, but forever giving.

God created mothers as he couldn’t be everywhere,
So each child could get his fair share
Of protection and love, when in need.
She not only feeds and reads
To him but by example leads.
And tries her best to sow the right seeds.

My mother is no more
She will never walk in through that door.
But where ever she is, she is blessing me
I know in my heart, she taught me how to be.

The Beauty of a Mother

The beauty of a woman starts
When her womb begins to grow
The child that she'll give birth
Soon will call her, “my mother”

The beauty of a mother reigns
When her arms cradle her child
And her charm shines within
Her heart full of love and care

The beauty of mother un-fades
When her hands guide her child
In all places walking side by side
To protect her child from danger

The beauty of a mother is her brain
To teach her child to read and write
To let the child know the difference
Of what is wrong and what is right

The beauty of a mother is her act
To treat her child without compare
To list none of whatsoever is best
For her child is the gem of her life

Then the beauty of mother reflects
From the eyes of her child in return
To respect, love, and care for her
When age and time set them apart

Mother or Momma

A mother gives birth, but a momma raises a child.
A mother brags on how smart her child is.

A momma teaches a child how to live.
A mother gives her child a way.

A momma sets her child free.
A mother tells her child she loves him or her.

A momma shows her child that he or she is loved.
Now that you know the difference which one are you; a mother or a momma?

Introducing... Me!

I am the woman who was the girl who thought she was alone.
The same girl that pretended to be the life of our group to stay on top.
The girl who was everyone's friend even though I did not like myself very much.

I was the girl who thought that love only came in one form.
So I used it to my advantage and ended up scorned.
I was the girl that found herself in trouble too deep to be fished out.
I was the girl who grew up too fast with no way out.

I had to grow, so that I might learn to be the mother I needed to be.
I was the girl who was a child-mother with only my own mother there for me.
The girl who was afraid to pout who had to be always brave.
The girl who felt as if I never got but only gave.
I was the girl who made all her own choices and stood up to take responsibility.
I was the girl who told the world how dare you judge her because of me.

Now I am the woman who, will fight the very devil for my childrens lives.
I fought him for two of my babies and won, my fourth in God's arms lay.
I am the woman who will stand up and shout for what I believe.
The woman who learned the hard way there is no reprieve.

I am the woman who finally learned how to love herself.
And in doing so found true love at last.
I am the woman who is the life of the party now.
The woman that has few real friends, but they matter more then they did then.

I am the woman who can cry and know it will be alright.
I am the woman who can say,
I am beautiful today.

If not for one woman who was there to help show me how.
I would not be the woman standing here now.
My Mother is the woman in me who I long to be.
My Mother is the woman I emmulate and hope my girls will come to be like.
She is stronger then Breast Cancer. Stronger then Divorce.
Stronger then all the trials I put her through.
If she were not here today what would I do?

A Bouncy Baby

Mary has a little lamb and,
Mary has a little child;
But, there is no father to this child.

She played around with the boys in her land and,
They all slept with her in the name of lust;
So, she now has a child without a husband.

Of her bruises and her words and her notes,
You can't hide from the truth when it hits you!
For she is now a mother with a bouncy baby boy and,
I am now floating in timeless order to reach out to her.

She was once my student and,
I taught hwer how to count, read and write;
But her echoes through the wind made her another person,
And she's now a mother to a bouncy baby boy.

When my mother was dying in the hospital, he thought, when she knew her end was coming, it was not me she looked to but someone who stood behind me: her mother or the ghost of her mother. To me she was a woman but to herself she was still a child calling to her mother to hold her hand and help her. And her own mother, in the secret life we do not see, was a child too. Boadicea (Mother's touch) Ft Rekha Mandegere

At one late night
Behind the wall
Through the window
Where all life pull the blanket
Except one sleepless at night
The aid of moonlight
The shadow reveal secret,
A women stand hugging a child
Crying because the bites of cold night
Or maybe a nightmare played in the dark

She sat and kissed,
deliver warmest hug
Her calming sounds
Tunes move from her lips
Whispering a soulful lullaby
Original song composed by heart

'Lovely star, I tell the world
What a precious gift is mine
Nothing can match with its golden shine'
Close the eyes, tiny one
Swayed by the secure
The child fall asleep again

The child always love
And be loved forever
When the world turn down
She comes with her palm on our face
'Sweet child, make the world smiles
A lovely pole star, my twinkled bright'

'Standing at the height of the sky
Above all the hills and dales
It’s nature of law, none can forgo
Thunderstorms will come and go'
Oh Lord, you stop my worry
Her wisdom make life sound easy

Her words Her love
Carry anywhere
with love affair
Her cry Her strength
Birthing love to life
Feeding little with care

She carrying you in heart
Respect her whole heart

A mother in anywhere
Hold a responsibility from Him
Embracing child as He sent
Beautiful life circulate fairly treat
A child, anyone, everywhere
Hold a responsibility from Him
Respect her, care and love

Till one day
Could be a day
In one silent night,
The child comes near
Whispering dear to ears
A kiss upon her silver hair
to sing familiar tunes flare

'Lovely Ma, I share to the world
What a precious gift is mine
Nothing can match with her golden shine'
Time will reveal for a child
See her smile listening her cradle song back to her :)
