Soul Receives From Soul
Soul receives from soul that knowledge,
therefore not by book nor from tongue.
If knowledge of mysteries come after
emptiness of mind, that is illumination of heart.

Sonnet: On Knowledge
Knowledge is one thing priceless, people want;
Knowledge is something gained by labor long;
Knowledge is infinite; master, you-can't;
Knowledge is changeable, much like a song.
Knowledge is deeper than the oceans deep;
Knowledge is larger than the Universe;
Knowledge is barely in life, just a peep;
Knowledge if badly used becomes God's curse.
Knowledge remains undiminished, tho' you- share;
Knowledge gives man, a civilised outlook;
Knowledge if improper, you ought to pare;
Knowledge is gained from Nature and by book.
Knowledge can make a man a wiser one;
Knowledge gives Wisdom in the longer run.

The Supreme Soul
In awakeness,
I was there,
My mind was there,
My body was there,
In my dreams,
I was there,
My mind was there,
But my body was lost.
In my deep sleep,
I was there,
But I lost the mind,
So do I lost my body.
In my state beyond,
In the depth of my sleep,
I never sleep,
Nor did I awake,
It was a state,
Of no movement,
No dreams,
And no thinking!
I was without knowledge,
But I was the knowledge,
I was the illumination,
Of the supreme soul,
With whom I parted
On my birth.
I lost my memory,
Of my parent soul
But for the active
Five senses
Of my body,
The gift of the supreme soul!
I attained him,
When I lost the senses,
When I lost the earthly bond
When I lost the turbulations,
Of the earthly passions!
In union with him
The supreme soul
I lost my self,
And my soul,
Melted and immersed
With the supreme soul!

Love is the garment of knowledge. The soul first trains itself by systematic unknowing until at last it confronts the only reality, the only knowledge, God manifest in itself. The soul can say nothing about this
experience in the sense of defining it. It can only reveal it to others.

Aurobindo 109 Savitri Book 7
An appreciation on Savitri-
Book Seven: The Book of Yoga
Canto Five: The Finding of the Soul
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's
'Onward she passed seeking the soul's mystic cave.
At first she stepped into a night of God.
The light was quenched that helps the labouring world,
The power that struggles and stumbles in our life; '
'All knowledge failed and the Idea's forms
And Wisdom screened in awe her lowly head
Feeling a Truth too great for thought or speech,
Formless, ineffable, for ever the same.'
'In a simple purity of emptiness
Her mind knelt down before the unknowable.'
'There was no strength in her, no pride of force; '
'A sacred darkness brooded now within,
The world was a deep darkness great and nude.'
'In endless Time her soul reached a wide end,
The spaceless Vast became her spirit's place.
At last a change approached, the emptiness broke;
A wave rippled within, the world had stirred;
Once more her inner self became her space.
'She recognised in her prophetic mind
The imperishable lustre of that sky,
The tremulous sweetness of that happy air
And, covered from mind's view and life's approach,
The mystic cavern in the sacred hill
And knew the dwelling of her secret soul.'
'Across the threshold's sleep she entered in
And found herself amid great figures of gods
Conscious in stone and living without breath,
Watching with fixed regard the soul of man,
Executive figures of the cosmic self,
World-symbols of immutable potency......
............My consciousness this moment,
O'Guru, I'm in awe....in invincible heights
Ineffable Thee embellishing poetic creation
My inquisitive apprehension, erring Thee may opine
May thereso, let Savitri in my self arise
Aroused thereso be knowledge and fortune

If You Want To Learn…
If you want to learn theory
Talk with a theoretician
This way is oral
If you want to learn a craft
Practice
Learning comes through the hands
If you want austerity, physical poverty
Emptiness, befriend corruption
Practice and talk about such things won’t help
A Seeker receives from a knowing soul
The mystery of spiritual emptiness
May be living in the heart of a Saint
But he may not yet understand
He must wait for the openness of illumination
As if his chest were filling with Light
Do not look outside yourself
Do not ask for water from a tiny puddle
Do not walk around with an empty bucket
There is an ocean inside of you
You have access to this vast Ocean
Expand your heart
Expand your love
Ever sure
He is with you

Self-Knowledge XVII
And a man said, "Speak to us of Self-Knowledge."
And he answered, saying:
Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which you have always know in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams.
And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.
Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.

An appreciation on Savitri-
Book I The Book of Beginnings-canto-3-
The Yoga of the King: The Yoga of the Soul's Release
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's
Yoga of Aswapati-
And wisdom 'sat uncompanioned in the eternal Calm,
All-seeing, motionless, sovereign and alone'
Thoughts wanting'only a little arc of God's vast sky.'
While there, one is one's own infinity'
His centre was no more in earthly mind; '
'His soul could sail beyond thought's luminous bar;
The voice that only by speech can move the mind
Became a silent knowledge in the soul; '
'All here must learn to obey a higher law,
Our body's cells must hold the Immortal's flame.
Else would the spirit reach alone its source
Leaving a half-saved world to its dubious fate.'
And that is the truth struggling today to find its esteem...
And'even on the struggling Nature left below
Strong periods of illumination came'
'A sudden messenger''traversed' his 'soundless mind'
And 'In a brief moment caught, a little space, '
'A portion of the inexpressible Truth
Revealed by silence to the silent soul.'
The high black wall hiding superconscience, '
'A traveller between summit and abyss, '
'She joined the distant ends, the viewless deeps, '
Became a'reporter and scribe of hidden wisdom talk''
There the spark of a winning game sparkled
'The inspiring goddess entered a mortal's breast,
'And sat upon the tripod seat of mind:
All was made wide above, all lit below.'
A 'soul's release' thus 'from ignorance''
And'mind and body's first spiritual change' occurred
And the king was'Immeasurable by the common look'...
............My consciousness this moment,
O'Guru, I'm in awe....in invincible heights
Ineffable Thee embellishing poetic creation

May thereso, let Savitri in my self arise

A Good Education Need Of The Hour!
Education decides about the future life and work for all;
Education only helps to develop one’s life and work here.
Mere education is not passport to get job but it’s for life;
Mere education helps not to face life situation or crisis;
Common sense, presence of mind, general knowledge do!
For everything education is the base in the modern world;
Education is for freedom, development and fulfilment in life;
Education helps intellectual mind to acquire true knowledge.
Knowledge only can give power, freedom and satisfaction;
Knowledge of love, truth gives freedom to attain perfection.
Dharma is justice to live righteous life according to one’s nature;
Religion is to say about truth of God, dharma and culture to all;
Education is to help develop one’s capacity with apt knowledge
To express talent using ideas of knowledge in duty to do things
Beneficial to oneself, society to achieve joyful fulfilment in life!
Now education does not serve such purpose but crams knowledge
Incomplete just to do specialised jobs only for material benefits.
Complete knowledge makes link of science, literature and culture;
This could satisfy body, mind, heart and soul to achieve completion;
Love and knowledge make perfect to attain joy, peace, satisfaction!

Stuff of Disease
Through the light of learning we have certainty
That all which infests our soul is a dramatic illness
When we drink of false imitations
And false dreams.
With the very light of knowledge
There is always an inner sight
From the heart we describe and feel,
An inner longing is subjected to us
Due to the fountain of knowledge.
When knowledge of certain characteristics
Comes to our awareness, we are not deceived.
We are revering it and purifying,
So that the fraction of character is learnt,
And thus the stuff of disease is expelled.

Eyes Telling Multiple Mysteries (part three of Certain Knowledge Know)
His face is old now old and weathered by time
battered by elements mishaps the odd hand,
a face telling intriguing many layered stories.
A face evoking long lived life distinguishing
in every timeworn, etched evolving wrinkle,
slight change in profile, etched characteristic;
events marking bloody birth of numerous nations,
monumental decisions, progressive undercurrents.
With eyes telling multiple mysteries
they have suffered, been and seen,
knowing well amoral human heart
its vulgarities, depths of perversity.
Eyes looking through heart soul
stripping naked concealed secrets, at mere glance,
eyes that hold yet cannot be met,
knowing; demanding eyes, undeniably piercing.
Eyes leaving you speechless, breathless,
burning with resilient defiant fire,
though indisputably kind; infinitely gentle,
forgiving normal human shortcomings.
His face was a face even gods
would look upon, twice at in wonder,
when blessed ethereal light shone,
upon his mesmerizing countenance.
Oh how countless years faded,
restored life, regenerated vitality,
upon him swiftly spiritually bloomed;
while still seen, even more clearly,
great age, knowledge skillfully chiseled;
into those unmistakable ravaged features.

Heart And Minf Fight
My mind says,
Stay in the room
My heart says,
See the universe
My mind says,
She has only a body
My heart says,
She has a beautiful soul
My mind says,
Get the degree
My heart says,
Get the knowledge
My mind says,
Kill the neighbor
My heart says,
Love the neighbor
My mind says,
Plunder the entire world
My heart says,
Give to the world
My mind says,
God is not here
My heart says,
God is here
My mind says,
Rule on the earth
My heart says,
Live equal on the earth
My mind says,
Invent new weapons
My heart says,
Keep the peace
My mind says,
He is a small man
My heart says,
He is a big man
My mind says
He is ignorant
My heart says,
He is wise
My mind says,
Live for money
My heart says,
Live in love
My mind says,
He heart you
My heart says,
Forget his mistake
My mind says,
Don’t agree with his opinion
My heart says,
I respect his opinion
My mind says,
You are great poet
My heart says,
You are nothing

Wise beyond her years
With eyes that know the world
Mature before she's grown
And pushed out into the world
She's an old soul
With old world knowledge
Profound speech
Without ever attending college
Pushed before she was ready
Yet she didn't let herself fall
Out in the big bad world before she new it all
Beforehand knowledge
That could not be obtained
By regular real world practices
They are not the same
She's an old soul
With old thoughts
and fresh looks
Men stare
She doesn't care
She knows there all crooks
She's seen the ups and downs
Like all through a previous life
She's an old soul
Just living with more than half the strife

Sister of my Soul
I have known her since birth
the sister of my soul
she carries my soul
forever in her heart
She was young and sweet
then learnt the knowledge of life
was lost for awhile
but found love syblime
I cradle her still
with in loving arms
my sister, my friend
My soul sister at heart
Dont cry little one

I hold you dear

Self Is Grand Mother Of All!
Knowledge is mother of fear,
minion of mother,
Understands what is fear,
Knowledge of pain,
Knowledge of failure,
knowledge of action and reaction
and when grown up,
becomes minion of fears!
Soul in the growing body,
knowledge becomes mother of fear,
May be pain of a fall,
Or a bite of ants or wasps,
knowledge of things around us is mother of fear!
Knowledge of own capabilities and inabilities,
Knowledge of bondage and faults,
Old age and death,
knowledge of pain
strain,
failure or insult,
knowledge of fall is mother of all fears!
Body, mind and intelligence,
When glows with knowledge of world,
Every thought and action,
Orbits around unknown fear,
Spinning or rotating around axis of fear,
its cute pet name is carefullness!
Paradoxically,
Fear is mother of all Knowledge,
Fear of fall,
Makes one carefull on walk,
Fear of consequences,
Makes one to think right,
act right or walk straight,
Fear is mother of all Knowledge,
Takes one above the plane,
or takes one to man of knowledge,
Make one polite and flexible,
fear of death makes one to think of eternal,
Fear of law, may be law of land,
Law of divine or law of nature is mother of knowledge,
Everyone is comes with lesson,
Either to teach or to learn,
Every fear of consequences is mother of all Knowledge divine!
Fear of flaws of own,
or flaws in human laws is mother of all Knowledge!
The best teacher never preach,
But teach to clean the knowledge that is mother of fear,
Tears off the veil of fears,
Lit the lamp of knowledge of fearlessness,
light the dark corners,
Fear of sin or reasons for the fall,
Replaced by knowledge of courage,
Expert is that captain of ship,
Drive to safe still water,
Anchore safe,
the ship swinging in storm of fear
Is safely anchored in knowledge free of fears!
Or fills with knowledge of fearless Self,
can pierce the balloon of fear,
Make one
Work well, live well and behave well!
And fear becomes a trait,
Knowledge is mother of fear,
Knowledge of old age,
Weakness of old age,
Or may be of body and mind at growing stage!
Experience of adverse
gives rise to knowledge that is mother of fears!
But experience of love and compassion,
Fear of fall is good companion,
Teaches discipline and restraint
Make one daring and caring,
Someday one will understand the paradox,
'Knowledge is mother of fears,
Fear is mother of all knowledge,
God is father, and Self is Grand mother of all! ! !

The Knowledge
Insight to what's going on
Information keeps us strong
What you don't know can hurt you bad
Take it from me you'll be walkin around sad
Cryin for a better day
Until you educate for a better way
So if you wanna be in control
Ya gotta get yourself in the know
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Spreading vise don't believe the hype
You don't find the knowledge in a pipe
Too many lives go up in smoke
It's nice to laugh but don't be the joke
To get over get better
Try to be the possessor
Of the one thing we all need in life
To succeed take my advice
Get the knowledge
That you really want
The knowledge
Do you really want
It's the knowledge
What you really want
The knowledge
That you really want
Prejudice No!
Ignorance No!
Bigotry No!
Illiteracy No!
Listen it's up to everyone
If we're gonna change the way the world is run
The way to start is to rid the children of
Prejudice and ignorance
We've gotta teach our kids to read and write
That's the only way to win this fight for life
Education is the goal so
If you wanna be in the know
Get the knowledge
It's the one thing we all need in life

A Few Words on Money
Money can’t make you happy –
But it can sure help
Money can’t buy love
But good imitations exist;
Not necessarily Chinese
But if that’s what you’re into –
Man can’t live without Love
But many of us would settle for some money
Money sells – just ask the gangsta rappers
Who throw it up like confetti
Or the televangelists
Who rake it in by the basketful.
Talk is cheap –
Unless you’re the aforementioned rapper
Or preacher –
In which case, the inverse is true;
’Cause they cash in on that money
Who talk of little else.
There’s an emptiness inside –
In your heart, your soul, your mind…
An unfilled void…
You’ve tried everything, searched everywhere
Maybe the filler is
Knowledge, or Love, or God –
You could spend a lifetime looking for it
But then again,
You could just stuff it full of some money
And be content with that…
If I can’t buy peace
I’ll buy me some earplugs
To block out the screams of my soul.

Canto III The Glory and the Fall of Life
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's
'There were realms where Knowledge joined creative Power
In her high home and made her all his own: '
'She gave to mind's calm pace the motor's speed,
To thinking a need to live what the soul saw,
To living an impetus to know and see.
His splendour grasped her, her puissance to him clung; '
That beauty of wisdom entangling her He
His wisdom of beauty in her ilk shaped up...
'A flaming thunder, a creator flash,
His victor Light rode on her deathless Force;
A centaur's mighty gallop bore the god.'
Proud should be of Hayagreeva or wisdom-God
Bharat borne upon a mighty spirit
'Life throned with mind, a double majesty.'
'Life was an eternity of rapture's moods:
All applicable to a 'was' only....isn't it...
'Ideas were luminous comrades of the soul;
Mind played with speech, cast javelins of thought,
But needed not these instruments' toil to know;
Knowledge was Nature's pastime like the rest.'
Otherwise 'creation and destruction'was its routine..
'Investitured with the fresh heart's bright ray,
An early God-instinct's child inheritors, '
'steeped existence in their youth of soul.'
'There freedom was sole rule and highest law.'
'In fields of grandeur and of titan power,
Life played at ease with her immense desires.'
But'A dire duality is our way to be.'
So'Man dared and thought and met with his soul the world.'
Atlast'A dim and dreadful muteness fell on' Earth...

Sonnet: Knowledge
Deny thee Knowledge never in this world,
Which is something better than even gold;
He is a fool, who knowledge never gains,
Remaining so forever if he feigns.
Knowledge makes a human very wise,
Scholarly, good in demeanor and nice;
Knowledge helps man to know the universe,
And goads him earn more wealth to fill purse.
Knowledge makes a man more cultured in life,
Gives him the courage to overcome strife;
Knowledge takes him near to the Maker;
Man knows God’s love for His beloved creature.
Gaining knowledge is a must in this world,
And helps him always till he is too old!

Tender Heart (Puzzle Pieces Of Me)
Tender Heart.
Bashful Heart.
Healing Heart.
Sensitive Heart.
Intelligent mind.
Compassionate mind.
Compulsive mind.
Cognizant mind.
Curious soul.
Weary soul.
Passionate soul.
'I-still-feel-like-I'm-6-years-old' soul.
Heart.
mind.
soul.
Puzzle pieces of me.
Sometimes jumbled and
messy
and
sometimes neat and
refined.
But all are still me.
Some pieces
just seem
a little more
socially acceptable,
perhaps.
