I thank God for giving you to me
Two hearts entwine sealed in a golden cage
Loving, as we have never loved before
Sharing our good times and bad times
Enduring trials, enjoying one another
Singing songs that bind us together
And praising God, for there is no other
We are committed to love forever
For better or for worse
For richer or poorer
We don't have treasures to keep
We only have each other to give
As we continue to surrender our lives to the Almighty
Praying that we will grow old together
Even in another time, in another place

A toast to two hearts who 25yrs ago
Started a hard journey together to grow
Love filled two hearts with gentle joy
Giving them many things to enjoy
Through sun, rain or stormy weather
Warm bright love kept them together
Love shone on throughout the years

Together they fought the trials of life
So today still stand as husband and wife

Loveknots
In the community of this website
like a girdle round the earth
(did you read that, Will?) ,
sharing the inner lives,
the hearts laid open in poetry,
I see that love
brings insecurity,
and disillusion (where there was illusion) ,
and bitterness at love that's not returned
or worse, withdrawn,
and sometimes hate,
distrust,
withdrawal from love perhaps the worst
and is there any remedy?
only a small crumb of communal solace
and a curious technological discovery (thanks to our webmaster) :
that 'my' poem quoting a friend:
'What you think you lack - give that..'
(because by giving, you find you have it
and can never lose it, lack it)
has had 100 times more hits than any other poem of mine.

Thank You For The Music Dad
You went ahead
To welcome Mom in your arms
Forever holding hands together
In a permanent place you called home
Remembering you made my tears rolling
You are a good provider, our strength
Our teacher, friend and defender
You wanted to fill our home
with laughter and songs
you always smile, hear our cries
you cover us with your mantle of love
you never disciplined us with your stick
you taught us how to listen, not to be judgmental
to love and to be sensitive

Graduation From A Love Poem
perhaps it is true
too much love can kill
in love poems too
got much
and now reading another love poem
gives me goose bumps
sometimes i think
making the love poem
and another love poem simply shows
your having not loved much
and your being not loved in return
love more and even if unrequited love some more
get up from a loving fall
cure that bruise
mend that broken heart
love still even when the world has learned the art of
indifference and hate more than any other
takes time to learn to do this
to know that love is giving and giving and giving
and then
after years of this kind of loving and giving
you will experience what i had gone through
now the love poem doesn't tickle anymore
nature does
the waves of the sea caressed by the hands of twilight
the moon nesting on the marsh
the grasses all wet with dew

This a special day
many have gone
lots more to come
special moments, eventful times
memories of the years that past
from the first we met, I knew
there would not be any like you
to change my world, spark my life
create amazing adventures
survived the bad times
struggles, fights, make ups
seeing your smile and sparkling eyes
still melt me after all these years

I really miss you on this special day
I know you will call to greet me today
“Happy Anniversary” that’s all we can say
Yes, I am lonely ‘cause you’re so far away

Seems like only yesterday when we took our vows
We said “I do” as tears were on my eyes

Please Don't Stop Loving Me When I'm Old
Our love rose with the fall of golden leaves
rough winter roots for gentle plants in spring.
It seems we were planted in earth, grew together,
and blossomed together.
When I pass, place a rose petal on my grave.
Sweet love is born out of souls; outside winds whistles;
stars and moon twinkles…All God’s handmaids.
In obedient to my heart, I entrust me to you.
Now, let’s continue on down lover’s lane,
