Red Roses
Red, red roses I remember you
The smell you have is not so new
I thought I'd keep it forever with me
But you shed your petals that none could see
You left me just like a thorn on a stem
But I have the memories of you my friend.

The One With A Silver Thorn (By Mimi C Mata)
With insubordinate step;
You go looking onward
across your pastures...
Where restless roses
lay their heads.
You see that she is no other
than the rose
with a silver thorn.
You know the one
that frightens you,
when you wish to gather
her magnificence
in your hands...
velvet petals; trembling
rolling off to shiver
in other distances...
Submerging her fragrant fragments
in one of the cold lakes
that drown her merciless dreams
for a voice.
You ponder:
and have lost the peripheral
vision in dire quest
for another soul to touch...
And you ask,
Have I fallen in love
with the one with a silver thorn?
And suddenly your darkness pauses
As all the stars shut their eyes...
Every so often blinking
in thoughtful precaution
for the blinded steps that you make,
Towards the one with a silver thorn...
They are silent
they have no answer
they do not know
they do not understand...
Forget their gestures
of leaving you...
For a single thought
twilights a profound desire
for the drowning muddled fate
that beckons...
She awaits;
the one with the silver thorn...
'Forget about the blood sacrificed
for her soul has already died'...
The stars say...
So you jump with unsteady feet
into the mysterious cold lake
to save the one whose stem
your heart wishes to clench...
The one with the silver thorn
Suddenly your darkness pauses
and all the stars shut their eyes
no longer blinking...
They have left you,
They are silent
they have no answer
they do not know
they do not understand...
How your heart wishes to clench
with desire with love
the stem of the one...
With the silver thorn.
Always Remember, Never Forget
I will always remember
I will never forget
How forever
Can be ended in one minute
I will always remember
I will never forget
How people lay down their lives
All for the freedoms i get
I will always remember
I will never forget
How love can last forever
And only memories can be left
I will always remember
I will never forget
All the memories that are left

A highly valuable chain of thoughts
HAD cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
No man would be a funker
Of whin, or burn, or bunker.
There were no need for mashies,
The turf would ne'er be torn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn,
The big trout would not ever
Escape into the river.
No gut the salmon smashes
Would leave us all forlorn,
Had cigarettes no ashes,
And roses ne'er a thorn.
But 'tis an unideal
Sad world in which we're born,
And things will 'go contrairy'
With Martin and with Mary:
And every day the real
Comes bleakly in with morn,
And cigarettes have ashes,
And every rose a thorn.

Rose Petals
Rose petals are so soft to touch,
rose petalsfragrance is so divine to smell,
rose petals are like lovely lips which smile,
rose petals are given to lady love,
rose petals are spread on bed of newly bride,
rose petals are life of butterflies,
rose petals are used for beauty baths,
rpse petals are offered on the lotus feet of god,
rose petals are placed on grave of dear ones,
rose petals are offered in river ganga for departed soul,
rose petals are showered on newly weds,
rose petals are decorated on festive days,
roses are given as a promise for everlasting love.

Memories
I have nothing but memories of you and I,
I once cried out for you, once shed blood for you,
It didn’t bother or cared enough for you to see how much I truly cared for you,
When I go to the mall I have memories of how we first met,
When I enter the movies I have memories of you and I hold hands and watching a movie,
When I go to a certain spot I have memories of how you and I first kissed,
But this is nothing but memories of you,
When I sit out in the cold,
I told myself I won’t fall for you,
Yet I did,
I have fallen,
Fallen for you,
Everywhere I go I have fond memories of you,
Memories that just won’t fade away,
Memories that can not be erased,
Memories I shall forever keep,
The memories of you will help me out,
Memories of you will teach me a lesson,
A lesson I won’t forget,
The memories that you and I once shared will forever be locked away.

A Single Daisy
One day I encountered;
A single daisy with snowy
White petals splayed proudly
Was standing in a sea of dandelions
Although taunted and tormented she did not falter
Unafraid, to be a different shape ‘n color
With a clear voice inside my head,
she spoke to me;
“Take me from this place of angst ‘n suffering”
For this;
I’ll answer any question you may ask”
I thought for a moment and blurted;
Does she really love me?
“Indeed she does dear friend,
Ask for her hand in marriage
You’ll both know joy, without end”
“Now quickly tear me from this dust,
Toss my stem and petals to the wind
Shed salty tears of pity, if you must
Free at last I’ll be, lest you rescind”
Reaching down, at last freed from hell I
Scattered her soft petals to the breeze
Her voice inside my head said
“Farewell”
I was content to know, her will was appeased
These days, for every daisy encountered,
I smile, and pause to listen for a voice

~ My Hidden Stem ~
I give you my rose, yet you see it so beautiful all around, the petals so blooming and so lovely, but look at the stem which is my stem, the green root of nevergazing attractivness, that which is hidden, that which is the real and genuine beauty, my nights of eternal desire lie within the stem, but you only see the outside beauty of the painted red petals, the power, the force, the passion, the fountain that spring forth the lifted rose, is found on my stem. For beauty can be easily found, but sheer beauty is not, and you must find me and travel as deep, as lenthly and beyond.

Memories
Memories of good times
Memories of bad times
Memories of our love
So many memories
Memories of us crying
Memories of us laughing
Memories of our commitment
So many memories
Memories of us hugging
Memories of us kissing
Memories of those late nights
So many memories
Memories of how we met
Memories of how you left
Memories of what you said
So many memories
Why did you leave me
with so many memories
Did you ever realize
that my memories are yours
Everything we did together
stays within our memories
I remember getting hurt
Do you hurt too
Let's make a new memory
that we can both share
Let's love again
in our memories

A moment missed
Remember when I asked you out?
And how you shed a tear.
Remember how I told you.
That I'd stay for all those years.
Remember our first kiss?
Under a moonlit sky.
Remember the fireworks.
That shone in your eyes.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember all the promises?
That we never seemed to keep.
Remember all the times.
I held you when you'd weep.
Remember all the walks we took?
On the beach at midnight.
Remember when we were perfect?
And everything felt right.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember that rose I sent you?
For our schools winter dance.
Remember when we broke up?
And I begged for a second chance.
Remember when you got pregant.
And I stayed right by your side.
Remember how I bought that ring?
And took your hand in mine.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember when I became a dad?
And held my baby girl.
Remember how we fought for names.
And ended up with Pearl.
Remember her first birthday?
And that pretty teddy bear.
Remember her old blankie?
That she carried everywhere.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember how you left me?
With not a word goodbye.
Remember how you took her?
And left me there to die.
Remember all those years?
That you spent far away.
Remember our dying love?
That was ment to always stay.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember the years after?
When you became a whore.
Remember how you took off?
And walked through that same door.
Remember when you got drunk?
And they took our Pearl away.
Remember how I took the fall.
Even though you were too blame.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember how you changed?
And forgot what use to be.
Remember how you hit her?
When our girl had just turned three.
Remember all those moments?
That we thought would last forever.
Remember all our memories?
That we had shared together.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.
Remember when you lost your future?
And chose to slice your wrists.
Remember the note you sent me?
Saying please remember this.
Today it's three years later.
And our baby's turning five.
Today she has no mommy.
Because you chose to die.
A smeared kiss.
A moment missed.

Co - Existence of The Good And Evil, ... Metamorphosis ...
a flower cannot be
without its sepal and
petals
the leaves grow
around and below
the stem pushes
it straight and
through
a thorn co-exists
a caterpillar
climbs
and soon as expected
a butterfly
hovers looking for
the nectars

A Fancy bundle of Roses
laid in tears bundle with roses in the wrist line
with hands goggle for wither petals of lovely Roses
scramble feeling settle my knee of dense pain as
the heart, shout tremendously of anguish of nothing
left as I am today
role the pages of time and catch the running
stream for a drink, as the eyes watch the
thundering voice of delightful cry and dearly behold
that death will come to say and depart not to stay
in me, I am still have the pain
Roses are for free, nurturing thorn, bleeds
the trembling hand for that fancy, could be the last
request of my faithful heart, and leave me not my
heart, for only in you I stay and lay my true love
spread the tears of lasting perfume and sprinkle
the fancy Roses of droplets of heart, bundle with
genuine appeal, and turn the lasting friendship
into a window of splendid smell aroma of love,
the climax of my essence stay
propel the scented moist, lovingly gallops my Heart
and Soul ….

Memories Of Love
A warm summer night
The moon above us
The stars for a wish come true
Are memories of love
A motionless pound
A beautiful swan
The smell of flowers growing near
Make me shed a tear
Memories of love gone by
Make me stop and cry
Now I kneel and pray
For the lord took her today
And all thats left to think of
Are memories of her love

Lost
Uh!
Why cant I decide why my feelings I hide?
Always screwing with my mind, a thorn in my spine.
Oh sure, it feels fine, wasting all our time.
In the back of my mind, a thorn in my spine.
Wait! see it before my eyes.
Why? do I turn away?
Looking all the time, at your face so blind.
Feeling uptight, always the same fight.
Hey man now decide, go ahead take your time.
Kissing all the time, that thorn in my spine.
Wait! you cannot see inside
Why! play yourself out that way
Why! you and me always hate
Wait! werent you my friend?
The pain in which I could not feel!
Hey man look inside, now you need your own life.
Remember me guy? that thorn in your spine.
Waiting all the time, Im doing mighty fine.
Remember me guy? the thorn in your spine.
Wait! you cannot see inside.
Why? play yourself out that way
Why? you and me always hate
Wait! werent you my friend
Wait! you were my friend.

It Was Good Then
I go back to my childhood
And images come flying at me
These water color memories
That have faded to a certain extent
With the passage of time
Fade no more
But become no brighter.
I remember things in
Sunshine yellows
And frosty blues
Minty greens
And lavender hues.
I remember smells.
Is it even possible to remember
Smell?
But, I swear I do.
Days had their own smell
Skin had its own smell
Sticky with sweat
From playing outside at high noon.
The grass, flowers, and air
Were scented.
By some far away perfume
Carried from place to place.
I remember the feel of grass
Between my bare toes.
I remember laughter.
I remember the gnarled trunk of
A tree under my hands and
Shoeless feet
When I climbed all the way to the top
And was not afraid to look or
Climb down.
I remember being a gypsy child
Going from place to place
Town to town
Without fear.
I remember making friends
I remember innocence..
I remember
Security,
Something I have forgotten since.
I remember
Childhood
Water color memories.

The Rose
In my hand I held the rose
As I would a woman dear,
Within my fingers I held it tight
As I wished it would not disappear.
From the touch, sight and beauty that I knew,
When the kiss of beauty, once had blew.
I held the rose as I would a love
As I had held in memory and thought,
And then the rose I could not let go
For the same as a lover, she became my soul.
The stem became the body and the petals became the skin,
Then I held her lightly, within the wind.
The rose held me, as I had held her
The two of us had become one
Then the act of God had prevailed that day
For he commanded the wind to take the rose away.
And towards the heavens She had flew,
As though to join the love that I once had knew.
In my hand there laid a thorn
Though to remind me of the sting of death,
So upon the Earth, I then laid the thorn
So love of life could again be reborn.
I buried the thorn as you would a dream,
Knowing never again, will it be seen.

The Four Roses
Four sisters sitting in one house,
I said, these roses on a stem
With bosoms bare. But wayfaring
I went and ravished one of them.
So one was taken. But the three,
They spread their petals just the same,
They turned no decent pale for grief,
They drew no fragrance back for shame.
The canker is on roses too!
I cried, and lifted up the rod
And scourged them bleeding to the ground.
All, all are sinners unto God.

Small Station
I still remember the letter you sent to me
It told the words that I needed
I thought those promises will stay forever
I thought I finally found my one
But I can’t recognize you now
Do you still the same guy who whispers me love
And you still the same one who kisses goodbye
Or it’s only the world that changes so fast
Left me with naive dream when it’s actually over
I have hurt once when you came to my life
You gave me the sun when I thought it was rain
I thought my wound has been closed
I thought at last I finally got the right way
But I was fooled again
Could it be the same guy who gives me roses
And it the same guy who throws those thorns
Or it’s only the world I hardly realize
That feeling is the ghost that coldly disappear

What Will You Do Then?
Do you remember the day,
When you said we would be friends forever?
Do you remember the day,
When you said no one could never replace me, ever?
Do you remember the day,
When you said you would always be by my side?
Do you remember the day,
When you left me, and I cried?
Do you remember the day,
When you became popular, and left me behind?
Do you remember the day,
When I pretended I didn't mind?
Do you remember the day,
When YOU got left behind?
Do you remember the day,
When you couldn't see straight, you were blind?
Do you remember the day,
When I guided you through it all?
Do you remember the day,
When I helped you so you wouldn't fall?
Do you remember the day,
When you turned on me once again?
Can you fortell the day,
When you will fall, again, what will you do then?
