Where Would I Be...?
One day, long, long ago, I dreamt a most beauteous dream!
Though aspiration I know it was, veridical it still doth seem!
Though this be not the part that is most awe-inspiring;
That is reserved for this beauty I am now still admiring!
No departure may be made betwixt reality and semblance,
This verity is the call of my heart, as proof-my adamance!
Nary could one doubt the veracity of such emotions,
Immune to the passage of time, the largest of oceans;
Ne'er to weaken nor wither, nor surely to wane-
Any thought of such, my heart shall ne'er entertain!
What was once but a beauteous dream, now so much more-
I now make consort with the 'dream' I do so much, adore!
That which inspires true awe, may ne'er be torn asunder-
Where would I be if my world were without this wonder?

Long Distance Lover
(robert rosenberg, pauline lee)
Then you call me long distance from memphis
When they said it was you on the line
I said dont come tomorrow
Cause I wont be here
Youd only be wasting your time
Ive been your long distance lover
For far too long
But Im not here to tell you
Whos right or whos wrong
But I know I once loved you
But somehow it seems
That its all a part of a dream
So dont call me again in the morning
Cause I wont be changing my mind
And the phone will be ringing in my empty room
I aint leaving nothing behind
Ive been your long distance lover
For far too long
The nights are so lonely
Cant keep holding on
And the miles are like mountains
That hide you from me
And its all a part of a dream
Ive been your long distance lover
For far too long
Cant hold on to feelings
When youre so long gone
It all keeps on a changing
And now it just means
That its all a part of a dream

I, Once, Dreamt a Dream
I, once, dreamt a dream that dreamers oft dream
Of loving and living a lovely life
A house, my children and a caring wife
I, once, dreamt a dream that dreamers oft dream
Oh, how I long to dream that dream again
Where hope solemnly sought for nothing more
Than to find her standing there, at my door
Oh, how I long to dream that dream again
How do dreams die... Do they ever revive
How does one learn to trust the coming day
When the past keeps trust an arms length away
How do dreams die... Do they ever revive
I, once, dreamt a dream that dreamers oft dream
Oh, how it seemed closer than dreams oft seem
I lived a dream once upon a daydream
We'd walk slowly through the park holding hands
Speaking so sweetly and making our plans
I lived a dream once upon a daydream
I lived a love once when a love loved me
I knew her in ways that only I knew
I was the first among her chosen few
I lived a love once when a love loved me
In one heartbeat she chose a diff'rent path
Oh, how could she leave without one last kiss
I often wonder if love still exists
In one heartbeat she chose a diff'rent path
I lived a dream once upon a daydream
Oh, how it seemed closer than dreams oft seem

The Mix-Up
One winter morning
Upon awakening from a long night sleep
All characters got mixed up with their authors
Including Pinocchio
Who could not decide what was real:
Had he dreamt of being Carlo Collodi
Or was it that Carlo Collodi was dreaming
Of being Pinocchio?
This occurred long after
Upon awakening from a long night sleep
Zhuang Zi woke up from his dream
And was at a loss to figure out
How real was real and asked:
Had he dreamt of being a butterfly
Or was it rather that a butterfly
Was dreaming of being Zhuang Zi?
The next day
As she woke up from a long night sleep
An elephant got mixed up with a crocodile
And she could not decide what was real:
Had she dreamt of being a crocodile
Or was it rather that a crocodile
Was dreaming of being an elephant?
Two years later
Upon awakening from a long night sleep
The moon became confused with the sun
And it could not decide what was real:
Had it dreamt of being the sun
Or was it that the sun was dreaming
Of being the moon?
And in a rare unguarded state of mind
Upon awakening from a long night sleep
God got embarrassed for the muddle
But she could not decide what was real:
Had she dreamt of being Man
Or was it rather that Man
Was dreaming of being God?

In Midnight Sleep
IN midnight sleep, of many a face of anguish,
Of the look at first of the mortally wounded--of that indescribable
look;
Of the dead on their backs, with arms extended wide,
I dream, I dream, I dream.
Of scenes of nature, fields and mountains;
Of skies, so beauteous after a storm--and at night the moon so
unearthly bright,
Shining sweetly, shining down, where we dig the trenches and gather
the heaps,
I dream, I dream, I dream.
Long, long have they pass'd--faces and trenches and fields;
Where through the carnage I moved with a callous composure--or away
from the fallen,
Onward I sped at the time--But now of their forms at night,
I dream, I dream, I dream. 10

My Dream
This is my dream,
It is my own dream,
I dreamt it.
I dreamt that my hair was kempt.
Then I dreamt that my true love unkempt it.

Inspiration Dream
At night
When I am asleep
I dream so many things
That are inspiring
I dream of poverty ending
I dream of everyone finding work
I dream of becoming an accomplished writer
These are just a few of my inspiring dreams
I dream during storms
I dream during the day
I dream in gardens
I dream daily and nightly
Dreams are like stars
They appear and disappear
Each and every day
And everyone rich and poor
Famous and not famous
Have their own dreams
That they want to achieve
So go after your dreams
And let them inspire you

Perchance to dream for friend thad
I dreamt or maybe dreamt I dreamt.
A lucid dream I could control,
in which I thought I would attempt
to contact my immortal soul.
I moved up to a higher plane.
Which I accomplished easily.
I thought perhaps that I could gain.
Some knowledge relevant to me.
I met myself and face to face
we could converse quite naturally.
Discussed the trials I must face
This seemed quite logical to me.
Was it a dream? I can’t be sure
I only know it seemed to be.
Somehow it served to reassure
me that all is as it ought to be.
Was it a dream or possibly
an altered state of consciousness.
A different reality
It could be either one I guess.
What does it matter anyway.
A dream may have reality
which we perceive a different way.
When viewed imaginatively.
Imagination is the key
which opens portals we can pass
in spirit form so easily
But must return too soon alas.
I dreamt or maybe dreamt I dreamt
a lucid dream I could control.
Perchance I failed in my attempt.
Not ready yet to be made whole.

A Long Time Gone
Seems like forever and time left to spare
When I look out the window
And still youre not there
Youre a long time gone
Such a long time gone
Tearing down memories bitter and sweet
Smashing away til its all obsolete
Youre a long time gone, long time gone
Such a long time gone, long time gone
Youre a long time gone
Do I wonder why
Every day that i
Think about you still
And I always will
Did so much for me
Now I think I see
This I do believe
Feels more like a dream
Looked at the weeds in the broken concrete
Before the bulldozers waltzed in and killed the old street
Youre a long time gone, long time gone
Such a long time gone, long time gone
Door steps that shone in a bright summer sky
Lay shattered and wasted since our last goodbye
Youre a long time gone, long time gone
Such a long time gone, long time gone
Youre a long time gone
Do I wonder why
Every day that i
Think about you still
And I always will
Youre a long time gone
Did so much for me
Now I think I see
This I do believe
Feels more like a dream
Youre a long time gone
Do I wonder why
Youre a long time gone
You never did
I never said goodbye
Youre a long time gone

Dreams of You
Baby....at night
I dream about
you...
I dreamt that you
and I took a long
walk...along the
beach...
You and I were
laughing...
Whispering in each other’s
ears...
You kissing me...
A nice long kiss...
My dreams of you
were wild and crazy....
But so are we.....
Crazy in love.

Butterfly Dreams
The dreams of my heart
my mind doth pass
In my dream of butterflys
for they hug me
without sound
Nothing stays with me to long
In my dream of butterflys
they lift me from this ground
But I have had from
since as a child
In my dream of butterflys
they so still my mind
The deep solace of song
In my dream of butterflys
they flutter for there posied.
In my dream of butterflys
my daughter now is four
If that should ever leave me
In my dream of butterflys
such delight my eyes
forever roam
Let me find life and stay
In my dream of butterflys
soft weaved wings
they always have
With wings whose tunes
are played out and not
forgotten
In my dream of butterflys
linen is does my neice now lay.
Like the rain of yesterday
rainbow weaved it is
thus so
In my dream of butterflys
heavens light doth shine
so true.
In my dream of butterflys
no cut nor sting
for all will sing
for the beauty with
out flowers no dream.

Thank You
Thank you, for your adoration, and for acceptance of that which I have for you;
Remember-I have no choice, but for to love you is what I have to do!
I trust that you know well, my sentiment-
Words are no longer needed, though compliment
My heart's silent, soul-inspiring symphony;
We together, are far more, than alone we
Could ever hope to be-I know this
Because, I have dreamt of same and they show this!
Thank you, for being both my reality and my aspiration-
For serving as a role model, heroine, and inspiration.
My divinely-inspired somniation shall meet with verity-
As time wends, the prophesy of my ardor's faith, meets more, with clarity.
The more I know, the more I want to know:
Wherever our future may lead, this is surely where I want to go!

What Would You Do?
Oh my
Where do I start
I know
How about
The part about
Me thinking that I love you
That you are my dream come true
That the thought of you
Puts a big smile on my face
And so much love in my heart
So much joy in my soul
I so long
To talk to you
All I do is dream of you
You are my knight
I so long to be with you
I am so into you
I want you to see me
To know me
It's so sad
That you don't have a clue
About how I feel about you
What would you do
How would you feel
Would you think that
I am weird
Oh well
I wiill continue to long
For the day
That I will be able to say
I love you
I treasure you
Oh when will the time be right
That we can unite
I will wait as long as it takes
For the day
That you are my baby
That you are mine
It will happen in time!

My Heavenly Dream
Oh! sleeping is an endless pleasure,
Which is an unlimited leisure,
I dream about the fairies,
Who fly above the valleys,
I dream about the cool breeze,
Which is surely a tension ease,
I dream about the candies and the toffees,
Which are shaped like cherries,
I dream of the ocean,
Which is like soft thread that is woven,
I dream about the chocolates,
Which are admired by the pirates,
I dream about the endless pleasures,
That have no effects of tortures,
I dream of shimmering, glass palaces,
That have existed there for ages,
I dream of lush gardens filled with gold and ruby,
They are surely very thorny,
I dream of cute little babies,
Who have very heafty bodies,
There are many dreams that I have dreamt,
But this is the best one that I have ever dreamt........

Then There Were None
Though it be
That life be short
In the eyes of history
In the eyes of the human race
It be long
Prosperous
Inspiring
Which one is correct?
History is incorruptible
From truth
And we live knowing
That at any moment
our long
prosperous
inspiring
could end
The human race be stagnant
persistent
We all end
But as we focus
On the moment comforts
That protect what we want now
Not the things that
Made us
Will end us

The Cold Part
So long to this cold, cold part of the world
So long to this bone-bleached part of the world
So long to this salt-soaked part of the world
I stepped down as president of antarctica
Cant blame me
Dont blame me
So long to this sad, sad part of the world
So long

Incompetence our best defence! !
I dreamt a dream wherein I dreamt,
I dreamt a dream of deep content.
But all the while I knew I dreamt.
I tried to wake but my attempt.
My mind just treated with contempt.
Am I the dreamer or the dream
I can’t be wholly confident.
That it is not some experiment.
Conducted without my consent.
To monitor the dreams I’ve dreamt
to analyse my dreams content.
By some arm of the government
Whose only purpose and intent
Is sadly all too evident.
Establishing a precedent.
By which they hope they can prevent
expression of our discontent.
They should not be too complacent.
Because they are incompetent
and grossly overconfident.
We’ll find a way to circumvent
their wish to be omnipotent.
We have to win this argument
and then provide due punishment.
For those found guilty of intent
to use this foul experiment.
Which demonstrates the full extent
of methods used by government.
The things they do clandestinely
Because they dare not openly.
admit to seeking thought control.
Because they know that heads would roll.
We have the right to privacy.
There is no way that they should be.
poking and prying in our mind
just to see if they can find.
another way they can repress
the freedoms that we should possess.
The dream I dreamt may yet come true
I can’t be sure no more can you.

Take The Long Way Home
So you think youre a romeo
Playing a part in a picture-show
Take the long way home
Take the long way home
Cos youre the joke of the neighborhood
Why should you care if youre feeling good
Take the long way home
Take the long way home
But there are times that you feel youre part of the scenery
All the greenery is comin down, boy
And then your wife seems to think youre part of the
Furniture oh, its peculiar, she used to be so nice.
When lonely days turn to lonely nights
You take a trip to the city lights
And take the long way home
Take the long way home
You never see what you want to see
Forever playing to the gallery
You take the long way home
Take the long way home
And when youre up on the stage, its so unbelievable,
Unforgettable, how they adore you,
But then your wife seems to think youre losing your sanity,
Oh, calamity, is there no way out?
Does it feel that you lifes become a catastrophe?
Oh, it has to be for you to grow, boy.
When you look through the years and see what you could
Have been oh, what might have been,
If youd had more time.
So, when the day comes to settle down,
Whos to blame if youre not around?
You took the long way home
You took the long way home...........

Long hair is considered bohemian, which may be why I grew it, but I keep it long because I love the way it feels, part cloak, part fan, part mane, part security blanket.
