They Call Him Gale

To quote the man himself, upon his retirement:
'When I walked off the field, I knew it was over, and I never looked back.'
It was surely his body, it was not that his desire went!
'God said: 'Gale, it is time to do something else' '-only He could sack
Such talent prematurely-games numbering only 68;
Speed, power, and grace that none other could hope to imitate.
The youngest player ever inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame-
At the tender age of 34-it was incontrivertible, Gale had game!

'It was a gift, and trust me it was easy. So easy I can't explain it.'
Obvious too was the inescapable conclusion that none could contain it.
They called him The Icon, or simply, Brian's best friend.
He was both a talent and a presence, with which few may contend.
His talents were such that all inevitably draw compare-
No answer presented, but to stop and humbly stare!

American Storm

Words and music by bob seger
Headin out on some uncharted path
You soon turn back
It happens time and time again
You never seem to reach the end
Someones out there on the street tonight
When things go wrong
Hell guarantee to make them right
If the price is right
Every time I look youre fallin fallin
Beaten by the wind
Every time I turn around hes there again
Its like a full force gale
An american storm
Youre buried far beneath a mountain of cold
And you never get warm
Its like a wall of mirrors
You charge 'em at full speed
You cover up - you hear the shattering glass
But you never bleed
You never feel the need
Everybody casts a certain light
A special gift
Its theirs to use for wrong or right
When you face the night
More and more we choose the easy way
We take no risks
We figure out which games to play
And how to make em pay
Suddenly the pressures fallin fallin
Skies have all turned grey
Suddenly the storm is heading straight your way
Its like a full force gale
Atop a mountain of cold
You tell your story again and again
And it never gets old
Its like a wall of mirrors
You charge em at full speed
You cover up - you hear the shattering glass
But you never bleed
You face a full force gale
An american storm
Youre buried beneath a mountain of cold
And you never get warm - no you never get warm
You face a wall of mirrors
You charge em at full speed
You cover up - you hear the shattering glass
But you never bleed
You never feel the need

When Remembered For What It Is And Missed

Knowing the business of one's talent helps,
After establishing a recognition.
It is not the fact that one gains attention,
That a gift is remembered when it is presented.
It is the timelessness of content.
And one's ability to perceive,
From where that talent comes...
To one who has received it from a birth given.

To acknowledge a tree and admire its leaves,
To then disregard its roots...
Is a foolish position one should never take.

People become curious when one's talent is exposed.
But only those who are about the genuineness,
Of their talents from a business sense...
Continue to work on it all their lives.
And the growth and blooming of it shows to others,
Who enjoy the taste of it over and over again.
Since the quality of it never diminishes,
When remembered for what it is and missed.

And a true talent that is,
Never becomes subjected to standards lowered...
By those who excel,
In limited beliefs...
That a game pf playing a battle of wits,
Is part of it!
It isn't.
Not in this genre!

Prelude

No one can stop me know
I'm like a human dynamo
Live wired and chargin' out with power
This time I won't hold back
I'm rarin' to get up and go
Fuelled up and growin' by the hour
Look out
I'm blastin' through the lines
Alive and kickin'
Watch out
I'm young and lethal
I'm goin' from here until eternity
I'm feelin' reckless
Way outa hand, a real survivor
Reckless
Comin' at gale force ten
Around me I feel the shock waves,
Building for the energy
A force field no one can break through
Solid as rock no wonder
I am indestructible
First placed in everything I do
Look out
I'm blastin' through the lines
Alive and kickin'
Watch out
I'm young and lethal
I'm goin' from here until eternity
I'm feelin' reckless
Way outa hand, a real survivor
Reckless
Comin' at gale force ten
Radioactive
I'm shootin' through the atmosphere
Takin' off
I'm headin' like a rocket through the stratosphere.
Look out
I'm blastin' through the lines
Alive and kickin'
Watch out
I'm young and lethal
I'm goin' from here until eternity
I'm feelin' reckless
Way outa hand, a real survivor
Reckless
Comin' at gale force ten
I'm feelin' reckless
Way outa hand, a real survivor
Reckless
Comin' at gale force
Comin' at gale force ten
I'm feelin' reckless
Way outa hand, a real survivor
Reckless
Comin' at gale force
Comin' at gale force ten

Tomorrow's Gift

Believe me, it is far from your enduring charms
That beguile me this or any other day-it warms
My heart to believe that you may have cause to smile
Upon though of me, though we are seperated by many a mile!
It is alteration I find in myself, with you considerate;
Perhaps until now, I failed to consider it
As a factor in favor of a consortium betwixt our souls,
Yet, with time to aid me, my heart furter extols
Virtues, and finds more beauty I had not seen before!
Tomorrow's gift is that there is always more about you, to adore!

Sikerly, I possess more to appreciate about myself, because of you,
And would not have same if it were not so easy to love you,
As I do, indeed, as I have, and as I surely will-
You are a perpetual gift; I owe recompense for same surely still!

The plane is simply abstracting the power stored in the wave by a distant gale, and using it to counteract gravity. And if the work be continued long enough, or a multitude of planes be continually drawing on the reservoir of power, the wave must inevitably be flattened.

Alone, In Ponderance...

Alone, in ponderance of where my life will be,
I see only 2 things for certain: both you and me!
I know not about anything else in this life, uncertain-
You're the only one who sees through my heart's curtain!

Though you are not near to me, I feel your presence;
I draw great strength from the power of your pleasance!
Our's was a meeting made in the Heavens above,
God could envision, when we could not, our perfect love!
By the time that we meet again, my beloved friend,
We will have built upon a love, without an end!

No matter of poetry, nor any power of prose, shall ever suffice-
To define the beauty who beguiled my heart-not once, but twice!

Word is not needed, my love for thee does so obviate,
Such is the awe-inspiring emotion in me you do evocate!

Thank You (For My Sister, Virginia Kinney)

Thank you so very much, for all that you have done;
I knew that I could trust you, that you could be the one;
You are my Sister, yet you have become another Mother-
I knew that I could rely upon you, more than any other!

A lot has been asked of you, and you did not fail-
I know that it has taken much, yet, your time you did avail.

I know too, the position you have been put into is precarious,
Yet still, the roles that you have played-many and various!

I am so sorry all of this happened to us;
Yet, because of same, we have garnered even more trust.

Soon, I shall be far enough away,
So that you too do not have to live in fear every day;
Soon, the burden I present shall be gone-
And everyone may finally begin to move on!

Eulogy For Michael Jackson

All of the glory, all of the fame
everybody knew his name.
But they did not know what made him tick.
And they did not know how it made him sick.
Inside the body that housed his soul
were shades of darkness that accompanied his role.
The vibrancy and talent of all he could do
was a gift that only comes to a few.
But the gift must be nourished and never abused
or it turns into a curse that becomes misused
by all of the parasitic leeches who prey
on a talent like Michael's every single day.

And in the final words that are said
He, my friends was already dead.
Dead in his spirit, dead in his mind
only alive in those who could find
the rarity of talent that captured their heart,
the oneness with God that flowed through his art.
What they will remember is what they did see.
What they'll forget is 'Who was he? '
A tortured soul
who's now at rest.

Without Ration (A Mother's Love)

Somedays you will know me-some you won't;
Some days you seem 'yourself', some you don't;
Be not afeared though Mother, I know who you are:
No matter of time or space, no matter how much or how far,
Could ever cause me to draw from you, distance;
Life is far too precious, so I shan't miss this chance
To let you know how very special you are to me,
Whether you should be very near, or very far, from me!
Your love for me has always been without ration-
I may only attempt recompense in the very same fashion;
You have taught me well: love, respect, honor, and compassion;
My only hope is that, contrariwise, it was also to your satisfaction.
Words are hollow, I speak so much louder, with action-
Since your's is the measure, I hope to have returned you, a fraction!

Hidden Talent

Written by gerry beckley, 1998
Found on human nature.
Just like a person from another world
My eyes can see inside you, little girl
I see things that you dont want to see
I see things youre trying to hide from me
Im just trying to make you understand
All the ways you can affect this man
From the moment that you came in touch
With the power there to burn so much
Youve got hidden talent (yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
You know your past is whats been bugging you
If youre ready girl ... do what you gotta do
Look for your life between the lines
Bad directions and poor designs
Youve got hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Check it out you ... got it, hidden talent, oh
With the advantage of perspective i
See theres more to you than meets the eye
But now the time must come to spread your wings and fly
Yeah (hidden talent) yeah
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Check it out ... you got it, hidden talent, oh
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
Affair without warning
Hidden talent, mmm (mmm)
Hidden talent (hidden talent, yeah)
I bet youre gonna find some hidden talent, oh

There are two kinds of talents, man-made talent and God-given talent. With man-made talent you have to work very hard. With God-given talent, you just touch it up once in a while.

My Choice, Will Heaven Complain?

If heaven will complain
I don't know,
Endowed so much i am.

My many talents and outfits
Passions me in confusion
Stirring me to see as destiny.
But talent i know is not destiny
Talent, gift of nature nurtured by environ
Destiny, gift of nature nurtured by divinity.
Hands can thwart talent, but
The tick tack of clock even stop
Can't thwart destiny
No matter the weather.
It is inborn, you, yourself, yoursoul.

I don't care if family complain
For my choice,
But i don't know
If heaven will complain.

Truth Is Friend To Freedom; Deceit Walks With Corruption

That seen by only one; naught is it what she falsely believes-
So too, not more believable is that which she conceives!
Figmentation of fear, fibs, falsity and fantasy;
The truth emerges quickly, all else-allowed to see!

Incontrivertible truth emits power beyond belief-
All that which opposes such, surely needing of relief!
Ne'er to allow any doubt, nor alteration of reasons;
Even ever if the ethereal winds pass with the seasons!

Truth is friend to freedom; deceit walks with corruption;
Lies and fallacy may corrupt for a time-merely truth's interruption!
Then there is corruptor, on the side of fear and deceit:
They then are sent scurrying-in rapid retreat!

Alas, I bid good tidings still to thee;
Ever do you reside always-within me!

This Heaven

Had I not believed in Heaven, I simply must now;
You may be lead to query: 'This may be, yet how? '
Whensoever I may have occasion, to gaze in to your eyes,
I can see Heaven, I have no means to feign, nor disguise!

I yearn to see this Heaven, every solitary night;
I long to be humbly within your gracious sight!
If only my heart had words, oh, what it would recite-
A sweet song of my elation, my soul's delight!

Mine whole life, I have awaited to be in your embrace;
I stand now in inspired awe, at your amazing grace!

My jollity knows not bound, nor cease, I would submit!
Your love hath more power than word could admit!

But for now, this Heaven only exists when I dream,
Then I awaken to my reality, though real it did seem!
