Lie Not, Thine Heart Or Soul, Dormant

Tell me, my beloved, do thoughts after we first consorted
Yet again, mirror in any way, those before! ? !
Are you now ever more at ease-comforted
By the fact that you serendipitously opened the door
Unto a marriage, betwixt our hearts-as too, our souls mate! ? !
Now, just our minds need comport, more nearly!
We need not affix a certain deadline, by date-
Yet, must delineate our wants and needs, more clearly.

I want not, to be a party to any fear or fright,
Merely, do I desire, night after lonely night,
For thee to lend me further adorement;
Lie not, thine heart or soul, dormant-
Allow their 'eruption', toward me:
Recompense my love with your own, to reward me!

I Am The Most Beloved Of My Beloved

Though you are not now with me, thoughts abound, as remind-
You are the one thing that they did not steal, nor could I, leave behind:
My heart was left with thee, to guard from further harm-
To be kept in the loving solace of your soul-inspiring charm!

I may possess naught, yet I have everything I need:
You are the call of my heart, and I simply must heed!

Though there exists many queries lain insatiate,
All the answers are there already, for the love He did create.
As today's night gives way to the dawn of the morrow,
Love, felicity, and truth, supplant doubt and sorrow.

Though we are now in quite disparate place, this I know,
Our hearts, minds, and souls exist together, as time shall show;
Should you still feel dubiety's pull, repeat after me:
'I am the most beloved of my beloved', then I shall repeat, after thee!

A Love Secret

Love has its secrets, joy has its revealings.
How shall I speak of that which love has hid?
If my beloved shall return to greet me,
Deeds shall be done for her none ever did.

My beloved loved me. How shall I reveal it?
We were alone that morning in the street.
She looked down at the ground, and blushed, and trembled.
She stopped me with her eyes when these did meet.

``What wouldst thou, sweet one? What wouldst thou with sorrow,
Thou, the new morning star with me, the night?
What are those flowers thou holdest to thy bosom?
What are the thoughts thou hidest from my sight?''

``Thine are these flowers,'' she said, ``these foolish roses,
And thine the thoughts, if thus it be thy will.
I hold them close for fear that thou shouldst mock me,
I hold them to my heart for fear of ill.''

``Nay, what of ill? 'Tis only age is evil,
Only forgetfulness and grief and pain;
What dost thou know of grief, that thou shouldst fear it?
Mine is the grief who cannot love again.''

She raised her eyes, she looked at me in wonder,
``The ache is here,'' she said, ``by night and day;
I cannot teach my heart to bear its burden,
I cannot turn my silence from its way.''

``Speak to me, child. I am thy wise physician,
A man acquainted with all grief can teach;
There is no sorrow but has joy for sister,
No silence but finds counterpart in speech.''

My beloved laughed. She saw through my dissembling;
She held to me her hand, that I might kiss,
The inside of her hand. 'Twas like a petal
Of her own roses, but more dear than this.

I felt its pulses, like a bird in prison;
``Sweet child,'' I said, ``what wouldst thou I should prove?
I cannot make thee wiser than thy wisdom,
Who knowest all things since thou knowest love.''

How shall I tell it? How shall I reveal it?
I led her by the hand, as thus I said,
Back from the street to where it stood, my dwelling,
And closed the door on where it stood, my bed.

Her laughter stopped. ``Nay, use not thou unkindly.
Thine is the hand to deal or spare the blame;
I dare not be to thee thus uninvited,
Thou dost not know me, hast not learned my name.''

How shall I tell it? How shall I reveal it?
Love in that instant found its latest birth,
``Soul of my soul,'' I cried, ``thy name is Pleasure,
The sweetest thing to love on this sad Earth.''

I held her in my arms, I pressed her fastly.
``Ah, if thou lovedst me indeed,'' she cried.
``I love thee, and I love thee,'' was my answer,
``My sister, my beloved one, my bride!''

Love has its secrets. Joy has its revealings.
I speak of this which love in vain has hid;
If my beloved shall return to greet me,
Deeds shall be done for her none ever did.

Awaiting Thee

When thou art gone;
I sing my lonely song.

When thou art gone;
My waking hours are filled only with thoughts of thee.
When I sleep,
My dreams are filled with thee-
As I long for thee.

My love;
I await thee-
Lonely day,
After lonely day.
Lonely night,
After lonely night.

When The sun shines bright,
And the songbirds sing their joyous chorus-
It reminds me of this love of ours-
As I long for thee.

I await thee,
My love-
Throughout the lonely day-
Till the setting sun dwindles in dusk’s twilight-
Beyond golden pastures-
Fading in the night.
My love;
I long for thee.

My love;
I await thee-
Throughout the lonely night,
As the crickets chirp their symphony,
And in the darkness,
Like floating candles,
The fireflies glow.

And I remember our love,
As I gaze at the silver moon,
And diamond stars.
Forever embracing this love of ours.

As I sleep at night,
I dream only of being with thee,
My love.

As I awake,
And the sun rises at dawn over the emerald mountain tops,
I await thee,
My love.

Longing for you-
Day through day,
Night through night-
I await thee,
My love.

My love;
When thou art gone;
I sing my lonely song…

Good-Night

THE lark is silent in his nest,
The breeze is sighing in its flight,
Sleep, Love, and peaceful be thy rest.
Good-night, my love, good-night, good-night.
Sweet dreams' attend thee in thy sleep,
To soothe thy rest till morning's light,
And angels round thee vigil keep.
Good-night, my love, good-night, good-night.
Sleep well, my love, on night's dark breast,
And ease thy soul with slumber bright;
Be joy but thine and I am blest.
Good-night, my love, good-night, good-night.

A Sonnet

Flattering Hope, away and leave me,
She'll not come, thou dost deceive me;
Hark the cock crows, th' envious light
Chides away the silent night;
Yet she comes not, oh ! how I tire
Betwixt cold fear and hot desire.

Here alone enforced to tarry
While the tedious minutes marry,
And get hours, those days and years,
Which I count with sighs and fears
Yet she comes not, oh! how I tire
Betwixt cold fear and hot desire.

Restless thoughts a while remove
Unto the bosom of my love,
Let her languish in my pain,
Fear and hope, and fear again;
Then let her tell me, in love's fire,
What torment's like unto desire?

Endless wishing, tedious longing,
Hopes and fears together thronging;
Rich in dreams, yet poor in waking,
Let her be in such a taking:
Then let her tell me in love's fire,
What torment's like unto desire?

Come then, Love, prevent day's eyeing,
My desire would fain be dying:
Smother me with breathless kisses,
Let me dream no more of blisses;
But tell me, which is in Love's fire
Best, to enjoy, or to desire?

Dear Miss Lonely Hearts- Lynott

Dear miss lonely hearts
I had to write this letter
To tell you how i came to meet her
She was sweet but i dated her sister
That's how i made my mistake
And i can't forget her
I felt depressed
Till a friend of mine suggested
That i write to this address
So unless you can find a cure
For my loneliness
It will persist, it will persist
Lonely boy
Looking for another
Lonely girl
To love one another
Lonely hearts
Turn to each other
Lonely souls
Lonely souls
Dear lonely boy
I doubt if my reply
Will bring much joy
It seems from your letter that you lied
Or strongly implied
That you were satisfied
To take her sister by your side
I became distressed
At your total lack of tactfulness
So at best
All i can suggest
Is that you resist
And you put an end
To such thoughts of silliness
Lonely boy
Looking for another
Lonely girl
To love one another
Lonely hearts
Turn to each other
Lonely souls
Lonely souls
Dear miss lonely hearts
I've got problems
You're the only one i know that can solve them
I love a girl but i'm dating her sister
And if i persist in my pursuit i will kiss her
Dear lonely girl
I doubt if this reply will bring much joy
But you must not trust this boy
You must not lust this boy
Resist
And do not kiss this boy
Lonely boy
Looking for another
Lonely girl
To love one another
Lonely hearts
Turn to each other
Lonely souls
Lonely souls
Lonely boy
I'm writing
Lonely girl
Looking for a lonely girl
Lonely hearts
I'm lonely
Lonely souls
I've got problems you can solve them
Lonely girl
I'm writing to dear miss lonely hearts
For i'm a lonely soul
Yours sincerely
Lonely boy
Lonely girl
Must be attractive

A Wife's Revenge

I gained thy smile but not thy heart;
thy stares but not thy thoughts.
I share thy pillow but not my dreams;
thy touch but not thy soul.
If but my eyes could satisfy
my heart's sheer desire;
if but thy presence would be enough
I have thee but I don't.
Her shadow mocks my misery,
I love thee but I won't
let go of thee... let go of me,
I love thee but you don't.
Still I have thy name, thy ring, thy blood
her shadow as my curse
could not again be redefined
as my misery be thine...
and thine agony be hers.

Lonely

If thine soul feels loneliness,
Thou art not perfectly understood
As thou soul wishes
If thine soul does not feel
The human word
It feels loneliness's hollow cry
If thine soul wearies of human love
It always has loneliness to watch thy love die
If thine soul speaks to deaf ears
Then the loneliest, most remote ears in the world, hear with melancholy
If thine soul has no hand to hold
Then loneliness walks by thy side and holds thee
If thou fear to die alone, alone with loneliness you will die
If thou fear the dark when alone, loneliness hides in the dark
Afraid with thee.
As mine tears fell
Into God's empty well
And to his lonely cell
Loneliness heard and spoke though me…

Hearts Desire

I seek to find your hearts desire,
So I may set your soul on fire.
Lonely days once filled with sorrow,
The flame of love lights up tomorrow.

Burned into my soul by passions fire,
There is no other heart I dare desire.
I bring my love to quench your thirst,
I'll feed your need and put you first.

So drink of me in angels glow,
Then all my secrets you shall know.
And share with me your hearts desire,
Then we shall set this night on fire...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Should You Yearn, I Yearn Too!

The ocean wants for the shore-the shore, its destination;
Flowers want for the Sun and rain, which aid in their formation;
Birds want for the sky-the sky, home to their freedom, complete;
I want for thee, with nary a thought of my heart's retreat!

The long, dark night, longs for the bright dawn of a new day;
Winter-weary fauna long for the rebirth of Spring's sway;
The human soul longs for its mate-its solitary compeer-
Every night lacking mine, I long for thee to be ever more near!

Blurred now have been the lines betwixt your's and mine-
Where before I had concerns of my own, now they meet with thine!
Your wants are now wants of my own-thee, I assure;
I spare not imagination in my emotion-you though, demure!
Your longings have now another champion-they are now my concern too-
Your needs are now needs of my own-should you yearn, I yearn too!

Patience

Patience-for your thoughts to comport
With that felt in my heart, its exhort!
For forbearance, He shall grant reward:
The one that I have always truly adored!

Perhaps I have waited my life entire,
For the love my mirth doth require!
Perchance, my love has come again-
To allow my felicity to finally reign!

Resistance to this gift, I shall not proffer-
My fragile heart, I shall not coffer!
Defiance, merely a lesson in futility,
I am simply without this ability!

Whence prime, here I await thee-
Our hearts foretell their own glory!

A World Of Other-worldly Wonder

Dear Heavenly Father: 'Please get me to California, as soon as You may,
So that I may dwell in enamored embrace of my beloved, every single day;
Sikerly, I need not, espouse the import of same, nor cause Thee remind,
As, Thine Divine Benevolence is causal same-Thou art far too kind! '

To which, He made reply: 'Thine eternity awaits thee in the Golden State,
My privity to same is demonstrative of Mine Divine Benevolence, to create
For thee and thine beloved, a world of other-worldly wonder, that shall inspire awe
In all who may be so fortuitous, as to see now, as a reality, what I saw
As a most magical, yet, mysterious marriage, of two most inspired souls,
Whose very existence-now brought together by Mine Hand, extols
The very virtues I have espoused to my beloved children, throughout the ages;
And, this is why I have introduced you to one another, in e'er-sublte stages:
Your consortium is the most obvious and lasting form of my love for each-
'Never, never take the same for granted', if but one appeal I would beseech!

Across The Void

In this darkness of solitude-
My heart weeps a sorrowful song-
Into the night-
To the lonely moon,
In a starless,
Black sky-
As in the Winter wind,
I hear your voice gently whisper to me,
Of our love...
And the very thought of thee,
My love;
Warms my soul...
And dreary,
Lonely hours pass-
Like a single,
Sluggish grain of sand in an hourglass-
As if the bottom must be full,
Like a Saharan sand-dune-
'Fore I can embrace thee again...
As I long for thee,
My love-
And I ache for thee,
My love-
From across this void of solitude..
Its as if night transcends day,
Till I can unite with thee again-
Only then shall the sunshine return-
To quell this lonely,
Perpetual night;
My love...

My Hands Thine Girdle

My hands thine girdle I clasp thee tight
And embrace you with my soul's might
Swaying in my hands, dallying in thy mist
In starry night with calm air admist
Dancing to our moving stillness
We move the earth, O my goodness!
My hands, thine girdle
I feel thine fertile

You Lit The Fire

When you came to my life
the eternal snow of my solitude
melted in my soul,
formed rivers to fecundate the life,

My love was a dormant volcano
crowned by the long cold of my nostalgia
it was the quiet night, it was the night without echo,
it was the same sadness cohabiting with the solitude.

Then you arrived and lit the fire,
you gave heat to my soul and flavor to my life
then you arrived and moved away the loneliness
and banished sadness.

your love is a volcano in eruption
my love was an extinguished volcano
but the lavas of your heart flooded my being
and lit my soul!

In Thee I Trust

Thee has created me with love,
To love.
Thou has forgiven my sins
As vast as the ocean
My only true love
In Thee I depend
For waking each morn’
My daily sustanance
To Thee I pray
Ever so humble and thankful
For my every blessing received
I kneel to Thee

Thee sent Rumi in my dreams
To show me the way
The narrow ledge I am to cross
He showed me how
Swifty without fear
Of what lies below
He showed me how to fly inThine Mercy
And truly “yaqeen” in Thee
My beloved creator
Who knows the depth of my heart

To Thee
I leave all my affairs
My every thought,
Am consumed by Thee
My heart echoes Thy name
My life in Thine hands
In Thee lies my destiny
To Thee I yearn to return
Pure of heart and soul...
