The heart what value is that
When none care to accept it
It is left to grow old, unruly
Un-nurtured and less social
An awkward graceless entity
Stranger to many things
Stranger still to others
What value is now placed
On this unfamiliar creation

I still remember what I saw last night
Three small kids stealing money from a poor man
Now that aint right - no that aint right
Im still thinking bout the things I heard
Poor old man - he was frightened and afraid of every word
- and its all so absurd

This heart within me I can feel, and I judge that it exists. This world I can touch, and I likewise judge that it exists. There ends all my knowledge, and the rest is construction. For if I try to seize this self of which I feel sure, if I try to define and to summarize it, it is nothing but water slipping through my fingers.
