he just lay there staring
through the cracks in the gate
which locked him out
kept him at a safe distance
biding his time watching
waiting for any opportunity
to strike, sink in his teeth
tear at the flesh of thought
he stalked in the shadows
cold blooded and cruel
eyes lifeless, loveless

knowing he'd never win

Old Fires
The fire burns low
Where it has burned ages ago,
Sinks and sighs
As it has done to a hundred eyes
Staring, staring
At the last cold smokeless glow.
Here men sat
Lonely and watched the golden grate
Turn at length black;
Heard the cooling iron crack:
Shadows, shadows,

Sometime Soon
Watching the world turn. Watching it spin. Oh baby where do i begin. Another night without sleep. It my conscious getting to me. I like to say sorry but i just don't know how. I would if i could, but i know what it would mean. Bringing back my demons. In the living fresh. A nightmare of my own mess. I confess it has been difficult. But still we must march are separate ways. We are each others enemy. Cause to much pain, to ride together in a personal airplane. Provide the evidence that your through. And maybe i ll write you. My tabby cat is rather fond
of watching Koi carp in the pond
She sits and watches quietly
a picture of serenity
What thought go through her feline mind
what great ambitions lie behind
those slitted eyes of amber hue
The evil schemes she would pursue.
She’s well aware I’m watching her.
Regards me with a knowing stare.
What would she do If I should leave.
She’d learn to swim I do believe
Across the pond I stretch a net
