To The Right Hon. The Earl of Orrery, On His Promise To Sup With The Author.
Tho' the Muse had deny'd me so often before,
I ventur'd this Day to invoke her once more.
She ask'd what I wanted; I said, with Delight,
Your Lordship had promis'd to sup here To--night;
That on an Occasion so much to my Honour,
I hop'd she'd excuse me for calling upon her.
To this she reply'd, with Disdain in her Looks:
If that be the Case, go summon your Cooks.
I told her in Answer, How little you eat;
That in vain I should hope to regale you with Meat;
That she knew, Wit and Humour to you were a Feast,
Who had, tho' no Stomach, an excellent Taste.
This calm'd her Resentment; she paus'd for a while--
Then the Goddess, propitious, reply'd with a Smile:
If with Humour and Wit you would have him delighted.
What need I be call'd?--Let the Dean be invited.
The Bus'ness is done, if with him you prevail;
For a Boyle, and a Swift, will each other regale.

Self Explanatory
Once a learned young man named John
asked a serious question, an earnest question,
with no attempt at humour, or to string me along.
And the questions were?
‘How do you write like that?
How do you find the titles? ’
The reply. ‘I think like that.’
His reply. ‘No one thinks like that.’
An answer beyond his belief system.
An answer he could not reconcile accept.
Easier to believe own belief systems
than search mind expand limited horizons.
Really was this reply
in truth so hard to accept?
‘If I do not think like that
how could I write like that? ’

Time Of No Reply
Summer was gone and the heat died down
And autumn reached for her golden crown
I looked behind as I heard a sigh
But this was the time of no reply.
The sun went down and the crowd went home
I was left by the roadside all alone
I turned to speak as they went by
But this was the time of no reply.
The time of no reply is calling me to stay
There is no hello and no goodbye
To leave there is no way.
The trees on the hill had nothing to say
They would keep their dreams till another day
So they stood and thought and wondered why
For this was the time of no reply.
Time goes by from year to year
And no one asks why I am standing here
But I have my answer as I look to the sky
This is the time of no reply.
The time of no reply is calling me to stay
There's no hello and no goodbye
To leave there is no way.

No Reply At All
Talk to me, you never talk to me.
Ooh, it seems that I can speak.
But I can hear my voice shouting out.
But theres no reply at all.
Look at me, you never look at me,
Ooh, Ive been sitting, staring, seems so long.
But youre looking through me
Like I wasnt here at all.
No reply, theres no reply at all.
Dance with me, you never dance with me.
Ooh, it seems that I can move,
Im close to you, close as I can get.
Yet theres no reply at all,
Theres no reply at all.
I get the feeling youre tryin to tell me,
Is there something that I should know?
What excuse are you tryin to sell me?
Should I be reading stop or go, I dont know.
Be with me, seems youre never here with me,
Ooh, Ive been trying to get over there.
Ah, but its out of my reach.
And theres no reply at all.
Theres no reply at all.
I get the feeling youre trying to tell me;
Is there something that I should know?
What excuse are you trying to sell me?
Should I be reading stop or go, I dont know.
Maybe deep down inside,
Im trying for no one else but me.
Too stubborn to say, the buck stops here.
Its not the one youre looking for.
But, maybe deep down inside,
Im lying to no one else but me.
Oh but my back is up.
Im on my guard - with all the exits sealed.
Listen to me, you never listen to me,
Ooh, and it seems theres no way out,
Ive been trying, but we cannot connect,
And theres no reply at all,
Theres no reply at all,
Theres no reply at all,
No reply at all.
Is anybody listening - oh oh,
No reply at all...

Question
I don't have the answer
So why ask me, why?
Why do you ask me a question
When there is no reply?
As though the answer was this?
Did you know all along?
That so much space
Is weighed down in white silence
Who told you these things?
These imagined replies?
To the unanswered question
The question why?
There is no reply
But bad weather
Rough roads
There is no reply
Leave the rain alone
There is no reply
No reply
No answer to why
Leave the question alone
No face in the sky
No key to the door
No there is nothing, but nothing
So leave nothing alone
And turn round and go home
Watch the sea from your window
The waves rise and fall
Nothing but madness
And nothing at all! !
The moon's silver crescent
No time to recall
What is left
What is deaf
What is blind
To ritual?
To sign?
There's no pattern no season
No face in the wall
No reason too reasonable
To make no sense at all!
There is no reply
To pain
Love lost
To prayer
Why ask me these questions?
When there's no answer there?

Mother; it was all a white lie
How do I look? ’ says mother just before she goes out
I reply ‘wow amazing’ mother smiles
But if only she knew it was a white lie
I would hurt her deep inside
Mother says ‘which dress looks better’
I chose red, although I didn’t like neither
Mother reply’s ‘I’m glad you like it ‘, I reply ‘like it? I love it! ’ Yes I lied I genuinely disliked it!
Mother giggles but what she doesn’t realise it’s apart of my game just not as obvious as a riddle.
Mother is on a diet and works so hard to stick to it
Mother asks me ‘have I reduced weight a little bit? ’
I reply ‘a little bit? ’ you’ve lost so much that you’re starting to look like a stick!
Mother giggles and cuddles me; see this is why I lie because I make her feel so valuable and happy!
When mother was pregnant she looked big as ever! Mother asks’ ‘do I look big? ’ I reply look big? Never! Yes I lied to make her feel better!
I wanted her to feel cool about herself just like the breeze in the Lebanese weather
Although she was awfully big, I made her feel light as a feather!
Father is home late; mother is worried, she asks me if I think he’s ok
I reply ‘of course he is’ she smiles and gives me a kiss
Although I was also afraid and wanted to ask mother the same
I kept her calm by putting on a brave face
Mother says ‘I have a surprise for you in the boot’
I opened it and bless mother; she had bought me new shoes,
Mother says ‘like the shoes? ’ I reply ‘of course I do’ but if only she knew,
I would hurt her in the count of two!

Long Distance Affair
Long distance affair, can't you hear my heart keeps calling for you
It's hard to show that I care, it's hard to tell if you want me there
I call your name, there's no reply, don't you feel the same?
Can't you hear my heart calling you?
I got love on the line but I can't get through
Sometimes love don't seem fair
Guess I was wrong, thinkin' you would always be there
I must be dreamin', I thought I had you feelin' the same
I'm callin' your name
Long distance affair, with just a spark, you stole my heart from me
No one ever compared, we'll never touch the memories
I call your name, there's no reply, don't you feel the same?
Can't you hear my heart calling you?
I got love on the line but I can't get through
Whatever your friends may say, what's it worth to you anyway
You can listen to them and throw it away, yeah
If you're thinkin' how it might have been
Don't think of me like I'm one of them
'Cause friends like that you got no one at all
There's love on the line, baby answer the call
'Cause you know that I love you, can't let go, baby can't you hear my
heart
(Solo)
I keep on calling your name, there's no reply, don't you feel the
same?
Can't you hear my heart calling you?
I got love on the line but I ain't got you
Can't you hear my heart calling you?
I got love on the line but I can't get through to you
Tell me it's true

Ven Vow
Even if one makes me to bleed
Like the blade of dangerous deed,
My belief is just laconic luck.
Sure, I'll reply with loving-kindness.
Even if one gives me big dig
With the lips of terrible trick,
My spirit is just innocent ism.
Sure, I'll reply with compassion.
Even if one boasts me to sizzle
Like the goad of beating cruel,
My moral is just excellent ecstasy.
Sure, I'll reply with prosperity.
Only if one edicts evils to grow
With dander-devils of highest score,
My soul will ignore that goon-guy.
Sure, I'll reply with equanimity mind.

To The Right Honourable John Earl Of Orrery, At Bath, After The Death Of The Late Earl.
'Tis said, for ev'ry common Grief
The Muses can afford Relief:
And, surely, on that heav'nly Train
A Boyle can never call in vain.
Then strait invoke the sacred Nine,
Nor impious slight their Gifts divine;
Dispel those Clouds, which damp your Fire;
Shew, Bath, like
The Earl's Answer,
written extempore.
Nor Bath, nor Tunbridge, can my Lays inspire;
Nor radiant Beauty make me strike the Lyre:
Far from the busy Croud I sit, forlorn;
And sigh in secret, and in Silence mourn:
Nor can my Anguish ever find an End;
I weep a Father, and have lost a Friend.
Reply to the foregoing Verses.
Why did I hope to make your Anguish less?
I try'd to cure, and I have caught, Distress.
Suppress your Sighs, dry up your Tears; 'tis Time:
Excess of Virtue may become a Crime.
You lost, you say, a Friend, and Father too;
But know, Mankind would lose a Friend in you.

What's It Gonna Be
If it was up to me
I'd say it's his decision
And maybe you should wait and see
You haven't got a choice
You gotta second guess him
So go ahead
What's it gonna be
Well you need an answer
What's it gonna be
All you get is no reply
If it was up to you
You'd say you need protection
When all you really need is me
Now that's the bottom line
It's your sincere intention
So go ahead
What's it gonna be
Well you need an answer
What's it gonna be
All you get is no reply
What's it gonna be
Well you need an answer
What's it gonna be
All you get is no reply
You've been waiting for so long
Now you say you can't go on
You can't go on

Tiger, Tiger
Tiger one to tiger two
Tiger one says I love you
Tiger two does not reply
So tiger one, he starts to cry
Tiger two says why you cry?
Tiger one says 'you did not reply'
Tiger two says I need not to
Tiger one says why?
Tiger two says i love you
Tiger one says i love you too
Tiger one says why oh why?
Why didnt you reply?
Tiger two says I love you
I don't have to say it
You know its true
Now you know the reason why
Tiger two did not reply
Tiger one realises why
Tiger two did not reply
So tiger one he starts to smile
And says tiger two is very fine
For tiger two is my dearest babe
Whome I think of everyday
And tiger two I cannot wait
To see your pretty face again
Peace! What Do Tears Avail?
PEACE! what do tears avail?
She lies all dumb and pale,
And from her eye
The spirit of lovely life is fading,
And she must die!
Why looks the lover wroth? the friend upbraiding?
Reply, reply!
Hath she not dwelt too long
’Midst pain, and grief, and wrong?
Then, why not die?
Why suffer again her doom of sorrow,
And hopeless lie?
Why nurse the trembling dream until to-morrow?
Reply, reply!
Death! Take her to thine arms,
In all her stainless charms,
And with her fly
To heavenly haunts, where, clad in brightness,
The Angels lie.
Wilt bear her there, O Death! in all her whiteness?
Reply, reply!

A Smile Makes All Smile!
Literature's duty is to make all smile and think;
Photographer says 'smile please! ' before a snap;
Facial smile creates best impression of one to all!
Cheryl love's Sunday Smiling makes me smile too
When all are out of mood and write not much now!
So, I write a poem on Smile to smile with all here!
Smile is the mark of a gentleman, they say, I know;
I always talk with a little smile with all all matters
As I am a romantic type loving humour in stories!
Clever guys and girls ever conceal matters with smile,
Accomplish missions before the culprits are aware of
As humour is the spice of life in the world of romance!
Even a dull matter said with a smile all listen and think;
Inflected by smile all smile and think forgetting woes!
Smile makes woeful heart light turning grief into joy...!

Universal joke
You can’t get really near
the Beloved Friend
who some call God
without a sense of humour;
humour; and paradox:
sadness brings humility,
humility catches God’s ear…
now you’re laughing for sheer joy.
And have you heard this one…:
you can’t take anything from this world
without the world taking something from you…
isn’t that the best joke that ever was…?
Cows, who ruminate as well as Rumi ever did
Call it the Unified Field Theory.

How? why? when?
With a presentable touch of
Embarrassment,
I've got a comatose idea that;
Luck, fate & fortune are just……..
Some li'll misprinted facts for mine.
I have never wanted
An answer to a reply, should be,
None other than a threatening for mine.
No nonce, no hostilities, no sulk…
No, they were not a package of……
Self-comet of my life.
But it was my fate and some
Cruel old methods of Mon dew.
I was in some incredible situations,
But how? Why? When?
I'm answerless too my friends
For a acceptable reply.

A Little Light
IN THE roughest of seas,
a warship wages war with a raging storm
in absent abyss of light,
First mate shouts out 'ship',
as he points to light in the night.
Warships send a signal of warning
(no response, no reply)
Warships send a signal of warning again,
but, a warship will not give way nor give in.
(no response, no reply) ,
Warship captain, at his wits limit, is very irrate.
His reply, send a signal with this warning,
'I will run you down and damn you to dark-
ness, to an eternal night of the abyss.
(a response, the reply)
Damn me? Damn me? Damn me
to eternal darkness of the abyss?
By the eternal light of my lighthouse,
run me down and you shall fly
WHEN WARSHIPS HAVE WINGS! ! !
A captain of a warship so quick to judge,
with all his weapons of war could not win a war
over a little light, Hmmmmmm
Peace.... and let your little light shine my friends

Rumour
Just because
I love his
Sense of
Humour,
There is this
Rumour,
That I'm in
Love with him ;)
Just because
He's also in love
With my humour,
Someone's
Spreading
This roaring
Rumour…
That I've now
Married him ;)
Just because
We both love
Each other's
Humour :)
There seems to be
This ongoing rumour,
That I'm now
Honeymooning him ;)

Ch 08 On Rules For Conduct In Life - Maxim 69
The earth receives showers from heaven and gives to it only dust. Every vessel exudes what it contains.
If my humour appears to thee unbecoming
Lose not thy own good humour.
Written At Camberwell, Near London, In The Study Of Mr. Wainwright
Whilst happily I pass my Hours
In Camberwell's delightful Bow'rs;
From thence the beauteous Walks survey;
Or thro' the fragrant Mazes stray;
Or o'er the Study cast my Eye,
Where Virgil, Coke, and Horace lie,
Just Emblem of a Bosom grac'd
With Law, and Elegance of Taste;
Apollo I invoke in vain,
Apollo answers with Disdain:
``Mortal, you're here allow'd to roam.
``And bid to think yourself at home:
``O'er the Domesticks then preside;
``Let that content your Female Pride;
``In vain you call on me To--day;
``Here Wainwright only I obey.
