Nothing good ever lasts...

To be able to remain just still and enjoy beauty without trying to edit it or change it; reveals the world's true beauty. I remember walking quietly once, one very hot spring morning by the railway through the wild orchards in Dogwoods, Knutsford. Resting there on a storm drain-grid, I was just catching my breath when minutes later. I saw a baby rabbit poke its head out of a rabbit hole in the brambles it was 2ft in front of me. It was then he or she was pushed outside by their sisters or brothers.
They rolled around in front me and were toy fighting till the 11.20am Chester train went on by,
The only pity for me was the train was on time, came by so fast… nothing good ever lasts.

Fast Train

Written by: myles goodwyn
I read the colors this mornin
I read the colors today
About a man who left from nowhere to be someone
And every day he has to pay in every way
I met a man from new york city
He spoke of things Ive yet to find
A good man driven from his homeland
Tryin to find some piece of mind
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train
Its a fast train

Run, Rabbit, Run

When I looked you in the eye
I knew it was time for good-bye
You were the only one I had around
But you couldnt keep your feet on the ground
Run rabbit run
But whats that youre runnin for
Run rabbit run
You aint gonna run no more
Bye bye baby, bye bye bird!
Thought the cold sidewalk stones
Broke your little brittle bones
I know you were already dead
When the truck rolled over your head
Bye bye baby, bye bye bird!
Originally by smack.

Awaken to Beauty

Sun, sparkling on water
Rainbow in sky.
Full moon, shimmering over cities,
Beauty, beauty is by.

See through the black, the grey,
To colours all around,
Brightening your world, your life;
Beauty, beauty surrounds.

The new leaves on spring trees,
Buds on daffodils.
Flowers, trees bursting with glory,
Beauty, beauty fills.

Snow covering, crystal white,
Summer, green, grass.
Each season brings new pleasures,
Beauty, beauty lasts.

Stand still awhile and see
If you can discern
The loveliness in front of you,
Beauty at every turn.

Bring happiness to your senses,
Bear gladness into you,
Take sometime for yourself,
Beauty is there; stays true.

Train

Writers: leo sayer & david courtney
Running through my life
Like a river, like a song
Train keeps pushing me
Right back to the place where I belong...
Back along the tracks
Fly a million years
Right across my path
Train moves on ringing in my ears...
Come on board
Come on board
Train, oh train, take me back, again
I remember, I remember, take me back
Train, oh train, the journey ends and starts again
I remember, I remember, I remember
Ive been up all night trying to get this down
Now Im hallucinating
Staring at the wall look what Im creating...
Look at the clock Im twelve hours old
So many more remain
Way up ahead I know I see a train...
Come on board
Come on board
Train, oh train, all those memories, all over again
I remember, I remember, take me back
Train, oh train, the journey ends and starts again
I remember, I remember, I remember
Waited on the station all day
Just to see a glimpse of the morning train
Just to see the wheels turning round
Blowing up steam,
See what I mean,
You see what I mean...

Let Us Be Friendly With Everybody!

Rabbit and Tortoise
Went for a race;

Envy villain rabbit
Threw the stone at Hero Rabbit;

Hero Rabbit's leg got broken,
Limping Rabbit couldn't run fast!

Hero Rabbit lost the match,
This is how Tortoise won the race.

Lesson is, 'Don't have enmity'
Let us be friendly with everybody!

A Beauty of Love!

I enjoy beauty of star studded night sky;
I enjoy beauty of harmonious waves of sea;
I enjoy beauty of peaceful living of people;
I enjoy beauty of natural poems of poets!

Beauty of human life I enjoy in all forms;
Beauty of fun loving children I enjoy often;
Beauty of smiling flowers I enjoy in garden;
Beauty of art work I enjoy in all forms ever!

World is full of beauty Nature bestows to all;
World is paradise due to love and beauty ever;
World is the abode of man's cultural refinement;
World is the spring board to heaven at the end!

Beauty of love is eternal for all to enjoy in life
Evolving animal into man and man into divine!

The rabbit is significant in that the handle on the original South Pointing Chariot was carved in the form of a rabbit. Because the handle extended out front it meant that wherever the rabbit went the chariot had to follow.

The Rabbit Hole

How deep does the rabbit hole go?
Too many people don't want to know.
They're afraid they might come upon
something not so nice.
Isn't it easier to just skate
over very thin ice?
No worries, no frets of any kind,
it's much more comfortable for the mind.
Don't look left. Don't look right,
just straight ahead is what's in their sight.

Now take the ones whose heads can turn,
they are the people whose minds do yearn
to see how deep the rabbit hole goes?
What they will find will surely expose

Why we are filled with insecurity?
What's at the bottom of inequality?
Why some never have prosperity?
And so much more will come to light
and these are the brave that will take up the fight
and try to fill the rabbit hole
so the complacent ones who pay the toll
might have a chance to save their soul.

Now rabbit holes are dug deeper each day
by the power that wants you to have no say.
They want control over all that you are.
They will do all they can to block the star
that shines for you on every night.
They would love to keep you away from that sight.
For then they've got you and your soul
deep in the bowels of the rabbit hole.

Freight Train Boogie / Choo Choo Ch'boogie

(GriffinHorton, Darling, Gabler)
Casey Jones was a mighty man, now he's resting in the Promised Land.
The only thing he could understand was an eight-wheel driver under his command.
He made the freight train boogie all the time.
He made the freight train boogie as he rolled down the line.
Woo woo, wah wah, woo woo, wah wah. Woo woo, wah wah, woo woo, wah wah.
He made the freight train boogie as he rolled down the line.
I'm headed for the station with my pack on my back,
I'm tired of transportation in the back of a hack.
I just love the rhythm of the clickity-clack,
I hear the whistle blowing, see the smoke from the stack.
And pal around with democratic fellas named Mac,
Take me right back to the track, Jack.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie, woo woo, woo woo ch'boogie.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie, take me right back to the track, Jack.
You reach your destination and alas and alack,
You need some compensation to get back in the black.
You take a morning paper from the top of the stack
and read the situation from the front to the back.
The only job that's open needs a man with a knack,
take me right back to the track, Jack.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie, woo woo, woo woo ch'boogie.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie, take me right back to the track, Jack.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie, woo woo, woo woo ch'boogie.
Choo choo, choo choo ch'boogie,
He made the freight train boogie as he rolled down the line.

Jacobs Ladder/this Train Revised

We are climbing
Jacobs ladder
We are climbing
Jacobs ladder
Out of these boxcars
And out of these chambers
Out of the bed where we lay
With ten strangers
We are climbing
Jacobs ladder
We are climbing
On jacob, jacobs ladder
Its a fish white belly
A lump in my throat
Razor on the wire
Skin and bone
Piss and blood
In a railroad car
One hundred people
Gypsies queers
And davids star
This train is bound for glory
This train is bound for glory
This train is bound for glory now
This train
Yeah
Measure the bones
Count the face
Pull out the teeth
Did you get them all?
Do you belong
To the human race
Doctor doctor
Are you unkind
Do you shock the monkeys
Cover our eyes
With clear blue skies
Ah
This train is bound for glory
Ah
This train is bound for glory
Ah
This train is bound for glory now
Ah ah
This train
Here is a dancer
Who has no legs
Here is a teacher
Who has no face
Here is a healer
Who has no hands
Here is a runner
Who has no feet
Here is a thinker
Who has no head
Here is a builder
Who has no back
Here is a writer
Who has no voice
These are the questions
These are the answers
Stacked like wood
This train is bound for glory
This train is bound for glory
This train is bound for glory now
This train
This train is bound for glory
This train it carried your mothers
This train is bound for glory
This train it, it carried your fathers
This train is bound for glory now
This train it, it carried your sisters
This train
This train it, it carried your brothers
(here is a teacher)
This train it, it carried my sisters
(here is a writer)
This train it, it carried my brother
(here is a thinker)
This train is
This train is bound for glory
These are the questions
Stacked like wood
These are the answers
Here is potential
And its gone for good

Freight Train

Well I just came down from Chippewa
I had a station wagon and a hundred dollars
I was thinkin' about the girl I'd lost a year before
I hadn't seen her for some time
I thought that I might go on by
When your memory came floodin' in
And you closed that door

[CHORUS:]

Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a diesel locomotive
I'd come whistlin' down your track
Crashin' in your door
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I didn't have a heart
And you'd need a shovel for the coal
Just to get me started
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a freight train

Well every time I talk to you
And I hear your jealous lies
I feel like I've been left abandoned
On some old railway side
And every time I hear your voice
My water just gets cold
My stoker will not stoke
And my boiler will not boil

[CHORUS]

Well every time I fell behind
And I could not get ahead
I wish someone would pull the lever
And give me a little sand
And every time I slip behind
Even further back
I wish some switchman would come out of the fog
And change my track

Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a diesel locomotive
I'd come whistlin' down your track
Crashin' in your door
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I didn't have a heart
And you'd need a shovel for the coal
Just to get me started
Wish I was a freight train baby
Wish I was a freight train . . .

The Rabbit And The Pretty Wild Flower

The rabbit spoke to the pretty wild flower….,
But the flower didn’t answer….,
The rabbit sniffed the pretty wild flower….,
Still no reaction…, no answer….,
Then the rabbit thought for a moment….,
And seemed to get impatient…,
The rabbit ate the pretty wild flower….,
And so goes another quiet day in the forest.

About Brother Rabbit.

Brother Rabbit and Brother Terrapin wanted to run round a tree.
They went to Brother Bear and asked him to be the referee.
He said to Brother Terrapin, “You win if you’re the first to take the stone! ”
Brother Rabbit ran and won as Brother Terrapin could only go,
He cried, “Brother Rabbit has run, but has he really won?
Look here, my stone’s on me, so I’m number one! ”

When Brother Fox and Brother Rabbit meet,
Brother Fox always tries to eat
Brother Rabbit who often thinks how
To laugh at Brother Fox. Now
Brother Rabbit said, “Have we met, Brother? Hi! ”
“Oh! I haven’t had lunch”, Brother Fox replied.
“But when we yesterday met,
You also said that.
Poor Brother Fox had no lunch,
Then have for it grass or a branch”.

Brother Rabbit’s taught Brother Wolf a lesson.
He’s done it to amuse his little son.
Now, Brother Wolf’s in a cage.
Nothing he can change.
Yesterday he ate meat in a trap,
And Brother Rabbit didn’t let
Him run out, he locked him then,
He taught him and needn’t teach again.

What's In Your Heart

True beauty is in the way she laughs
True beauty is in her eyes
True beauty is how she acts
True beauty is inside
True beauty is unseen
True beauty is only felt
True beauty is not mean
True beauty is herself
True beauty can't be cruel
True beauty is bare
True beauty lies within you
True beauty is always there
True Beauty can't be covered with makeup
True beauty means true love
True beauty can't be baked up
True beauty is the flight of a dove
True beauty has no flaws
For True beauty is all that matters after all

A Scolding

It is not something that will be fixed over night.
It took quite a bit of time for the damage to be done.
And of those of the doing so far had to face very little consequences.
A child every once in awhile he or she needs a good spanking.
And America is that child.
We allowed her to misbehave for too long.
Their is a fear that we are already to far gone.
A rabbit hole so deep.
An outlook so bleak.
But what can one do but keep trying to get through.
This country has a wall of indifference.
It slowly crumbling.
But will it fall fast enough.
We all have it tough, some worse then others.
But I look forward to the day where I can call on more people.
And I'm able say they are all my brothers.
They are all my sisters.
They are all my family.
Races, and cultures not all alike.
Stand with me as we together fight.

The Trip

Like an unripe melon
Like a conquer Magellan
Like a handy capped Helen Keller
There is a moonster in the cellar
He has been there since last November
I was once a member-
Of his palace
Until I was hit in the head with a mallet

Creeping along the halls
I have spotted the moonster in conversation with the white rabbit
Me thinks that white rabbit has a nasty habit-
Of being late
Last time they nearly locked the gate
Is his clock too slow?
Or is telling time his foe?
At least the moonster and purple tiger know

Acid is a trip that is not a trick for kids
But the rabbits white hair show great age
Maybe his mind is like that of a mage
I saw him once pull himself out of his own hat
Very impress for a magician with a assistant gnat
He buzzes around the rabbit’s head, a dark shade of blue
The rabbit does not reek, I have seen him use his wife’s shampoo

If I may take the time
I must say for a rabbit his wife is a dime
I even saw her and purple tiger in the shower at the same time
Of course the white rabbit was too late to catch them of this crime
Just then I told the purple tiger not to eat the white rabbit or the Chinese Girl
“She is your world! ”
You just don’t know it and she will not show it
So he devoured the loaf of bread instead

Waymores Blues

(waylon jennings/curtis buck)
Class of 55
Early one morning it was drizzling rain round the curve came the memphis train
Heard somebody holler, and a million more, the king is dead, but lord he still aint gone
But he still aint gone, but he still aint gone (my god, my God he still aint gone)
If you wanna get to heaven, gotta d-i-e. you got to put on your coat and your t-i-e
If you wanna catch a rabbit in an l-o-g, you gotta make a commotion like a d-o-g
Like a d-o-g, like a d-o-g (oh yes, just like a d-o-g)
Good lord have mercy, whats the matter with me? what makes me wanna love every woman I see?
Im rating one another, Im rating again, everyone I see looks like the place I came in
Looks like the place I came in (hot dog) looks like the place I came in (the place I came in)
Lord I got my name printed on my shirt, I aint no ordinary dude cos I dont have to work
I just got to town and Im gone again, but its a different track, but its the same old train
Its the same old train, its the same old train (oh god, my God its the same old train)

Lust For Life

I look out across this restless sleeper car blind, then to my side.
The face I saw bone-like under that gloomy window light, terrified me.
I know this train is breaking into the future, past the thread of my youth, beyond my
Childhood, my defeats and my worth wile victories.
I look under the lamp, there was an empty seat, and see my brother, happily married!
I look to the emergency box in the front of the car and
I think of my mother, beside me bringing me out of my unconsciousness,
her face like the glint of breaking sunlight through winter ice.
And I sleep for a minute, maybe several then wake to my bed.
What else could I need besides her hair, her shoulders, her craziness, her little nose.
She dropped her head on my shoulder and we saw the sunlight break through dense fog,
wafting through windows like ghostly curtain, a newfangled frontier.
When we got off the train it was morning. The storm glazed over my hometown, under the umbrella of night.
And I looked out to the cemetery and saw all its restless residents dancing? It was beauty
Just then she hit me with powdery snow, it exploder like new year celebration and with it came a drunkenness, a lust for life and we rolled around in peace like everything made sense, and nothing was finished.
