Feet
Listen you! This concerns us all;
Poor, wealthy, kind and cruel.
So necessary, yet so neglected;
Greatly used, poorly acknowledged.
Brain, heart, stomach and hand,
Eyes, Tongue and all manner of meat
Sacrifice your pride you lofty band
And pay what is owed to the working feet.
'Why should I hearken? ' remarks the brain,
'I am our memories, knowledge and power.
To me give your ears and from this foolishness refrain
Lest you should stray from hearing my answer.
I, the master, you, my slaves,
I am told what occurs, I tell you what to do.
Without me, you are useless knaves,
So I bid you, ignore that voice untrue! '
'Why should I care? ' purrs the small heart,
'I give our joy, our love and more,
Could you, could you really with me part?
Allow me to decide this matter as you have before.
Those twin workers never have complained,
Not a word from their soul has ever been raised,
They must be merry, for this work were they not trained?
Applaud them not; they need not be praised.'
'Why should I bother? ' belches the stomach,
'I am a worker too, very important and busy!
Yet, e'en with my lack of time, I will say this fact,
I will put these comrades back, out of their reasoning silly.
Look here, my friend, we all have our place,
Each quite noble and well scored,
So now you see by my great grace
That your motto should be: duty is its own reward.'
'Why should I pity? ' spits the hands,
'We are the same, we work alike,
There is no reason why they should grumble on crossing lands!
They are pathetic! Unable to deal with their dislike.
You should try my troublesome job,
You wouldn't tarry long I assure you,
The first challenge, a single sob,
You would be running back, back down low! '
Warned were you! This concerned us all,
Proud, deceptive, insensitive and scornful.
So necessary, yet so neglected;
Greatly used, poorly acknowledged.
Brain, heart, stomach and hand,
Eyes, Tongue and all manner of meat
Doomed you are, you lofty band
To suffer the wrath of the overworked feet!
'He cannot disobey' steams the brain,
'We thought you merry! ' screams the heart,
'This is done to rashly' tries the stomach,
'Woe approaches rapidly! ' cries the hands.
No! You were told, pleaded with and warned,
Now hear the feet in all it's anger unwound!
'Walking, hasting, running and crashing,
I was told this was the job I was given, the job I deserve;
Made this way because of my wrong-doing,
Must obey, duty the only thing left I have to preserve.
Long I did so, with obedience and commitment worked,
But I came to realise that as false words, hollow comfort!
Even now I do my work, however, a new purpose devised,
You cannot beat me any of you, I am the humble foot!
'Hasting, running, sprinting and crashing,
I lead you forward in the path I choose:
Through fire, nettle, stone and lightning
I continue, slowly winding the body deathly loose.
You cannot stop me, nor can you keep going.
Brain you are starved and heart you are faltering,
Stomach you are breaking and hands you are flailing.
You could not stop me, now you are past dying.'
Doomed are you! This destroys us all,
Proud, deceptive, insensitive and scornful.
So powerful yet so humble;
Meekest soul, never a mumble.
Brain, heart, stomach and hand,
Eyes, Tongue and all manner of meat
Ignorant at warning, you lofty band,
You are at the judgement of the mighty feet!

Put Out My Eyes
Put out my eyes, and I can see you still,
Slam my ears to, and I can hear you yet;
And without any feet can go to you;
And tongueless, I can conjure you at will.
Break off my arms, I shall take hold of you
And grasp you with my heart as with a hand;
Arrest my heart, my brain will beat as true;
And if you set this brain of mine afire,
Then on my blood-stream I yet will carry you.

Broken Chances
My Love,
I don't know how you're going to get this,
But it is my last word on this Earth.
Just what ever you do sit alone and read this.
I want you to be at the lake where you gave me my first kiss,
I want you to sit by the tree that held us, and read this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were my love, my only one person who always made me smile,
You held my hand through so many things, so many firsts.
You were my light you were my smile
And you told me the three deadly words,
The words that always kill, but first make you smile.
I have sewed my mouth shut, so you will never see me smile.
I would melt at the sound of your voice,
I would just sit and listen just to know you were really there,
I would call when you weren't home, just to hear your voice.
My wish every day was to hear you say 'I love you',
To hear your voice.
I have glued my ears so I don't have to listen to your lies.
I remember the feeling of your hands running through my hair,
You'd weave your fingers through it to comfort me,
Sometimes I would act sad just to feel your fingers in my hair,
I would silently smile and melt in your arms.
I remember your fingers running through my blond hair.
I have cut my hair so I can never remember that feeling.
U can see you standing looking at me with your sparkling eyes,
I always see you,
I can never see past those deep eyes,
I can see you smile at me, see your hands reach for mine.
I can still see your eyes.
I have cut my eyes out so I can never again fall into your deceiving eyes.
You made my heart race with butterflies, with hope.
I gave you my heart to keep, you said you'd never break it,
You gave me the one thing i needed ti keep going; hope.
And I fell for the traps, I gave you EVERYTHING.
I ave you all the hope I held in my heart, my soul.
I have stabbed my heart, just so you can't shatter what's already broken.
You became my life, you became my love, my everything.
No matter what happened I still loved you,
And no matter what I tried to give you everything,
And you made me loose so much that I'm left with nothing,
And with my dying breath I give you what was all I had left, my everything.
I take my life to show you what love really means, that it's not the lie you told.
I may not be able to smile when you hold me,
I may not be able to hear your words even if their truth,
I may not be able to remember you soothing touch, or your warmth,
I mat not be able to see your eyes, or your reaching hands,
I may not be able to press my beating heart against your skin,
I may not be able to give you a second chance, for like my heart it is broken,
But After the pain and lies, I believe in what I felt for you,
And hope maybe someday you'll believe the same, and find beauty from pain
Even with nothing left to give you but my word, I breath my last breath for you.
I lay in silence to let you live, to give to you a broken second chance,
For I will always love you,
Be............
Extinguish Thou My Eyes
Extinguish Thou my eyes:I still can see Thee,
deprive my ears of sound:I still can hear Thee,
and without feet I still can come to Thee,
and without voice I still can call to Thee.
Sever my arms from me, I still will hold Thee
with all my heart as with a single hand,
arrest my heart, my brain will keep on beating,
and Should Thy fire at last my brain consume,
the flowing of my blood will carry Thee.
My Heart....What Happened
my heart is broken and its all because of you
my heart cant be put back together with some glue
my heart is full of pain and u dont even care
my heart really needs you but your not even there
my heart now as an empty space
my heart needs u to fill that place
my heart feels the friendship will never be replaced
my heart wants you to still keep me safe
my heart knew this friendship would grow into something more
my heart knew you were going to shut that door
my heart told me to let you know how i really feel
my heart told me if he lets go then its not actually real
my heart never told me if i told you i would loose a friend
my heart never told me my world would come to an end
my heart thought you wouldn, t walk out for good
my heart thought u would of understood
my heart now misses all fun we have had together
my heart now wishes we should of stayed friends forever
my heart just had to give in and put up with the fact that you are gone
my heart has let you win and made me realise that i was wrong
D.o.a.
Give me your brain.
Give me your eyes.
Give me your tongue and lips.
Give me your heart.
Give me your hands.
Give me your legs and feet,
To walk with!
'What else do you want from me? '
We are trying to determine that now!
'You did not ask for my ass!
Why? '
You've been sitting on that too long!
Keep that!
It's over used.
And much too soft,
To give to someone else with determination.
And we are only collecting parts
That have capability to enhance and enrich,
This experience to experiment!
'What about my consciousness? '
Your what?
Please...
Did I mention,
None of us here are magicians!
Other gifts,
Yes!
But that which you have,
Has been determined D.O.A.
Dead on arrival!
Your mind has been completely useless.
To you or any of us.
To One Who Bade Him Work
EACH day Work bids my heart anew,
Fold wings and watch my brain at play;
But brain and heart will fly your way,
And find their natural home in you!
Come to me--'tis the only way!
For heart and brain have had to learn
Such carrier-pigeon feats of flight,
That were you here, my heart's delight,
My brain and heart to Work would turn,
Spread wings, and flutter from your sight.
The God of Love Speaks to Man…
I gave you hands to grasp and work
With finesse, deftly, and eat food;
I thought you'll fold your hands and pray,
And thank me for the gifts I gave!
But you use hands to hurt and kill,
And do all sinful things your way!
I gave you legs that carry you,
And stand upright and walk my ways;
I thought you'll genuflect and pray,
And thank me for all that I do;
But you tread upon evil paths
And leave my tenets, go astray!
I gave you eyes upon your face
To see the good world I had made;
I thought you'll read the word of mine,
And live your life in accordance.
But you use eyes to see the muck
That spoils your heart and mind and soul!
I gave you ears to hear sweet sounds
Of birds and animals I found;
I thought you'll hear my divine voice
And thank me for the gift of life;
But you hear noise that's deafening,
And songs that satisfy your lust.
I gave you tongue and mouth to speak
Kind words to all and love brethren;
I thought you'll eat the foods you should,
And thank me for the taste of things;
But you speak lies and blaspheme God
And eat substances of abuse!
I gave you mind to think aright,
And wonder how awesome is God!
I thought you'll keep your brain flawless,
And thank me for your reasoning power;
But you take drugs that give you highs
And waste your precious time I gave!
I gave you heart to empathize,
And feel the anguish of others;
I thought you'll have remorse for sins
And ask forgiveness from the Lord;
But your heart harbours evil thoughts
Those wreck your mind, body and soul!
Remember man, I made you out
Of clay but breathed life into it;
And gave a soul and my semblance
To know my love that's infinite;
Love made me make you with great care,
And yearns to have you back wholesome!
Andrew-in loveing memmorie part one
Lying in bed as
my heart beat slow
i could feel yours on my side
i talked to you
i knew you could hear me
i miss the way your heart beat
i miss when you moved in my stomach
when i found out i was going to have you
i thought to myself i get to be a mom
and i have always wanted that
due in april you were supposed to be
but then the earth took you away from me
i couldnt feel your heart beat
as i knew there was something wrong
my stomach hurts so bad and i cried for so long
seems like just yesterday i would sing and
youd push on my ribs if i stopped
how you loved to hear my voice
from the moment i knew you were there
i loved you like you were already here
a new addition to my heart you will always be
your dad wasnt ready to be a dad
but he wanted you just as much as i did
i thought it would work out for the best
but now your gone and theres half of my heart
that i have lost with you
i miss your heart beat
and when you made my stomach growel
and you pushed against my ribs
i loved singing and talking to you
your dad loved you
just as much as i did
so my dear son i say
goodbye and rest in peace
your my angel now so you can watch over me
please watch over your dad to
he knows you and he needs you too
know that we love you and miss you so
we will see you around and evertime
the wind blows and a flower blooms
and the sunshines we know its you
i miss you baby and love you too
Poor men seek meat for their stomach, rich men stomach for their meat.
As Long As I
When the heart and brain cease to function
I will no longer exist,
but as long as I am living
I will do the thing I love to do.
As long as I have arms
I can give a hug when needed.
As long as I have legs
I can walk that extra mile.
As long as I have eyes
I can see the beauty around me.
As long as I have a brain
I can think of may things.
As long I have fingers
I can write down what I think.
As long as I have a tongue.
I will tell the world of my dreams.
As long as I have a heart
I can and will live and love.
As Long as I have you
my world is complete.
Please Dont Bury Me
Woke up this morning
Put on my slippers
Walked in the kitchen and died
And oh what a feeling!
When my soul
Went thru the ceiling
And on up into heaven I did ride
When I got there they did say
John, it happened this way
You slipped upon the floor
And hit your head
And all the angels say
Just before you passed away
These were the very last words
That you said:
Chorus:
Please dont bury me
Down in that cold cold ground
No, Id druther have em cut me up
And pass me all around
Throw my brain in a hurricane
And the blind can have my eyes
And the deaf can take both of my ears
If they dont mind the size
Give my stomach to milwaukee
If they run out of beer
Put my socks in a cedar box
Just get em out of here
Venus de milo can have my arms
Look out! Ive got your nose
Sell my heart to the junkman
And give my love to rose
Repeat chorus
Give my feet to the footloose
Careless, fancy free
Give my knees to the needy
Dont pull that stuff on me
Hand me down my walking cane
Its a sin to tell a lie
Send my mouth way down south
And kiss my ass goodbye
Repeat chorus
Simply Couplets-1(uneven couplet)
The doors of the mouth ever unshut on a pretext
Craving mouth craves blaming the teeth in set
The tainted teeth of gourmet-colours
Act to curse the tongue of tastes
Doused in tastes the luscious tongue
Chides the cooking hands fakely in slang
Berate the hands falsely the walking feet
For often they 're on a shopping fleet
'The order'mutter the shopping legs
'By the stomach and its hungry yowls'
It's the mind of my master
Grumbles the stomach with its hunger
O'mind what do you say
Towing your master your way
Gluttonous self clutches an impaired castle dangerous
O'master cherish a life then gorgeous?
Andrew-in loving memory part two
sitting here thinking of how it felt when his heart beat against my side
and the pain i felt when he pushed on my ribs and back
oh the fuss he made when i ate something he didnt like
i cant help but wonder would he have been like me?
would he have been like his dad?
or a bit like both
i dunno but i wish i could have
helled him in my arms just once
and hear his soft cry's
his dad would have wanted him too
i miss andrews heart beat an
i miss the feel of his push on my spine
i wish i could have hured his laugh
and played with his feet
i sung to him and
talked to him all the time
when he was in my stomach
i am left to wonder why he's gone?
why did he have to go befor he was born?
when i think of him i know hes there
thinking mommy please dont cry i will always be here
two baby foot prints in my heart will forever stay
from the day i learned i was going to be a mom
when i lost him i didnt know what to do
all i could do was cry
to think of him an
the happyness i felt when he was there
i used to get mad when hed push on my back an ribs
but really all he wanted i guess was to hear my voice
its not fair that hes gone an never got to live
but i know hes my angel now
hopefully i will get to hear him giggle and laugh one day
i remember telling him about who i was
and what i look like
i remember singing to him and saying goodnight
the times i laughed and the times i smiled
cuz i knew he was there
touching my stomach to feel his heart beat
and falling asleep to the rythem
i miss him every day
its hard not to cry an
i hate to wonder why he had to die
i love him still and think of him often
miss him alot
i want my son back...
Dreaming Of Hair
Ivy ties the cellar door
in autumn, in summer morning glory
wraps the ribs of a mouse.
Love binds me to the one
whose hair I've found in my mouth,
whose sleeping head I kiss,
wondering is it death?
beauty? this dark
star spreading in every direction from the crown of her head.
My love's hair is autumn hair, there
the sun ripens.
My fingers harvest the dark
vegtable of her body.
In the morning I remove it
from my tongue and
sleep again.
Hair spills
through my dream, sprouts
from my stomach, thickens my heart,
and tangles from the brain. Hair ties the tongue dumb.
Hair ascends the tree
of my childhood--the willow
I climbed
one bare foot and hand at a time,
feeling the knuckles of the gnarled tree, hearing
my father plead from his window, _Don't fall!_
In my dream I fly
past summers and moths,
to the thistle
caught in my mother's hair, the purple one
I touched and bled for,
to myself at three, sleeping
beside her, waking with her hair in my mouth.
Along a slippery twine of her black hair
my mother ties ko-tze knots for me:
fish and lion heads, chrysanthemum buds, the heads
of Chinamen, black-haired and frowning.
Li-En, my brother, frowns when he sleeps.
I push back his hair, stroke his brow.
His hairline is our father's, three peaks pointing down.
What sprouts from the body
and touches the body?
What filters sunlight
and drinks moonlight?
Where have I misplaced my heart?
What stops wheels and great machines?
What tangles in the bough
and snaps the loom?
Out of the grave
my father's hair
bursts. A strand
pierces my left sole, shoots
up bone, past ribs,
to the broken heart it stiches,
then down,
swirling in the stomach, in the groin, and down,
through the right foot.
What binds me to this earth?
What remembers the dead
and grows towards them?
I'm tired of thinking.
I long to taste the world with a kiss.
I long to fly into hair with kisses and weeping,
remembering an afternoon
when, kissing my sleeping father, I saw for the first time
behind the thick swirl of his black hair,
the mole of wisdom,
a lone planet spinning slowly.
Sometimes my love is melancholy
and I hold her head in my hands.
Sometimes I recall our hair grows after death.
Then, I must grab handfuls
of her hair, and, I tell you, there
are apples, walnuts, ships sailing, ships docking, and men
taking off their boots, their hearts breaking,
not knowing
which they love more, the water, or
their women's hair, sprouting from the head, rushing toward the feet.
My heart beat
My heart beat
My heart beats with worry and sorrow
Seeing mankind climbing the ladder of hate
Seeing mankind fading away the love for humanity
My heart bleeds
My eyes cry sadness as blood brothers and sisters
hate on each other
The love I have for my sisters is deep
The care I feel for my brother is deep
None can separate my siblings and I
For we forever one
My heart beats play songs of sorrow and pain
My heart bleeds with sorrow and pain when I see
Homeless yuts begging on the streets
Where are you mother of earth set to nature and feed this young one
GOD why plant a seed on hateful woman
All eyes are on you woman of prostitution
All eyes are you woman of abortion
Defiling the survival of humanity by allowing vanity to control you
Who is to look after the nation and keep it clean when you are
Soulfully unclean
Move away from the darkness mankind
Can't you see the women are dying
Can't you the children are still crying
Hunger pains the stomach
Hunger supresses the brain to lowest level of thinking
I feel the pain in the core of my chest
I feel my heart beat, the drums in my brain
Makes my ears buzz when I hear the cry of the children on the streets
My feet get cold and my toes cramp as they feel the cold on the side walks of Jozi
My heart beats with sorrow and worry
Seeing mankind turning a blind eye on Poverty
My heart beats sing a sad song, a sad song
That tells me to fight poverty
Lets fight poverty people
Lets give to the needy
Take care of our elders
Feed our children
Love the nation
because my heart beats sing a sad song, a sad song.
My heart beat
The strength of the progress
Teeth have lost their power to tear
meat,
Legs are weak to tread stones and thorns.
Stomach cannot gulp raw, and skin
Is unable to brave cold and wind.
And the brain is sick with sexual
perversion,
Our civilization is well in progress.
Sliders, Addicted I Am
Something so small and square, edible
Be so good and addicting
Travel 100 plus miles for them
Do they call our name or brain wash us
The small square buns so soft and warm
They could be dinner rolls
The grilled square patty cook so well
Juicy and delicious, the right amount of onions
I am so addicted to them
Not just one, maybe two, or go for the six pack
They play with my mind
I see the signs as i drive down the Interstate
They must know when I am near
I feel a magnetic pull
I crave them bad, can't get enough
Ole the White building is in site
Do I stop or do I pass
My stomach says yes, the heart no
I do stop almost always
Those burgers are my life
Ole to the White Castle Burger
They took my heart and stomach
I need to go to Sliders Anonymous
The addiction is bad, very bad
It takes over my mind
I go to dangerous places just to get them
The fixation is so over whelming
Ole to the Slider, My true love food
So juicy, so small, so good
My body will pay later, now that I am Full
Sliders, Sliders, My mind dreams of eating you
One more time, Do I stop, or do I pass
White Castle, a Addict I am
People beware the Sliders are addicting
Give me more, My tummy is bursting
Just one more before I go
Sliders, I love you So
