Protests across Yemen

Protests spread across Yemen on Wednesday
Demanding an end to the president
Policemen fired in the air then forced their way
To disperse the crowd of the people present.

A foreign plot led the Arab world in chaos,
One thousand people marched on the Sanaa street
Some consecutive days protesting with pathos
Ali Abdullah Saleh trying to defeat.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh
Against al Qaeda had been allied with US
But he has began to smoke his nargileh
When he heard 'down with the president's thugs.'

Lawyers, students, and activists together
Marched chanting slogans against President
From Sanaa University toward the city center
And they held their truths to be self-evident.

Riot police blocked the main road of the city
And clashed with protesters throwing stones.
The government supporters with no pity
Staged a counter-demonstration in those zones.

It's about al-Qaida and counterterrorism
And spoke on condition of anonymity
Some tribal leaders with their power as mesmerism
Because it was a subject having sensitivity.

Yemen, a Middle East country having eucalypt
And grievances like corruption and poverty,
Felt aftershocks of pro-reform uprisings in Egypt
While it was trying to grind its tribal complexity.

This country staid in contrast to the Jordan wealth
Even Bahrain people protested for economic justice
With tea and kabobs they protected their health
While they were putting pressure on king to make changes.

Hundreds of Bedouin men blocked roads to demand
Government all they should have, a job and a house,
Moreover, to return their once owned land
For that they waved flags, chanted and erected banners.

If I Resign Today There Will Be Chaos

It was February the 3rd 2011 when
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak
made his famous scare fear prediction
'If I Resign Today There Will Be Chaos'.

Mubarak claimed he was sincerely troubled?
By violence the world had seen in Liberation
Tahrir Square over preceding days he claimed
his government was innocent not responsible?

Mubarak blamed the Muslim Brotherhood
a banned political party persecuted in Egypt.
But Mubarak supporters violence launched
against anti-government protesters innocent.

Mubarak claimed he 'was very unhappy about
yesterday. [stating] I do not want to see Egyptians
fighting each other.' Mubarak had hoped to rout
humiliate publicly defeat opponent protesters.

When asked what he thought seeing the people
shouting insults about him and wanting him gone
Mubarak said, 'I don't care what people say about
me... I care about my country, I care about Egypt.'

Mubarak claimed he wanted to resign but could not
'for Fear of the Country Falling into Chaos.' Egypt
will sink into chaos if I resign there will be chaos at
least eight people had died hundreds were injured in

violent clashes between his supporters and anti-
government protesters since Wednesday that is chaos

pride comes before a fall was Mubarak the leader
really unfazed by insults being hurled at him by
protesters demanding his immediate resignation?
According to quotes he wavered when asked about

his attitude toward his main ally the US which had been
pushing for him to resign because Washington gives
Egypt about $1.5 billion in mostly military aid annually
in a statement like Gaddafi would soon make he said

'You don't understand the Egyptian culture and what
would happen if I step down now' Mubarak said he told
US President Barack Obama while reportedly he remained
guarded in Cairo in the presidential palace with his family

heavily guarded by troops tanks barbed wire in safety?
Egypt's largest protests in a generation were clearly
demanding democratic economic reforms immediately
while analysts were estimating the Mubarak family net

worth ranged from $40 billion to $70 billion a calculation
not based upon the billions Egyptian protests were costing.
Chaos might happen? Chaos was already business costing.
One man's chaos is another man's democracy celebration.

Several months on Mubarak is gone? There is no chaos.
Democracy in Egypt will prove to be an Egyptian vision.

Egypt

A very furious wave of protest finally swept the Egypt's President
After eighteen days of relentless rallies against poverty and corruption.
To autocrats across the Arab world it was sent a real advertisement
And Vice President said a military council would run the affairs of the nation.

A free and fair presidential electionfor September it has been promised
After Mubarak had flown with his family from Cairo to the Red Sea.
People embraced in Cairo's Tahrir the main focus for their protest,
Mubarak left because to their conditions he really didn't agree.

Sobbing for joy, Egyptians celebrated in carnival mood on the street,
They fought to have their freedom and to demand their needed right.
They won, because Mubarak easily broke in his most dispirited final defeat
And “Egypt is free! ” Egyptian people screamed on Friday night.

For Egyptians, Mubarak’s resignation wasn’t only a political matter.
Egyptians noticed how much of their lives had passed under Mubarak.
They have decided that they were going to change their lives for the better.
Therefore, Egypt's revolution turned very violent as Mubarak struck back.

There was a note of caution over how far the military allowed a democracy
Someone said Egypt isn't moving toward democracy, but into martial law.
People rose up against government, asking an end to President ' autocracy.
Europe's Arabs have watched those events with a mixture of fear and awe.

Mubarak’s resignation left countless uncertainties for the whole nation
But the main goal of the Egyptian revolution has been really achieved.
Out there, in the middle of that 'ice storm' there was a real torsional vibration
But, in the end, the crowd is going to be very excited and definitely relieved.

Mubarak Speaks Four Days Late

Mubarak accused protesters of abusing freedoms
which he the feared oppressor had given citizens.
Mubarak refused to step down leave town gallantly
too late too late Mubarak promises to promote democracy.
Mubarak Mubarak should already long long be gone
the wounded the dead protesters cannot all be wrong.
What will Mubarak give protesters teargas rubber bullets?
Stones are speaking out in poverty need with empty wallets.

Contrast beloved King Abdullah II of Jordan ordered Jordan’s
police to hand out water and orange juice to thirsty protesters.
Which would you vote for? Which give a no confidence vote?
King Abdullah urged senators officials, to be in constant contact
with people in all provinces, to hear their grievances, to hear their
ambitions, their interests in frank dialogue. Wise King Abdullah.

My President Will Defeat Your Candidate

My President will defeat your candidate
In November.
Remember
That I told you so; I can't wait for that date.

My President is fair, competent and has common sense
My President is realistic, just and is full of intelligence.
As a matter of facts, he has destroyed many bad seeds.
He is a well disciplined man who keeps his word.
He loves the people who face the quotidian sword.
In spite of the down turn, he practices sound economic policies,
However, it is a continued gamble when dealing
With unpredictable indicators. It is like going
To the casinos of Las Vegas or to the shores of Atlantic City;
Such is the market, such is the greedy economy.
Sometimes, you win and most of the times
You lose real dollars and myriad of dimes.
At times you also lose your soul and your spleen.
The government is a facilitator; it does not create jobs,
Only the private sector can genuinely create jobs.
My President is a pragmatist not a thaumaturgist.
He does not mince words; he put to sleep the terrorists.
I have no doubt that
My President will defeat your candidate.
You can behave like a fat cat
All you want; please mark the date
Of the reelection of my President.

Remember,
This November,
The hard working people will be triumphant
Again,
And again.

Mubarak Egyptian Protests Threatens Suez Oil

Mubarak had given
a coded speech
on nationwide Egyptian
state television

Mubarak supporters listen
recognized his decision
immediately instantly
the answer to where many

of dictators secret police went
was answered in brutality
Tahrir Square 2nd February
'Amned Daula' 'Moochabarat'

sinister secret police of Egypt
who immune have held Emergency
Powers thirty stain years kept
since Emergency Law was swiftly

passed after Egypt’s President Sadat
was assassinated such a tragedy
succeeding dictator henchmen security
torture with Mubarak total immunity

Mubarak security supporters provoked
blood letting upon peacefully assembling
protesters in Tahrir Square after ordering
teargas rubber bullets baton charges in

days earlier secret police tactic brutality
to beat isolated protesters with iron bars
was routine for protest eradication policy
now administration frustration hits streets

demons are out of bottle and upon the street
modern tactics retrocede into mystic Bedouin
camel charge loud sound of liberty bell rings
an Egyptian falcon freedom sands soaring flies

wind of change is blowing protests
are not going to effect your country
except in increased national poverty
oil prices increasing to $100 dollars

plus a barrel an eighth of the world's
shipping goes through the Suez channel
Mubarak closed all Egyptian banks
shipping companies cannot pay access

the ports of Alexandria etc are closed
or on skeleton crews ships cannot
refuel in Egypt Mubarak has now played
his cards the poor will suffer but not

world elite leaders bankers corporations
solution must be found now immediate
if Egypt’s people will not end protests
elite will end Mubarak rule inconvenient?

The Power Of Abdullah King

In Ma'an, a bleak desert town which is situated
In the southern part of the beautiful Jordan,
The plague of poverty and the high unemployment
Is remotely felt from the wonderful capital, Amman.

Ma'an has discontent swirls in some living room conversations
Which are especially expressed on its main street,
Because its people have sparked some protests and demands
For new reforms to determine the political power to defeat.

The protestants want to limit the power of Abdullah King
Who wields in this country the supreme authority.
The oppositionists of demonstration want to have everything
So they gathered for this monarch some pledges of their loyalty.

This monarch has counted on the support of the Bedouins
Who had formed in the past his regime backbone.
But the protester's rancor is rife being fueled over mountains
By the unrest across the Arabs and this is very well known.

In Ma'an, the anti-government riots have been erupted
Since a while, now their style to talk is very different.
'Cause the government and the royal court are corrupted
And the authorities are still extremely indifferent.

A sheikh said that the king holds all the authority
In his own hand even this authority must be limited.
He has broad executive powers and political immunity
Because the denunciation of the monarch is banned.

Jordan people wanted a new constitutional monarchy
Which could be extremely similar to the British one,
But this would affect the political balance leading to anarchy
Marouf al-Bakhit talked about this balance, and it wasn't fun

At all because the constitutional amendments granting
The monarch's additional powers still need to exist.
And the idea which has been promoted very vehemently
By the opposition leaders had finally to be dismissed.

There were some impressionable changes that would produce
A cabinet drawn from their political parliamentary majority
But a bunch of thieves who was looking out for own business
Interests had surrounded the life of Abdullah's royal family.

So, no change can produce a cabinet drawn from the king's
Appointment of the prime minister, an important person said,
While a bunch of thieves doesn't care about the interests of
The most poor citizen, who really need to eat their bread.

A queen, who is a very important ambassador
For Jordan country abroad, is merely accused
Of interfering in some official appointments
Even for this interferer she has no excuse.

This queen, who is mediating the Arab relations
As ambassador for Jordan abroad, is merely accused
Also of receiving foreign funding for some foundations
Which ran out without public oversight and without excuse.

An extremely strong bond although still remains
Between the local tribes and the ruling Hashemit family.
A strife between the Palestinians and Jordanians
Which can take place soon will destroy their solidarity.

The removal of Hashemit family can lead
To a power struggle making the people to groan.
A civil strife can destroy the solidarity between
The tribes, if the monarchy is overthrown.

When Im President

I remember it well
I was just about three
My dad said
son what do you want to be?
It didnt ring no bells but I said
daddy Im a bit too young what do you want from me?
Im much older now
Im almost a man
I can do anything, you bet I can
Raise a family
Now wouldnt that be grand
So sorry but I got bigger plans
You can be anything in the world today
Something like a preacher, a teacher
A baseball player
Those kind of things I just dont care
I want to represent the usa
The american dream
As far as the eye I say can you see
I want to be
I want to be the leader of the country
When Im president
Things will be different
Well start a new government
When Im president
When Im president
You can be in my cabinet
Ill be your heaven sent
President
First things first were gonna change the rules
Better listen up all you boys and girls
Your president says therell be no after school
So vote for me wouldnt that be cool
Yeah! yeah!
Now I know theres trouble in the middle east
Ill spend all the money when I stop the arms race
All my brothers in the desert
Gonna have themselves a feast
When thats done then well start on world peace
So go ask alice
Cos you know what he said
What did he say?
Remember, i wanna be elected

Anarchists

The leaders of this country,
Think were the ones that do wrong,
They take control of the power,
and steal this land of forgotten freedom

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

They call the ones dressed in black,
The evil ones but we fight back,
We've got hackers, we've got protesters,
we let no man left behind

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

The unions dressed in black,
With their flag raised up high,
Don't take no for an answer,
As the forces stain the streets with blood

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

We fight for the people,
Our obligation is good as gold,
And though we fight with arms of steel,
we don't let death go in vein

Its not the people afraid of the government,
Its the government afraid of the people

Thomas Jefferson

It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights; that confidence is every where the parent of despotism; free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence; it is jealousy, and not confidence, which prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power; that our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no farther, our confidence may go; and let the honest advocate of confidence read the Alien and Sedition Acts, and say if the Constitution has not been wise in fixing limits to the government it created, and whether we should be wise in destroying those limits; let him say what the government is, if it be not a tyranny, which the men of our choice have conferred on the President, and the President of our choice has assented to and accepted, over the friendly strangers, to whom the mild spirit of our country and its laws had pledged hospitality and protection; that the men of our choice have more respected the bare suspicions of the President than the solid rights of innocence, the claims of justification, the sacred force of truth, and the forms and substance of law and justice. In questions of power, then, let no more be said of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.

Truman Teaches Romney Where The Buck Stops

On the desk of President Truman did sit a sign
famous defining standard of the man throughout
the land of the great United States of America!

Truman sitting at his desk in his White House
office had responsibility sign 'The Buck Stops Here'
because in Truman's administration the president

took responsibility for the welfare of all Americans!
No poker player hustler could be elected president
swindle 47% of the American people and say it is not

his responsibility as president to care for all citizens!
Mitt Romney passed the buck declaring all voters
who would not vote for him were not his responsibility...

in his vision for a Romney rummy federal government!
President Truman had a motto even for Monday morning
because as star quarterback for a nation when a decision

is up before you then by you the decision has to be made!
President Truman defined what 'The Buck Stops Here'
means in January 1953 in his farewell address to his then

responsibility the American people asserting specifically
'The President-whoever he is-has to decide. He can't
pass the buck to anybody. No one else can do the deciding

for him. That's his job.' Responsibility for all Americans!

Shadows Of Twentieth Century Dictatorships

At last at last finally sinister purges are passing past.
Shadow legacy of twentieth century absolute dictators
decades on last totalitarian governments passing past.
Lands where the ruling party is only old party allowed.
The dictator of Tunisia has already people opposed fled.
President of Yemen unpopular promised power to shed.
Dictator of Egypt has again soiled bloodied ruling hands.
Just question of time before tyranny is driven from sands.

surrealist cartoon: thug supporters of lame duck Egyptian
president Mubarak caused an ugly scene with clubs stones
troops did not intervene how obscene as donkeys mounted
on camels and horses charged into Tahrir Square hoping to
do gang victory laps after prison releases to beat up crowds
of innocent trapped peaceful anti-mubarak protesters as all
spectator Egyptian military soldiers stood back did nothing
but watch watch watch fighting rise up around them unable

to do their job fighting to protect civilians thus pro-Mubarak
forces advanced beyond line military trucks throwing stones
other more cowardly thug monkeys climbed near high-rises
rocks projectiles to throw down monkey style on protesters
in the square stampeded as trouble broke out but never fear
secret police monkeys gutless after beating chained victims
for years in custody cells could not withstand fair fight back
unchained men were an eventual match for monkey mobsters

opposition groups claim Mubarak sent in thugs to suppress
protest which wounded his ego to avenge a dictator’s name.

an overthrow of Ba'athist government

could destabilize middle east entire region

The Deserter

Mr. President
I'm writing you a letter
that perhaps you will read
If you have the time.

I've just received
my call-up papers
to leave for the front
Before Wednesday night.

Mr. President
I do not want to go
I am not on this earth
to kill wretched people.

It's not to make you mad
I must tell you
my decision is made
I am going to desert.

Since I was born
I have seen my father die
I have seen my brothers leave
and my children cry.

My mother has suffered so,
that she is in her grave
and she laughs at the bombs
and she laughs at the worms.

When I was a prisoner
they stole my wife
they stole my soul
and all my dear past.

Early tomorrow morning
I will shut my door
on these dead years
I will take to the road.

I will beg my way along
on the roads of France
from Brittany to Provence
and I will cry out to the people:

Refuse to obey
refuse to do it
don't go to war
refuse to go.

If blood must be given
go give your own
you are a good apostle
Mr. President.

If you go after me
warn your police
that I'll be unarmed
and that they can shoot.
