Trapped In Despair

I was placed in sadness
I was placed in darkness
I was placed in fear
Trapped in a place called despair
Despair is cold
Despair is unkind
Despair he lingers all the time
You find yourself clinging to the light
Just praying for that light
Please light save me for I am…trapped in despair
Then you see the light and it turns to your eyes
it turns to your smile
at the sound of your angelic voice…
the place grows warm
all fear flees
the light that is your eyes fills this place the darkness is chased away
My sadness has vanished
You extend a firm hand and rip me from despair
You wrap your arms around me and whisper in my ear…
Never again will you be…trapped in despair.

Roses are red
violets are blue
I'm thinking of you
If only you knew
The stars are like dreams,
painted across the sky
put their for you and I
and if only they could describe
The way you make me feel
How I wish these dreams were real
Or how you got me head over heals

My Beautiful Lie

Every time I wake up and find myself in this place
As my hands run up to my face
To rub the drowsiness out of my eye
I find myself wrapped in my beautiful lie

In this warm and cozy home
Where I feel the most cold and alone
Wrapped up in my blanket seeking the warm
As my cold heart begins to do it's harm

Making things vivid to my eye the tears leak out and I cry
Here I begin to weave my beautiful lie
My time of wants and need
The time I'm overwhelmed by a perpetual greed

Can't help but think how I'm pathetically nice
As my cold blood runs through my veins like ice
My body shivers even though the sun hits it as it rises on high
Here I thread the needle for my beautiful lie

As the needle starts in with my sin
The stitching starts to begin
My body goes cold and unfeeling as stone
The wounds deeper then bone

Losing my fear and almost wishing to die
Here I bleed my beautiful lie
I begin to laugh and smile
Lost inside my own guile

Here I find myself wrapped up in my beautiful lie
Rubbing the tears from my eye
As your hands leave my face

Cold cold change, we were so excited
But you came and went so soon
Cold cold change, we were not invited
We smiled all the while we were taken in
Cold cold change, bringing in the winter
Freezing up the water, closing up the mind
One more danger, gonna have to deal with
One last moment fading all the time
But no lasting change, well we were turned around
We jumped in the air to see over the wall
No master plan, its a bad design
Significant time in spite of us all

December Comment

I was born in December,
too cold to remember.
Every year I'm reminded
of being born in December.

Coming from the warmth of my mother
and coming from another
time and place of beauty
where I knew something other
than cold.

I am a lover of warmth and sun
but that's not how I'd begun
my life on this cold place.
And when my blankets were undone
I'd shiver.

Will I leave in December
so I can remember
the cold that welcomed me
on my first December?

This world is beautiful place

Evening Sky

I walked beneath the evening sky
and felt the chill of night
But the cold that chilled me as I walked
was not as cold as the sight
of the stars in the sky that stared at me
as if to say 'What's wrong? '
How could I answer those stars up there?
Could I hum them a lonely song?

They were there to brighten my stare
and take the chill away
But no stars could ever accomplish that
