I Want To Say Thanks For My Mother
I want to say Thanks for my Mother,
To me she taught how to Love one another;
With only one hand, to do the work she had to do,
But; she worked as if it was more hands than two.
She took us each Sunday to church and Sunday school,
And really cared to teach us children, the golden Rule;
That we need to Love God, and obey and Trust Him too,
Yes, if only she were here right now, I'd say to her thankyou.
My Mother taught us girls to learn, how to be truthful, also,
And how to read and also to Pray, and to others love to show;
She also taught us how to cook, to sew and knit as well,
These things is a lot for one hand lady, is what I can tell.
She was a foster Mother to many a child and baby, it's true,
Some with health problems, and that couldn't say thankyou;
Some had other difficulties, some were very bad as well,
But Mum certainly showed she loved them, oh yes! We could tell.
So Mum if you could have been here today, and read this now,
It tells you thanks for everything, I love you any how;
Sometimes we were naughty, played up when you were tired too,
So! Mum, I'm sorry for those times, and Mum I say Thankyou.

The story of my life in a poem
Poem of Meg's life,
Meg was brought up as she later found out,
Adopted by parents, but unsure how it came about;
She didn't sit up till 2 years of age, this is true,
And didn't start to talk till 5, so no how do you do.
She went to a special school from 7 yrs of age,
But had many problems walking, at that stage;
Went in a taxi, every Monday to Friday,
Had many a party there to celebrate her birthday.
Her mother brought up 3girls, with a disability too,
1 arm because of cancer, but she coped thru' and thru;
She took us girls to Sunday school each and every week,
And taught us to love God, to pray, and his truth to seek.
We lived in Dandenong, till I was 12 years of age,
But my sister wasn't there, she was nowhere at that stage;
We shifted to Gladstone in Queensland you know,
It's where Meg was baptized by immersion that is so.
At 16 She started teaching,2 - 6 years in Sunday school,
At 17 we shifted back, but then dad started to be cruel;
I celebrated my 21st, birthday, with a wonderful musical night,
It made friends and family happy, things were happy and bright.
My mum passed on to the Lord, and I shifted away from home,
For 4 yrs I lived in Glenroy, in a flat and on my own;
I was in THE Salvation Army, serving the Lord, each week,
Playing the organ and harp, teaching the youth, the Lord to seek.
I then shifted to ascot vale, then over to st albans to live,
Married a man with problems, and troubles to me he did give;
But 12 yrs of problems I'm free of it now, so thankyou,
To the Lord for release and strength, and that He's brought me thru'.
And then I started at Sunshine, in the band where I did play,
And sang and read the Word, helping in many a way;
THE Lord showed me time to learn more, so off to college I go,
To learn how to be a minister for Christ, and His way to show.
So now I'm 58 years of age, seeking to do right with the Lord,
It's great to preach and learn, but to understand His Word;
And I want to thankyou for coming to celebrate my special day,
Please enjoy yourselves and enjoy the meal, on this my 58th birthday.

Mom
You hold me in your arms, first time,
Warm tears were rolling down on your cheek,
Drops of happiness betrayed your infinite ecstasy,
And "two hearts-one" then began to beat.
I was safe, I was not afraid,
Because I felt your love for me,
I understood right then that you are my Mom,
And I knew how long I will live you'll be my Mommy!
On so many late nights, you watched me
Whispering with love... "You'll be fine!"
You gave me comfort in pain and sorrow,
You, Mom, were always by my side.
You were the first sound that I said,
Which then opened a path to the whole range,
The dearest, the most beloved word,
The precious word of "Mother" that will never change.
You were there with me when I took the first step,
You have inspired me with power and will,
So much love I felt in your voice,
You taught me when to walk and when to stay still.
Hand in hand you walked with me on my first day of school,
The first book that we read together, now it's in the past,
Loving and tender you corrected my mistakes,
I still remember how you told me "You're the best!"
You taught me to say what I think and what I feel,
You told me; never, never lie,
And daily to live for Jesus,
Without fear to always watch the sky.
You taught me to comfort others with love,
And to spread the Light all around me,
You told me that I am a child of God,
You taught me to believe in Eternity!
So many precious things you planted in me,
Today I thank Jesus, Mother for You,
You gave me life and taught me how to live it,
Today, tomorrow, always my dear Mother; I Love You!

Never Forget
When the rain falls
I watch the grey clouds
When my friend smiles
I look for sadness
When I watch a romance movie
I watch the tears that fall
Why can't I see the good?
When I look at the beauty around me
I always look for a flaw
When someone is nice to me
I wonder what their motive is
When something good happens
I wait for something bad
Then you came along...
You showed me what it was to cry
You showed me what it was to laugh
You showed me what it was to feel
You showed me what it was to love
You showed me what it was to be loved...
Now you are here
I can't lose you
You are my light
My star, my rock
If you were to leave me
I would be empty again!
I am worried that when you leave me
I will forget to feel
SO please don't go away
For you are my strength
My happiness, my love
You are my friend
And always will be!
Thankyou for being here
When I need you most
And thankyou for trusting me
When I did't trust myself
I love you
Always have, always will...
Never forget that...

Like No Other...Mother
Mother...
Mother, who gave us her heart...her very soul.
Mother, who's understanding never wavered.
Mother, the one who dried our tears.
Mother, she lead us to the path of His Love.
Mother, who washed our cloths and cleaned the house.
Mother, who instilled confidence in her children.
Mother, who walked us to school.
Mother, who loved us like no other.
Mother, who quelled the anger within us.
Mother, who drove us to all our practices.
Mother, who never forgot our special occasions.
Mother, who protected her family, as a lion to a cub.
Mother, who always supported our father.
Mother, who scrimped and saved for our daily needs.
Mother, who was always the last to eat.
Mother, who was always the first to rise.
Mother, who cared for the animals.
Mother, a love that knew no limits.
Mother, who forever placed her family, before herself.
Mother, who was grateful, for every passing acknowledgement.
Mother, whose eyes shined, when she heard the words,
I love you mom.

Mother, who always taught us to never, never, give up.

A Mother's Love
What is a Mother's love? Only a Mother will know,
When a Child is sick with fever, and the pulse is slow;
A Mother will not sleep or rest, till the child is well,
This is what my Mother did, she cared, I could tell.
What is a Mother's love? As it's only a Mother can feel,
When a Child is so bad, she makes her Mother feel like a heel;
Like the Mother will keep her patience till she wants to cry,
But in the end, when; the child is sorry, then she will sigh.
What is a Mother's love? Only a Mother can say with Love,
My Mother never did give up, it's the Same as God above;
When we Hurt our Mother, show Angers, a grieve them too,
We need to say sorry, and also to God this is true.
God and Mother's are almost the same, Forgiving and Receiving,
God just patiently waits for us, to be well behaving;
And say sorry for our sin, He' ll never give up on us,
So is a Mother's Love, she shows love, she'll never fuss.

You are my Mother,
My Mentor
My Maker
You taught me how to be nice
To read
To write.
You taught me how to pick up after myself
Believe in myself.
You showed me your mistakes
So I could be a better person.
You taught me to believe in Jesus.
You are my MOM
You are the reason I am here today!
Thank You Mom.

How you cared for us. Don't keep away from us.I won't surive without you/ Mother Mother Mother Your eyes show me the way. When I fall on my way. You lend me a hand to carry on. Mother Mother Mother You had a very hard life. But you gave your baby your own bread from your own mouth. When she feels hungry. Mother Mother Mother If I pass though this word. I wouldn't find you anywhere. Your sweet smile makes me happy. Mother Mother Mother My love for you will go on forever. Mom
You held me in your arms for the first time,
Warm tears were rolling down on your white cheeks,
And for the first time, I felt the love's delight,
I understood that this is how love speaks.
Drops of happiness betrayed your infinite excitement,
Our two hearts as one then began to beat,
entering in a new stage of love's enlightenment,
Your smile was angelic, and your breath so sweet.
So many sick days you watched over me,
Whispering with love, “You’ll be fine!”
So many late nights spent on your knee,
You taught me love's reason to shine.
You were there with me when I took the first step,
You taught me when to move and when to stand still,
When to leave my worries on the doorstep,
You have inspired me with your power and your will.
You gave me comfort in pain and sorrow,
You were always by my side,
You taught me what's tomorrow,
You taught me how to read and how to write.
You walked with me on my first day of school,
The first book that we read together, it’s now long past,
You taught me that to be myself is cool,
To live each day as the first one or maybe as the last.
With love and tender, you corrected all of my mistakes,
I still remember how you told me; You are the best!
No matter how much hurts or what it takes,
You always have to live the truth and stand the test.
You taught me to say what I think and what I feel,
Without any fear, always watching the sky,
To dream but also to know what is real,
To be powerful when I'm down and modest when I'm up high.
You taught me to comfort others with my love,
And to spread the Light, all around me,
You told me that I am a child of God's above,
You taught me to believe in Eternity!
So many precious things you planted in my heart,
You gave me life and taught me how to live it too,
You're up in Heaven, but we'll never be apart,
Today, tomorrow, always Mother, I Love You.

Pantoum for Mother
My mother, always a gentle woman,
As far as I have known,
Loves her children, loves herself,
Worked herself to the bone.
As far as I have known,
She never cheated me,
Working herself to the bone,
My mother taught to me.
She never cheated me,
Of money or life or love,
My mother has taught to me,
The best gifts are up above.
Of money or life or love,
Is what the world shall see,
Are not my gifts, for they’re above,
And that’s what my mother taught to me.

Do You Love Your Children
Father do you love your children
I heard you do
But father will you help your children
We need you to
It could be worse I know its true
But only if we plan
La la la lady mary... its time to show your hand
La la la lady mary... and make a few demands
Children do you hope that someone
Is watching you
But do you feel the need for someone
I know I do
I think about it constantly
We really arent that wise
La la la lady mary... open up our eyes
La la la lady mary... and make us realize
First I have a question
(do you love us)
I would like to know
(do you love us)
Do you love your children
(do you love us)
Do you love your children
(do you love us)
Yes we really need to know
(do you love us)
I think the time has come for you to show
(do you love us)
(do you love us) (do you love us)
(do you love us)(do you love us)
(do you love us) (do you love us)
(do you love us)
Mother, do you love your children
I know you do
But mother do you know your children
Will poison you
The answer does not seem too clear
We look so hard ourselves
La la la lady mary... put your books back on the shelf
La la la lady mary... and save us from ourselves
First I have a question
(do you love us)
I would like to know
(do you love us)
Do you love your children
(do you love us)
Do you love your children
(do you love us)
Yes we really need to know
(do you love us)
I think the time has come for you to show
(do you love us)
(do you love us) (do you love us)
(do you love us)(do you love us)
(do you love us) (do you love us)

Happy Mother’s Day,2008
I’m glad to have a mother good,
Who nursed me well and gave good food;
Who taught me how to read and write,
And sang a lullaby each night.
Who showed me how to walk and run,
And played with me to have some fun;
Who kept me spick and span each day,
And told me stories like a Fay.
Who showed me how to pray to God,
And caned me sometimes as a rod;
Who reared me well with love and care,
And toiled all life for my welfare.
A lovely soul, one’s mother is,
Who shows the way to every bliss!
God bless my mother specially,
And keep her happy and healthy.

By example
A mother sings a lullaby
To let her baby know
that she is near no need to cry.
The babe is sleeping peacefully
In safety warm and dry
Still mother listens carefully.
As baby sleeps her mother rests.
Relaxed but vigilant,
the mother love which she invests.
Will in time pay rich dividends
at compound interest.
Mutual love which never ends.
The child becomes a woman grown.
A daughter and a friend
When she has children of her own.
She knows exactly what to do
to care for her baby.
Do what her mother taught her to.

My Farewell
My farewell is a long one, I just have a lot to say.
Farewell to all of my teachers, you have taught me well.
You have taught me to grow with the world and with society.
You have taught me everything I know, and I say 'Thank you! '
My farewell goes to all of my friends,
You have been great throughout the years.
You have taught me a lot about life.
You have been there through the hatred and the love,
Through the ups and the downs,
Through thick and thin,
You have proved yourselves worthy of being true friends.
And I just want to say, 'I love you all! '
My Farewell goes to my parents.
You have also taught me well.
You are the ones who taught me how to credit others that I love and care
about. You sat with me in the doctors office through those painful shots.
You have been through hell and back with me, literally.
You have seen me grow from a little girl to the woman that I am today.
Father, you are the one who is going to give me away at the alter someday.
And Mother, you are the one who is going to help me find the perfect dress for my wedding and you are the one who is going to help me prepare for it.
You are the ones who I can trust with my life and I just want you to know that I am grateful and that I will love you with all my heart.
I will never forget you!
My farewell goes to Auburn High School.
I don't care how much I have said that I hated this old Brick building, I have come to be comfortable with it.
And I just want to say,
'CONGRATS CLASS OF 2010! WE MADE IT THROUGH! ! !

For My Mother (For Charles James)
it is by the firm,
yet loving hand of my mother
that i am here today...
she taught me to read,
mathematics, reasoning,
and to question...
most of all,
she taught me to respect!
she beat her image of God
into every fibre of my being...
i've travelled far,
and sank low many times.
but i've always heard her voice,
seen her face in the night.
i am perhaps not
what she would have wanted,
but i am definitely me.
and i am her son!

Mothers Trials And Tribulations
You are my mother and you gave me life
You went thru trials and errors and sacrifice
Even with all the pains that you had gone through
To your beliefs you was always true.
You taught me that you must be the farmer of your heart
You must plow and plant the seeds of life
And protect it with all your might.
You taught me that what you reap you will sow
But you must give it time to grow.
Nothing can replace a mother
And love like yours there is no other.
As I look into your loving eyes - I see all
The possibilities which I can try.
You taught me that there is nothing that I can't do
And to myself I must be true.
All the mothers in GODS creations
Shows their children their love and patience
You are the soldiers who protect our hearts and minds
And your love will be with us till the ends of time.

Thank You Mom
always, always, and forever...
All, always, always, and forever...
(joel)
I'm sitting here i'm thinking back to a time when i was young...
My memory, is clear as day
I'm listening to the dishes clink, you were downstairs, you would sing
Songs of praise
And all the times we laughed with you, and all the times that you stayed true
To us
Now we'll say...
I said i thank you, we'll always thank you
More than you would know, than i could ever show
And i love you, i'll always love you
There's nothing i won't do, to say these words to you
That you're beautiful forever...
(chorus)
All, always, always, and forever...
You were my mom, you were my dad, the only thing i ever had was you, it's true
And even when the times got hard, you were there to let us know...that we'd get
Through
You showed me how to be a man, you taught me how to understand the things,
People do
You showed me how to love my god, you taught me that not everyone... knows the
Truth
And i thank you, we'll always thank you
More than you would know, than i could ever show
And i love you, we'll always love you
There's nothing i won't do, to say these words to you
That you will live forever...
(acoustic guitar solo)
Forever...
And ever...
(bridge)
Forever...
And ever...
I said i thank you, we'll always thank you
More than would know, than i could ever show
And i love you, we'll always love you...
There's nothing i won't do, to say these words to you
And i thank you, we'll always thank you...
More than you would know, than i could ever show
And i love you, we'll always love you
There's nothing i won't do, to say these words to say
That, you will never, ever...
Ohhhhhh...
