Seemingly Good Beset By Cowardice
I know certain things are run by idiocy, the most immoral and
unprincipled rise to the top; but what makes me wonder no end
is why seemingly moral people abet and support them, the only
reason is the seemingly good are also beset by cowardice, need
to relate to weaker specimens, feeling threatened by those with
high moral principles - which means the seemingly good are not
good underneath, just white-washed tombstones
Best is find the humour in their doings, laugh as the situation is
droll - I know the fragile peace between us only exist because I
traded freedom for advantages - however conditional - what use
would freedom be if you were not there to help me deal with the
duties of life - we only live in peace because I obey the law laid
down by physical force - and why not, being free and alone with-
out a home and family would be meaningless
New friends might reveal more of the shortcomings forming part
of life in captivity - after all, when I relate our farcical
discussions to my friend, we laugh no end; thus this relationship
affords food for the soul, sometimes I want equal rights but
if I wait long enough, the feeling subsides, I can leave this
task for another to complete; discrepancy between want and need
is illustrated by all, why should I want anything less
in my life; let me bow
Lick your shoes, say amen to all you say, be silent long enough;
let me be very obedient - facing a male prima donna is not my way,
I love quiet contemplation and peace, let me look down on the
world, see the unprincipled leading the way and be calm, what
does it matter what they do and say, as long as I manage to
keep my eye on the vision of what harmonies might be encountered
after this life of sorrow has passed…

Changing seasons,

The Song of Freedom - A Prayer Reflection on Mee Kamocha
When did we leave Egypt
And when did Egypt leave us?
When were the chains of slavery broken
And when did we finally truly feel free?
Freedom came in steps
It was part of the journey
From Egypt to Canaan
Our people took
And we can still take.
Freedom is courage and hope and clear vision
Freedom is walking to places we can’t see
Freedom in knowing that we can find food in the desert
Freedom is feeling safe though our houses are booths.
Freedom is choosing good rules to live by
And freedom is singing our very own song.
So with Moses and Miriam and all those who went with them
With all those before us who brought us to today

Family vs. Friends
Friends come in your life as ocean waves come and go.
You friends may be there one day and be gone the next.
Family is like blood, you need it to survive and it will always be there.
Family is there the day you are born and will be until the day you die.
Friends may be there for the short term, it is your family that will
remain by your side.
Always put your family first, friends should go second.
Family will be there to support you and catch you when you fall.
Friends may be good to talk to when you are feeling down,
but they might not be there when you need someone the most.
Family will be there to laugh and they will be there to cry.

You and Me. I laugh. (what you do to yourself)
You are you,
And I am me,
But you came to me,
And my friends,
You came into our arms,
when you were new,
Then you found THEM,
You left us for them,
You went to their side.
I look at you now and I laugh.
Not because your weird,
Or your dumb,
But because of your future.
I am me,
I know where i am in life.
I know my plan for the future,
I know I want to go to college,
And then graduate,
And be successful,
I know I have friends who really care and love me,
I work to get what I want,
I don't wait for it to be given to me,
Or wait to loose the chance of earning it,

I don't go out and party all night,

I don't blow off homework,

I get it out of the way,

to be famous,

Simply Me
I find the simple pleasures in life
To be the most beautiful
They make me feel...
Whole again..
Complete
They touch my soul
And make her sing
In ways those contrived things never can..
The way the grass dances in a light summer breeze
The way the sun cuts through gray clouds
And,
Hits the leaves on the trees
Making them glow from within...
This beautiful, sliver, peaceful, green
I love seeing bluebirds, hummingbirds, and dragonflies
Flying about with this freedom I long to have and feel
The woods are so inviting
To go exploring, getting lost in mossy green things
Come up unexpectedly on a clear blue stream
To lie down in some grassy place and look up at the sky
To see the starts at night
And forget the science
Just enjoy being insignificant in this universe
Appreciate their brilliance in the velvet night sky
Allow them to be something magical..

No longer having to deal with the hum drum of life

Not having to wake up early in the morning

Indulging in the best vanilla ice cream hot fudge sundae
That wonderful glass of wine
To laugh with true friends
I don't need many
As long as they are real
Perhaps I ask for too much
Asking for such a simple existence
Contrived things are so much easier to come by...
Maybe I long for simpler times
Only found in history books or fairy tales
But,
What does an old soul do
When she has a young spirit
I'm a bag of contradictions
Loving simple things and high end fashion
You can let it be, but, please try to do it in a way I'll like...
It's not a big deal...until it is...
I can forgive you your greatest faults
But I would never expect you to forgive me mine...
I'll try my hardest
Until I'm done..

You can't convince me to try...
If I make a mistake
I'll beat myself up over it
Longer than you can imagine
If you make a mistake

Before I Die
If I was to die next week
I wouldn't try to weap
I wouldn't try to cry
I wouldn't try to have hatred inside me

I will pray to the Lord to forgive everybody's sins

I would pray to the Lord hoping that life will never ruin anybody
If life was to ruin someone, I would want it to ruin me
