Emotional Icebergs
Friday afternoon, my powers spent,
no more wonderment, the long, slow
march through a document by a pom-
pous diplomat offering his services to
the Interpol Secretariat, without his
grandiose eloquence and expertise
the whole Spiel will flounder and sink,
he shall save them from calamity
My fight with my new red chair led to
adding a back support and marching
around the block for my health - too
tired to find victims to talk to - sliding
down that long grey slope people call
reality but which is only a small visible
part of the emotional icebergs which
make up confrontational life
I hope those who received my kindly
explanation that their opinion lacked
width and scope and depth will forgive
me and still be my friends - I never listen
to anybody, refusing to accept second-
hand information, I try everything for
myself, nobody should be angry for
my refusing the wisdom
They have gained by reading books, I
need to consult the author and feel the
sensation and have the experience

Best Things In Life
Brave all morning long, tackled
the threatening document, read
the sentences again, completed
the required Work-On-Hand sheet
Started on the ramblings of indigenous
people obliged for being acknowledged
as such - and sighed, my powers spent,
this long grey day seems to have no end
After the hairdresser trimmed the feathers
on my head, I have no more excuse to go
out into the rain - tired and bored I cannot
sit still in the office, yet this is where I am
Life is non-existent when no great ideal is
beckoning and only routine not worthy of
so much unwilling dedication is calling to
the restless spirit to laboriously continue
The long slow march into the vastness of
a cold destiny without hope for challenge
or exciting adventure - only hope is to
sink into a wonderful book, the source
Of all the best things in life…

A New Era Has Arrived
A new era has arrived
And yet those addicted
To long lasting habits
Are refusing to accept or move
From those times changed
And those who say
They are of strong faith with beliefs
Are the very same people
Who stand in the way
With attempts to block
This progress that proceeds.
A new era has arrived
And yet those addicted
To long lasting habits
Are refusing to accept or move
From those times changed
And
With a stubbornness they are convinced
If they demand with a protesting that commands
'Everything' for them will remain the same
Even if they take matters in their ignorant hands
As if particles of dust
Refusing to be blown away by wind

Before I Die
If I was to die next week
I wouldn't try to weap
I wouldn't try to cry
I wouldn't try to have hatred inside me
Before I die
I will pray to the Lord to forgive everybody's sins
And people to have a long, happy, and healthy life
I would pray to the Lord hoping that life will never ruin anybody
If life was to ruin someone, I would want it to ruin me
Before I die
I will spent my time talking to my friends and smile
I wouldn't try to put an angry frown on my face
I will forgive people even if they did something really disgraceful
Because it burdens me when I don't forgive someone
Before I die
I would try to make people around me happy
I would want people to view the world as if there's more kindness and less greediness
I would want the people to forgive easily and let their enemies become their friends
I would want the people around me to laugh a lot before I die
Before I die
I would make everything in peace
So in peace as if life couldn't get any better
People will laugh more instead of cry more
People will smile instead of frowning more
I want people to be optimistic
Before I die
I would want people to find the good things about other people and themselves
I would want the people not to judge others too quickly
I would want people to understand others even it's annoying them
I want the people to be patient and not be so greedy.
If some of these wishes came true
I would die peacefully
When I die
I hope people wouldn't show their tears
I hope I could die with a smile
And I hope that whatever I left behind
Will be something that I could remember when I look from Heaven.
On Books
Books are my first love, I’m so proud to read;
They give me knowledge and help life to lead;
Hours, days just pass by, by reading life-time;
Life would not be worth, if not for my rhyme.
Great are those people who write books all life;
Burning just candles, with Goose-quills in strife;
Tired of writing though day-long or night,
They keep on writing in such a bad light.
Books serve a great cause; their value can’t cease;
It takes years to write but reading is ease;
Book-makers struggle to print a few books;
And keep spending time to, improve their looks.
Some find their way to libraries in town;
Some remain untouched and nev’r taken down;
Silver-fish, Moths eat the books that are old;
Some are gone obsolete, some sold like gold.
Some are in tatters and must be rebound;
Books are Man’s best friends where solace is found;
Reading for long hours, does help you to learn;
Books give much knowledge and wisdom to men.
Read books with great care whose weight is in gold;
Serve generations though they may be old;
Source of much Info, deserving respect;
Books are life-partners whom you ne’er reject!

I've Spent To Long
I've spent to long not caring,
I've spent to long away,
And now you want me back,
To live just like before,
You want to take my hand again,
You want my love to stay,
But I've spent to long not caring,
And my love it flew away.
I've spent to long in solitude,
I've spent to long in hope,
And now you want me in your arms,
To stay and hold you close,
You want to take my love again,
Feel despair take it's place,
But I've spent to long in solitude,
And you've lost this blood soaked race.
I've spent to long not caring,
Spent to long away,
Spent to long denying,
I've spent to long awake,
And now you want my slumber,
You want a love to stay,
But I've spent to long not caring,
And love? It fades away.

Whose Truth Is Reality?
Whose truth is reality?
And why are the many eyes focused upon it,
Seeing reality quite differently?
With many refusing,
To believe in any of it at all.
It is odd how those say they do know God exist.
With bragging rights about their religious affiliations.
But ask one of them,
When was it they stepped out of their way...
Based solely on their faith?
Do you get a look in return that offends?
Or...
Do you get a sermon to hear,
With scriptures quoted...
To make their beliefs understood.
And for some reason...
Their carrying a Bible should make that clear?
And that question you had asked,
Goes unanswered.
As an excuse is made,
To leave from your presence...
As fast as they came.
And under their breath you are called a name.
People are not up to that task.
Disguising 'your' reality...
They prefer to hide,
Behind 'their' masks!
Whose truth is reality?
Really?
And why are the many eyes focused upon it,
Seeing reality quite differently?
With many refusing,
To believe in any of it at all.

As Long As I Shall Live
As long as I shall live I shall live with other people
And god will be there for me
As long as I shall sleep in a warm bed during the winter
I shall have my dreams
As long as I live I shall have friends
As long as I live I will listen to music because music is healing
And sometimes I feel tha my sould and me can benefit withthe music
As long as I live I shall see some Clear blue sky
As long as I live I shall have friends
As long as I live I will try to end my depression
As long as I live I shall sing the blues
As long as I live I shall have no depression anymore because there will Be people to support me in my daily life
As long as I live I shall be hungry for God's word

Follow Me
(denver)
Its by far the hardest thing Ive ever done
To be so in love with you and so alone
Follow me where I go
What I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me up and down
All the way and all around
Take my hand and say youll follow me
Its long been on my mind
You know its been a long long time
Ive tried to find a way that I could make you understand
The way I feel about you
And just how much I need you
To be there when I can talk to you
When theres no one else around
Follow me where I go
What I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me up and down
All the way and all around
Take my hand and say youll follow me
You see, Id like to share my life with you
And show you things Ive seen
Places that Im going to
And places where Ive been
To have you there beside me, well never be alone
And all the time that youre with me
Then we will be at home
Follow me where I go
What I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me up and down
All the way and all around
Take my hand and say youll follow me

Ill Fight For You
Im turning to you, when love is on my mind
Youre all I want, woman, and loves so hard to find
I know that I hurt you, and I know that I was wrong
But I want you back, back where you belong
And I wont give you up, no I wont walk away
I hope and I pray, I hope and I pray
Youll forgive me someday
Ill fight for you, Ill give you all I got to give
Ill fight for you, as long as we both should live
Ill search for heaven each day
And together, well find a way
And Ill fight for you darlin
Ill fight for you baby, cause Ive waited too long for love
Youre all of my life, and every time I look at you
I keep tellin myself, youre the one thing I just cant lose
Our love runs so deeply, cant you feel it in your heart
cause girl weve got something, that no one can tear apart
Im tellin you now, this love, it just cant be wrong
Oh, it cant be wrong
And I wont give you up cause Ive waited too long
Oh, Ive waited too long for love
Ill fight for you, Ill give you all I got to give
Ill fight for you, as long as we should live
Ill search for heaven each day
And together, well find a way
And Ill fight for you darlin
Ill fight for you...

Bunbury Afternoon
England in the summer is a pretty sight
Flowers in the meadow in the morning light
You know , satisfy the song inside
And the dream is making you care , evrybody smiles
And the dream is taking you there
Theres a little bit of heaven on the village green
And the bunbury eleven that you never see
And they take all comers in the month of june
On a friday , saturday , sunbury afternoon
On a friday , saturday , bunbury afternoon
On a friday , saturday , bunbury afternoon
They all say it couldnt be real
Shakin their head in wonder
Makin it long drive home
And when the sun and the moment is gone
Breakin that spell were under
We played a part in the heart of a beautiful memory
Theres a baby in a cradle and a wise old man
Young lovers happy to be hand in hand
Evrybody finds their way
They will learn the secret in time
Theres a ring on her finger
And a love that shows
And the bunbury eleven say the rumor goes
They re married in the church in the month of june
On a friday , saturday , sunbury afternoon
On a friday , saturday , bunbury afternoon
On a friday , saturday , bunbury afternoon
Theres a wind in the willows
When the day is done
People disappearing in the golden sun
You know , evrybody smiles
Theres a little bit of heaven on ....

Kitchen Bitches
Round table they all meet, set up in the kitchen.
They had a book highlighted with their so call friends name,
They all did their homework report and came to tell about the information that they've gather.
Pour their tea ready to talk about anecdotes,
the conversation is backbiting about their friends life
The kitchens bitches spread intimating rumors about they friends who live way better than the kitchen bitches
They begin with 'word of the mouth is! '
They love to gossip, it is like a rush they need every week,
this meeting make them feel good about themselves and also put them in the right mood
'Gossip conference is over, so next week lets meet at a new location! '
Their small minds discuss people, but they're blind to see that they own life is more mess up than anyone on the block.
Kitchen bitches only dislike gossip is when you gossip about them.
Ever member of the kitchen bitches even talk about the misssing member when they move to a different kitchen.

All Along The Watchtower
There must be some kinda way way out of here
Oh said the joker to the thief
I want to tell you now
You know theres just too much confusion
And I cant no I cant get no relief
Ah these businessmen they all they drink our wine
And the plowman well he dig my earth
And you know that ah none of them along the line
Can show me what any of this is worth
You know we wanted to see it now didnt we
Didnt we
There aint no reason to get excited
Ah the thief you know he kindly spoke
Well now there are those among us right here right now
Who still see life as some kind of a joke
But you and I we have been through that
I tell you that this this is not our fate no no no
Now let us all not talk falsely now
You know the hour well its getting late
I said all along the watchtower
The princes they kept the view
While the women the women
They came and then they went
And barefoot servants too
Thats me thats you
But outside theres a cold distance
Listen for the wildcats
Here them growl
Two riders were approaching
As the wind began to howl
I said now shelter me
Oh there are those among us right here right now
Who still see life as some kind of a joke
All along the watchtower
I said all along this watchtower
Those of you who still have eyes to see
Ears hear me
You will be saved by grace in the end
Saved by time if you dont understand
That your hatred is rooted in your fear
And your paranoia and insecurities
Well they dont belong here
You got to take someones hand
You got to learn to make your stand
And its one two three four
Look at the sky you can open the door
And take my hand
Take my hand
Take my hand
Ah dont you want to touch
Dont you want to feel
Dont you know that this is real
I said shelter me
Shelter me
Shelter me
Shelter me
And save yourself
Save yourself
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save your
Save
And you
You
And you are a part of the world
You you are a part of the world
You gotta learn to touch to feel
And know that you are real
I said learn learn
You are a part of the world

People People
People, people wherever you are
Wake and listen
It wont take long
People, people wherever you are
Father wants to hear from you all
Its a shame but its no tragedy
Youve been gone much too long
Cant you see running scared
Please come back to me
Dieux vouis appelle
Callin
People, people wherever you are
Wake and listen
It wont take long
People, people wherever you are
Father wants to hear from all you
Its a shame but its no tragedy
Youve been gone much too long
Cant you see running scared
Theres still time to get in touch
With me
Dieux vouis appelle
This bulletin just in
Another story of a run-away child
Whose anguished father wants her
Back home
If anyone has any information
Regarding her whereabouts
Please call this emergency number
432-8360
She contemplates just for a moment
She turns again to get it straight
Takes the phone and dials
The number
Just in time to hear him say
Its a shame but its no tragedy
Youve been gone much too long
Cant you see running scared
Please come back to me
Call people please call
People please call
People please call
People please call
People please call me
Ooh call me
Dieux vouis appelle
People, people wherever you are
Father wants you to give him a call
People, people wherever you are
Wake and listen it wont take long
People, people wherever you are
Father wants you to give him a call

How Long Is Short Time
How long or short is Time?
Got up early sat on a chair not reading or watching TV,
time has been running too fast lately into the sand
of a desert that doesn’t bloom; must slow time down
to a trickle. After breakfast I went for a walk and took
no interest in what I saw, back in my chair looking at
the clock, yes the forenoon was endless and I was
hungry, and finally lunch. In the afternoon I went for
another walk, didn’t buy a paper I only get engrossed
in what I read and time flies. Back home I sat in my chair
watched a dipteral circle around, fell asleep and when
I awoke it was seven in the evening, time I had saved
that day had been wasted by me snoozing in a chair.

The experience to be gathered from books, Though often valuable, is but of the nature of learning Whereas the experience gained from actual life, Is of the nature of wisdom And a small store of the latter Is worth vastly more than a stock of the former.

Only You Can Make That Decision
Are you disillusioned and fed up with your life,
Do you feel it's no longer worth living?
We're all partly responsible for our own strife,
There are times it can be so unforgiving.
Accept you can't get everything you want,
What goes around comes around is true,
Do nothing in life that can come back to haunt,
Or believe me it will come back on you.
Never make promises you know you can't keep,
Don't try to change things that cannot be changed,
A broken pledge will make more than you weep,
It will leave you feeling deranged.
Conflict and debt only bring on a tear,
Never buy what you cannot afford,
By saving for luxuries you'll have nothing to fear,
Future problems will no longer be stored.
Do it today stop saying tomorrow,
Start Living within your means,
Doing the opposite will only bring sorrow,
That's when chaos convenes.
Stay true to yourself and success will follow,
Never try to be someone you're not,
By being yourself you need never feel hollow,
Be thankful for what you have got.
Only you can choose the life you will lead,
Listen and learn that way you'll stay wise,
When warned of the dangers, always take heed,
Seek the truth and dispel any lies.
Learn about life and know right from wrong,
Determine the fakes from the frauds,
That way you'll find out where you belong,
We're all capable of defying the odds.
Treasure your family and all those around,
Keep your enemies at arms length,
Ensure you keep your feet on the ground,
Wisdom will be your ultimate strength.
Get rid of the deadwood they just bring on hate,
You can become a real go-getter,
It's you, who's in charge of your own fate,
You know you can do much better.
There is nothing in life you cannot achieve,
As long as you've the mind and the guile,
You can do anything is what you must believe,
Those aspirations will bring on a smile.
If you fall to the ground get back on your feet,
Nobody's perfect we all make mistakes,
Convince yourself that you will not be beat,
It's through knowledge that our spirit awakes.
Work hard at learning and toil with a will,
Pass on to others the wisdom you've gained,
Having more friends than enemies is truly a skill,
You'll be proud of what you've attained.
Life comes but once it's yours to enjoy,
The experience can be full of mystique,
Common sense is what you must deploy,
It makes you precious and truly unique.
When you think of yourself to achieve your dreams,
You can chart your future with precision,
Fight for your rights they are yours to defend,
How,
Soon It's Yourself You Will Hate
Never be afraid to say sorry,
Though it's only a five letter word,
Not to admit it when you're in the wrong,
Can only be classed as absurd.
Doing so can bring all of you so much relief,
In being sorry there's joy to be found,
Not to can lead you to serious grief,
When you discover they're no longer around.
Make sure you look before you leap,
The secret's to admit when you're wrong,
Refusing to acknowledge this will just cause affray,
Saying sorry shows others you're strong.
An apology can make you feel better,
You will soon be back on your feet,
The one whose been wronged will be happy,
You'll be working from a clean sheet.
On saying sorry there is no limit of time,
Be it a minute or a number of years,
It will set you up for a sunnier clime,
Then rid you of the need for more tears.
Never go to sleep on an argument,
It will cause you such terrible stress,
You'll just lie awake all night long,
Thinking, I created this mess.
Hindsight it's said is that wonderful thing,
Problem is it's all in the past,
Apologise and see what the future will bring,
It can make a relationship last.
If you're in the wrong please be honest,
To all concerned you must make amends,
If you don't it will just lie and fester,
That's how a relationship ends.
Never let pride blind your decision,
If you've erred then accept you're to blame,
Word your apology with precision,
Or it's you who'll be left feeling shame.
Saying sorry is never a weakness,
It shows others you are fully aware,
When you're at fault you'll admit it,
This shows others just how much you care.
Make your apology free from all pretence,
Not to is so insincere,
For trying to deceive there'll be no defence,
The consequences could cost you dear.
To err is human to forgive is divine,
Saying sorry is the right thing to do,
What it takes is courage and respect,
It allows everyone to start life anew.
If there's an apology you need to make,
Do it now before it's too late,
By refusing to it's not just yourself you forsake,
'' Soon It's Yourself You Will Hate ‘'
Count Yourself Lucky
Every time you frown when I speak and
stop me summarily - I get angry - then
remember the formula to stop my self-
righteous indignation escalating:
Reminding myself I am guilty of doing the
same thing, I also refuse to listen when
you wax boring, we learn not to mention
things we don't want to be hurt about
I also learn to say no when you ask me
to do a thing I heartily detest - your cold
approach teaches to be happy refusing
favours when I feel quite obstinate
After exposure to your caustic refusals
to listen to me! (Can it so bad to listen
to my explanation of Silent Night and
a fiery redhead being unfaithful?
It is only pure, terrible stupidity which
prevents me from doing the same; as
well as lack of natural beauty -
count yourself lucky!)

Good Friday
Weve been avoiding this for so long
Luxury is temporary than its gone
I thought that we would happen
I guess Im wrong
Well say hi on the street,
Then well move along
I know this will be awkward
But not for long
Cause soon youll have a new boy
To sing you songs
Chorus
I will not forgive you
Nor will I accept the blame
I will see you on good friday
On good friday
Im sorry I couldnt do this yesterday
And tomorrow I am busy and what
It is I cant say
And saturdays no good
I got a show
So its got to be good friday
Then its so long
Bridge
You, you come and go when you please
I know unfulfilled heads
I know you do too
But i, you know I never see
Things through,
Never paid attention to you
But honey I tried.

Save Me Instead
Rima never watches scary movies while I never read
sad books; trusting Jean Ure to be a good author for
children, I read her book, expecting the abused kids
to escape nasty parents – it did not happen; leaving
me with a gaping hole in my heart
The whole world bathed in a sad grey light, yet it was
necessary to feel this sadness tonight, felt melancholic
and useless all day: my eighteen year old kid getting
angry at me and nearly crashing, not stopping at stop
streets and barging in front of people
Not listening to me, stalling the car on a steep incline,
stalling on the road because changing gears down is
too much effort for the lofty ‘Madame’, I am a failure
as driving instructor, a failure at work, no documents
received for processing, no idiots writing
To the President, they might have made me angry, but
it would have meant being useful- I’m only an oxygen
thief trying to learn about quantum physics instead of
trying to meet demanding requirements, this is most
unsettling, my mind is unhinged, I’m lost
I have nothing to rant and rave about, just the cold
knowledge that I have nothing to dream about after
reading the world is well-ordered and does not need
saving, if I cannot save it, the world must save me
instead, give me a goal to accomplish…
