Sunrise to Sunset.......

Sun shines slowly on the horizon,
Rising from the gloomy dawn;
Morning dew shies away,
Misty clouds make way;
Hot noon and evening,
Illuminating things living;
As twilight sets in soon,
Dawn brings in moon;
Cool breeze so rustic,
Makes me feel mystic.

Early Morning, The

morn
things burst
from within me
the ocean wave
the cries of seagulls
sweep of vapours
those few twinkling stars
and the shiny planet
that slowly loses itself
in the glare of daylight
in me a flower blooms
the day that slowly dawns
light inches itself into me
the way the petals slowly
spread themselves out
welcoming each day
gracing it with such beauty
each of my acts i make sure
would make the day worth it
my heart slowly blooms
like the roses every new day
every mistake, a sting on the petal
by an unwelcomed ant

Longing

The hills slope down to the valley, the streams run down to the sea,
And my heart, my heart, O far one! sets and strains towards thee.
But only the feet of the mountain are felt by the rim of the plain,
And the source and soul of the hurrying stream reach not the calling main.

The dawn is sick for the daylight, the morning yearns for the noon,
And the twilight sighs for the evening star and the rising of the moon.
But the dawn and the daylight never were seen in the self-same skies,
And the gloaming dies of its own desire when the moon and the stars arise.

The Springtime calls to the Summer, ``Oh, mingle your life with mine,''
And Summer to Autumn 'plaineth low, ``Must the harvest be only thine?''
But the nightingale goes when the swallow comes, ere the leaf is the blossom fled;
And when Autumn sits on her golden sheaves, then the reign of the rose is dead.

And hunger and thirst, and wail and want, are lost in the empty air,
And the heavenly spirit vainly pines for the touch of the earthly fair.
And the hills slope down to the valley, the streams run down to the sea,
And my heart, my heart, O far one! sets and strains towards thee.

Magic Mystic Light

Magic is the mystic glow,
Of the full moon's radiant light.
And though it rises ever slow,
From the sky it shines so bright.

There is a certain magic in the moon,
With clouds streaming across it's face.
As you stare it makes you swoon,
In it's magical embrace.

Illuminating everything at night,
Like a Goddess in he sky.
With her magic mystic light,
Blessing her children from on high.

Beginning Starts Here

Standing on the beach at sunset
As the sun begins to disappear
Setting the horizon a fiery glow
We hold each others hand
Feel the salty freshness from the sea
Wafted over us by a cool evening breeze

Slowly we walk along the sands
Leaving the old world behind
Just you and me
Keeping an eye open
For any treasures
We might stumble across and find

The stillness of the twilight
As the sun sets in the west
The hiss of the gentle breaking waters
Arms around shoulders now
Getting closer to whisper in your ear
Because our beginning starts here

Sunrise, Sunset

O Sun, When you rise,
It’s morning dawn.
When you set,
It’s evening dusk.

O Sun, Seeing your beauty lighting
Shining on landscape from dawn
Shining on seascape from dusk
It comes from dawn to dusk.

O Sun, rise from East
O Sun, set to West
From East to West,
Celestial light comes and go,
Seasons come and go.

Here come four seasons
North to South, East to West
From Spring comes Autumn,
From Summer comes Winter.

O Sun, From rising East
To setting West
O Moon, Come rising East
To setting West

Cycle never end,
It’s endless cycle,
Seeing sunset every dusk,
Seeing sunrise every dawn.

Making us pondering..
Make us wondering
Where, When will be next..
Sunrise, sunset..

And You Neve Say You Love Me

The moon shines her love on the darkened girth,
The magic of night fall pulls into the twilight zone,

Dreams of you sleep with me, ,
The dawn brings the daylight to the night

The sun ray's his love on mother earth.
Our love has had its dawn,

Has the dusk darkened thee?
For you never say you love me

A New Dawn

This is a tribute poem, an alternative version
of 'A New Dawn' by poet Matthew De Gasperi.
It is shared here by his kind permission...

Imagine Jesus speaking to the multitudes.
I believe that this version is the sort of thing
that He would share with them, along the lines
of the Sermon On The Mount... Even so, it is
the rising of the Son at Easter that is the
most important New Dawn for Mankind.

A New Dawn

As the changing of the seasons gives rise to new life,
So the rising of the sun gives birth to a new day.
Free from the worries of yesterday,
A breath of fresh air blows across your face
And all things become new...
No regrets, only mistakes...
So forgive and forget.

Those haunting memories creep in at random,
Disturbing the moment,
Distracting, destroying what they may,
Yet in quiet reflection, be still...
For it’s only in the mind...
Learn to feel, not to react.

Patience... Time... Peace... Tranquillity...
Pain will diffuse, anger will dissipate,
Fear will disappear... and sadness will turn to joy...
So have faith,
For the things that are, will not always be...
They are temporary.

It’s simply said... but difficult to do...
It takes time... and patience...
Do not fear, for you, too,
Can experience inner peace.

Let the healing rain wash you clean...
Let the sun's rays illuminate your face
And feel the cool, cool breeze...
Watch the trees blow in the wind,
Feel the moist earth,
Look at the clouds passing by...
The song of the heart is full of overflowing emotions...
Sometimes lacking, yet still at peace...

Sun and the old man

Sun and the old man
It was an early morning.
Cool and mild breeze were blowing.
The sun was rising from the east.
Its beautiful red rays were calm and cool
and
were looking like the beautiful face of a bride.
However, in the noon, the scenario has been changed.
The sun rays were hot and cruel
They were looking like a cruel angry man.
In the evening, the sun was going to set in the west.
The sun rays were cool and calm.
They were looking like the stretched hands of an old man
lying on the bed.

Summer Is Here

I hear the sounds of children at play,
as the sun has turned
the black clouds of rain away.
Summer is here
and laughter fills the air,
flowers fill the gardens
with colour everywhere.
After a hard days work
you feel free,
some will sit the evening out
eyes glued to the TV.
Not for me the little box,
rather an evening stroll.
Then sit to rest
my weary bones somewhere,
letting the cool evening breeze
dance with my hair.
As I sit quietly
absorbing all around.
Watching the sun
sink slowly in the west.
Breathing in the cool evening air,
as night begins to call.

Knowing time in ancient time

‘Get up! be ready! time for prayer.'
Today, clock alarm chants to ears.

When Tessa's grandma was twelve years old,
her grandma counted age, the springs rolled.
Heavenly bodies sun, moon and stars
used to tell time to her forefathers.
When planets will set and when will rise
naturally guessed time they were so wise.
Day divided, morning, noon, evening
dusk, mid-night, dawn; the nights.
Shadows displayed; noon, fore or after
stick stuck in ground evolved sundial.
Doodle-doo said dawn is going to break
chirping birds yelled get up from the bed.

Natures Call Save The Forest Of The Night

Dimmed to infiltrate the forest of the night
The single lamp post of the moon,
Shines her recycled yesterday’s sunshine,
The leaves move in harmony rustling the tune
With the floor moving with life with extreme evening sight,
The staccato’s beat sets the rhythm.
Nothing escapes the damp drapes of the silent breeze,
All creatures are hungry it’s time to forage,
Nature’s rule every living thing knows eat or be eaten.
The snake consumes the stolen egg,
Bird eats the worm
Spider mummifies the fly,
The leopard dines on the weak.
The trees feel immune until
Elephant hunger‘s early morning grasp strips the tree
The flesh eating cat slumbers
Dreaming of his lions share,
The bird with a broken wing wears a coat of ants,
Life goes on as dawn approaches as
The dung beetle is happy for his larvae’s lunch,
Then time takes the evening away with the
Praying mantis who did not enjoy her sex,
So consumes her lover,
In the forest of the night.
As the early morning bird doth sing
Mankind consumes everything,

Coaxing Mother nature's wrath to sting!

The Morning Light

Say hello to the dawn’s arrival
Open your eyes to a brand new day
Lift your head to feel the sun’s blessing
The morning light will show you the way
The morning light will show you the way
Each gentle ray blesses the living
We all reach out for its energy
Its gentle warmth it will caress you
The morning light will show you the way
The morning light will show you the way
For every tree and every flower
That dances in the sun
For children playing in the daytime
And having their fun
For every broken heart that sees the
Light of day
The morning light will show you the way
The morning light will show you the way
Illuminating all that it touches
Brings out the color of the world
Its warmth it gives us good feelings

The morning light will show us the way
The morning light will show us the way
For every tree and every flower
That dances in the sun
For every childhood smile
That touches everyone
For every life that we are given
For every dream realized
The morning sun will show you the way
The morning sun will show you the way

Living After Midnight

Living after midnight, rockin to the dawn
Lovin til the morning, then Im gone, Im gone
I took the city bout one a.m, loaded, loaded
Im all geared up to score again, loaded, loaded
I come alive in the neon light
Thats when I make my moves right
Living after midnight, rockin to the dawn
Lovin til the morning, then Im gone, Im gone
Got gleaming chrome, reflecting steel, loaded, loaded
Ready to take on every deal, loaded, loaded
My pulse is racing, Im hot to take
This motors revved up, fit to break
Living after midnight, rockin to the dawn
Lovin til the morning, then Im gone, Im gone
Im aiming for ya
Im gonna floor ya
My bodys coming
All night long
The airs electric, sparkin power, loaded, loaded
Im getting hotter by the hour, loaded, loaded
I set my sights and then home in
The joint starts flying when I begin
Living after midnight, rockin to the dawn
Lovin til the morning, then Im gone, Im gone
(repeat and fade)

Noli Me Tangere

We watched the dawn breaking across the sea
While just above us hung the evening star.
The nearer waters took a hint of white
And clouds and waves together massed afar,
Narrowed our morning world of pallid light
Till dawn seemed very close to you and me.
'Nay, dawn, stay farther off. Be Magdalen.
Go back into the distance whence you came.
The Near is meaningless when Far is nought,'
So I; and you. 'Wait but a little then,
And day, whole day, uprising like a flame,
Will show us the far reaches of our thought.'

I Am The Dawn

Sun splashed drops of sugar candy
White gold flicks of molten light
A horizon boysenberry stained
Quick to come and fast to leave
Oh fickle is the dawn

I am this ever-changing dawn
Sweet and pleasing; a lovers candy
Yet men forget how quick I leave
Fleeting as those pale beams of morning moon light
"Come and stare, " they say " at this rising sun."
They yearn a kiss of my passion red lips stained

I am the harlot you see at night, shadow stained
Most who see me don't believe I am a child of the dawn
But as my grandmother would always say all women are part sun
She knew what I couldn't see, that I was sunlit orange candy
That even those who lives are lived in midnight darkness, must have star light
She told me that some lights never leave

To watch, dream and wish and my sun would never leave
But fickle and young I became stained
I forgot what I could be with light
I never watched the rising dawn
Dreamed of clouds of soft spun candy
Or wished of flying in the warming sun

I spent my thoughts in corners hidden from beams of sun
"I bid you leave me" I would yell, "Leave! "
Then in my night a man came to me with a gift of sunlit orange candy
A man so young, I called him boy, his cheeks becoming sunrise red stained
It was like he hadn't noticed I was living night, he called me dawn
No man had ever reminded me of my light

"I am a shadow! " And he would protest, "Even shadows need light"
""But I am wicked", "Yes", he would say, "So is the sun"
"But I am fickle", "Ah and so is the dawn"
"Stop! " he shouts "enough I will not leave"
I know you think you are darkened and stained
But to me you are filled of sunlit orange candy

So glow my dawn, your love filled light
You are my toot-sweet candy, my bright and burning sun
I am your light that shall not leave; your sunrise whirl has me stained

The Evening Breeze

Often, I lie solus,
On white sand-banks
Of the large pond
In my ancestral land,
When the evening breeze
Gently touches the divinity,
Hidden somewhere in mortal body:
I feel I cannot normally feel.

Oh! I wish the evening breeze,
Too heavenly and wondrous,
Brought out my grandmother
Sleeping just under,
With whom I used to enjoy the breeze,
On these sands white,
In green days, later became defoliate!
Indeed, it can if it willed.

The evening breeze brings
Smell of soap suds,
Which forms on mind-board
The damsel in the nude;
Soon, the breeze brings
Holiest odour
Of frankincense and incense smoulder:
So in the breeze I sin and purge.

Often, I lay tired on sands;
All sweat drops dried in the evening breeze;
All my spirit revived;
And fresh morrow waited.
Evening chants of diverse creeds:
All in breeze united.
Seraphic breeze pats on every head,
Still nobody sees it.

My Soul, Afire

The rising sun sets my soul afire
At the dawning of every new day-
I see life as a new beginning-
Cardinals, robins, blue jays and finches
Carry on with their tune as the
Orchestra of a gentle spring like breeze
Rustles the newly unfolded leaves upon every tree-
Alone to enjoy the mystery of the woodlands-
The sun’s rays shining through the
Branches of the maple trees-
Dogwood blossoms both crimson pink and white
Against a sky of cerulean blue
Evoke a chorus from my spirit-
A hymn of freedom and ecstasy, as
My spirit and soul have been reborn.
As the day progresses
I am overcome by fear and
At the noon of the day the sun rises above the mountains
The world comes out from hiding-
This is the time when strangers become invasive,
Clouds overtake the light and
The rain begins to fall.
Thunder would clap and rain would pour downward in a
Spitefully intrusive manner
Quenching the magical flames
That had my spirit and soul dancing to the
Early morning symphony that the world has
Maliciously taken aback-
When the night takes over
I see the full moon ascend over the horizon and the
Stars are bright-
The stars are bright and Mars is a brilliant red while
Venus winks at me with its eyes of green-
Stars and planets are gratifyingly beautiful in their own way, though
Light years away-
If I listen vigilantly-
I can hear ancient music imminent from
The stars and planets in the vastness of the universe as
The moon appears above the treetops-
It shines its light upon me and sets my spirit dancing and once again-
Sets my soul afire-

Dusk to dawn

Dusk to dawn

The sunset sets the sky alight.
With flames if incandescent red
and nameless colours just as bright
The western skies gold burnish’ed.
The setting sun puts up a fight
but he is overpower 'ed
Must needs surrender to the night.
Reluctantly retire to bed
But come the morn he is reborn.
Refreshed he puts the night to flight.
Rising from pale pink clouds at dawn
He demonstrates his sovereign right
He knows by night the moon reflects
his burning rays as he expects.

A peace of mind...

When I wake up from my bed in the morning
My saturate eyes open slowly and welcomes the morning sun
Then I feel warm and comfortable at peace of mind
The morning smell of the earth reminds me my childhood
The wetness of flora brings me cool breeze.
I was born in this universe with peaceful nature around me
Then, I always felt that I was a star on my own brightness.
Learned, the love and kindness brings me a peace of mind
Learned, the prayers for God brings me a peace of mind
Learned, the help for helpless brings me a peace of mind
Learned, the life of peace brings me a peace of mind
When my saturate eyes close slowly and welcomes the silent night
Then I fall sleep comfortably at peace of mind while praying God
to have another peaceful day.
