In Despair

What is the world coming to?
Though carrying weapons is taboo
Children are happy totting the gun,
Whether to settle scores or just for fun.

When did innocence get lost and things changed?
It some how seems shocking and strange.
Too much T V, films is the reason
Reason elders for this violence and aggression.

Isn’t there lack of communication?
This has had deeper ramifications.
The young yearn for someone to share
Their confusion, but no one has time to spare.

If you are not there when your child needs you,
You will be the last to know what he brews
When he turns to his peers
To share his angst and fears.

A child is born out of a moment of ecstasy,
It is sad then you become too busy
To teach your child right from wrong,
And make him morally strong

Did you consider the likelihood
Of sacrifices you’ll have to make for parenthood?
And teach him to stand his ground
And not be bullied by any hound.

It is time to figure out
How to bring a turnabout.
In order to sort out this mess
Everyone has to try to impress
That none is above the law.
We have to overcome our flaws,
So our kids do not go astray.
Good sense prevails, I hope and pray.
Its already late
Don’t leave their future to chance and fate.

This Child

This child is born. The world has changed.
Many lives are rearranged.
A chance that never lived before
To change the world forevermore.
A miracle still not understood,
This birth, another chance for good.

Fleeting time will leave its mark.
Therefore, from first day disembark
On earth’s uncertain, curtained road,
Rich with hope mid heavy load;
Like doubts and fears and, yes, betrayal.
But true love can lift each veil.

So love this child and don’t forget
The seconds race now that you’ve met.
No time’s too late nor challenge great
To embrace this child and guide its fate.

Children's Special...

Every child is born with a gift,
and there is a day to celebrate it.
A child is your treasure given by God,
Be blessed so, and pray to the Lord,
for that child gives you happiness,
Gone are your day's of loneliness.

Childhood does not last,
Every child remembers the past,
It depends on how you groom,
Give the child more than a room.

A child carries an ocean of innocence,
not knowing it's consequence,
does a deed that is not desired,
Many parents have always admired.

Thinking of a day for children,
is a wonderful thought,
Cherish every moment of what they have brought,
to you with their playful minds,
which do leave a trail of joy in your mind.

Remember your own childhood days,
make it more than special today,
make the children feel how good you felt that day,
when you celebrated the children's day,
in your childhood days.

Make me like a child

Lord, outside it’s pouring
and every thing ugly
I want to wash from me,
to fall in pools
at my feet.

Again to stand like a child
in the rain,
without worry
about where everything is going.

To rollick in bright drops
that hit splashing
against me

and to know with innocence
that everything comes from Your hand
and around me
every leave, branch, tree and flower
pays their homage to You.

You control even thunderbolts
and You are the One
that stops savage winds,
give life to an earth
that yearns for water.

l’Envoi
Lord, teach me
to serve You better and to understand,
and like a child to go to You
and in trust
to look at Your works
and to know that in everything
Your mighty hand
still folds around me protecting
and that all things
are possible and practicable to You.

Lord, again give to me
the trust and innocence of a child
that with my hope centred on You
I attempt to build my things
and although
the world about me blinds me,
like a scared child
to take Your strong hand in mine
and teach me
to keep You in my heart again.

Through a Childs Eyes

The world to us is a disgrace,
No hope is there for the human race,
People fighting endless wars,
Through no reason, to settle scores,

Crime is on the increase,
Drugs abuse is a problem now,
How do we protect our children,
For I fear we don't know how,

Well look at life through a childs eyes,
Through there innocence they will cope, ,
They don't see this world as dangerous,
But a place thats full of hope,

They don't look at the colour of skin,
When with friends they want to play,
They don't comment on religion,
Or which way that you should pray,

They are happy to play with anyone,
They just want to be friends,
Innocence is wonderful I think,
It has no need to make amends,

So if we teach them well enough,
Maybe they will interact,
And come to some agreement,
Maybe one day make it fact,

That this world with all its greed and hate,
Its bloody battles, wars and lies,
Could improve so dramatically,
If we looked through a childs eyes

Sadness into one Heart

Sadness into one Heart
as child we look up to our
elders we teach from them
watch the steam a rose bloom
that is how a child bring up
to watch the sadness of child
bring tears to the parents
we shine for a while now these
days we watch our babies grow
up but some children are still
a child them as they still babies
themselves child heart beats
little heart wonder how there
future holds when you walk outside
all I saw is buggies everywhere
to see the sadness of a child
is not ready to be having a baby
on themselve prayers go out
to them and strenth they would have
sadness by a child and a parent

This Child of Bethlehem

This child will teach us how to love,
and let us hope again.
This child draws nurture from a girl,
protectiveness from man.
This child can make a family
where there was none before,
and make us crave the crafts of peace
and not the arts of war.

This child, now born, will change the world
from mundane to Divine.
The wisdom of this innocent
trumps all the years of mine.

Our Child

this is our child.
not just yours or mine
but everyones, that are born in our time.

a child is born every minute around this world
beautiful boys and girls.
these children are gifts from god.

and he has chosen you to be the one
who will carry the daughter or son

look into any childs face and you will see
that they belong to you and me.

the child has a bit of all humanity
this is the way god meant it to be.

these are the children of peace
the children of love
given to us from god above.
.
i read in the papers of childrens lives taken
because of anger, fear, sickness and hate.
lets stop them before it too late

put them in jail and throw away the key.
just so that children can sleep peacefully.

if as a child you was abused, neglected, and not loved
then it's time for you to change your life around
and not let these children die on the ground.

stand up and fight, and take
pride in what you do.
the child you save, could have been you.

Color

Children don't see color in a human face.
All that they see is the human race.

Little child of brown
come let's swing around.
Little child of black
let's play piggy-back.
Little child of white
let's go fly a kite.
Little child of yellow
come share my marshmallow.

When you get all grown up,
I hope that you won; t change.
Can you remember all the fun
when our faces were not strange?

Innocence is fleeting.
All too soon it's lost.
Now we notice colors
and look what it has cost.

Wild Child

Ever close your eyes
ever stop and listen
ever feel alive
and you've nothing missing
you don't need a reason
let the day go on and on

Let the rain fall down
everywhere around you
give into it now
let the day surround you
you don't need a reason
let the rain go on and on

What a day
what a day to take to
what a way
what a way
to make it through
what a day
what a day to take to
a wild child

Only take the time
from the helter skelter
every day you find
everything's in kilter
you don't need a reason
let the day go on and on

Every summer sun
every winter evening
every spring to come
every autumn leaving
you don't need a reason
let it all go on and on

What a day
what a day to take to
what a way
what a way
to make it through
what a day
what a day to take to
a wild child
What a day
what a day to take to
What a way
what a way
to make it through
What a day
what a day to take to
a wild child
What a day
what a day to take to
what a way
what a way
to make it through
what a day
what a day to take to
Da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da
what a way
what a way
to make it through
Da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da
What a way
what a way
to make it through
what a day
what a day to take to
a wild child
what a day
what a day to take to

Parents Vs Children

Things that i don't understand in this world is that why do some people
get into relationship, getting married, enjoying life and making love.
But when it comes to children or when they already have kids, they
could not accept their responsibilities as parents. They do have
regrets of having kids especially if the kids are naughty, giving problem
or giving them headaches. They always beating, shouting, saying bad words to the kids saying wish you never exist, wish you never been born.
Instead of being calm, giving advice, doing good things which would make their children happy and be proud to have good parents.
Instead of thinking good ideas which would make them close to each other
.
Child is a child, they need more time with their parents. They need
attention, care, and love. Children are curious to everything, they need
to know antyhing as part of growing up. They need the guidance of
parents, but what I see nowadays is different. Parents just give material things to show their love for their kids.

Some parents just go out to parties, shopping, prefer to hang out with their friends rather than their kids. Then they just leave the children
to the nannies/babysitter.
Parents make their children be far from them instead children to get
close to the nannies who always there for them and give the love to the children. Parents must be a role model for the children, but what i see
now is that children do as what their parents do, they become more liberated.

There are also some parents who give up for their children. Some choose their own happiness, they don't like to stay at home with their kids. especially if thier husband dont have time for them too. the tendency, both couple would have a problem that result to divorce.
Where is the love that they shared? where is the promises and vows they had?

They Are Our Future!

when a child is born
in a slum area, whether
it be assisted apartments,
trailer parks, low income
housing, or homelessness...
and he grows up amid hunger,
poverty, need, gunfire, drugs,
and street crime...
and the world he becomes an
adult in offers him little
chance for employment, or
education...
what do we expect?
what we often get is an angry
young man just looking for a way
to survive!

our young people most often become
the opportunity we leave for them.
we are responsible for their future.
for they are our future!

there are those who make their way
out of these abject conditions, and
go on to make the world a better place.
these should be our heroes!

but every child should have food,
shelter, a loving environment, an
equal opportunity for education, and
hope for employment! every child
should have an equal opportunity
to live his/or her, dream!

again, these children, are our future!
we are responsible!

A Child Is Angel Ever!

Any child is a sweet little angel anywhere!
Idea of angel would have evolved by child!
Child nature and Universal Spirit are God.

Born of love child is the sense of joy ever
That gives hope to family to pull on well
And the cheerful mood gives confidence!

Smiling as freshly bloomed flower child is
Cynosure of all everywhere moving all
To do great things at least to keep her joy!

We have to make the world better at least
For the child to live better in joy than us..
We have to do best things to make it better!

Child is God in the human form ever to lead
All in cheerful mood to cherish love and hope!

Nativity Song

At the coming of the little Child
Let bitter foes be reconciled,
Don't let violence run wild
At the coming of the little Child.

At the coming of the little Child
Don't let innocence be defiled,
The world was changed when His Mother smiled
At the coming of the little Child.

Never again let blood be shed,
But listen to the words of the dead:
'Let all religions live in peace
And all extremes of hatred cease,
Let gentleness conquer strife and war
And pride and arrogance be no more! '

Todays Child

A child grows with time, and time changes,
But does the child change?
Yes, he changes
But how does he change?
A child’s future depends on his people, his elders, his friends
The world today decides the future of the child
Look upon the child, see him, hear him, and understand him
Do not ignore the child and destroy him.

South Grade Elementary

Tons of children sitting in rows,
all listening intently to my birthday show.
One child holding Eeka, one child holding a bat,
they took turns, they where good at that.
Now one girl never celebrated her birthday,
I never knew till the teacher did say.
A very special moment for her to be sung to,
she was happy through and through.
Now months later I was in Metro PC,
I was in line, little girl recognizes me.
Not the same girl, but what do I care?
I was happy that I could share,
A happy moment in a couple of child lives,
they might remember that day when they were five.

A Mother Child

A mother is a child
She is younger than her children
That is why she learns from them

She learns the value
Of overcoming sin
Temptation passes her by

Her Children are her mentors
She teaches them while
They teach her…… Perfect

A Mother loves her child
With her life ……. Nothing more
She is burdened by love

She cares, She loves
She’s our mother
We love her

A team of the greatest
A mother and her child
One can’t live without the other

They run a race
A relay
Her love powers her

She can over come
All things
Just dig a little deeper

They are the strongest
A mother and her child
Nothing can separate their bond

Emotions pay a truce
A battle can be mended
Strongly from their hearts

She follows a God
A being not be seen
And so does her child

Her child follows her
They make her feel the love
What more could we want

A Mother's Child

A mother's children are her
pride and joy, and she'll do
anything to keep them safe.
But if a mother really loves her child
She will teach them not to hate.

Our children are the future,
And hold this country in their hands.
So instead of teaching them violence
We need to teach them to be all they can.

But if this war between the races continues,
Our children and thier country won't stand a chance.

To the infant who was found dead covered in plastic

You had no business to enter
This unloving world too soon
And uninvited dear child
You unloved and unplanned and
Unfortunate and unappreciated
Burden of our uncaring society
Too soon like the free looting
Pirate you of all people went
And blindly smuggled yourself into
Our great over burdened lives
Your mother was too busy
Enjoying herself in the bright lights
And you sneaked yourself in
To temporarily bring to the halt
Her merriment in the lime light
And that was unfair of you to spring
The surprise of your shocking
Arrival while she was so busy and
In retaliation she responded to teach
You manners and feed you to the dogs
Where she threw you away covered in
Plastic oozing blood in the veld
Now you weep in heaven where you're
Safe to weep and observe the doings
Of the young mothers whose primary
Motivation in life is to make babies
As if baby making is the latest craze
Now you sit by the right hand of God
And you have time to spare and regret
That it is wrong to mess up with people
Who do not take kindly to have their
Petite bodies interfered by innocent
Guests who come when they're not invited
Oh child
Your who was never allowed
To know who was your wayward father
You whose birth was going to be
The subject of endless law suits of
The disputes of your paternity
Rest in peace
Embrace the events leading
To your horrible demise
You're safe in the hands
Of the Heavenly Father
Here on earth the pogrom
And the holocaust again new born
Babies is well organized and given
The respectable law like term of
The Termination Of Pregnancy Bill
And the pro abortion mob is in ecstasy
But no one wants to take the matter
To the voters
In secrecy the law is pushed
Through parliament
One is left to wonder why the jurists
Are shy to bring the whole shyster
Piece of legislation
To be debated by the responsible
Citizens in the open
Truly the law works in mysterious ways

What others do to me.

This is not in a poem form, but an important message.

When someone hurts me, I gave the reason,
When someone loves me, this is the answer for my behavior.
When someone corrects me, I showed ignorance,
Whatever others do to me, I gave the reason for all.

Can I blame anyone?

No! I can bless and love them with the love of God,
Because everything was necessary to bring out what I am today.

When someone gives me happiness, I can rejoice.
I made him/her happy first.

All happens, because what I see in others, it is in me.
They are mirroring back my hidden ways. If I like it,
good, I can be happy, if not, I have to look into myself
and stop doing those things and the people who
played out those ways will disappear from my life.
There was one time an artifact, a big stone statue,
which had many little statue inside, or the Russian
wooden doll, which has a smaller look alike inside,
that one has a smaller and so on are the good examples.
The meaning is that there are many voices within the one.
We are each of us a separate world. Each individual
is a center with all those people who are in our surroundings.

This is why there are famous sayings, such as, birds of
a feather and people of their friends show who they are.
Who is the nearest plays out for us what we have
inside the most. Sometimes it looks bad, how can us
have that trade in us? However once we know this truth,
it is easier to decide if we want to be like them or not.

Sometimes, someone comes along and show my
'good' side, sometimes the 'bad'. It is my free will to
choose which side I keep in my personality. Once I
choose the trade I disapproved, those people who played
it out will disappear, and the one who have similar
habits, stays.

When parents cannot teach the child anymore and the
child cannot teach the parents that is the time they
go out of each others life. This is the reason for
divorce or one dies. Long time ago couples stayed
together because of the society rules, but neither
of them was happy, they just suffered in all their
life or one of them, the weaker died.

This is how the world goes around, however we have
to know, that everybody is on the way of salvation
toward real peace and real happiness, only we cannot
see it in this moment.

This is the law of life.
