A Board Game
Opportunity- a problem in disguise...
Every choice comes at a price,
Demands of you to make a sacrifice.
Weighing the pros and cons, you roll the dice.
Dreams beckon and steer,
Eyes brimming with tears
You have to go through conflict
To move forward in life and uplift.
We really have no one to blame
Life is simply like a board game
Helplessly I watched him agonise,
The decision had not been easy I realised.

When making a decision of minor importance, I have always found it advantageous to consider all the pros and cons. In vital matters, however, such as the choice of a mate or a profession, the decision should come from the unconscious, from somewhere within ourselves. In the important decisions of personal life, we should be governed, I think, by the deep inner needs of our nature.

No Ambition
If you don’t seem to have much worldly ambition
and yet your life to date has been one of transition
as you move along without any clear steadfast decision
it’s like drifting about with no interest in any position.
There are many people who’re in the same boat
it’s a wonder how on earth they’re able to float
as the currents of life steer them here and there
making them go through things difficult to bear.
To live each day as it comes along without any plans for the future
isn’t so bad if you can get by and not be caught being a moocher.
Life doesn’t have any favourites and can be one compromise after another
as it really depends so much on what we think and do towards each other.
It’s very hard to always keep on the right track and so easy to go astray
as we’re lured in many different directions during the course of the day.
Though the tendency of all life is to go forward and make some progression
we should maintain a balance with nature being mindful of any regression.
Without a healthy desire to occupy our time here life can be a real drag
and any effort put forward in that direction we turn into habit and brag.
If we’ve built relationships with certain people they often do turn sour
in this age the emphasis is on enjoyment experienced within the hour.
As we look back then over our life all those years
and there doesn’t appear to be very many cheers
that we can associate with any good worldly success
it’s because without any ambition there’s no progress.

Weighing Heavily On Your Mind
You know the days when you feel that your life is slipping through your fingers, and there is nothing you can do. It is one of those days today. It is weighing on my mind whether to stay or go. You feel like giving up the job, your hobbies, the lot, just turn your back and start a new somewhere else.
The problem is, what about your friends, what will they think? They’d probably want the best for you, but they would not want you to go. However sometimes its for the best, to go away and start a new life somewhere. Just say goodbyes and then just go. Disappear to who knows where, try not to shed a tear too much, nor regret what you are about to do. Just put the old life away on a shelf, try and tell yourself it didn’t exist at all.
Oh, I wish it was that easy. Memories of places and faces of friends would still be there at the back of my mind. They don’t disappear that easily I have found. I think to myself, I’ve done this before, it will only be the closing of just another door, another chapter on my life. Maybe sometime in the future another door will open, and behind it I will find some old friends. Who knows what the score will be. As for right now a decision has to be made. Still I am pondering what I am going to do. I might just leave that decision for a day or two.
Who knows someone of something might make me change my mind. But whatever I decide there is one thing I know. I think whatever I decide it will be a bit of a struggle inside.

Easy Money
Lets go -- while were young!
Moving easy money, how far to the street
Close-in complications better keep your nose clean, better move my feet
Moves me like a winner Im turning up the heat
Ive gotta get me something I want to feel some friction, want to feel some heat
Keep your pretentions feel this beat
Easy money Im a rolling dice now
Give me something but your good advice
Easy money Im a rolling dice now, easy money
Sticky situations and a womans revelations
Ive gotta feel something, wanna feel some friction, wanna feel this heat
Keep your pretentions feel this beat
Easy money Im a rolling dice now
I dont need nothing, your good advice
Easy money Im a rolling dice now easy money
Look into my soul, and the night life of amsterdam
Laid down in stockholm, Ill always be your fan
Wind blows off the twilight, sunset in l.a.
The powers of the world, easy moneys ok
Instrumental
Easy money Im a rolling dice now
Give me something but your advice
Easy money Im a rolling dice now
Give me something but your good advice
Easy money and a rolling dice now
Give ms something I wont think twice
Easy money Im a rolling dice now,
Easy money easy money, hold on tight now
Easy money Im a rolling dice
Give me money, easy money....

Point Of Disgust
How many times have we gotten to a point of disgust
Where your mind is about to explode
And your heart about to bust.
Every one at one point or another gets to that stage
And we know in our hearts -it's just a phase.
How do we get rid of that pain and emptiness
So deep in your chest
When your mind is blank and needs the rest.
When your chest is like a dam holding
back a river of tears
And your mind is sensing all your fears.
When everything seems to be going wrong
No matter what you do
And you get to this point of disgust
And starting to feel blue.
Where does one end and the other begin?
You have to go through total disgust
Then the depression begins.
(is depression just a point of total disgust?) hmmmm
When I get to that point in life
I pray to GOD to take away this strife
I walk to him with my problems in my hand
Cause I know he understands.
He says 'help yourself and I will help you'
So this is what I do.
I put all my pros and cons in a basket
And bury it in the ground like a casket.
I follow what I have in my heart
Because 'HE ' had put it there from the start.
This point of disgust can play a role in our life
We just have to stop and think twice.
This not only affects you, but all who are around
Creeps up on you without making a sound.
So I'll add that to the basket
With all my pros and cons
And the 'point of disgust' will also be gone.

To Move And Choose This Choice
The decision to leave,
That which has entrapped...
Is heartfelt.
A wounding is done because of that.
A painful admission,
To escape from a comfortable position...
That remains the same unchanged,
And does not feed a mind seeking to expand.
Desiring to breathe fresh air not there...
Begins a choking on a hold enforced.
With a command the mind demands,
To move and choose this choice.
One has to abruptly exit.
Without a necessity one believes,
To address with messages.
Or...
Betray the 'self' to suffocate from inactive wishes.
No matter how severe the price to be paid.
And choosing this price to pay...
Is not inducive to a life one wants to live effectively.
Regardless how barren the path one begins to walk,
Alone.

No Dice
God in Heaven does not roll dice, or has no need to ever think twice,
But controls everything that is to be, in what we on earth call destiny;
Through all the plans we do make, God predetermines steps we take,
As all our steps are ordered by, The Lord above, Who reigns on high.
Predetermined is The Lord’s Plan, through the very life, of every man,
From that very moment of our birth, until that time we leave this earth;
God’s involved as we’re in the womb, even before life begins to loom,
Then ever after, directing every soul, to save all men from Adam’s fall.
The very Creator, of each one of us, mortal men, who’re made of dust,
Predestinated a visit by His Eternal Son, to be the Savior of everyone,
As a body was prepared for Christ, so that He could enter into our life,
Coming from Heaven to this earth, to convey from God our true worth.
The Eternal God of our salvation, coming to save men of every nation,
And in God’s Plan, He’d pay a price, to become for God, His Sacrifice,
A price in which Christ had bought, the souls of which God had sought;
And this is why we truly love Jesus, for God Himself, had first loved us.
Friend, dice you’ll never see God roll, as our Savior moves upon a soul,
As His plans and ways are purposeful, as the Savior works out His Will,
So chance has not a part my friend, as Christ works out His perfect end,
As God guides many souls in this life, to enter Eternity with Jesus Christ.

Price To Play
Fail to see
how destructive we can be
taking without giving back
'til the damage can be seen
can you see?
can you see?
The more you take
The more you blame
But everything still feels the same
The more you hurt
The more you strain
The price you pay to play to game
Then all you see
And all you gain
And all you step on without shame
There are no rules
No one to blame
The price to play the game
Apathy
the chosen way to be
blindly look the other way
while you waste away with me
can you see?
can you see?
The more you take
The more you blame
But everything still feels the same
The more you hurt
The more you strain
The price you pay to play to game
Then all you see
And all you gain
And all you step on without shame
There are no rules
No one to blame
The price to play the game
What you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game
The more you take
The more you blame
But everything still feels the same
The more you hurt
The more you strain
The price you pay to play to game
Then all you see
And all you gain
And all you step on without shame
There are no rules
No one to blame
The price to play the game
What you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game
what you pay to play the game

I would never discourage anyone from doing what it is in life that they want to do. But I would encourage them to find out the pros and cons of anything they become involved in.
Here I Go Again
Here I go again
Its time for me to fade away
Here I go
Its time again to let the storm rise and Im waiting
Here with great expectations and I know
You call it what you want
But for now Im standing tall
And Im here to get it all
Give me your best shot or go
You gotta move on
You better believe it
And youll find out this is the time of your life
You gotta move on
You better believe it
You can be sure this is the ride of your life
Here I go again, its time for me to fade away
Im out of here I go again, Ive lost the game
And no one is to blame
So time waits for no one and I only get a chance
To be on top of the world and you know
If you want to move on
You will have to be strong
Cause it wont last long
You will reap what you sow
You gotta move on
You better believe it
And youll find out this is the time of your life
You gotta move on
You better believe it
You can be sure this is the ride of your life
Here I go again, its time for me to fade away
Im out of here I go again, Ive lost the game
And no one is to blame
So time is running out I feel I have to let you go
And I know, no one is to blame

Heading For The City
All my friends packing up,
Loading up their Volvo's
And their pick up trucks
Going down the road,
To try their luck
So spin that dream,
Go heading for the city
Roll that dice,
Say a prayer,
Light a candle for me
When you get there,
Win or lose,
We're heading for the city
Well I got a problem hear what I say
They're telling me I got to move away
I was happy here,
They tell me I can't stay
Now whats screaming rain is heading this way
For those who sleep and choose to stay
The game they didn't know
They had to play
So win or lose
We're heading for the city
So roll that dice
Say a prayer
Light a candle for me
When you get there,
Win or lose,
We're heading for the city

Do Not Interrupt My Choice
I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You're in a position to listen.
And...
If employed,
In a customer service position...
As a 'sales technician',
Like it or not...
Respect my choice.
Do not debate with me,
To stir up conflict...
With my decision.
When I'm given 'voice'...
And I know that voice to be,
Coming from one to indicate superior authority...
Over me!
As if what I decide for my life is not best.
Because I reveal I live on a budget...
And that is confessed how fixed it is.
Do NOT act as if,
I am not aware of it!
By treating me on the telephone,
Where I live is inferior.
And my mind is in a non-thinking zone!
I do have a choice,
And I make my own decisions.
Do NOT give me 'voice'.
When, in fact...
You are in a position to listen.
And...
Do not give me dial tone either.
Because my decision affects your commission.
I am not responsible for your economic condition.
Especially if I can barely satisfy my own!
Do not interrupt my choice,
By disconnecting your voice.

The Game of Death
I lift you up, just to dropp you
Condemnation is my praise
I lower your spirit down to the ground
So my spirit I can raise
It’s not the choices that I have made
For they are justified
My actions make you guilty
Before you have been tried
I think of you like a mirror
My reflection is what I see
You are not to be just who you are
But just an extension of me
My way of life is selfish
Expectations fill my soul
For you are a puppet tied on my string
And I must have full control
The things that truly matter
Are the things that I desire
And when my world starts burning up
I throw you in the fire
I spend my time all for myself
This is the gift I give
I sacrifice all other souls
It is my life to live
Another’s wants, another’s needs
Must follow after mine
Just worship me just as I am
You walked into my shrine
My time is spent, I’ll just take yours
And there’s nothing I’ll give back
I wonder why you hurt so much
I wonder what you lack
It’s never me, it’s always you
Do just as I say
I’ll sacrifice your tomorrow
For the things I want today
If this poem it sounds familiar
For 'your' actions, you always blame
The spirit of another
You’re wrapped in Satan’s game
In a game there is a winner
Which means someone has to lose
So live a life or play a game
That is your choice to choose

6 Chiffon
The star that hangs
Once meant so much
Time lessens everything but your memory
Gone
a blink, and gone
I wish
wish again
dilute the pain
with arrows aimed
Bullseyes, blind eyes
opaque, dull
mouth agape,
the taste of guilt,
bitter regret for yesterdays tomorrows
A sponge heavy with hope
squeezed tight,
empty
forever never comes
The blame game,
a board
two squares
.........no three
You, me
history
A dice
three sides blank
Two tokens
Yours a smile
mine a broken heart,
static
You roll a different dice
three sides blank
A memory
a night sky
the moon elusive
glimpse’s of pale yellow through chiffon clouds
me,
quiet,
listening to your voice,
in profile your smile
beautiful

Roll Of The Dice
Well Ive been a losin gambler
Just throwin snake eyes
Love aint got me downhearted
I know up around the corner lies
My fools paradise
In just another roll of the dice
All my elevens and sevens been comin up
Sixes and nines
But since I fell for you baby
Been comin on changin times
Theyre just waitin over the rise
Just another roll of the dice
Ive stumbled and I know I made my mistakes
But tonight Im gonna be playin for all of the stakes
Well its never too late so come on girl
The tables are waiting
You and me and lady luck well tonight
Well be celebrating
Drinkin champagne on ice
In just another roll of the dice
High-rollers lay down your bets and Ill raise em
Well I know the odds aint in my favor
Maybe Im just a clown throwin down
Looking to come up busted
Im a thief in the house of love
And I cant be trusted
Well Ill be making my heist
In just another roll of the dice
Move on up
Come on seven
Roll me baby
In this fools heaven

One Card Short
(first verse)
Life's just a game
We all wanna win
Keep your hand a secrets
Unleash the monsters within
Sometimes it's over
Before it's even begun
If someone else get hurt
Then what have you really won
(chorus)
I'm always one card short
Always one day late
For once I'd like an ending
I can celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
I need just one more move
One final chance to prove...
I can win this game
(second verse)
Life's just a duel
That's how the world is made
But are we all players
Or are we being played
(chorus)
I'm always one card short
Always one day late
For once I'd like an ending
I can celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
I need one more move
One final chance to prove...
I can win this game
(third verse)
Is what happens next in your control
Are you doing what you want, or what you've been told
Do you choose the cards from your own hands
Or are we all just puppets in a master plan
One more move
(chorus)
One card short
One day late
Give me something
Something to celebrate
Stacked the deck myself, so there's no one else to blame
One more move, I'm gonna win this game
I'm gonna win this game
I'm gonna win this game
One more move, I'll win this game
Everybody celebratesecond verse

Split Decision
(words and music by burt bacharach & carole bayer sager)
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Oh, yeah
Doo, doo, doo, doo
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Mm, hmm
Whos gonna take the blame tomorrow
If we break up tonight
If we break up
Whos gonna stop this stupid war
That nobodys gonna win
The jurys still out on us
Split decision, split in two
By the things that came between us
So unimportant now
All of those fights
Why do we always hurt the ones
We care the most about
The jurys still out on us
Split decision, split in two
By the things that happened
And the dreams that came apart
Do you still want me in your life
I need to know so tell me
Can we still make it in this life
Or is it too late for us
How long is time about to wait
Oh, oh, oh, oh
-musical interlude-
Hoo--
Whos gonna say theyre sorry first
And put this hurt away
The jurys still out on us
Split decision
Split in
Its not so easy putting back the pieces
Of a broken heart
Getting back where we started
Oh, no, oh, no
Its not so easy picking up the pieces
Of a broken heart
And get it back (get it back)
Get it back (where we started) where we started
Oh, oh, oh, no but if we hold on
(but if we hold on) we (we can try to make it)
Can try to make it
(maybe mend this heart) and get it back
(get it back where we started) where we started
Oh, oh, oh (its not so easy) its not so easy
Picking up (picking up the pieces) the iddy bitty pieces
(of a broken heart)
Get it back (get it back where we started)
Get it back where we started
But if we hold on (if we hold on)
Were (we can try to make it) gonna make it
(maybe mend this heart)
Get it back where we started...

You Only Live Twice
[ Live ]
You only live twice or so it seems,
One life for yourself and one for your dreams.
You drift through the years and life seems tame,
Till one dream appears and love is its name.
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on,
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone.
This dream is for you, so pay the price.
Make one dream come true, you only live twice.
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on,
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone.
This dream is for you, so pay the price.
Make one dream come true, you only live twice.

Simply Complicated
When you find out things about yourself
that you hadn't thought to know.
When your grandma calls
and books you on the Jerry Springer show.
And you find out you and your wife for ten years,
just might be related
Brother, life's not over,
it's just simply complicated.
There's other situations
that might challenge you, I guess
When your daughter tries out for the footbal team
and your son tries on her dress
And you start to think that the devil's in charge
of how you're situated.
Life is still worth livin
It's just simply complicated.
Life is complicated with its
ifs and ands and buts.
It's alright to be crazy,
just don't let it drive you nuts!
My daughter wants to go on dates,
I think I'll let her go.
But she better not be movin'
at the movin' picture show.
Her stops by all those honky tonks
and getin' aviated
aint it all a caution?
Its just simply complicated.
Now I'm havin a big problem
with my present-day career
My ship, she has a rudder
but I don't know where to steer.
Am I country, pop or rock-and-roll?
I know they are related.
I'll just let you be the judge.
It's simply complicated.
Life is complicated with its
ifs and ands and buts.
It's alright to be crazy,
just don't let it drive you nuts!

Blessing In Disguise
Are you lonely?
Are you Crying?
Are those teardrops in your eyes
is it more blues, is is bad news,
is it a curse?, or a blessing in disguise.
Did you leave him?, do you love him?
Have you said your, said your last goodbyes
Is it over, hey
are you sorry?
Could it be a blessing in disguise
It's the scars that make you stronger
It's the hard times that make you rise,
It's the sweet things that only time bring, yeah
Gonna ride back a blessing in disguise
Ooooooooohhhhh!
Clouds roll by, and bring the rain
tears wiped dry to ease the pain
oh!
Are you lonely?
Are you Crying?
Are those teardrops in your eyes
is it more blues, is is bad news,
is it a curse?, or a blessing in disguise.
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise
