petite, yet presence
with charm and disarming smile-
Solemn as Vidi writes...

Zip of Zilch
He has great appraisal for poets
Neruda, Pushkin, Eliots’
Kalidasa, Tagore, Keki…
List is on and on
Reads on and on
Keeps a heap at store
Displays and describes with silky talk
I wrote a few small poems
Gave him for a read
Reader read and silently left
I waited for days together
Then someone said –
‘Silence speaks louder than words, sometimes
But not everybody listens’
Lightning struck
I gave ear to that silence
Tagore has written –
‘Man has in him the silence of the sea’
Learnt to respect the silence
Today I am happy
Writing and reading my work.

Fairytales
We all know fairytales are not real,
But can be very sweet.
The princesses always are the way we wish to feel,
Pretty, nice and petite.
Belle eventually got her beast,
Cinderella got her Prince Charming.
Who was left with the least,
Me who was left last and disarming.
It only lasted for a little while,
The heart ache and hurt,
But soon I bagan to smile,
Becoming more alert.
Fairytales keep hopes in tact,
And keep you thinking.
They keep distnace between fiction and fact,
Keep our world and theirs....linking!
Wishing to be in their stories,
Having fun as well as dreams.
Sharing their glories,
Always winning them, it seems.
But we all know there is never a happy ending,
Just death and sadness.
Let's enter their world..... Bending,
Ours into gladness.

Must
She writes as if there’s not much time.
She writes to pain, to happiness,
She writes to every remote detailed thought.
She writes to the departed,
to the extant,
to poverty,
to wealth.
She writes to mourn, and grief.
She writes to the wind, the rain,
forest, the desert, and mountains.
She writes to her pouring tears,
to her grateful moments,
She writes because really what she has is time.
She has no little ones to feed, or bathe,
nor a husband to make happy. To write is
to escape- to her. Time is not a problem, time
is just a killing system, she needs to kill in many words.
She writes as if there’s not much time.

Early Works - Good Luck?
Here I sit in solemn repose
while some old bag looks down her nose
words echo around me
and I begin to snort and wheeze
like a bull ready to charge,
but I must be calm.
They talk in riddles
to confuse and fiddle
then I feel my good luck charm in my hand.
My aim is steady,
my shot is sure
and I return to my solemn repose, a
s the old bag looks cross-eyed
at my lucky charm stuck up her nose.
There is chaos everywhere
no one knows what to do,
I still sit in solemn repose
and the old bag is still cross-eyed
looking down her nose.
There is nothing they can do
and the case is dropped, wow, wow.
The old bag goes to hospital ho, ho
my lucky charm still up her nose.
The sun comes up in the morning
and I am still free as a bird.
Free as a bird, the word.
The air smells like dog muck
something you trod in to bring you luck!

Cognizance
Since I was cognizant about Life and Living
My contemplations took all spins and leap
Deeds took a long haul of transformations
Introspection took me to great serenity
And I reached the level of equanimity in Life.
My experience of discontent and distress
Which I presumed with ‘self-sympathy’
That’s where I went wrong in my judgment
It’s ‘self-respect’ that showed my ‘self esteem’
Turned those sympathy to empathy in Life
I am not what the world construes me to be
My ecstasy and grief are not exterior made
I perceived my inner voice and its power
I have someone inside to guide me
I am the blessed one who hears voice within.
Living beings eat, move, sleep and die
We, human beings who can think in addition
But do we think as much as we eat, move and sleep?
If we are pensive, we know how exceptional we are!
Employ this virtue, contribute to mankind and be a Man.

You penned few lines on my our book
The harvest of god and prayer words on dreams
Somewhere, you keep my heart and its burns
a kiss of your words....
To see no further than ……
And now our psalm
And a smell of fiery word in this poem
your writes little is the best....
I love our greatness in its charm..

La petite môme
La petite môme
La pauvre petite môme
Elle est degoutant
Elle est effrayant
Mais essayez vous
Attendez, attendez
Elle va commmencer
de chanter, oui, chanter
Ecoutes sa voie
Et, ben, voila
Tu dis 'ohlala'
'C'est incroyable ça'
Puis maintenant
Elle n'est pas effrayant
Elle n'est pas degoutant

Even When I'm Sad
Even when I'm sad,
I smile.
My two front teeth are more
shall we say developed
than my others,
but i don't mind too much.
My smile is unique, and defined,
I shouldn't mind.
Right now I do,
because even when I'm sad,
I smile.
When I'm mad,
I smile.
My personality is so flawed
I can only be enraged until
sarcasm comes in spite of
how bad the situation may be.
It's not the worst thing about me.
But right now it is,
it's too deceiving to smile
when I'm mad.
When I'm bored,
I smile.
Maybe it's because
I like to be alone sometimes,
to enjoy the presence of oneself,
I like to think alone,
and my own thoughts make me laugh,
But isn't it silly to smile
when I'm doing nothing?
When I'm on the stupid pot,
I smile.
Why, why, why?
If someone slapped me,
would I smile?
If someone left me to the vulchures,
would I smile?
If my best friend died,
would I smile?
If I ran over a dog,
would I smile?
I wish I had control over my own face's muscles.
Because even when I smile, I'm still sad.

Innocence-Lost
It’s my all time favorite repose-compartment
Open the pages to see my ingenuous chapters
Wonder why I have lost my innocence supplement
Once, that stance was part and parcel of all my matters!
Excavation can help me, I take this dig.
Cradle to grade one, infancy free verse at recite
From there a saga of tutoring, a phase of delight
Forever forgiven, naive menaces, a period of elite
It’s time then society norms dictate man’s plight.
Exclusive shots of this dig.
Its now, the virtue lost from face and it’s struck at throat
Costless thrillers, pastime, under the vigilant scanners
Salt water couldn’t heal the pain, but it did pivot
As a proof of living, had to hold pre-printed banners.
Extensive damage, reports my dig.
Discolored utterances played havoc, gullet to blame
Etiquette pushed into belly to help in digestion claim
Fed with indigestible cereals, system hanged in shame
The so called Innocence departed under the foot into the drain.
Exhibit of my dig –‘Innocence Lost’.

She Stays Lingering With Me (Cavatina)
The eyes of my love shines like the sun,
summer fades,
in the presence of her most lovely smile,
autumn shades
against the colour of her vibrant hair,
spring degrades
against her charm and personality
and vivid she stays lingering with me.

How much we inflate?
A child is born, carrying over gene
Love surrounds him with its arms
Child wants to reach every corner
Up in the air, flies a Balloon
Child cries to get one for its own
Carries it with delight, runs around.
Grows to be a mesmerized Teen
Love grips him at his belly
Lover just wants to meet a partner
Spends money, buys a Balloon
Puffs a lot, Fills it, just to be blown
Balloon has to fly; lover has to be on the ground.
Another gap of years passes on
Love becomes a quest in mind
Restless Lover looks for a mentor
Collects the pieces of burst Balloon
Sarcastic laugh emerges from frown
Mockery, Mystery and History surround
Middle age, inner vibration cools down
Bow set Love penetrates the heart
Pain, when balanced, kills the predator
Emancipated soul looks at the Balloon
Smirk with acumen, not to mourn
To love from within becomes the bond
Silver lines twinkle thereafter
Love heals the whole self
Insight resonates unto the creator
Tied at one end, flies the Balloon
Hilarity reaches the top to crown
Learn to Inflate, in its scope, not beyond.

Reflections 101
he writes not because
he wants to be read and
be understood
got him wrong really
he writes because he likes
to live
life writes upon himself
and so he writes upon life too.

Don’t be an uprooted Tree
Seed is sown and the embryo is formed
Legitimate or not, radicle develops into root
Root penetrates into the surface of the soil
Absorbs water and food, turns seed into plant
Inherits the culture of the earth beneath.
It’s in root science that, it moves in
Right direction to fetch the exact need.
Stem gives the support and balance to stand
Branches form the vitality of the plant
Leaves prepare the food to survive
Bearing even odds the plant grows into tree.
As long as deep roots embraces mother earth
The tree shows confidence and attracts.
Location and depth are the might of the tree
Flower, fruit, shade, firm soil, H2O and CO2
Vary from tree to tree, but all owe to root
Never there is an existence beyond this means.
Still human trees surrender under the pressures
Try to get uprooted from the surface and means
Hoping for better flower, fruit, soil and breeze
Truth is, an uprooted tree, a timber, put to ablaze.

New Breed
She is pretty and young as well
A disarming smile
Isn't that enough
Who would believe
She is intellectual too
How will she fit

Tell me
If I could twist your mind,
If I could change your thoughts
And if I could absorb all your sadness,
Tell me that you would give me a smile,
That smile so disarming,
Tell me that you would give me a first kiss.
Certainly, I would feel an overwhelmed desire,
As our encounter would begin.
Tell me that you would take me
To your heart,
When the gestures would become thrills
And some cries would become symbols of things....
Certainly, I would be yours
And you would be mine.
I would stay perfectly there for sure,
In a moment of self forgetfulness.
And if another one had been
With you
Instead of me,
Tell me that you would have felt so much sorrow that
You would have abandoned her
To be with me....
Tell me that you knew that I had known this.
Even so, I let you go,
Being unable to break that invisible wall
To be together.....
