Marvelous
So you've been well
I couldn't tell
I know you better
Remember when
Spoken back then
You'd come here again
I must admit I wasn't loving
And I was running from myself
Do seasons changing stir old feelings
And in conversation
Does my name still come up?
Was I marvelous?
You should have asked yourself before you turned me down
Your name still comes up
You are marvelous
I should have told myself before I let you down
You're marvelous
So I've been fine
Living my life
Though I've been better
So here's to you
Breathing a new
Neglecting a few
I must admit that you were loving
And I was searching for myself
Do seasons changing stir old feelings
And in conversations
Does my name still come up?
Was I marvelous?
You should have asked yourself before you turned me down
Your name still comes up
You are marvelous
I should have told myself before I let you down
You're marvelous
You're marvelous
So how are you going to feel when you know it's so true
You'll think of me when you say "I do"
Excuse my state of mind
Did I spoil your valentine?
For all the length we've walked in these shoes
Eternal faith you've lost in me through
When you're walking down the aisle
You won't stretch another mile
The memories you visualize
You were marvelous once
My name will come up
I am marvelous
You should have told yourself before you let me down
Your name still comes up
You are marvelous
I should have told myself before I let you down
The memories you visualize
You were marvelous one time

Too Marvelous For Words
Johnny mercer / richard whiting
Youre just to marvelous
Too marvelous for words
Like glorious, glamorous
And that old standby amorous
Its all too wonderful
Ill never find the phrase
That says enough, tells enough
I mean just arent swell enough
Youre much too much, and just too very very
To ever be, to ever be in the dictionary
And so Im borrowing a love song from the birds
To tell you that youre marvelous
Too marvelous for words

I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I cannot transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.

The life of our city is rich in poetic and marvelous subjects. We are enveloped and steeped as though in an atmosphere of the marvelous; but we do not notice it.

Universal was absolutely marvelous about sitting down with me and listening to my input. It wasn't something where they chose a bunch of songs that were best sellers. They did a marvelous job on the packaging. It's a beautiful tribute.

S'Wonderful
's wonderful, 's marvelous
You should care for me!
's awful nice, 's paradise,
's what I love to see.
You've made my life so glamorous,
You can't blame me for feeling amorous!
Oh 's wonderful, 's marvelous,
That you should care for me!
My dear, it's four leaved clover time,
From now on my heart's working overtime, ooh baby
's wonderful, 's marvelous
That you should care for
You've made my life so glamorous,
You can't blame me for feeling amorous!
And I guess so it's wonderful, and it's marvelous,
That you should care for, that you should care for
That you should care for me!

Flower In The Corner
walking in my simple garden
I saw a flower, shy in a corner
small, mild, inconspicuous;
and I knelt before it
and it blushed and whimpered
and it said: I am not worthy
and I said:
more marvelous, dearest flower,
you are more marvelous, darling flower,
than all the celebratory fireworks
the masses gawk and wow at…

Last Night As I Was Sleeping
Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that a spring was breaking
out in my heart.
I said: Along which secret aqueduct,
Oh water, are you coming to me,
water of a new life
that I have never drunk?
Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that I had a beehive
here inside my heart.
And the golden bees
were making white combs
and sweet honey
from my old failures.
Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that a fiery sun was giving
light inside my heart.
It was fiery because I felt
warmth as from a hearth,
and sun because it gave light
and brought tears to my eyes.
Last night as I slept,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that it was God I had
here inside my heart.

Whats She Really Like
(words & music by wayne - silver)
Whats she really like
The girl that you see me with
Whats she really like
The one Im so dreamy with
Well, let me tell you shes wonderful
Shes marvelous and shes mine
Told here that her lips, her lips are so thrillable
I cant describe her kiss in words of one syllable
Shes even more than desirable
And whats moreable shes mine
Whats she really like
The girl I go on about
Whats she really like
The one Im so mad about
All I can say, shes wonderful
Shes marvelous and shes mine
Youre asking if she loves me
Well, you dont know the half
Youre wondering if shell leave me
Ha, ha, ha, dont make me laugh
Whats she really like
The girl I go on about
Whats she really like
The one Im so gone about
All I can say, shes wonderful
Shes marvelous and shes mine

Cuz 2 night Im gonna be your fantasy
My dearest, my dearest

With my body (body) Ill scream a reply
Anythings acceptable
Just ask me and Ill try it
2 hell with hesitation
2 hell with the reasons why

Anything uve ever dreamed of

Baby, baby, baby
Oh girl, the things u make me do!
Genius is the only way 2 describe u
Anything uve ever dreamed of baby
Just ask me - Ill do, Ill do,

Marvelous - baby, baby, cant u see
Anything uve ever dreamed of

Never, Never Land
Peter Pan, that marvelous boy
always young, oh the joy!
Flying and escaping into the air
to a place that's never, never there.
A fantasy world that lives with us
but is far beyond our reach
has become a fairytale children love
but Peter what does it teach?
That forever young can only live
in a place called your heart.
Every palpable place we live
has torn our youth apart.
Peter Pan, you marvelous boy,
let the old and young beware
your escapades and wild dreams
are not found anywhere.

Marvelous Toy
When I was just a wee little boy.
Full of health and joy.
One Christmas morning I received
A marvelous little toy.
A wonder to be hold it was
Many colours bright.
And the moment I layed eyes on it
It became my heart's delight.
It went "zzzip" when it moved,
"Bopp" when it stopped,
"Brrr" when it stood still.
I never knew just what it was
And I guess I never will.
The first time that I picked it up.
I had a big surprise.
For right on it's bottom
Were two green buttons
That looked like big green eyes.
I first pushed one.
And then the other.
And then I pushed on its lid.
And when I set it down again
This is what it did.
It went "zzzip" when it moved,
"Bopp" when it stopped,
"Brrr" when it stood still.
I never knew just what it was
And I guess I never will.
It first marched left.
Then marched right
And then marched under a chair.
And when I looked where it had gone
It wasn't even there.
I started to cry.
My daddy laughed.
He knew that I would find.
When I turned around my marvelous toy
Chugging from behind.
It went "zzzip" when it moved,
"Bopp" when it stopped,
"Brrr" when it stood still.
I never knew just what it was
And I guess I never will.
Well, the years have passed
Too quickly it seems.
I have my own little boy.
And yesterday I gave to him
My marvelous little toy.
His eyes nearly popped
right out of his head.
He gave the squeal of glee
Neither one of us knows just what it is,
But he loves it just like me.
It still goes "zzzip" when it moves,
"Bopp" when it stoppes,
"Brrr" when it stands still.
I never knew just what it was
And I guess I neve

Every church sings its own soft part
Every church sings its own soft part
In the polyphony of a girl's choir,
And in the stone arches of the Assumption
I make out high, arched brows.
From the ramparts, fortified by archangels,
I surveyed the city from a marvelous height.
Within the walls of the Acropolis, I was consumed
With sorrow for the Russian name, for Russian beauty.
Isn't it just marvelous, we dream
Of an orchard, soaring pigeons in the hot blue sky,
A nun is singing the litany:
Tender Assumption: Florence in Moscow.
The five-domed cathedrals of Moscow,
With their Italian and Russian soul
Bring to mind the Aurora, but with a
Russian name, and in a fur coat.

Your Wonderful Parade
Your wonderful parade
Moving thru the towns that rise and then they fade
Over streets that pass the houses where you've stayed
Your wonderful parade
Your daily masquerade
Paper masks behind this face that you have made
Crumble down upon foundation that you've laid
Your daily masquerade
(*) stand in line try to climb
Meet your wife at cocktail time
Surely you should try and choose a better way to fall
Your marvelous charade
Never could be worth the prices that you've paid
Blindness is a part of every game you've played
Your marvelous charade
Repeat (*)
Your daily masquerade
Your wonderful parade

Arboriculture
You may say they won't grow, and say they'll decay-
Say it again till you're sick of the say,
Get up on your ear, blow your blaring bazoo
And hire a hall to proclaim it; and you
May stand on a stump with a lifted hand
As a pine may stand or a redwood stand,
And stick to your story and cheek it through.
But I point with pride to the far divide
Where the Snake from its groves is seen to glide
To Mariposa's arboreal suit,
And the shaggy shoulders of Shasta Butte,
And the feathered firs of Siskiyou;
And I swear as I sit on my marvelous hair
I roll my marvelous eyes and swear,
And sneer, and ask where would your forests be
To-day if it hadn't been for me!
Then I rise tip-toe, with a brow of brass,
Like a bully boy with an eye of glass;
I look at my gum sprouts, red and blue,
And I say it loud and I say it low:
'They know their man and you bet they'll grow!'
