I am the apple of my Father's eye
I hope that I will be until I die
I believe I am destined to be poor
‘Tis what I chose when he knocked on my door
After all he did give me my white rock
That's when he received me into his flock
The world will go on as its always done
I'll continue living knowing I've won
Someone holds my signet within their hands
Maybe they've marked many in many lands
Could this person be considered the beast
What will happen in this modern Zeitgeist
I'll no longer worry about my wife
After all she is living her own life
She is the master of her destiny
She'll continue to do what gives her glee
Maybe in her eyes I'm the evil one
And maybe she's with me just for our son

A Single Tail
Be strong with the overpowering Zeitgeist and its tail,
Be it and all of its glory, for it is written with the stale.
The arcanum is one that is bespoken by the timid ones,
It consisted of the rules we are secret with, a family runs.
Glory to the deceased for the lacunae they have made,
And we have entered a special trade, one that is craved.
Be strong, force us, and never lose, or be lost.

The View Of Life
The world is changing
The entire human race consist of education
We are in a modern world
The very first 21st century
Where scientists determine the course of the future
No knowledge is a waste
Learning starts from birth
And dose not end until death
It is said that
When the going is tough
Tough men will keep on moving
So we must be enthusiastic
Jumping the hurdles
And jumping it hunky dory
Essence of education
Is to resist from being the irresponsible zeitgeist of our time
Age is not a deprivation from leaning
For those of great wisdom, Education is more complex than pressure
Education is beautiful for those who desire to learn
Hence, be wise and nurture it to be successful in life
I pray the perhaps, our dreams shall come true.

Dear Reader
Baudelaire considers you his brother,
and Fielding calls out to you every few paragraphs
as if to make sure you have not closed the book,
and now I am summoning you up again,
attentive ghost, dark silent figure standing
in the doorway of these words.
Pope welcomes you into the glow of his study,
takes down a leather-bound Ovid to show you.
Tennyson lifts the latch to a moated garden,
and with Yeats you lean against a broken pear tree,
the day hooded by low clouds.
But now you are here with me,
composed in the open field of this page,
no room or manicured garden to enclose us,
no Zeitgeist marching in the background,
no heavy ethos thrown over us like a cloak.
Instead, our meeting is so brief and accidental,
unnoticed by the monocled eye of History,
you could be the man I held the door for
this morning at the bank or post office
or the one who wrapped my speckled fish.
You could be someone I passed on the street
or the face behind the wheel of an oncoming car.
The sunlight flashes off your windshield,
and when I look up into the small, posted mirror,
I watch you diminish—my echo, my twin—
and vanish around a curve in this whip
of a road we can't help traveling together.

Laf zijn is in!
Laf is in, Laf heeft zin.
Kijk naar rechts als
er links bedrogen wordt.
Neem steeds de grootste lap
biefstuk van het grote bord.
Als iemand wordt geslagen
kijk dan gerust omhoog.
Als iemand start met vragen
loop dan maar om hem met een boog.
Als iemand 'Help' roept bij 't verzuipen
loop dan nooit in zeven sloten.
Als iemand door velen belaagd
heeft hij er vast zelf om gevraagd.
Als de buren veel te luid
spreek het dan vooral niet uit
en zet de radio maar gauw op tien.
Als er gestolen wordt
doe je zelf dan niets te kort
maar doe gewoon alsof je niets hebt gezien.
Als de buurvrouw wordt verkracht
zal ze vast weer een Thriller zitten kijken
dat mens is te luidruchtig
ze moet gewoon niet zeiken.
Als er iemand Van de brug
springen wil
roep die dan niet terug
dat is zo kil.
Als er twintig mensen zien
hoe er iemand wordt neergestoken
tel dan eventjes tot tien.
Wees geduldig met jezelf
voel je niet schuldig.
Ben Laf, dat heeft echt zin
want Laf zijn dat is In.

Ontluisterend
Kom je in
een sfeer van licht
en versta je
het gedicht,
kunt de muziek al
horen spelen,
zit zelf in de band
die als geen ander kent
wat valt te delen.
Dan snaar de woorden maar,
bedaar de moordenaar,
verklaar de klank voor-waar.
Laat door de nauwe spleten
van de angst een spiegel klaar
voor hen die willen weten.
Deel het vibrato
langs kwatrijnen
of langs quadrofonen,
wees een falsetto of zo
die plots weer zal verdwijnen
in kwijnende tonen.
Spuug muren vol van oker
langs je handen,
en ben de joker
op te hete stranden,
de regenboog voor
tante Door
Ja grijp de luit,
gooi het eruit,
voordat het zal
verbranden.

Kippenjicht en Tegenlicht (voor R.Kopland)
Kippenjicht en Tegenlicht
Bloed laten prikken
moest zo hard schrikken
mijn hart stond even stil.
Kwam te liggen
langs donzig witte biggen
waar men niet liggen wil.
Ik was hiervan het Hoofd
maar kon toch niet bevroeden
dat ik liggend aan haar voeten
van mijn leiding werd beroofd,
waarom ik Zo moest boeten.
Je hebt de kans gekregen
jouw eigen krans geregen
het leven heb je verslonden
en...................
Nog ben je er mede verbonden.
