What Will I Do?
what will i do when you are gone?
and is 'my will' strong enough to hold on.
most of our lives we've been together
is life without you going to be better?
we all have our idiosyncrasies
but that's the way life was meant to be.
when you've reached your golden years
there is so much that you have shared.
memories will flow like wine in a glass
and you will reflect on your entire past.
what will i do? i have no idea.
the thoughts are no longer crystal clear.
how will i survive without you by my side?
i'll just have to struggle, and that's no lie.
it does not matter if you're young or old
this is part of life which will unfold.
so strengthen yourselves for this final blow
for you don't know which one of you will go.

Only The Strong Survive (Take 22)
I remember my first love affair
Somehow or another the whole darn thing went wrong
My mamma had some great advice
So I thought I'd put it into words of this song
I can still hear her sayin' it
Boy, Oh, I see you're sittin' out there all alone
Cryin' your eyes out 'cos the woman that you love has gone
Oh, there's gonna be, there's gonna be a whole lot of trouble in your life
Oh, so listen to me get up off your knees 'cos only the strong survive
That's what she said, only the strong survive
Only the strong survive,
Oh you've got to be strong, you'd better hold on
Don't go all around with your head hung down
Well I wouldn't let that little girl
No, I wouldn't let her know that she made me feel like a clown
There's a whole lot a girls lookin' for a good man like you
Oh but you'll never meet 'em if you give up now and say that your life is through
Yes she said: Only the strong survive, only the strong survive,
You've got to be a man, you've got to take a stand
Only the strong survive, only the strong survive,
Oh, you've got to be strong, you'd better hold on
'Cos only the strong survive

The Better Part Of Life
We're all together once again
For the first time in i don't know when
We were so close once upon a time
There were five of us kids at home
Two girls, three boys and dad and mom
But that was in the better part
Of life we left behind
Remember that old swimming hole
Where we would swim so long ago
And all them possum grapes and muskedines
And do you recall the time
We all got drunk on homemade wine
That was in the better part
Of life we left behind
Life was simple for us then
If only it could be again
How i wish we could go back in time
But time moves on and nothin' lasts
Except the memories from the past
Memories from the better part
Of life we left behind
Remember how we talked as kids
Of what we'd be when we got big
And all the dreams that we held in our minds
I wanted to be a singin' star
And you all said that i'd go far
But that was in the better part
Of life we left behind
Remember all the fun we had
Back when they say times were bad
And life was good to us and things were fine
We had fun and we had love
And a mom and dad to care for us
But that was is the better part
Of life we left behind
Life was simple for us then
If only it could be again

Final race
When you gain adulthood there comes real stage
You get to know many things coming of an age
You may love to make frequent contacts
Mingle with friends and try desperately to ignore facts
You come to know of grater responsibility
When hold a hand of female and demonstrate ability
That speaks of firm commitment and promises
Thousands of assurances with not single misses
At initial contacts you compromise some of the stands
That can be forgiven as happening between good friends
But when reassure of future tie up and whole of burden
You readily agree for everything and no idea strikes all of sudden
It is almost mirage and based on illusory things
It may turn soar, happy or any kind of things
You may argue in favor of going ahead
Provide clear way and distinct lead
Life is meant to struggle and endure
You may sometimes not find peace in entire tenure
Life may turn cruel and unending difficulties
But that does not relieve you from any of the responsibilities
You learn to live and stubbornly offer
You have all the preparation for final coffer
You are such an ideal for any eventuality
This fine blend quality makes you to prove ability
Only cowards may end the life in haste
The may not come at all or come very late
Yet it makes no difference for on going struggle
You may go on tackling and facing all troubles
Life may seem to be High Mountain
You may struggle hard to contain
Even though you may remain money less
You will definitely win the final race

Is What Makes Life So Sweet
Memories made over the years
Brings myself to shed some tears.
As future on the past will knock
We can't go turning back the clock.
Replaying the memories in my mind
Of the heartache that I left behind.
Clues to what the future will hold
As the passage of time does unfold.
My entire search is in vain
That it will never come again.
Is what makes life so sweet
A memory caught in a single heartbeat.

Getting Old
When you’re young you think you know it all
Then you get old and life begins to unfold.
In their youth they don’t think ahead
The future is something they do not dread.
They feel that everything in life they can control
They’re young and strong and very bold.
Aaaah! Those beautiful days bring back memories
Of how simple life used to be.
Youth had respect for the elderly
And their fellow man.
Now the elderly they try to scam.
When they are older they will see
They want respect and to live with dignity.
they are young and they don’t seem to understand
That with age you may need a helping hand.
Everything in life comes in stages
It’s like a book when you turn the pages
It gets deeper and keeps you enthralled
Until the time that you reach the end
And you’ve lost all your family and friends.
The First stage is when you are a child
And someone is taking care of you for that while.
The Second stage is when you become a teen
And you feel like a king or queen.
You feel that you can not get old
This is what you believe at this stage in your life
Because you’re not looking at the struggles and strife.
The Third stage is the adolescent years
And you feel you’re in control and lose your fears.
The final stage is when you become old and gray
And your youthful years have slipped away.
You look back and ask yourself!
where did All those years go?
Why did I waste so much time?
And the most important thing is
That I am so glad I made you mine
For with you by my side I had a life divine.
So to the youth who have not gotten to this stage
Don’t get angry, and get rid of your rage.
There is no way to turn back the time
For time just moves straight ahead
You’re getting to the point that you now dread.

Golden Years
he finally reached his golden years
wanted to leave his family,
thoughts and love to share.
so he sat with pen in hand
wrote about his lifes plan.
it started off with just his dream
never expecting the unforseen.
as his plans began to unwind
he found himself lost in time.
he joined the army at an early age
this was to become the setting stage
he survived the street gangs and a war
and never talking about what he saw.
he managed retail businesses all his life
met the woman who would become his wife.
he had always loved children
so he thought it was time
his wife agreed and it turned out fine.
a beautiful little girl came into their life
and everything seemed twice as nice.
now he had two women who captured his heart
and knew right then, that this was the start.
the start to his golden years
with his wife he could share.
all the dreams that were meant to be
was now becoming a reality.
but the years was going by fast
he knew his dreams would not last.
now with this thought in mind
he decided it was time
to put his life in perspective
for the golden years to become effective.
so he changed his train of thoughts
a late retirement he would abort.
he retired before his time
so he could enjoy life the way
that it was meant to be
living happy and carefree.
now that he finished writing
down his thoughts and plans
he let them know
'YOUR PERCEPTION BECOMES YOUR REALITY'
and this is what mine was to me.
the golden years are now mine
and i'm lost in its time.

The Question Remains Unanswered
Strange things happen in our lives
through each passing year.
As we get older, we reflect
on the reasons why they came.
She came into my life
first in my childhood,
but for some reason
no friendship flared.
The years then rolled on
to forty and more
and into my life,
she once again appeared.
It is hard to define
what we were both
looking for
on the second time around.
However, what we found
was a deep, caring friendship
that reached higher than
any parameters we could have set.
We knew one day further on
we would have to part again
when heaven called
for one of us to go.
I reflect now for a reason
why destiny brought us together
not once but twice.
However, the question remains unanswered.

A Baby Cry! ...16th Feb 1948
The Indian ocean, the untouched green, the blue sky.
Came a vibrating sound of a new born..a softness a dainty cry
Soon the clock, insensitive so.. ticked on, the days whizzed by
My hair, a silvery streak, fingers numbed and gracefully aged
I dwell into areas where thoughts lead me to freely uncage
I gently turned the delicate pages, back in time and with a sigh
B'days, moments, many captured, never struggled to survive
Living the days gone by with variable memories so alive...
Family, friends, near and far off in many a distant lands
Surely do make this earthly stay a four seasonal land
Laughter, tears, cheers, a beauty, the warmth that life can hold
As a new dawning day begins, another year about to unfold.
Six decades and years three, made those colourful days
We shared together a journey, life long... come what may!
Now a blessing for each candle, that you proudly blow,
Hopefully be sparkling today and many years forever more
Health peace and may you be filled with a wonderland
Children, grand children, together holding..hand in hand!

You'll Repeat Those Same Old Mistakes
Memories can be precious while others are rued,
Some can play games with your mind,
Many can even be misconstrued,
While others can and do make you blind.
Recollections are what teach us all we know,
They are part of our reason for living,
What we learn from them dictates how we grow,
Though some can be so unforgiving.
Bad ones we tend to want to forget,
Good ones we all want to last,
Whether it's with fondness or deep regret,
They're an integral part of our past.
The secret of memories is they come from within,
Why so when they're made from without,
Separating good from bad, where do you begin,
Though it's a must to get rid of self-doubt.
You can't discard memories by throwing them away,
Although for some it'd be great if we could,
Throughout our life reminiscences hold sway,
If only they could all be good.
They predetermine what our future will hold,
By separating right from wrong,
Our interpratation determines how our lives unfold,
By teaching us where we belong.
The very nature of memories can irk and annoy,
Dealing with them is what you must learn,
You must deal with what hurts and the good then enjoy,
Don't let the bad ones cause you concern.
If from hurtful memories you try to hide,
Then the devil inside you awakes,
By trying your damnedest to cast them aside,
'' You'll Repeat Those Same Old Mistakes ''
Life is a stuggle
Life is a struggle
But not a battle
Live for a reason
Not for the competition
Like a journey
To reach a destination
Life is a struggle
For both young and old
So be bold
Life is not
To be bought and sold
It is precious than gold
Better a good life
So we strive
To survive

Crystal Clear
How do you feel now? I want to know
Clear as crystal, I can see your face
In my glass of water, I can see your face
How do you feel know? I want to know
Does your love burn like a summer's day
Or is it still on hold in an ice cube tray?
Clear as crystal
How do you feel now? I want to know
Clear as crystal, I can see your face
In my glass of water? I can see your face
Winter has passed now, did you ever know?
Is your love forming like the springtime
Or is it still a snowdrop in the snow so fine?
Clear as crystal
Clear as crystal, I can see your face
In a glass of water, you can see your face
How do you feel know, I want to know
Now I can see you so crystal clear
Crystal clear

The sum of all his days
Lord, is this what life is really all about?
We get to You all wrinkled and so worn out
Is life what we have become on our last day?
All weakened and plagued by senile decay
My child, this is not so, I'm pleased to tell you
That I don't see your loved one the way you do
His life before me in panorama displays
And I see him as the sum of all his days
From his final sigh right back to his first breath
All is seen by me when he passed through death
I see the babe giving his parents delight
And the small boy growing up so fair and bright
The young lad entering his turbulent teens
Coming to terms with his inherited genes
All through his adulthood I see him going
Forming new friendships and life overflowing
You see the aging process making him old
But before me I see his whole life unfold
Each second and each moment of the years
I can see his exuberant joys and tears
Then on that final day as in death he lay
I see one who has walked with me all the way
The sum of all his days is what I can see
In your loved one who is standing before Me
And now with Me as his new life he begins
One that is not marred by the effect of sins
Sicknesses and sorrows shall no longer be
For he is now living in heaven with Me
God Has Blessed
God has blessed our lives
God has helped us to survive
In all life's pleasures 'n pains
In all sorts of losses 'n gains
God has blessed our lives
God has helped us to survive
And has kept our spirits high
In all life's weather cool or dry
God has blessed our lives
God has helped us to survive
And he is the one who has shown
Life's nice days and bright morns
God has blesses our lives
God has helped us to survive
And he has given us sunshine
In the form of parent's loving wine.

Park 'n go
as life lives in a part of profane world, the immortality of
soul, struggle the sting of death, in a boundless, limit of
earthly pleasure
like a crystal dropp of sweat, drain in every veins that
gives, each strength the mighty force to carry the weight
beyond its loads of flesh to reach where the soul sprouted
like Lilies of joy in my immortality of soul
life as we take is but, a journey of happiness, waiting where
the final destination it brings, for every life experienced lives
a memory to hold until, life comes to an end, of where it is just
a park and go as it would tell
make each moment to remember, for anything it would bring
is the one that the heart will live, until in heaven it depart, let
the wisdom of time comes, to see the dawning days that
my soul leaves my human body, for thy eternity cloth me, the
day of immortality where a continuous life of an endless free
all will come to witness, that everything in heaven and on earth
will come to an end, for the endless beginning, is the perfection
of creation that, the supreme Lord of the universe, reveals the
completeness light of eternity
as mankind, come and go, park 'n go, the universe has just leads
us to the right direction of where, the path of salvation await our
soul to live.... a final destination with God

Life Is King
Lifes a garden
Life is king
Life is all
And everything
Life is golden
Life is fair
Like a rainbow in your hair
Lifes a once fantastic light
Life is shining in the night
Lifes a fire from above
Life is you
And life is love
Life is golden
Life is king
Life is all and everything
Nothing to believe in
Its just there
Without a care
And no religion
Than the enigma of love
Life is king
Lifes a poison much too strong
Makes you running on and on
Lifes a drug and not your friend
Life will kill you in the end
Life is smooth
And life is friction
Life is such a contradiction
Life is god
And God needs lives
Lifes a billion battlecries
Life is golden. . .

In My Advancing Years
And,
In my advancing years...
Those struggles I feared,
Are memories of my past.
I ask and I've kept,
That peace of mind once out of my reach.
I desire more to explore,
A life now I've allowed to teach.
Instead of a search I keep,
In continued excuses met to refuse...
A life given to me.
And one I discovered I like,
In my advancing years.
And,
In my advancing years...
Tears that once flowed,
For those I miss so much in my life.
Today,
I've come to realize my life should be lived...
And not to fight,
Against...
The acceptance of surprises.
And I should stop sitting on a fence
In those disguises to hide.
In my advancing years,
I've learned to dance...
Until the music stops.
And I'm no longer here...
To hear as clear as I do now.
With ears that will be silenced.
And I should not wait,
Or anticipate the outcome.
But I will instill adventure.
In my advancing years uncensored.

Chilled Waves
That idea itself sent me a chilled wave
I became coward and felt self defeated even though brave
Why it is so threatening with known factor?
We know it well on life’s stage as an actor
Why at all we develop cold feet when reach final stage?
Life is uncertain and we know it to end at any age
Why do we sit alone and think of those golden pages?
Certainly a reminder to know what all had taken place in all the stages
Life has proved a great struggle with all kind of mystery
That has remained hidden in the impregnable wall of history
Even though throughout the life I have shown complete misery
Now that comes before eyes and causes me concern and worry
No one may have soft corner or take note of my departure
As life was dear to me and had used it for self pleasure
Did little or nothing for friends and relatives in any of the case
The life had lost its meaning and eroded the foundation or base
I have survived great onslaught by putting brave front
Life was going to prove as joke but I halted it bluntly
Even though the means employed in it may be selfish or unfair
I thought it a wise step to survive in this world as fair
You will be forgotten completely the moment you are no more
Life’s memory is very short and that is why it remains in the store
I am no exception and think continuously in this regard
It takes me no where as thoughts are pushing me backward
I can’t take steps back ward and improve upon the past
As life has moved many ups and down so fast
I too did some of the things which can’t be considered worthwhile
Life may be over as soon as we are no more and closed the file
Nothing is late in life if you sincerely try to believe
It is not important how much you lived or tried to live
Life can be started fresh if you have chosen to repent
Start with new beginning considering it as heavenly sent

Past, Present, Future
i lived in the past for so long
that the present was always unknown.
now i always look ahead at all the possibilities
and there is so much, that i now see.
a shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel
and my thoughts being poured through a funnel.
the past is the past, and that's where it will stay
and in the present, we have to find a better way.
for the present will soon be our past
and if we don't do something, it will not last.
we must always look to the future
for it is only twenty four hours away
then it will be our past
and we have so much to do and say.
when i look at life, i truely have to laugh
today is our future and tomorrow it'll be our past.
now that i have you confused as to what i am
trying to say.
i guess i will try' to put it a better way'.
we all tend to procrastinate
always leaving it for tomorrow.
but! what if you don't see tomorrow.
and today you did'nt accomplish that task
how will you be remembered
if the present you left for last.
when we leave this material world
and our souls soar up in the sky
we will still have our memories
and that we can rely.
for when we get up there(if we do)
your soul will have carried all that you did
in this life
and the memories of friends, family
husband, or wife.
now when you look down on all that you had did
and asking yourself the question.
did i use my time, the way it was
meant to be?
or did i procrastinate, that others now speak of me?
we all have to work in order to survive.
but we must stop on occasion to smell the flowers.
and to enjoy all that we was given
otherwise how can you call this living.
(my thoughts: the words and stories were given to me.
so that i could write them down, for al the world to see.)
this is my philosophy.
