Crown Of Thorns 300th

the crown of thorns pierced his skin.
he bled outside and within.

he knew that this was meant to be
so that all mankind could be set free.

although his heart and body
was full of pain
he knew the world
would never be the same.

as they laid him upon the cross
and tied his hands and feet.
he knew that soon
his father he would meet.

he felt the spikes pierce his hands
and his blood fall to the ground.
he had wanted to scream
but did not make a sound.

they then took his feet
and did the same.
but he refused to give in
and took all the pain.

the pain is for the world
that was coming to an end
and he also knew
that he was given up by a friend

and as they picked up the cross
and placed it in the ground.

he heard the screams of the others
asking to go with him
and to ask GOD above to
wipe away their sins.

the crown of thorns that
they placed upon your head.

is for all the pains
that this world will soon dread.

I Will Rise Again

I walk through the wilderness,
with sandals on my feet,
a crown of thorns around my head,
one-person helps with the cross that I carry.
Crowds follow my progress,
women weep at my feet.
I go to meet my father,
somewhere out there.

The crosses stand tall,
victims scream out with pain.
I am laid on my back,
my arms pulled open wide.
The nails penetrate my palms.
I feel no pain,
my feet are then nailed,
and still there is no pain.

The cross is hoisted up,
for all to see.
I look down at those,
all gathered there.
A spear bites my side,
but I do not die.
Stillness enshrouds everyone,
as silence falls all around.

My fate is sealed,
but I will rise again.
Men will dine with me,
just one more time.
My name will be remembered,
for eons to come.
They will call me by many names,
because I am God’s son.

Mary from Nazareth

Mary innocent girl from Nazareth
when you went on your knees
standing in front of the God of the universe,
before your marriage already pregnant against the law

did you know that the Godly child that you were carrying
would only depend on His heavenly Father,
that He would be downtrodden by men and despised
without ever complaining about his fate?

With your fear during childbearing with pain circled out wider
did you know that He would bring salvation to the world with pain,
that blows would cleave into his body, with a crown of thorns upon His head,
before nails would pierce his hands and feet mercilessly?

That night right there in the stable
when your gaze fell over the bare circumstances
did you know blessed woman,
that the God of the universe

came to this world only as a mere man,
stripped from his omnipotence without end
to fulfil His mission here as a mortal
without cursing those that were murdering Him?

When you nursed and cared for Him day after day
teaching Him to count on His fingers
did you realise the depth of His love and knowledge
when He told the priests in the temple about God?

Mary from Nazareth, when fear were cutting through your motherly heart
when you saw your darling child suffering,
hanging for the entire world on the cross
did you know that his omnipotent Father was still near?

When His last power dissipated on the cross
were you then estranged from your son
or did you know that He would rise again
to take up His place as the conquering God?

Mary woman from Nazareth did you remember His words,
or did the mourning mangle you too deeply
when your son carried the shame of the world
to know that you could trust His promises?

l’Envoi
When thunder cleaved through the air and fell in darkness
while He died next to a murderer and thief, of sin an image
did you know why a God had to die
that your own child had to prove that God loves selflessly?

or would this realization only later become clear from the words of His followers,
did you know that He would bring salvation to the world with pain,
that blows would cleave into his body, with a crown of thorns upon His head,
before nails would pierce his hands and feet mercilessly?

The Unsung Hero

I thought for a moment that he never felt the PAINS,
When he beared the burden of our guilts and STAINS.
You can't imagine what he went THROUGH,
for him to wipe away all of our sins THROUGH.
You can't imagine the whole of the SHAME,
when he left all his fortunes and FAME.
His head was punctured by THORNS,
and his body was tortured untill his cloth was TORN.
They put the nail throught his hands and FEET,
even as his imaculate and pure heart BEAT.
He cried out all of tears from his EYES,
untill his eyes were as dry as ICE.
They piassed his palm to the STAKE,
For all of human SAKE.
He didn't have to do it, but he did it ANYWAY,
for us to change from our evil WAYS.
He really love us so much that he took our PLACE,
In sacrificing himself for the whole of human RACE.
He died for our sins as if he's the ONE,
in expense of our freedom cos he WON.
He was humilated in front of MANY,
And as dejected by MANY.
They gave him the heavy cross to CARRY,
with so much hatred and MOCKERY.
He was whipped and scourged so HARD,
that his screems can be heard from 10 YARDS.
The stood there at calvary and watch him DIE,
After all the false accusations and LIES.
Even when he screemed ' IT IS FINISHED',
The whole world knew that ' IT WAS FINISHED '.
His blood paid that great price for our SINS,
For us to be free from our guilt and SINS.
He died bearing the burden of our INIQUITY,
for the betterment of the world and all HUMANITY.
It wasn't easy for him to do IT,
But at d end, it was worth IT.

Jesus upon the Cross

The bruised and battered, bleeding Lord,
Christ Jesus nailed upon the cross,
Appears in truth before my eyes:
Reminding me, the love of God!

The crown of thorns upon His head,
To mock the greatest ‘King of kings’,
So deeply pierced His scalp to skull:
What pain they must have caused till dead!

His back had gashes by lashes;
A spear had pierced His very heart;
The nails driven in wrists and feet,
Had broken bones to reach the wood.

His anguished face was calm and kind;
He paid the bloody price for sins
Of every sinner – all mankind!
Oh, what a supreme sacrifice!

Forgive us Lord; forget our sins;
They caused thine death upon the cross;
‘The Son obeyed His Father’s wish! ’
Must I remain then still selfish?

You Chose To Climb The Hill And Not Turn Back

'Father, not My will, but Yours be done, ' You said
then climbed the hill to the cross Your blood to shed.
There You chose to bear my pain and wear my shame
even though You were innocent and not to blame.

A load much heavier than the cross You bore
piercing deeper than the crown of thorns You wore.
You were smitten of God and forsaken too
when my sin came between the Father and You.

There lash by lash the price for each sin You paid
as all my guilt and shame upon You was laid.
Then 'It is finished, ' in victory You cried
as You bowed Your head upon that cross and died.

Deep waves of love and mercy flowed from the cross
as Your blood was poured out all my sins to wash.
They're gone as far as the East is from the West
and I'm now forgiven and so very blessed.

Because You hung there on the cross in my stead.
Because Your blood was upon the altar shed.
Because of You, Lord Jesus I can go free.
Because You chose the road to Calvary.

Son Of God

(07/01/11

God had a plan- so he made his son a man
He knew his son would have to be the sacrificial lamb
So that this world could understand.

JESUS offered his life so that the world could be free
He offered his life for you and me.
He knew that his life would be short lived
And come to an end.
Yet he preached his fathers words to foe and friend.

He knew deep inside his soul
That someday, the world he would hold
And of this -he was told.
So much love he had inside
And this love he could not hide.

As he preached the word of God
He described his earthly mission.
The lord had appointed him to preach
The gospel to the poor, the rich, the destitute
And anyone who would listen.

His father had told him that he had healing hands
And could heal people through out the land.
To be able to cure the blind, the lame, and the possessed
These were the biggest tests.

Then the day finally came that they would take him away
Accused by his so called peers, under the screams
Laughter and jeers.

Stripped and whipped and crowned with thorns
And blood running down his face
This was the ultimate disgrace
For a man who was said to be a king
That he was stripped of every thing.

Although the cross he carried was made of wood
It is something that is still not understood.
That we must all carry a cross in this life
This is our ultimate sacrifice.

Could/Would You Change Places With Jesus

I looked upon the picture of CHRIST
And I felt so ashamed.
He died for us! Was it all in vain?
Every whiplash opening up his flesh
Would you be able to take it?
Could you pass this test?

What about the crown of thorns
Piercing deep into his head
Would you have changed places with him?
Would you be there instead?

Would you have been able to carry your
Own cross up the mountain top?
And then get beat every time that you stopped.
Would you have been able to stay conscious
As the nails pierced your hands and feet?
Or would you have just fainted
Because your constitution is much too weak.

Can you imagine your mother crying out your name
People throwing rocks and mocking you
While your mothers heart in pain.
Is your faith so strong, that you
Would do what he had done?
Or would you turn your back and just begin to run.
Would you have been able to utter:
‘ forgive them LORD, for they know not what they do.
Or would you have cursed them
Until your life on earth was through.
Would any of us have had that strength
To take all that pain? - I think not!
And that’s a crying shame.

But he doesn’t expect us to suffer as he had done.
For he came to save this world.
“THIS WAS GODS SON”!

The Holy Cross That Jesus Bore …

The Holy Cross set mankind free
From mortal sins of every kind,
When Jesus died upon this tree,
And paid price with His precious blood!

The flaying and abuses hurled
Left gashes deep upon His back,
With burning pain, no man can bear,
And yet, our living God does care!

And every time that Jesus fell
Reminds the weight of mankind’s sins
Became more than, He could carry,
Trudging His way to Calvary!

The nails we drove into His Hands
Were sins that God for man forbade;
Excruciating pain, they caused
As bones were broken with blood-spurt!

The crown of thorns were sins of mine
Like jealousy, ego and pride,
And vanity of kings futile,
That pierced His scalp and drew out blood!

Those desperate moments of Christ
As ebbing life and untold pain
Upon Him seized, were caused by sins
That we repeatedly commit.

Each dropp of bloody sweat that fell
From brow of head of Jesus Christ,
As shock and pain engulfed His mind
That witnessed ruthlessness of men!

The words of wisdom, Jesus spoke
Despite His sorrow-afilled heart
Are exemplary and so strange
Revealing love of God boundless.

The Holy Cross has set us free
From punishments for sins truly;
Repent, we must for each folly,
And enter Heaven’s life jolly!

Forgive us Lord for sins galore;
That we commit so stupidly,
Although we know that You detest
And fail so many times Your test.

O God of love and rod so stern!
We thank You for sending Your Son,
Who saved us all from fire of hell
‘Spare us, O Lord; Spare thy people! ’

Calvary

The Cross of Christ laid on the ground
And Jesus closed His eyes,
His beating heart the only sound
That He could realise...
They held Him down and nailed Him fast
As He screamed out in pain,
His blood ran cold, for now, at last,
He knew He would be slain...
The Cross of Christ was hoisted up,
With Him, the Romans' toy,
They offered Him the drug-filled cup,
Some mercy to employ...
But He refused to dull the ache,
The horror and the fear,
He knew the sacrifice to make
And kept it pure and clear...
The Cross of Christ was where He stayed,
No angels rescued Him,
They humbly watched as Christ obeyed
Before God's seraphim...
The Father stared from Heaven's Throne,
At Christ who wore a crown,
Forced there by Roman hearts of stone,
Now gambling for His gown...
The Cross of Christ was hid from sight
As God's Love looked away
And turned that sacred day to night
As He kept tears at bay...
One angel wept, then all joined in
And God wept tears as well.
This was the sacrifice for sin...
So we'd not go to Hell...
The Cross of Christ was where He died,
That place called Calvary,
That green hill far away supplied,
That haunts eternity...
That day when Mary's heartbeat stopped
In unison yet lived,
That time the Saviour's head had dropped,
With death His precious gift...
The Cross of Christ still bore His Blood,
Though Christ was in His tomb
And God observed that holy flood,
With hatred and with gloom...
Yet Christ had prayed, forgive them all,
They know not what they do...
So God sent preachers like Saint Paul,
Because Christ died... for you...

Understand the Blood that He Shed

Before He left this unholy ground,
The Lord came to Him with angels with little sound.

While many of them were scared to believe and scorned,
Many were still there to show much they believed and mourned.

As those whips hit and tore His flesh,
None of them knew that the Lord was there to protect him with His loving mesh.

Only if they knew that while Christ dragged the Cross he fell to the ground,
That with the Lord in His Loving Heart, that He could handle anything that comes around.

And as those thorns were stuck in his head,
Hopefully one day they will finally understand the Blood that He Shed.

As that sun light hit the cross,
Maybe their understanding finally did come and it is to the rightful gain not a loss.

Even though they had there could have tried while they were there to live.
Hopefully, we can see it as the only truth and see everything that He is here to give.

So please take their thoughts of what they saw of Christ,
With His Love, then we all can rise to the Eternal Life against anything that can be enticed.

Brier: Good Friday

Because, dear Christ, your tender, wounded arm
Bends back the brier that edges life's long way,
That no hurt comes to heart, to soul no harm,
I do not feel the thorns so much to-day.
Because I never knew your care to tire,
Your hand to weary guiding me aright,
Because you walk before and crush the brier,
It does not pierce my feet so much to-night.
Because so often you have hearkened to
My selfish prayers, I ask but one thing now,
That these harsh hands of mine add not unto
The crown of thorns upon your bleeding brow.

Song (1909)

'Oh! Love,' they said, 'is King of Kings,
And Triumph is his crown.
Earth fades in flame before his wings,
And Sun and Moon bow down.' -
But that, I knew, would never do;
And Heaven is all too high.
So whenever I meet a Queen, I said,
I will not catch her eye.

'Oh! Love,' they said, and 'Love,' they said,
'The gift of Love is this;
A crown of thorns about thy head,
A nd vinegar to thy kiss!' -
But Tragedy is not for me;
And I'm content to be gay.
So whenever I spied a Tragic Lady,
I went another way.

And so I never feared to see
Y ou wander down the street,
Or come across the fields to me
On ordinary feet.
For what they'd never told me of,
And what I never knew;
It was that all the time, my love,
Love would be merely you.

Crucified

Skin punctured by a crown of thorns,
but the pain was for feeling all forlorn.
Blood dripping over his sweating brow,
God only knows what will happen now.

Nails hammered through his wrists and feet,
an agonising way for the Lord to greet.
A man given punishment for all men to see
today a man was crucified on Calvary.

With greater stress now coming to bear
he hung in pain and suffered there.
Uttering to his Father, Lord, why me?
And there he died for humanity.

A Rusty Nail

I ran a nail into my hand,
The wound was hard to heal;
So bitter was the pain to stand
I thought how it would feel,
To have spikes thrust through hands and feet,
Impaled by hammer beat.

Then hoisted on a cross of oak
Against the sullen sky,
With all about the jeering follk
Who joyed to see me die;
Die hardly in insensate heat,
With bleeding hands and feet.

Yet was it not that day of Fate,
Of cruelty insane,
Climaxing centuries of hate
That woke our souls to pain!
And are we not the living seed
Of those who did the deed!

Of course, with thankful heart I know
We are not fiends as then;
And in a thousand years or so
We may be gentle men.
But it has cost a poisoned hand,
And pain beyond a cry,
To make me strangely understand
A Cross against the sky.

Cross Of Thorns

Dont come closer, cos it aint safe here,
Just turn around now and walk away.
Ive gotta tell you, there are no rules here,
Sometimes I wonder, what goes on there,
Behind those-eyes.
Chorus:
When a promise is broken, and no one trusts you,
Young ones crying with their heads in their hands,
When you talk about saving, the souls of the faithful,
You cant help thinking, youve got blood on your
Hands.
From a cross of thorns.
Tongues of fire always talking, wasted words that
Ring in my ears.
Were still waiting, losing patience, will all the
Lies of, 400 houndred years.
Ive got to tell you, there are no rules here,
Sometimes I wonder, what goes on there,
Behind those-eyes.
Chorus
We gave you yesterday, and now you want to-day,
Oh, from the hands of death we take our daily bread,
Now all we do is choke, and the words that you once
Spoke, fade away.
Look at what youve done, oh, its a cross of thorns.
Take away, this cross of thorns, look at what youve
Done.
Its a cross of thorns, cross of thorns.
When a promise is broken, and no one trusts you,
Youve got blood on your hands, from a cross of
Thorns.

You don't know thisyet but you will soon.
Do you know, Please know this now.
Your duaghter is going to top herself tonight.
She dosen't want you tosave her this time.
But she wants you to know that she's sorry.
Sorry for all the pain she's cuased.
But her life she can no longer bear to live.

Her heart and minfd has spoken to her.
She knew the truth.
She knew she could never be free from her past.
She knew the hurt and pain would always be there.
She knew it was killing her inside.
She knew that she could not fight any more.
She allways knew she'd lose the fight.
And deep down she allways knew,
in her heart that it would come to this.
That it would come to her suiciide.

She just wants youtoknow these things.
She loves you so much.
She couldn't make you watchher like this anymore.
And shesm sorry

Porcelina Of The Vast Ocean

I fear that I am ordinary, just like everyone
To lie here and die among the sorrows
Drift along the days
For everything I ever saidAnd everything I've ever done is gone and dead
As all things must surely have to endAnd great loves will one day have to part
I know that I'm not ment for this world
My live's been extraordinary
Blessed and cursed and wons
Time heals but I'm forever brokenBy and by the way....
Have you ever heard the wordsI'm singing in this song?
It for the one I've waited all along
Can a taste of love be so wrong?
As all things must surely have to endAnd great loves will one day have to part
I know that I'm not ment for this world
And in my mind as I was floatingFar above the clouds
Some children laughed I'd fall for certain
For thinking that I'd last forever
But I knew exactly where I was
And I knew the meaning of it all
And I knew the distance to the sun
And I knew the echo that is love
And I knew the secrets in your spires
And I knew the emptiness of youth
And I knew the solitude of hearts
And I knew the murmurs of the soul
And the world is drawn into your hands
And the world is ethed upon your heart
And the world so hard to understand
Is the world you can't live without
'Cause I knew the silence of the world

Finally...Here We Are

I knew you knew me.
The moment I saw you,
I knew you knew.

I knew you felt my heart.
The passion and compassion.
Here inside...
Wishing for someone to recognize.

I knew you knew me.
The moment I saw you,
I knew you knew.

I knew you too wanted to touch.
And we hungered for that very much.

And finally...
Here we are!
To notice,
And taste this dream.

Advice In The Wilderness

I dreamt I saw Christ walking
Within the wilderness...
And with Him, Satan talking,
To curse and not to bless...
I watched the Devil laughing
At Jesus all alone,
And as the Lord was starving,
Advised, 'Make bread from stone...'

Lord Jesus quoted what He'd learnt,
That Man needs more than bread,
That comes to us from ovens burnt,
So that each one is fed...
Each word of God can feed the soul,
As if a child within,
So that it gains some self-control
And faith that won't give in...

Then Satan promised all the lands,
The kingdoms he possessed,
If Jesus merely raised His hands
In worship, He'd be blessed!
Lord Jesus knew His Father's will,
The Lamb of God was He!
The Saviour who would climb that hill
That men called Calvary!

The Devil merely cleared his throat,
As he continued on
And of the Scriptures he took note,
'One life, then it is gone...
If you fell from a mountain top,
God would protect His Son...'
But Jesus Christ refused to drop,
To test what could be done...

To Calvary, Christ went to die...
A crown of thorns to wear...
To suffer shame for you and I,
Man's shameful sins to bear...
God's great advice He listened to,
By faith, He bled and bled...
You see, He knew God's Word was true...
Enough to raise the dead!
