Butterfly
butterfly
I stopped to look at a butterfly-then it flew away.
Yet! -left me with an impression.
With me it will always stay.
Its wings were a beautiful brown-with polka dots you see.
I had wanted to grab it-but I knew it had to be free.
They only have a short life span
But in their life -they live an eternity.
They have no worries or cares-but in their life they share
All the joys of yesteryear…
If man could be as a butterfly-and enjoy and share life.
we would not have to go through, all our struggles and strife.

Butterfly...my all..my own, Butterfly
My butterfly, I remember the
day we met. You bumped into me.
Well, sort of floated, from no where,
and from that moment, I recall what
I said, 'Well, my little butterfly,
where did you come from.?
Butterfly, you laughed, and responded,
'I picked you out, and just floated down,
and landed on your shoulder.
Butterfly, there are many that think
that a Butterfly, can't laugh, but you did.
They think that a Butterfly, does not cry,
but you have.
Can a Butterfly be happy, cause happiness?
Butterfly, of mine...you did.
Can a Butterfly, caused one to nearly burst
with joy? Butterfly, you did and you have.
Butterfly, there is not a moment, since I
met you, that I can not recall.
Some might wonder what a butterfly, drinks.
Butterfly, shall we let them know, we became
intoxicated, as we sipped the nectar of life.
As my butterfly and I floated through the
wonders of earth, I wish we could share the
joy we found, with all of this planet.
Butterfly, shall we always be together?
Butterfly, I do not mean, just here on
earth, I mean until the stars stop shinning.
Butterfly, I mean, until there is no moon...
no anything, but my Butterfly and I.
Butterfly...I think that we will. Butterfly,
I believe that we were meant to be.
On Wing and Wind...

I captured a butterfly in a jar
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I danced around in the grass for hours
Chasing it down stumbling falling laughing
Making the chase the most rewarding
I captured a butterfly in a jar
There it was for me to hold and keep forever
Anytime I wanted to relish in the joy of life
There it was for me to look upon
I captured a butterfly in a jar
Time eroded on and all things change
The butterfly became just another bug
Trapped in a glass cage
I captured a butterfly in a jar
And saw how sad it truly was
A prisoner and I the jailer
I had to let it go
I captured a butterfly in a jar
I opened that lid and allowed it to go
And it flew away far from me
It left me yearning for that summer day
I captured a butterfly in a jar
But maybe it captured me
Because ever since that butterfly flew away
I have never again felt free
Butterfly Free
Butterfly, Butterfly; so awsome and free, spread your wings and fly to me, ever so gracefull and full of love, you shine like the sun above, Butterfly, Butterly, so awsome and free
, I wishfor the true love you, d bring me to see, Butterfly, Butterfly, so full of color and chear, when I see you, I feel you so near, Butterfly, Butterfly, you lighten my day, and hope in my life you will stay.................

My love is a butterfly
My love's like a butterfly caged in my heart
And dashing in the darkness, searching for way out.
My love's like a butterfly with a burnt tired wings,
With a short memory, with no deadly sins.
My love's just a butterfly, it can't find the key,
But still hovers silently and wants to get free.
My love's like a butterfly with one given chance
To get out of my chest and become a romance.
But you have to help her to break out from inside,
My love is a butterfly, it can't give a fight.
Why my love is the butterfly seeking for peace?
It's unsafe fleeting life is intended for miss...
Now you know my love's butterfly, fragile, not free
You can kill it unwittingly, with just one memory.

Butterfly
On a horrid summer's day I seclude myself away,
Only to be drawn out to the light by nature at play,
Butterfly oh Butterfly carelessly fluttering by,
Your elegant dance entrances the innocence in me,
Butterfly oh Butterfly know that you spur great envy,
You are so very beautiful careless peaceful and sweet,
Your life is simple yet no different to the one I lead,
You are but a pattern in a endless chaotic sea,
Your pace of life seems slow yet you achieve as much as me,
You know life's meaning is less if it's not wholly free,
Butterfly oh Butterfly although you spur great envy,
I know that if you could you would envy the life I lead.

The Crow and The Butterfly
Ever wonder why the Crow chases the Butterfly?
Have you ever heard the Crow let out it's cry?
I think I found out why...
It's quite the interesting story, I had to pry..
The Butterfly's beauty, the Crow's will never match.
The Crow's life is nothing compared the the Butterfly's since it's first hatch.
If you are good enough to get a Butterfly, that is quite a catch.
Get a Crow somehow and it gets thrown right back out to the patch.
The Crow has had it so much easier than the Butterfly.
Straight jealousy from the Crow because they have to share the sky.
The Butterfly's flight is reason to stare, the Crow's just reason to cry.
Everyone stops to get a glance of a Buttflies, a few Crows and people pass by.
So if you ever hear a Crow cry,
Or see a Butterfly being chased by a Crow,
Just think how bad that Crow wants to be a Butterfly.....

The Shortest Moment That The Butterfly Tries To Speak
how many flutters of its wings is its lifetime?
not a hundred, this butterfly with blue shaking lines on its wings
some dots of black on the lower tip
some flaps of dust as you hold it.
we love to see it freely hovering from one flower to another
blending with its colors, it is not trying to hide anything
beautiful, it is showing itself, beautiful butterfly,
how gentle, soft to our hearts as we watch it
there is no sound of its wings and its graceful feeding on the nectars
then it rests on a leaf. we leave it there.
the wind last night was strong.
we see the leaf where it stayed on the pebbled ground.
there are no wings. there is no trace where the blue butterfly is.
how many flutters did that butterfly make?
such a brief moment, yet so beautiful
that is the message of the life of its lost wings.

Ode to a Butterfly
Butterfly, oh butterfly, why do you hide in the shadows?
Spread wide your wings, let your heart sing
And come dance with me in the meadow
Butterfly, oh butterfly, why do you fear?
You'll never stray, I'll lead the way
Just follow the path, I'll be near
Butterfly, oh butterfly, have you no hope?
Drink of the sun, our life's just begun
Thro time's hills and valleys we'll lope
Butterfly, oh butterfly, dare you to dream?
On our hearts we depend, shall we follow the wind
And consign to the fates grander scheme?

Butterfly, Butterfly
Hoping to catch your eye
Circling around you, oh my
Butterfly, butterfly, come into the light
Oh, what a beautiful sight
Flying so gracefully
Into the sky, the butterfly
Trying to catch a butterfly
Fly, fly, fly, butterfly
There he sets upon the mums
I'm having so much fun
Here's another on the sill
Your standing so still
You go to touch him
There he goes, the butterfly
I hear a tapping on the window
It's the butterfly, fly, fly, fly
There he goes into the sky
Flying so high, the butterfly
I'll see you another day
Butterfly, butterfly, away

Butterfly Net
~A song before love, obviously.~
You are a butterfly,
Flying ever so high,
I could gaze at you until I die.
Life is a butterfly,
Clip the wings and you’ll never fly,
I will live until I die.
I am a butterfly net,
I’ll take you, faster than a jet,
I steal you, the only way you I could get.
I am an entomologist,
I dissect you, never kissed,
They’ll see I’m ****ed.
In the end,
I’ll always see you around the bend,
Up to date on the latest trend,
If only in my butterfly net.

Life Bottled is Death
I am a butterfly
I flitter about
I rest awhile
I soar
What makes me beautiful?
I could keep you guessing for hours.
Capture me with a lid and bowl
I will die before your eyes.
My wings loose desire, life vanishes from my soul.
As I sit in despair my heart returns to the cocoon.
Look at what you are missing,
life without rhythm to a butterflies tune.
Trust in the nature of a thing.
A butterfly flitters and flies,
it may return it may go.
Isn't that what makes it truly beautiful?
Who would watch a butterfly if we already knew it's next move?
Trust in the nature of a thing.
For a butterfly is always a butterfly
whether resting or soaring,
or tightly wrapped in a cocoon.

A Flower's Song
Oh butterfly, beautiful butterfly,
when you first did flutter-by,
i said ' You'll not be in my life very long',
you said ' I will, for my love is so strong',
but deep in my heart, i knew that one day,
my beautiful butterfly, would flutter away,
you see, you take from me all that you need,
and all i ask is that you take my seed,
when you have finished and i wilt away,
because of you, the memory of me will alway's stay.

I Let Go…
Butterfly, butterfly, don’t leave me,
The world is very cruel, so stay with me,
I’ll give all that you need, will be a sister and a friend,
Just stay with me and let our friendship extend.
The Sun you’re in love can burn you into dust,
For the pretty Birds of Prey, you are just a yummy snack.
The beauty of the sky that you see from this ground,
Won’t be what you find once you leave this compound.
You left me once, no, no, twice or thrice,
But flew back to me with your torn wings; your price,
The lessons you learnt, I thought would have taught you something
If you leave me again I know you’ll be reduced to nothing.
Butterfly, butterfly go away…
I never meant to force you to stay…
If leaving me is what you really want,
Here you go… you’re free, you’ll get what you want.

Torn Butterfly
Torn butterfly torn butterfly
Seeing you there it makes me cry
Torn butterfly your wings they tore
From the weight that they bore
Torn butterfly it's plain to see
That you are just the same as me
Torn butterfly the world is tough
Hard as stones and just as rough
Torn butterfly I know your pain
And I don't want to know it again
Torn butterfly come join me now
And we'll regain our wings somehow
Torn butterfly it's sad but true
In death our wings become brand new
Torn butterfly just fade away
And we will fly this very day
Torn butterfly this note I send
And hope that you will cause your end
So we can fly in clear blue skies
Where no one hurts and no one cries
Torn butterfly with my last breath
I ask you to come join me in death

Only myself in a crowded street
Only myself walking down the crowded street,
Everyone around me like statues in a park.
Here’s a car waiting to turn,
There’s an old man feeding the birds.
I can picture what there doing,
But their only paused.
As though the video is stopped,
They just stand there waiting for it to play.
This strange new world where all time has stopped,
Why have I been brought to this odd dimension?
Only I can move back and forth,
Only I can reach out and feel their stone cold hands.
Many questions left unanswered,
And no one there to ask.
Desperately I search,
For any sign of life.
Then strangely I see,
A little insect fly.
As though in this despair,
There is something there besides myself.
I follow the butterfly,
As though it is my one last hope.
It lands on a head,
Of one of these statue-like beings.
And suddenly they start moving,
As though given life.
The little flying insect,
Skips from one to another.
Each and every one that the butterfly touches,
Starts moving in their step.
Each action that I pictured,
Becomes real before my eyes.
Then the little butterfly flies,
Back into the sky.
Never to be seen again,
Or so I thought that day.
Then after years gone by,
And I turned old and fragile.
Laying in my bed,
Looking up into the sky.
I saw the little butterfly,
Fly down to where I lay.
Landed by my ear,
And softly spoke to me.
“It is time for you to leave, ”
Said the little butterfly.
“I’ll bring you to a place,
That will give you life once more.”
Then the little butterfly,
Flew onto my forehead.
And flew off to another stone planet,
Leaving my body statue-like.

Beautiful Broken Butterfly
Butterfly, you flew away
And at first I didn't know
How each hard day was
Straining on you so
Little butterfly, so fragile
With a wingspan of compassion
You flew with swift emotion
While I was grounded by my ration
Small butterfly, I know that
You can do it, when you flew
Because I have seen that
Longing freedom deep down inside of you
My lonely butterfly, my dear
Can I call you my own?
Or were you meant only to
Be free to forever roam
Butterfly, will you come back
To this home I've made in my heart
If you should come, I feel that
Together, we can make our brand new start.

Yellow Butterfly
Music : rudolf schenker, marti frederiksen
Lyrics: klaus meine
In the temple of gods
The day had come to come together
In the early morning sun
They saw that girl that come to heaven
They ask her bout life on earth
If it was getting any better
She told em someone took her life
If they could send her back
Just one more time
She knew that someone feels so blue
Wouldnt it be nice ...hold on
To spread the wings and fly ...dont kill the butterfly
To see him one more time ...hold on
To be a yellow butterfly ...dont kill the butterfly
Hes been sitting on the bay
Lost inside a cloud of darkness
When I saw the butterfly
Dancing in the wind
The story goes
He knew that she was still so close
Wouldnt it be nice ...hold on
To spread the wings and fly ...dont kill the butterfly
To see him one more time ...hold on
To be a yellow butterfly ...dont kill the butterfly

Apparition of a Butterfly
Upon a fuzzy vista – vision blurred –
I tried to focus; nothing ever solid
Came to view, but undeterred, I blinked
An eye to try again. Through the mist
A coloured hue; polychromatic flames
Had flickered at a whim; a rhythm bore
A thrumming too: a naturalistic hymn.
Behold! Were I to find a synonym to
Reproduce or recreate
The apparition of a butterfly,
Evolving through the waning vapour,
Drawing on a sigh from this romantic.
Glory be! The raging sun above
Had fired his furnace, flaming off
The hangers on. Now I saw the flare:
His time has come. He spread a tortoiseshell –
A scene of Mother Nature at her best.
I lay in peace in knowing I was blessed.
