Touch the Sky
I’m often like a little child
I look up at the clouds
and then I reach my hand up
in an effort to touch sky.
See I believe if I
touch the sky then
just maybe I will
shake the hand of
the creator.
And after I shake the creator’s
hand then maybe I get the
respect I deserve.
Maybe I will no longer be looked
at as dangerous because of
the complexion of my skin.
Also maybe I will no longer be belittled
just because I have a disability.
And finally maybe I will be able to go to sleep
at night looking forward to waking up instead of
hoping for death.
And that’s is why I’ll keep reaching
until I touch the sky.

Shake A Hand (take 2)
Just leave it to me
Don't ever be ashamed
Just give me a chance
I'll take care of everything
Your troubles I'll share
Let me know and I'll be there
I'll stay close to you
Anyplace and anywhere
Shake a hand, shake a hand
Shake a hand if you can
Be truthful to me,
I'll be truthful to you
I'm in love with you so
Till I don't know what to do
So, let's call it a day
I said all I have to say
Except don't forget to pray
And shake a hand ev'ry day
Shake a hand, shake a hand,
Shake a hand if you can

Reach Out And Touch
(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
(just try)
Take a little time out of your busy day
To give encouragement
To someone who's lost the way
(just try)
Or would i be talking to a stone
If i asked you
To share a problem that's not your own
We can change things if we start giving
Why don't you
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
(just try)
If you see an old friend on the street
And he's down
Remember his shoes could fit your feet
(just try)
Try a little kindness you'll see
It's something that comes very naturally
We can change things if we start giving
Why don't you
Reach out and touch
Why don't you (why don't you)
Reach out and touch somebody's hand
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place
If you can
Reach out and touch
Somebody's hand
Make this world a better place

Shake A Hand
(Morris)
Just leave it to me, now don't you ever be changed,
just give me a chance and I'll take care of everything.
Your troubles I share, I'll let you know when I'll be there.
I'll take care, take care of you, any place and everywhere.
Shake a hand, shake a hand, a-shake a hand if you can.
Shake a hand, shake a hand, shake a hand if you can.
Be truthful to me and I'll be truthful to you.
But I'm in love, I'm in love with your soul, and I don't now just what to do.
So let's call it a day, I've said all I've gotta say
except, oh yeah, baby, you gotta learn how to pray and shake a hand every day.
Be truthful to me and I'll be truthful to you.
But I'm in love, I'm in love with your soul, and I don't now just what to do.
So shake a hand, shake a hand, shake a hand if you can.
Shake a hand, shake a hand, shake a hand if you can.

Is that creator in you?
Let their sun rise to them from our west,
Let the doubtful ignorance be cleared as the mist,
Let the program on every chip be our tips,
Let our people wake up in pleasant hand shake.
The old civilizations and new world in Pacific Ocean,
The same old genes of first generation peaceful human,
The chart of nomenclature with variant faith, dream and color,
under the great grand name of Human, the creator.
The creator of the fire for the food,
The creator of tools for the growth,
The creator of mechanics for the transport,
The creator of electricity for the comfort,
The creator of magnificent diodes,
The creator of tiny humble chips,
The creator of laptop and internet,
The creator of wars based on faith,
The creator of ignorance,
To destroy all these intelligence.
Let the creator of peace in you evolve,
to teach the destroyers who revolve,
to reach those hearts that tremble,
Let us have the peace that triumphs.

I Have The Touch
The time I like is the rush hour, cos I like the rush
The pushing of the people - I like it all so much
Such a mass of motion - do not know where it goes
I move with the movement and ... I have the touch
Im waiting for ignition, Im looking for a spark
Any chance collision and I light up in the dark
There you stand before me, all that fur and all that hair
Oh, do I dare ... I have the touch
Wanting contact
Im wanting contact
Im wanting contact with you
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Give me the thing I understand
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Any social occasion, its hello, how do you do
All those introductions, I never miss my cue
So before a question, so before a doubt
My hand moves out and ... I have the touch
Wanting contact
Im wanting contact
Im wanting contact with you
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Give me the thing I understand
Shake those hands, shake those hands
Pull my chin, stroke my hair, scratch my nose, hug my knees
Try drink, food, cigarette, tension will not ease
I tap my fingers, fold my arms, breathe in deep, cross my legs
Shrug my shoulders, stretch my back - but nothing seems
To please
I need contact
I need contact
Nothing seems to please
I need contact

Fontana
We can rejoice, stomach flutters
shaking elbows, still demand
that i ask you for an answer
to the question here at hand
why did he reach out to you just now
touch your hand and say good bye
you can hear him, breathing heavy
with the sound so physical
in his blue jeans, hes bo-legged
and hes stupid, like a bull
why did he reach out to you just now
touch your hand and say good bye
why did he reach out to you just now
touch your hand and say good bye
hows a man supose to stand up so tall
when he fells like he could die
can you hear him
can you hear him
can you hear him
can you hear him
ohhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhh
ohhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhh

My Daily Ritual
On waking and rising
First foot to touch the floor
Thank you thank you thank you
Second foot to touch the floor
Thank you thank you thank you
Such is my daily ritual
in respect, adoration and honor
of my creator
Without daily thanks
we cannot move forward
we will remain as we are
Without daily thanks
we cannot appreciate
what we are or who we can become
Without understanding this fact
we remain trapped in our own
limiting abilities
Gratitude can set us free

The Touch Of
The Touch of Your Kiss
A Touch of Your Hand
The touch of your Soft Hair
A Touch of Your Beautiful Eyes
The feel of your hair touching My Face
The Sweet smell of rain that touches Your Soul
A soft touch of a babies skin
Touch of our hearts since we met
The Touch of your smile
A Touch of your love is all I Really Need.

Oceans
Into the night, two of a kind
We rode the crest of the wave
Are we destined to leave love behind
Ill pay the price, just tell me the cost
To save something here in our heart
Something dear that cannot be lost
And I cant help but wonder out loud
If only we could go back to square one
If finally we could pinpoint where we lost touch
I stand alone, reaching out my hand to you
*oceans between us
Strangers upon the shore
Like islands we stand alone
Oceans between us now
Oceans surround us
Stand and watch as they disappear
To challenge the rising tide
Or drown in a sea of tears*
We shut out the hurt, we cast love aside
Stubborn beyond the point of all reason
Stranded by pride
Craving your touch, oh, under its spell
Knowing for certain that no one on earth
Could love you so well
And I know that youre wondering now
If only we could go back to square one
If finally we could pinpoint, where we lost touch
I stand alone, reaching out my hand to you
( * repeat)

Midsummer New York
Wake up in the morning, my hands cold in fear.
And midsummer new york my heart shakes in terror.
My heart, my hands, my legs, my mind,
Evrything I touch is shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Wake up in the morning, my beds wet in sweat.
And midsummer new york, scream in the mirror.
And the door, and the chairs, and the floor, and the ceiling,
Evrything you see is aching, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
And you shake, shake, shake, shake, shake,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Wake up in the morning, my minds dried up in pain.
Midsummer new yorks waiting for the rain.
The window, the trees, the park, the sun,
The whole world s shaking, is shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Shake, oh, shake, oh, shake,
Shake, oh, shake, shake.
Aching, aching, aching, aching, aching,
Oh, its aching, aching, aching, oh, aching,
Aching, aching, oh, its aching, aching, oh, oh.
Shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake,

Shake, shake, shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shaking, ooh, oh, shaking, oh, shake,
Oh, oh, shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Oh, oh, shaking, shake, shake, shake, shake,
Shake, shake, shake,

Touch By Touch
(r. zito/a. barrow/j. esposito)
I can tell by the look in your eyes
That you like what you see
I can tell by the touch of your hand
That youve got what I need
Baby theres no hurry
Weve got no worries
Lets take all night
Give me sweet lovin
Come taste my honey
Into the light
Touch by touch
Your fingers do the talking
I need to hear so much
Touch by touch
Now youre getting closer
To what I want so much
I can tell by the woman in me
Youre the man that I need
So much lovin that comes from your heart
That you give tenderly
Come take my hand
Ill show you where
Where you can lean
Baby theres no hurry
Weve got no worries
Make me believe
Touch by touch
Your fingers do the talking
I need to hear so much
Touch by touch
Chemical reaction
Makes me give it up
Touch by touch
And put your arms around me
Baby wrap me up
Touch by touch
Now youre gettin closer
To what I want so much

The Serpent
Dark night, planets are set
Creator prepares for the dawn of man
Youre waking up, the day of incarnation
Said youre waking up to life
Images he made to love
Images of gods in flesh
Man is wonderful, very wonderful
Look at him
Beware the future
Here is my world and its waiting for me
Paradise before my eyes
I am alive in a new born world
This heaven will always be mine
Im waking up, the day of man has come
Im waking up, the day of man has come
And God created man from dust
With a soul inside his mould
And God created womankind
The vessel of satans hold
Creator made the serpent wise
Evil in his tempting eyes
Man is wonderful, very wonderful
Look at him
Beware the future
Here is my world and its waiting for me
Paradise before my eyes
I am alive in a new born world
This heaven will always be mine
Im waking up, the day of man has come
Im waking up, the day of man has come
Dark night, planets are set
Creator prepares for the dawn of man
Youre waking up, the day of incarnation
Said youre waking up to life
Here I stand a child in a lonely world, oh no
Watch the serpent tempting me to evil
The guiding hand will help me on
Guiding hand will help me on
The guiding hand will help me on
Guiding hand will help me on

And as we trim the tree
How much fun it is going to be together

Reaching Out
See how the child reaches out instinctively
To feel how fire will feel.
See how the man reaches out instinctively
For what he cannot have.
The pull and the push of it all.
Reaching out for the hand.
Reaching out for the hand that smacked.
Reaching out for that hand to hold.
Reaching out for the star.
Reaching out for the star that explodes.
Reaching out for mama.
See how the flower leans instinctively
Toward the light.
See how the heart reaches out instinctively
For no reason but to touch.
The pull and the push of it all.
Reaching out for the hand
Reaching out for the hand that smacked
Reaching out for that hand to hold.
Reaching out for the star.
Reaching out for the star that explodes.
Reaching out for mama.
(cant we see...)
Reaching out for mama.

The Hand
only the human hand,
the caring hand,
the hand covered in blood
and filth, the hand swollen
bruised, and beaten...
the open hand,
not a fist anymore hand,
not afraid to let go hand,
never letting go hand...
feed the baby, plow the field hand,
stroke the face of
the old woman dying hand...
light the fires, sweep the floors hand...
the praying hand, the picking hand,
the paint the soul hand...
only the human hand
can touch with the heart of God!
