The Phone

There is this phone
which won't ring
settled there in my
heart crease.

Stubbornly silent
opaque
un-ringing.

I move it
hoping it to motivate;
I ignore it
thinking to placate
that Yearning
Agony
of not knowing;
why don't you call?

The phone is broken
or is it my heart?

The silence is leaden
or is it my anger?

The way it ignores me
feels like shame,

for something I did wrong.

Me and the phone.

Another Boy Friend
Gone
another crimson crease in my
self-beating heart.

The 'Poem A Day' Project - Day 16

I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’m feeling all alone
I can’t connect with my friends out there
I’ve lost my mobile phone

I’ve lost my mobile phone
I miss its ringing tone
I’ve searched for it everywhere
I’ve lost my mobile phone

I’ve lost my mobile phone
And now I cannot roam
I must stay near in case it rings
I’ve lost my mobile phone

I’ve lost my mobile phone
I do not wish to moan
It has numbers, dates and all kinds of things
I’ve lost my mobile phone

I’ve lost my mobile phone
And now I guess I’m prone
To wander like a lost zombie
I’ve lost my mobile phone

I’ve lost my mobile phone
I’ve no mind of my own
Without it there to organise me
I’ve lost my mobile phone

Ring Ring

I was sitting by the phone
I was waiting all alone
Baby by myself I sit and wait and wonder about you
Its a dark and dreary night
Seems like nothings going right
Wont you tell me honey how can I go on here without you?
Yes Im down and feeling blue
And I dont know what to do, oh-oh
Ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
Ring, ring, the happiest sound of them all
Ring, ring, I stare at the phone on the wall
And I sit all alone impatiently
Wont you please understand the need in me
So, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
So, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
You were here and now youre gone
Hey did I do something wrong?
I just cant believe that I could be so badly mistaken
Was it me or was it you?
Tell me, are we really through?
Wont you hear me cry and you will know that my heart is breaking
Please forgive and then forget
Or maybe darling better yet, oh-oh
Ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
Ring, ring, the happiest sound of them all
Ring, ring, I stare at the phone on the wall
And I sit all alone impatiently
Wont you please understand the need in me
So, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
So, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
Oh-oh, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?
So, ring, ring, why dont you give me a call?

I Hate My Phone

Have you ever had a phone?
That you couldn’t stand?
If you have, you are not alone.
My phone doesn’t like to follow my command!

My phone hates me!
I hate it!
I would love to throw it in the sea,
But, my life would be gone I have to admit!

I hate my phone!
What can I do?
If only another one I could own.
Another phone I need, but it should be new.

If I get a new phone it will need,
A camera that pictures and video it takes,
Unlimited texting is what we agreed.
I have no time for mistakes!

Also, I would need free long distance,
In case there is someone I want to call that is not where I am,
No, I don’t need any assistance.
For my new phone, all I have to say is DANG!

My new phone will be the envy of everyone,
Everyone will want mine,
To bad that they don’t get it, I’m the only one,
There is no need to whine!

Go Ocean, Go Ocean, Go Ocean!
That’s what they’ll be saying!
I and my phone will be all the rage and commotion!
Everyone will be around me and no, nobody will be playing!

I hate my phone,
I need a new one,
I know I’m not alone,
To have the greatest and newest phone would be fun!

Go Ocean, Go Ocean, Go Ocean! ! ! !
I still hate my phone!
Ha, this poem is long because of a motion!
Ha, I got many problems, luckily I’m not alone!

I Hate My Phone! ! !

CP- To Mader

So one night it was dark and I couldn’t see,
I picked up my phone no one to disagree.
I was in possession of a beautiful phone,
Even though the phone was of a girlie tone.
I started checking my message to find out,
That maybe this isn’t my phone – hmm doubt.
But could this be the phone of my eye candy,
Maybe she could be unmarried and change her name to Sandy.
Hmm the possibilities of the owner of the stolen phone,
Oh goodness maybe I should watch my tone.
I return the untouchable phone back to her,
“I thought it was my phone” I said in transfer.
Oh the purple phone that was like mine,
Oh purple phone oh purple phone I let out a sigh….

Had To Phone Ya

Had to phone ya
Had to phone ya just to talk to you
Had to phone ya just to tell ya I was missing you
It lifts my spirits every single time
Sometimes youre busy for awhile
But when you get through
It makes me smile
A-when I phone ya
Californias not so far away
Youre not alone ya know Im only just a dial away
I visualize that youre looking fine
Feels so good when you come on the line
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you) you (you)
You (you) you (you) you (you)
Come on
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(I hope your home)
Come on and answer the phone
Come on come on
(hello, hey brian!)

Tourettes

- moderate rock!
Mayday every day, in my heart.
Couldve had a heart attack, in my heart.
We dont know anything, in my heart.
We all want something fair, in my heart.
Hey!
Hey!
Heyyyyyyy! (x3)
Out of town, out of sight, is my heart.
Queen of lies, everyday, in my heart.
My heart, one more on the phone, my heart.
One more at the phone, at my heart
Hey!
Hey!
Heyyyyyyyyyyy! (x2)
Mean heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart
Cold heart, cold heart, cold heart, cold heart!
Uhhhhhhh!

A Love That's Past

My mind wonders back
to a love I used to know,
a heart that was glad,
but now I'm so low.
I'm sitting in my room
just staring at the wall,
hoping someday
I'll get a phone call.
Life lingers on;
No matter what you do,
they tell you a lie,
"if" they say "I love you".
O how it hurts when a love leaves you alone,
they stay for awhile,
then they're gone.
Time will tell
what love will bring,
a heart that grows
when wedding bells ring.
No more heartaches,
no more gone.
A love that's past,
is hope at last.
Love will shine,
when two entwine.
a phone call today, will soon pass away.
A Love so bright,
on my wedding day.

4am

I walked around my good intentions
And found that there were none
I blamed my father for the wasted years
We hardly talked
I never thought I would forget this hate
Then a phone call made me realize
Im wrong
If I dont make it known that
Ive loved you all along
Just like the sunny days that
We ignore because
Were all dumb & jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
Whats wrong
I walked around my room
Not thinking
Just sinking in this box
I blame myself for being too much
Like somebody else
I never thought I would just
Bend this way
Then a phone call made me realize
Im wrong

Scared

I was fine, happy and enjoying
Till from ur number my phone started ringing
My heart then beat fast, cold felling came
Found myself in darkness, hands and leg shake
I was in dilemma, scared, dark, pale I became
I had always loved you wanted to pick da phone
As it had really been long since we talked or you called last
I was scared to pick phone, cause I remembered pain u gave me in past..

A Real Friend in one's life....

A friend is a tissue when you can't stop crying,
A friend is a shoulder when you feel like dying,
A friend is always there to listen when you have something to say,
A friend is weak when you just need a day,
A friend is a crutch when you have a broken heart,
A friend is a glue when some thing falls a part,
A friend is a phone call when you can't leave your home,
A friend is a when you feel all alone,
A friend is a wing if you want to fly,
A friend is one who understands without knowing why,
A friend is an ear for a secret to tell,
And at last.......
A friend is a love, happiness, care and joy that can never let go in one's life.........

What Do You Call it?

What do you call it, when you have a disability,

And once your were at a church, and now you're not;

But no one from the church comes but say excuse me,

I cannot be there, I no longer can cope, did I put them in a spot?

What do you call it, is it an excuse, or am I contagious at all?

If your in a wheelchair, Being in a church my problem is small;

Why can't look past the chair, and see my need, today,

Even a phone call would help, but their heart says no way.

What do they call it, If some one is not so very well,

And can't get to church, pain is bad, they won't hear when I tell;

That I need fellowship from folks, so I don't shrink,

But they don't listen, their brains just don't think.

What does God call it, to leave a Christian alone,

That isn't very well, and yet, no one will ring on the phone;

I thought the Lord taught us, think of others first,

And when one is unwell, they shouldn't allow their bubble to burst.

Please Lord! Help me to have fellowship in some way,

When I can't get to church, they'd come some day;

It hurts to be left, with no calls, cards, or visitors as well,

Please Lord, make them think, to make my phone to bell.

If The Phone Doesnt Ring Its Me

If the phone doesnt ring its me
1985
The time spent writing about the intensity involved in trying to
Keep love together is short; but the endless research can kill you.
There are oceans of feelings between us
Currents that take us and sweep us away
Thats why we seldom have seen us
In the light of a cold hard day
Lots of new friends with the same old answers
Open your eyes
You might see
If our lives were that simple
Wed live in the past
If the phone doesnt ring
Its me
If the phone doesnt ring
Youll know that its me
Ill be out in the eye of the storm
If the phone doesnt ring
You know that Ill be
Where someone can make me feel warm
Its too bad we cant turn
And live in the past
If the phone doesnt ring
Its me
Ive had good days and bad days
And goin half mad days
I try to let go but youre still on my mind
Ive lost all the old ways
Im searchin for new plays
Puttin it all on the line
Lots of new friends with the same old problems
Open your eyes you might see
If our lives were that simple
Wed live in the past
If the phone doesnt ring
Its me
If the phone doesnt ring
Youll know that its me
Ill be out in the eye of the storm
If the phone doesnt ring
You know that Ill be
Where someone can make me feel warm
Its too bad we cant turn
And live in the past
If the phone doesnt ring
Its me
Its me, its me
Its me, its me
Its me, its me
Its me, its me
If it takes all the future
Well live through the past
If the phone doesnt ring
Its me

Hung Up On You

While I down Kentucky bourbon
I am waiting for a call
And the moon and stars tonight
Are playing shadows on the wall
With the moon the way it is, dear
Would you answer out of spite
Or are you feeling lonely tonight
Cause I remember last time
We were out under the stars
Driving crooked down the highway
Drinking beer in roadside bars
And now and then I wonder
Why this painful memory
Can never find its way to you from me
And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on you
Well the house I'm ringing up from
Is a half a mile from you
But with the reception I'm getting
Might as well be Timbuktu
And behind the door of your home
Is a strange and foreign land
Where you speak a language I don't understand
And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on you
Now I'm going down to Jimmy's bar
Like a thousand other times
With an appetite for poison
And a suitcase full of dimes
And I'll wait there by the payphone
With one hundred other guys
With those sorry hung-up teardrops in our eyes
And I can't dial the phone just now
Even though I know your number
Can't bring my broken heart to be untrue
Like you did today
You'll say goodbye the same old way
Ever since you hung up on me
I'm hung up on

Some New Game

Ive seen them come
Ive seen them go
Ive seen them all
Call this affection
Ive seen them do things
You wouldnt believe
I cant remember your name
I cant remember the time
I cant remember at all
Never again
She wants film
She wants sound
She wants everything
Its not love
In slow motion
Its a strange new game
Youve got a picture of me
And Ive got a picture of you
But whos got a picture of us?
Never again
Do it once more for the man on the phone
Do it once more for the boys in the band
Do it once more for the girl with no heart
Will you do it once more for me?
Shes black
Shes white
She could be anything
She looks good
She looks bad
She could tear me apart
Just say goodbye when you leave
And Ill say goodbye when youre gone
Well say goodbye in the dark
But never again
Do it once more for the man on the phone
Do it once more for the boys in the band
Do it once more for the girl with no heart
Will you do it once more for me?
Ive heard your story before
Ill hear your story again
Now Ive got a story for you
Never again
Do it once more for the man on the phone
Do it once more for the boys in the band
Do it once more for the girl with no heart
Will you do it once more for me?
Do it once more for the man on the phone
Do it once more for the boys in the band

Will you do it once more for me?

Pain Of Existence Without.....

It was pain of existence without your phone calls.....
This pain was not related to time, as time moved on.....
but the pain remained, pain and more pain....
without a phone call from you........
Time started moving, but there was no phone call, , , , , ,
I was lost with the acute awareness of this great pain.....
pain and more pain......
I wish I could tell you how much your phone calls mean to me, , , , ,
what if we have not met, what if we have not seen each other
but dear your phone call is what makes me pull through my day....
your voice is a magic to me, it is music to my ears....
but dear you never called.... and the pain remains...
The pain reminds me of the wonderful times we had....
the long phone calls.... your voice, your silence, , your moans
all this was so wonderful, which meant so much to me....
but dear you never called........
come back and call me dear...... and tell me how much I mean to you
call me once my love........
I wait for your magic voice, for all wonderful things you tell me....
for all the beautiful moments over phone we had.......
I wait with great pain, pain and pain.....
Just to hear you..... or get a message from you
Your messages are my breakfast, my dinner, , , ,
I sleep thinking of you hearing you, reading you...
I wake up to read your message..........
But dear you never called you never messaged....
come back just once my love come back
I just want to tell how much I miss your voice.............

Remember

I think it's funny, just a sad song
He likes his money, now you ain't got none
So is it mighty strange
Now that you are so broke
Don't try to make it man
You haven't got a home
Remember when I was in trouble
You put down the phone
And anywhere you go, you go alone
It was a crush change, the money sure flew
You had a flash name, imagine you're broke
But now it's breaking up there's no one near you
Don't try for me to call
Cause I won't hear you
Remember when I was in trouble
You put down the phone
And anywhere you go, you go alone
Remember when I was in trouble
You put down the phone
And anywhere you go, you go alone
Well, don't you sit around, start to move on
Your life is broken down, so get a new one
And if you make it by and kiss the good life
Why don't you make it right
Just look at this time
Remember when I was in trouble
You put down the phone
And anywhere you go, you go alone

God Help Me......My Sisters In Love.

Every Sunday night my sister gives me a call
She talks for hours and hours
About nothing at all

Monday my phone rings, an it’s real late
“I met this guy in a club, an he’s sooooo great”
Her voice goes on through the night
Still telling me about him until it gets light

Tuesday, she’s on the phone to me again
Her constant chatter, driving me insane
He’s this, he’s that…I got the story of his life
An like, how many times did she say ‘I wanna be his wife’

Wednesday it rings and I just wanna scream
Their now an item… “He’s such a dream”.
I know his favourite color, and what aftershave he wears
Oh, an hes got a friend who plays for the Chicago bears

Thursday, the phone is stuck to my ear
“You wanna speak to him, he’s right here”
Now I got this guy telling me about his car
The names of his buddies and his favourite bar

Friday I pull the cable from the wall
I don’t wanna another telephone call
For one night, that phone aint gonna ring
I wanna sit in silence, an not hear a damn thing

Saturday night I pick up the phone
He’s dumped her, an she’s all alone
I dash round to hold her tight
Snuggled in, she cries through the night

Like I say….
Every Sunday night my sister gives me a call
She talks for hours and hours
About nothing at all
But hey
What are sisters for?

Waiting

Waiting
sitting in silence
finding things to do
on this normal, quiet evening.

rustling papers
and tapping keyboard,
with one eye on the phone
waiting for disaster
to ring through my complacency.

I can almost see
the sterile walls, the contained chaos
as hurried doctors and nurses
bring relief to the battle-weary
binding the hundred wounds
of collision and anger,
cancer and a failing heart.

I can almost, but not quite, hear
The IV pumps, heart monitors,
crash-carts clattering down
shining halls, carrying the artillery
we aim at the enemy.

But right now,
right here
all is quiet;

the cat mews patiently
for her evening meal
as I watch for the phone
to light up
and give me the news
that will shatter
this quiet evening.

I Just Hit Ignore

You want to talk now?
Well that's now over
Time went and gone
And you were hating all along
How did that ride turn out?
Well I got off soon as I could
No way of reaching me now.
Hope your proud
Here have the key to my heart
You can keep it
I don't need it
Not where I'm going
I'm just so sorry but I'm not slowing
I've seen everything you were showing
Quite offensive
Quite tempting
But where was the passion?
The love has been lost in your pretty eyes.
Hey I'm just being another one of the guys
You know the one of those that wakes at sunrise
To kiss you goodbye
Yeah it's the forever kind thing
And the phone rings
I just hit ignore
I'm just so sorry girl
Not if you were the last women in the world
Not even for the very last pearl
Star studded, and dressed up with no where to go
Well darling I'm going to the ball and it's not with you
Even after everything we've been through
Hated every moment of it
I want to answer the phone if only to say shove it
But I just hit ignore
I just hit ignore
