Maryann's Lament

Sculpting you in Precognition's Mind
had been my special mental preoccupation
and now
I cannot abide
ever leaving you;
your vision's
become
my sustaining aberration
gleaming it is in Perfection's Glow
and now no one
I fear
will match
its silver tones
its dulcet notes
which have now
captured me;
its vision
cannot
abide
another now
even if I
meet now
its twin.

I'd have to
lash
you and he
together
in my mind's vision
but I know that will fail
I'll ask how can
flesh and blood
compete with
crystal visions;
how can
human hands
glow
as much
as the hand
of my imaginary
love?

Perfection thus
is life's enemy
if we prefer
the vision of it
to
real live
human beings
and I
older now
am alone with it
drained
only now
realizing
visions
are nice
but will
in the end
leave you alone
with this
now cold
vision;
unsustaining

Morning Glory

Written by jay kay and stuart zender
All of my visions were untrue
Till I had a vision of you
And untimely end for all
But it was only then, only then that I saw
Saw the morning glory.
Cant you take me there
Cant you take me there
Away from solloquies of sadness
And prophecies of pain for us all to see
I had a vision in my mind
I had a vision of peace
I had a vision of you

Images-Perfection Ever Flames, An Endless Supply of Moths

As I am,
I'm perceived Perfection
upon my ivory pedestal
in brilliant light
crystalline.

But these are my prison walls
Uniques Glow
is Perfection's Pall
which exiles me from that outer world
of reality.
I cannot mingle there.

My existence is constrained.

As bright as my Radiant Glow,
upon approach
to your world
I would dim
and be destroyed.

We can talk you and I
in Perfection's Harmony
but the moment you gain
my speaking voice,
my thoughts,
all is taken from Perfection's Shelf
and another less perfect me appears.

Nothing will compare
to me as I was.
Should I
in coming to you
destroy that Perfection which is now so dear?

Conundrum.

Corporeal life
is Kryptonite
yet mental isolation is too numbing.
I am Beauty in the light
but unavailable;
forever Uncoming.

Sometimes
Beauty is torture
we ourselves inflict
to escape our worldly life.
But since its shape
is mental most
it cannot ever be.

Pity the person
whose countenance
is corporeal beauty
realized;
they will have the sterner test
of not living up to hearts image most.

Each prince
whom we have constructed
alas, can only live with us
til that moment first,
the single word;
then the dream slips.

Honeymoons and marriages
might last longer I think
if we did not first wed
our Perfect Prince beforehand.

Is it not truth plain
that love itself is only grown
when 1st Prince Born
is laid to rest
and Prince Now
is allowed to live?

How better ground is it
to love the flower in the garden now
than those ones first grown
in Furrows of Gold
in Dream World
where Perfection's Hoe
was Loves Seeder
and Instigator
of the visions
we now hold
of what ought to be?

How can we in flesh and blood
compete with perfect diamond visions
which never fade or rust?

Whose hand is warmer still
than the Princely hand held in our dreams?

Who is sadder than
those who loved us;
yet whose faces are shadowed
by cold, Perfection's Glow?

How to dream
our destiny
yet still
love those
'round us;
remembering these ones
are the ones who will
when we, in time, tomorrow
are no longer our Own Prince
or Princess Image;
no longer Perfection's Darling.

Rest you better in Human Arms;
while they grow old and leather
they'll not in the end
take your pride and sell it away
to Dream Land Barons
and Rock Star Princes
who all live in Hollywood.

What to do?
abandon Vision
goals and Prince;
leave aside Destiny?

No, we must grapple with
this conundrum sent:
wrapped up
Perfection and Beauty;
living along side
uneasily,
with what is merely Human,

Only A Vision

I cant see you when I look at you
Only see you in my memory
When I find you its just outside my sight line
Between experience and fantasy
Dont bear up to close inspection
Close inspection of the cold hard facts
Blow in and out of my life like a spirit
My eye cant see you but my mind reacts
Only a vision in the corner of my eye
Only a vision that I see out of the corner of my eye
Only a vision
Said you loved me
Heard that plain as day
I should lose this
Vision fade away
Whats holding on to me
Just some state of mind
Feelings coming on
One more time
Close inspection
Ive checked this out again and again
And it wont respond to cold hard facts
Then you blow in and out of my life like a spirit
My mind knows better but my heart reacts
Only a vision in the corner of my eye
Only a vision that I see out of the corner of my eye
Only a vision girl
I wish that vision that Im seeing was real

Double Vision

Feeling down n dirty, feeling kinda mean
Ive been from one to another extreme
This time I had a good time, aint got time to wait
I wanna stick around till I cant see straight
Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, its always new to me
My double vision gets the best of me
Never do more than I really need
My mind is racing, but my bodys in the lead
Tonights the night, Im gonna push it to the limit
I live all of my years in a single minute
Fill my eyes with that double vision, no disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, its always new to me
My double vision always seems to get the best of me - the best of me, yeah
Ooh, double vision, I need my double vision
It takes me out of my head, takin me out of my head
I get my double vision, oh, seeing double double
Oh, I have double vision, yeah, Im getting double vision... (to fade)

I Have a Vision

A vision like a dream
Living in a dreamy world
Like living in heaven
A place where we can't find here

Send forth our wishes
Every day I see myself in a mirror
Wishing a vision
Of my own vision

Having to have a vision
Blind to see my life mission
Walking into this sanction world
Without know why we are here

So I have a vision
To call God comes again
To save us from sin and
Ask His forgiveness, blessings and graces.

You Are In My Vision

Fade to screens of violence
Like a tv screen but silent
Where the victims are all paid by the hour
Staring at the ceiling
That she gyrates all around me
I am trying to forget shes done this all before
Far too many people
For a quiet night with myself
Oh I could be anyone tonight
Focus on a feeling
Ive detected while Im sleeping
Sing a chorus of on broadway and deny it all
You are in my vision
I cant turn my face
You are in my vision
I cant move my eyes
You are in my vision
I cant move at all
You are in my vision
Delicate bodies
That decay beneath their clothing
Play cards in an empty house in paris
The wreckage of a hero
Lies broken in a corner
And everyone pretends they like to live that way
You are in my vision
I cant turn my face
You are in my vision
I cant move my eyes
You are in my vision
I cant move at all
You are in my vision

Sonnet 4

the self to brink of paradise may rise
but dim that vision remains, distant
until self surrenders and self dies.
then vision brightens in an instant!

veil torn, new eyes new vision behold;
new ears new communications hear.
the new Man arises from man of old
to meet vision as vision draws near.

a new earth forms from old earth;
old earth's transfigured by new.
veil rent in second birth
new self becomes selves two!

two selves dwell in one new self;
the heavenly Self and self of earth.

Sonnet 17

in art the Kosmic Vision is free to indwell,
Kosmic Sense find visionary expression,
but no art form that Vision may tell:
Vision is free, from art laws in exemption.

art may reflect, but never compass Vision:
Vision, unlimited, is of unlimited scope:
Vision in art is a finite communication:
infinite Vision eludes laws of finite art.

Kosmic Sense is a new frontier of mind:
death to self that contact requires:
when self to limit of self is defined
self dies, and in Kosmic Self suspires.

in purgatory, self rises to heaven's brink:
then, limit defined, to purgatory must sink.

One Vision

Words and music by freddie mercury, brian may, roger
Taylor and john deacon
(God works in mysterious ways)
One man one goal one mission
One heart one soal just one solution
One flash of light yeah one God one vision
One flesh one bone
One true religion
One voice one hope
One real decision
Wowowowo gimme one vision
No wrong no right
Im gonna tell you theres no black and no white
No blood no stain
All we need is one world wide vision
One flesh one bone
One true religion
One race one hope
One real decision
Wowowowo oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah
I had a dream
When I was young
A dream of sweet illusion
A glimpse of hope and unity
And visions of one sweet union
But a cold wind blows
And a dark rain falls
And in my heart it shows
Look what theyve done to my dreams
So give me your hands
Give me your hearts
Im ready
Theres only one direction
One world one nation
Yeah one vision
No hate no fight
Just excitation
All through the night
Its a celebration wowowowo yeah
One one one one...
One vision...
One flesh one bone
One true religion
One voice one hope
One real decision
Gimme one light
Gimme one hope
Just gimme
One man one man
One bar one night
One day hey hey
Just gimme gimme gimme gimme
Fried chicken

Who Else Have You Selected?

Who else will I face,
To come into my life...
My Father?

Who else have You selected?
For me to share,
As we together...
Within Your vision please.

Who else comes to teach...
Lessons taught to instill,
For me to learn?
Who will You deem to be qualified...
To ignite that spark I yearn?

Who comes to confess,
The void in my emptiness they can fulfill.
Who will that be coming not to exhaust,
My patience
To recognize from my eyes...
They have come with God given skills.

Who else will I face,
To come into my life...
My Father?

Who else have You selected?
For me to share,
As we together...
Within Your vision please.

Others have come for shortened visits.
Will You pick someone admired for Yourself?
To have me grieve upon their leaving...
As it seems You have done,
With everyone else.
To see how quickly I can heal...
With just You to turn to,
For a comforting you know appeals!

And after testing my loyalty...
Will You again,
Introduce another someone...
You will have me meet,
Just for me?

Or will You throw upon my path another test?
Just to tease to see if I love You best?

Who else have You selected?
For me to share,
As we together...
Within Your vision please?

And 'why' do You do this,
To me My Father?
Don't You believe,
I'm deserving of someone...
Not for You to scrutinize.
But a companion who is special...
To meet and satisfy our human needs.

Before You put me through another test,
Who else have You detected...
That I might select,
Just for me.

Vision Of You

(r. nowels/e. shipley)
Time moves a summer way
I can see your face again
Was it such a tragedy
Being you, being me
Smoke clears, the picture fades
But I stay back in yesterday
All the strangers come and go
All of them will never know
Chorus:
Nobodys touch feels like your touch
Nobody gets to me that much
Nobodys kiss moves me inside
And I have no place left to hide
Tell me what can I do?
I have a vision of you
Tell me what can I do?
With this vision of you
Did I walk? did you run?
Whats the way to love someone
Oh, my darling, did we know
What it meant when we let go?
(repeat chorus)
With this vision of you?
Bridge:
How can a candle ever burn so bright?
Casting a shadow on my life
I am blinded by your light
Even without you
(instrumental)
(repeat chorus)
With this vision of you
Tell me what can I do?
I have a vision of you
Tell me what can I do?
With this vision of you (to fade)

Beautiful Vision

Beautiful vision
Stay with me all of the time
Beautiful vision
Stay ever on my mind with your beautiful...
Mystical rapture
I am in ecstasy
Beautiful vision
Dont ever separate me from your beautiful...
In the darkest night
You are shining bright
You are my guiding light
You show me wrong from right
Beautiful vision
Stay ever on my mind
Beautiful vision
Stay with me all of the time with your beautiful vision
In the darkest night
I said you are shining bright
You are my guiding light
Show me wrong from right
Beautiful vision
Stay with me all of the time
Beautiful vision
Stay ever on my mind with your beautiful vision
I can make it
I can make it
With your beautiful vision

Dropout

Vision, vision, vision!
Don't be a dropout when you have no vision;
But use what you can to fight on till you become somebody.
When you see people nicely dressed,
You will think that they have no problems;
But visit them in their various homes and you will hear enough,
For we all have problems in this world!
Don't be a dropout but rather fight on to be yourself,
For you have something special ad i have something special too;
Because a blind Frenchman (Louis Braille) invented Braille in 1829!
Epic love and epic poems,
I am no dragonfly but a man of wisdom on a mission!
So don't be a dropout on your dreams;
For we cam all do something on this earth.

I said Don’t Tell Me

Don’t tell me of a world of masterful politicians
Don’t tell me of a world of embattled coalitions
Don’t tell me of a world of the spin doctors slurs
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Don’t tell me of a world of the dominance in hate
Don’t tell me of a world in riches for who last ate
Don’t tell me of a world of trades in bloodied furs
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Do tell me of a world where a heart seeks allures
Do tell me of a world for when tranquillity conquers
Do tell me of a world empowered as rebellion stirs
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Don’t tell me of a world of violent augmentation
Don’t tell me of a world in servitude of aggression
Don’t tell me of a world of pennies before the cures
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Don’t tell me of a world of the lost and the listless
Don’t tell me of a world of a dying disciple so lifeless
Don’t tell me of a world infested by human aggressors
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Do tell me of a world that the politician fought for freedom
Do tell me of a world where we dropp the food not the bomb
Do tell me of a world when making love new life occurs
Cannot perceive the blindness as the vision blurs

Do tell me of a world for grain that fed the thousand starving
Do tell me of a world when a day broke in a child’s laughing
Do tell me of a world where I can drink from purest streams
I can start to perceive though to only make sense in dreams

Imagination Decides Everything

This is my own creation,
While i was watching television,
I almost lost my vision,
For power mitigation,
And to produce sensation,
Doc advised me for spectation,
Then i started imagination,
Also known as inner vision,
Which brought in me perfection.

(spectation-spectacles-just used for the rhyming scheme)

A Vision of Tears

Yesterday it
rained
the valleys
were
flooding
before me

a vision of
tears

Basins
overflowed
a landscape
before me

a vision of
tears

A heart
could not
contain
any longer
before my
eyes

a vision of
tears

Two lovers
whispering
their
good-bys
befo re my
eyes

a vision
of tears.
