i know even for the very first time that i have seen them.
when the groom lifted the white veil to kiss
her lips
she hesitated to close her eyes
his lips did not tremble in
excitement
at the last second when his lips touched
hers
he closed his eyes but very briefly
the touch was minimal
and then he took away love
back into his mouth
reverberating to his heart

I was just a joker in a serious game
I didnt have the heart to play
But sooner or later
Ill find a reason to throw it away
Risin on the crest of a natural wave
That never seems to break my way
Im livin without it
But I got to do something about it
Step by step little by little

I was just a runner in a one horse race
Livin on the dont pass line
Sooner or later
I got to lose cause Im wasting my time
Lady luck must have been a wonderful girl
Shes never been a friend of mine
Im living without her
But I still got that mountain to climb

Dance of fate
Every step I'll take
Every move you'll make
A step
In sync
One is forward
One is backwards
A lonely dance
With only us two
We are not lonely
but we are alone
A dance filled with bitter sweet misery
If a step is wrong
We fall
We follow a pattern unknwon to us
As pride we left
As love we seek
And as we fail
Another step is taken
As I dance with death
In this dance of fate
