Asunder
No hand could stay
the wretched turn
the taciturn display
the finger-tipped purpose,
the closed door
which she pulled aside;
sliding glass on smooth tracks
and sideways turned
she eased out
to the patio
where in the dark
her lover hid
behind the foliage bush
in the creeping night;
and I could only mute observe
how lightly deception walks
in the gloaming
where warm arms wait.
I suspend my hopes in squinted sight
straining to see who might
reflected be in the bushy frame
who he would be in my own long night
of what would be the happiness I could perceive
being shattered in her stealthy stealth,
in the bright eyes I now could see
greet her
just above her lingering embrace-
their clutched bodies
in secret mode-
famished it seemed
from last kiss since.
And I,
back now to the window brace,
trash my soul-
rummage for clue and trace-
of where my shortfalls lead to this state;
to where she took up with lover hence.
Of all moments
none can compare to that one where
Betrayal mixes with Despair
Betrayal's purple burning spear
searing Despair's Raging Hurt.
Of all Time
none shatters seconds into eons
as when Betrayal's lunge wields the sword
which splits the Heart asunder.

Betrayal
(wang chung / peter wolf)
We met as friends of friends while still at school
I was all you ever really knew
When we met it was like a dream
For all I knew we could not fail
But now I know of your betrayal
Living in the older part of town
I worked all hours I could to bring us round
Your career was alive for you
But deep inside I watched it fail
And now I know of your betrayal
Your betrayal
If only I could hold you close
But now I know how love grows frail
When I asked if youd leave me
Or bout the boyfriends youd had
You said youd stay with me always
And that youd never be bad
But I would notice a smile
That you would hold within
As if your vanity flirted
With your knowledge of sin
Now youre quiet and cold
Your eyes just stare into space
And if I ask you to talk
You just dissemble your face
And the smile that I hated
Is now a frown of denial
And thats how I know of your unspoken betrayal
Oh, thats how I know of your unspoken betrayal
Now I wish that Id set you free
But I was terrified that I would fail
And now I know of your betrayal
Your betrayal
If only I could hold you close
But now I know how love grows frail
Oh now I know of your betrayal
Now I know of your betrayal

Lover Be Thy Name
Lover, lover
Lover be thy name I say
Hey, hey, hey lover
Lover, lover
Lover be thy name
Everyday when the sun goes down
And all alone I face the night
I thinkof you and all that you've been
To me you've torn away a hole in my life
Don't try to be my sister, my mother, my friend
Cause it would never ever be the same
Hey, hey, hey
Lover be thy name
In the Middle of the night
Lover be thy name
In the middle of the night
Lover be thy name
Go live your life and I'll try live mine
But baby, if you see me out on the street
Walk away, turn away
Don'tlook in my eyes
Till I get my heart back on my feet
Don't wanna be your brother or the
Shoulder you lean on
Just to ease the burning pain
When I Call you there's no answer
When I had your love
I didn't know the words to say
Those words to make you stay
I should have said
Lover, lover
Lover be thy name

Because I Would Not Admit
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.
-William Blake
Because I would not admit
that I had nurtured
an enemy within my breast-
a lover who wanted to gnaw
my secret rose,
a lover who wanted to press me
between the covers of a book,
then burn it,
a lover-usurper who wanted
to take my soul-
I nearly died,
running my car upon rocks
like a badly steered sloop,
crashing into trees
like a hurricane gale,
burning my arms in ovens
(when I thought I was only
baking bread). . . .
To admit the betrayal
was worse than
the fact of betrayal-
for I loved him
as leaves love sun,
turning my face to him,
turning my hips, my womb
to be filled with a dream
of children, a dream of books
& babies sprouting like leaves
from a spring tree,
a dream of trees that leaked blood
instead of sap. . . .
The dream¹s the thing-
the dream we die for,
turning our faces to the sun,
eyes closed, never seeing it has
gone out:
dead star, it blazes coldly
over a dead planet
while we bask in its afterglow,
now remembered in the mind.
He was fond
of stars & telescopes;
fond of machines, fond
of building the most complex
contraptions
to scale the clouds.
But Icarus flies
near the sun with waxen wings,
& does not think of gears
or motors.
Trees rise up at him
as he falls; the earth
rushes to meet him
like a lover
raising her writhing hips;
the wings weep their waxy tears
& fall apart;
the sun is hot
on his face.
But even as he falls
he is in ecstasy;
his sun has not
gone out.

Sadder Still
sadder still, sadder still, sadder still
you watch it die
betrayal of the heart
is the hardest part of letting go
now you see the truth of me
so what's the point? it's so cold
time will take your soul
time will take your dream
time will take your life away
away
fading lights
shattered dreams
of lost love
i remember the past
betrayal of the heart
is the hardest thing to let go
so now i don't dream
no, i don't feel
anything at all, anymore
time will take your soul

In Mind...Still
Evening it is
Everyone, in a hurry
Except you
The sun, so sleepy
The clouds, so gravid
You pass by and pause
I pause and look
Your luggage
On your back
I see
Your buggage
In your heart
I feel
Your eyes
White
And black
And grey
And Glassy
Betrayal, betrayal, betrayal
A drizzle...
In haste
I depart
I ponder
No Home
No Home
Poor you
A distance...
I look back
The pause
Still on
You are home
This kerb
Your home
Raindrops...
Not a pause
It's a stop
You are home
Torrents!

Lover Lover Lover
I asked my father,
I said, father change my name.
The one Im using now its covered up
With fear and filth and cowardice and shame.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
He said, I locked you in this body,
I meant it as a kind of trial.
You can use it for a weapon,
Or to make some woman smile.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Then let me start again, I cried,
Please let me start again,
I want a face thats fair this time,
I want a spirit that is calm.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
I never never turned aside, he said,
I never walked away.
It was you who built the temple,
It was you who covered up my face.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
And may the spirit of this song,
May it rise up pure and free.
May it be a shield for you,
A shield against the enemy.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me,
Yes and lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover come back to me.

Engravings Of The Heart
everyday is a
betrayal
a closed door
assures
one dreams
wide awake
smiles are
sub-chapters
no matter what
two are still one
lies are sweet
creams coating
everyday is a
comfort too
there is a promise
of growing together
older and bolder
and number
everyday is
forgiving
betrayal and
forgiving marry
the home is still
the apple of the eye
a closed door is
always reassuring
silence is the sky
mouths beautifully shut

Betrayal
Secure within the mother’s womb.
Sheltered from all storms of life.
Swimming,
Swivelling,
and
Sustained.
The countdown begun-
A wide world awaiting,
Eager faces looking,
Windows opening,
to
Colour,
Scent,
Taste and Touch.
But,
Expectations shattered,
Exasperation heightened,
Execution begun,
Excruciation settled,
and
Expulsion confirmed!
Chopped to pieces,
Down to trash.
‘The most unkindest cut of all’!
Betrayal!
Horrid Betrayal!
Through aeons,
History repeats.
‘Am I my brother’s keeper’?
The Son of Man –
sold out,
with a kiss.
Et tu, Brute!

Sigh Returns
I was alone
Neither was my heart
Before you, Before you, Before you
I take breath deeply and
Cry in the arms of time only
for, you, for you, for you,
Never lingered me in the past
The dark memories of the beloved
I still find a room, the corner
where I can make marry mant
I Don't know the betrayal
The time has done to me., I know
only you, only you, only you,
I write., thus I am a writer
I love., thus I am a lover
just want to survive the doom
with you, with you, with you,
I am yours., I agree., you must be mine
Feet deep under the heart, yours may be
Are you in my fate-Let us see.

Hope (edited)
I've heard hopes enough to keep you alive,
To pull you from the darkness,
I've heard it's enough to keep you sane,
To keep you in this life,
They say that it's a joyous feeling,
But it's not,
Hopes the knife plunged in your back,
Pushing you to the edge,
Hopes the greatest poison in any dead mans chest,
Hope that they'll come back,
Hope they'll see the light,
But hope hurts more then the deepest betrayal,
It keeps you up at night,
With dreams that tomorrow,
Well, tomorrow everything will go back,
Back to how it was,
Back to love and happiness,
And then in the morning when nothings changed,
When your all alone,
Wondering why,
Then you know the truth,
An it's many sleepless nights,
It's hope when you think you see the light,
At the end of that infinite tunnel,
That it's all going to end just like that,
And it's hope thats putting the knife to your throat,
And is leaving you there to bleed dry,
And it's hope in the morning after the loss,
That causes the pain throbbing in your chest,
And hope is the knowledge that for all your want,
It will never be the same,
And hope is the biggest betrayal,
The greatest poison in a dead mans treasure chest.

The Betrayal
She was a faithful wife, friend, mother and lover
With the man in her life there was no other.
She thought she was his companion and confidante
And another woman he did not want.
But he had a secret that he could not tell
Of another woman he knew quite well.
He was going to play cards he had said:
Then went and climbed into her bed.
This went on for quite some time
Till he was seen by prying eyes.
She then was told by a friend
And her tears rolled down without an end.
She followed him one night to his so called game
And the address she was given was exactly the same.
She felt humiliated and betrayed
And her life would never be the same.
When he came home that night
He found his suitcase outside the door
With a note: I never want to see you any more
You had betrayed my love and trust
and my Pain is much to much
So take your things and go to her bed
From this moment on you are dead.
Alongside the note there were pictures of
The two embracing and kissing in the dark
Thinking they was alone in the park.
Now his betrayal came to light
As he begged and pleaded with all his might.

Left In The Lurch Smirch
Treason's plight:
bloom uncultivated,
polluted outright,
sentiments unsated.
Hurt heart stripped,
in mourning,
degraded, whipped,
unheeded warning.
Nothing allays
troubles great,
love faraway,
closed gate, cold grate.
Deep despair:
betrayal gave
salty grave
welcome where
none care.
Cleansing wave.

In a bid to seek peace
in a place not similar to home
where hope is thought to come
here comes the solitude i sought
within the environs of a church.
but very contrary to my thought'
around me are three individuals
sorry, betrayal, and anonymity
are names that suited the ambiguity.
I feel sorry for sorry,
for the dirty game i played,
her feelings were forsaken
in a state of emotional agitation
by me she was heartbroken.
The bitterness behind betrayal
is far much beyond compare
Throwing her chastity somewhere
yet a loving soul waited patiently
only to get the shock of his life.
his love & respect kicked away
just for no reason than 'exam stress'.
from anonymity i seek hope
with enough caution to get peace
and not to lose myself to nowhere.
A love to be build from experience
aware of all the pit holes
ready to abound more and more
in love, happiness and peace.

Night Bring Me My Lover
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night, bring me my lover
Baby, night is sweet?
To each other thats the way we meet
I went all day for night to come
When I ? so easy
Do you want my lover, baby
Exchanging smiles and glances,
Just by to take my chances
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night, bring me my lover
Youre the living cruel
To satisfy each other, thats the loving truth
One day is all I want belong to ? baby
Thats the way I found you, lover?
Each other
Nights brought us one another
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night bring me my lover, night
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
(Im so high) Im in love tonight
(so high) I think our love is so right
(so high) ? tomorrow-morrow
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover,
Night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooooh
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
The night has brought me you, ooh
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
And night has brought me you, ooooh
Night (bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night
(bring me my lover)
Bring me my lover, night...

Poor Tiger, Mad Lover
A tiger was sent into an abeyance.
His roars are frail and feeble.
What good is a tiger
Without his tremendous roar?
A nuisance that flourishes and shakes
The forests?
You have left this tiger
Cold and desolate
Under the brambly, prickly bushes
As the calamitous ripples
Of desertion and betrayal
Loom within your thresholds.
I’ve had the courage to
Roar for you -
And now you talk?
You mad lover.
Why only now,
That I am scathed and incapable?
I’ve not a single strength
To lunge at puny hostiles.
And now you talk?
And now you talk?
I don’t even know
What kind of treachery
Lurks within your vicinity -
Is it rue?
Is it disdain?
A mad plot of stifling
This tiger again?
I am losing the flambeau
In the singeing night’s
Far-fetched dream.
Spare me,
I have blundered
For you too long.
So now, you talk?
A chauvinistic trickster.
Now you talk?
Poor tiger, poor tiger.
Mad, crazed lover.

The night
The dark shadow
above the window
has her trace
looking away and in
provided you do a sin
see her creeping
make your mind to stay
memorising her in the dark
when on the streets dogs bark
when on trees owls howl
when my heart makes call
see only her forget all
Darkness will provide a clue
How to lend her your eyes
But alas! more than I say
The night has become the day

A easy way to digest
It is easy to digest poison
But can’t sustain the Polson
It is one way of polishing a person
He may not pleased by simple reason
He can understand the real feeling
He can reason out whether it is willing or unwilling
What he needs in life is healing?
No cheating and no concealing
He can pardon any sin
He can accept defeat instead of win
The fact has to be recognized without fail
In absence of it, his ship can run aground and fail
Nothing hurts him most than the treachery
He night have learnt the lesson in archery
The arrows may struck him in the chest
He may sill consider it as reward and best
The deception is still alright
He may not go over the issue and fight
He may still consider it lacuna and right
There has to be no fight over flying the kites
You might make a bid and try to win
There may enough of joy to be seen
It is his real treasure to enjoy
There should no secret attempt or any ploy
It may be biggest draw back and considered as betrayal
The joy and happiness are brought over on arrival
If one commits any betrayal then it runs into great difficulties
The life ruins amidst break up without any utilities
It shakes the faith and belief
It doesn’t give respite or relief
It has devastating effect on morale
Person can’t breathe properly or inhale
He finds himself amidst shattered dreams
He can’t weep or shout with loud screams
It is unfortunate to have happened
Hi rage is on and definitely sharpened

Betrayal of Humanity
One must be cautiously aware,
Of comments made...
In places infested with those who manifest,
A betrayal of humanity.
The people there are not easily identified.
Some use religious beliefs...
To deceive others to confide.
As pools of sincerity drenches their eyes.
One must be cautiously aware,
Of comments made...
In places infested with those who manifest,
A betrayal of humanity.
It is as if they plot against,
Those who express empathy.
And come to another's defense.
This they suspect as a leakage of weakness.
And they perceive a caring done,
From someone willing to expose...
Their heartfelt feelings.
And a campaign begins to ensure they are demeaned.
One must be cautiously aware,
Of comments made...
In places infested with those who manifest,
A betrayal of humanity.
The people there are not easily identified.
Some use religious beliefs...
To deceive others to confide.
As pools of sincerity drenches their eyes.
And a campaign begins to ensure they are demeaned.
Wizards of deception are trained.
And will do their best to protect delusions.
While attacks upon them,
Will be viciously claimed.
And a campaign begins to ensure they defame.
One must be cautiously aware,
Of comments made...
In places infested with those who manifest,
A betrayal of humanity.
These pests are all over the place.

One Night Stand
a one-night stand is easily forgotten
because it usually happens when the world is drunk
i mean, both of us, for on such a one-night stint
we stink, and we smell what we hate,
betrayal of our innate dignities,
we fear,
about what tomorrow shall say
about our shamefulness,
and on the following morning after we have stained
every skin of our body,
we take a thorough bath,
we wash our body with scented soap,
lots of hot water,
we avoid the gaze
we seem to think
this is all a mistake and we do not want to repeat it,
ah, promises of another mad lover,
we think of the money involved,
and the wasted time,
and the fear of being discovered by a neighbor,
we get out of this mess
not remembering any name
mine or yours,
we hate this, we like to tell the bulb
we switch it off,
and then we go back to the lighted world
outside the door.
another night knocks,
i press your number on the cellphone.
this madness, on the other hand,
i tell myself, is keeping me sane and alive.
another one-night stand
is in the offing. Delicious.
