Oh, oh Rosalie
Oh, oh Rosalie,
Oh, oh Rosalie,
What would you have of me?
Oh, oh Rosalie.
I have kisses fine,
I have kisses fine.
Will you take kiss of mine?
Oh, oh Rosalie.
I have dreams in store,
I have dreams in store,
Fine spun as lace of yore.
Oh, oh Rosalie.
Many a mighty thought,
Many a mighty thought
By men of old time wrought
Is mine, Rosalie.
I have golden days,
I have golden days,
Green trees, and leafy ways.
Oh, oh Rosalie.
I have tears for you,
I have tears for you,
And roses filled with dew.
Oh, oh Rosalie.
Oh, oh Rosalie,
What do you want of me?
You would have nought of me.
Oh, oh Rosalie.

Shes quite a mediator
A smoother operator you will never see
Said see you later
You know one day I disobeyed her openly
She knows music
I know music too, you see
Shes got the power
The teen queen, rosalie
Shes got the pleasure
Comes from all the cornerstones of the world
Shes so fantastic
Shes everybodys favorite little record girl
She knows music

Rosalie Come & Go (cut)
I knew a girl named Rosalie,
We used to hang out in the park,
We used to score the system grease,
From the fellas after dark.
We used to sail the streets at night,
Used to hang out late,
She had a bad time in the barrack,
Caught a bullet in the teeth.
Rosalie come go,
Rosalie come stay,
Rosalie come go,
I never liked you anyway.
I knew a girl named Mary Ann,
She had a camera and a cane,
She used to walk me to the station,
When I was dying in the rain.
She was a friend of Rosalie's,
They had a nurse they liked to share,
Well Mary Ann was doing the doctor,
You know his covers went bare.
Rosalie come go,
Rosalie come stay,
Rosalie come go,
I never liked you anyway.
Rosalie come go,
Rosalie come stay,
Rosalie come go,
I never liked you anyway.
I knew a boy named Billy Haynes,
He had it all figured out,
He had a trail of dust and branches marked,
To get him back down south.
But the blue lights had his number,
And he was sweating hard from the heat,
He's got a pack of bullets in his satchel
Down on forty second street.
Rosalie come go,
Rosalie come stay,
Rosalie come go,
I never liked you anyway.
Rosalie come go,
Rosalie come stay,
Rosalie come go,
I never liked you anyway

Rosalie, sweet Rosalie
with those eyes of green,
greener than any meadow
or blade of grass I've seen.
You have captured every moment
that ever comes my way.
They glisten and shine like the sun
on every summer day.
I see them when I dream at night
gazing lazily.
They make me want to stay asleep
to know just what they see.
Do they see my adoration?
Do they see my fright?
Will they leave in the morning
and not be in my sight?
Rosalie, sweet Rosalie
I've given my heart to thee.
I have never had a second thought
to live inside of me
to undermine how strong I feel
whenever I see your eyes.
They've changed the way I think about green.
It's the color I idolize.

Rosalie
Of the sweet smell of a rose,
Of the coming of a baby into this world;
Rise up and look!
For her name is Rosalie.
A red rose into the world so sweet,
The love from a lady in red;
Red roses, red roses!
Of the pink ladies to visit the world;
Rosalie, welcome to the world so sweet.
To be born and be named Rosalie,
Dated on the 23.03.2006;
Welcome into the world so sweet!
To you the roses bloomed,
To you a joy is praised,
Mathias and Verena are your parents;
And beauty was your day of birth.
Like the sweet smell of a rose,
You were born on your grandmother's birth date;
So let the pink around you bring up the roses like,
The sweet aroma around you too.
Rosalie, Rosalie, Rosalie! !
Enter into the world so sweet and,
We will remember this day always.
You are the sweet smell of a rose,
Like the coming of a baby into this world;
For, we will rise and look!
And your name is Rosalie.
Welcome into the world so sweet,
Of the pink ladies to swing the muse like your type and,
Rest on the sweet aroma lying invisible ever around you;
For you have made our day by receiveing you into this world!

Rosalie
In muddy pools, soiled ourselves, naive we played
Flowers we picked, butterflies we chased
In muddy pools.
A to Z got to our heads, in grammar schools
Bright, Brilliantly, papers were soups of mushroom
A to Z got to our heads.
Rosalie, flowered soft hair, scorched grass has become
Soft glistening skin, granny's ashes for grains' cure has become
Rosalie.
Now you know, they played their game, care not but lust
Naive, submissive and of want, advance of dirt
Now you know.
Weep not Rosalie, mother's other, your kids stars will shine
Rain shall rain, your Sun brighter still it will shine
Weep not Rosalie.

23rd January 2011
Le tit be positive and let it be lovely,
And like the echoes of the slums of the world!
But Elias and Rosalie played nicely today,
And the muse of 23rd January 2011 was fulfilled.
This world is about us and,
This love is about you and i!
But sobbing to acquire the sweet of your muse,
And you are smiling because of them.

Truth Is
What is truth?
the question of the ages
Is still being probed
Amongst the world's sages.
Truth, the father of virtue
And kinsman of beauty
Is the colleague and ally
Of rectitude and duty.
Truth is not passive
As the Rosetta Stone
Foe its Author is living,
To the possessors, well-known.
Truth is love at work
In the visitation of He
Who came through the Fashioner
In the form of humanity !

Rosalie
O, pour upon my soul again
That sad, unearthly strain,
That seems from other worlds to plain;
Thus falling, falling from afar,
As if some melancholy star
Had mingled with her light her sighs,
And dropped them from the skies.
No - never came from aught below
This melody of wo,
That makes my heart to overflow
As from a thousand gushing springs
Unknown before; that with it brings
This nameless light - if light it be -
That veils the world I see.
For all I see around me wears
The hue of other spheres;
And something blent of smiles and tears
Comes from the very air I breathe.
O, nothing, sure, the stars beneath,
Can mould a sadness like to this -
So like angelic bliss.
So, at that dreamy hour of day
When the last lingering ray
Stops on the highest loud to play -
So thought the gentle Rosalie
As on her maiden revery
First fell the strain of him who stole
In music to her soul.

Mindfog
this day
the frost has
frozen over the glass, and
the doors are snow-stuck shut
fog is dense,
milky like blind eyes
and my feet fall
through unexpected inches
when I step past sidewalk
onto the snowsuffocated grass
pairs of ghostlights drift along
the road, roaring and humming
as they hover in the quiet,
trying to find still in the snowstorm.
a morning
where we awaken
to the same night
we slept to –
moon overstaying its welcome
while the sun struggles
to shine through the gloom.
and I know across the city
you are somewhere wandering
in the eyes sleepstuck shut of an
everchanging dreamland.
and you will wake to the fog lifting
drifting upwards past your windowsill
the still trees shaking in frost coats
as the sun finally shines
prying open your sleepy eyes.

The Man I Love
Someday hell come along, the man I love
And hell be big and strong, the man I love
And when he comes my way
Ill do my best to make him stay
Hell look at me and smile,
Ill understand
And in a little while hell take my hand
And though it seems absurd
I know we both wont say a word
Maybe I shall meet him sunday
Maybe monday, maybe not
Still Im sure to meet him one day
Maybe tuesday will be my good news day
Hell build a little home, just meant for two
From which well never roam; who would, would you?
And so all else above Im waiting for the man I love
The man I love had the odd distinction of becoming a recognized standard despite its having been (1)
Thrown out of the musical for which it had been written
(lady, be good! in 1924); (2) sung in a show that flopped on the road (the 1927 strike up the
Band); (3) added to and then cut from a third musical
(rosalie); (4) rejected when strike up the band was successfully revised in 1929. the reason for
The last situation was ironic: the song had become too well
Known!

What A Bringdown
Dainties in a jam-jar, parsons colour in the sky.
Water in a fountain doesnt get me very high.
Moby dick and albert making out with captain bligh.
So you know what you know in your head.
Will you, wont you, do you, dont you know when a heads dead?
What a bringdown!
Winter leader lou is grownin ampsteads in the north.
Betty bs been wearin daisies since the twenty-fourth.
Wears a gunner when theres one more coming forth.
And you know what you know in your head.
Will you, wont you, do you, dont you wanna go to bed?
What a bringdown!
Theres a tea-leaf about in the family,
Full of nothin their fairy tale.
Theres a tea-leaf a-floatin now for rosalie,
Theyll believe in ding-dong bell.
Take a butchers at the dodginesses of old bill.
Aristotles orchestra are living on the pill.
One of them gets very very prickly when hes ill.
And you know what you know in your head.
Will you, wont you, do you, dont you wanna make more bread?
What a bringdown!

I have to ask you why Rosalie
QUIT HER POETRY AS EARLY AS SHE STARTED
WRITING HER MAIDEN LINES IN HER TEAHAUS
Overlooking the river under a bridge made of steel
I guess well, it could be because I told her
Life is not fair. Whoever told her that life is fair?
I played games on her,
I ask her why the old monk still sweeps the
Temple stone paths under a scourging sun
And hmm she knows: because the monk is there
Because the temple stones are there
Because the sun is there
Because the sweeper is there.
I ask her an analogous question: and why did the
Mountain climbers climb Mt. Everest?
Because the Mt. Everest is there.
Hmm hmmm hmmmm.
And she recites her favorite lines,
While I listen to her with all my heart:
“There is really nothing that you must be
And there is nothing you must do
There is really nothing you must have
And there is really nothing you must know
There is really nothing you must become
However, it helps to understand that fire burns
And when it rains, the earth gets wet.”
What wisdom! And she spoke her closing argument:
My dear sir the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog
Near the bank of the river. The lazy dog was jumped over the river because the fox was quick and brown, and it was near the River {because it was such a kind of bank} and the dog was lazy, and as you see, the {fox was one brown and quick}
[With a wink, he turned and walked away.]

Mighty Fine Blues
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Walk down any street
Pass the people you meet
What is it about this place that keeps you on your feet
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Night is coming down
Closer to the ground
Gonna have a little fun while I'm still around
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes indeed
Don't believe the words they say to you when their soul's hurting
Don't believe a word they say about me because I'm feeling mighty fine
Think I gotta go
Think I'm gonna die
Oh my God somethings wrong
The end is coming near
because I'm
Feeling mighty fine
feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am
Feeling mighty fine
Feeling mighty fine at this time, yes I am, yes I am

The Boy Crusader
“Oh father, is that Jerusalem—
Those walls and towers so strong!”
“Ho, boy, we are yet in our own fair France,
That is only Avignon.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, are these the Jordan's banks?
Let us rest in those vineyards fair”
“Ho, boy, these are only the banks of the Rhone,
And we may not linger there.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, I fear them—the waves! the waves!
Is Jerusalem over the sea?”
“Ay, over the sea and then over the hills—
But cling, my boy, to me.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, is that Jerusalem,
Like a shell of gold in the bay?”
Nay, it is only Palermo, boy;
And this is Saint Rosalie's day.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, I feared the sea, but more
I fear this burning sand”
“Good cheer, my boy; take heart of grace,
We tread upon holy land.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, can it be Holy Land,
With all this blood and death?”
“That was Acre we stormed, my boy;
Now let us to Nazareth.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, the hills are so high—so high!
Is Jerusalem very far?”
“Hush, hush, my boy, and I'll tell you the tale
Of the Kings who followed the Star.”
* * * * *
“Oh father, the hills are so steep—so steep!
Will Jerusalem soon be near?”
“Boy, what had it been had you carried the cross,
Instead of your father's spear?”
* * * * *
“Oh father, I am weary and faint;
This must be Calvary!”
“Good cheer, my boy; but one hill more;
Jerusalem is nigh.
“The men-at-arms have passed the ridge.
Hark, boy, how the warriors sing!”
“I only hear the sound of harps,
And waters murmuring.”
‘Wake, boy, this is no time to fail!
Oh best of happy hours!
Behold at length Jerusalem—
Its gates, and domes, and towers!”
“Father, I see Jerusalem,
Ah, nearer than you deem!”
“Your eyes are closed, you see it not,
Or see it in a dream!
“Your eyes are closed, my boy, my boy!
Your face is to the West!”
“Father, I see it overhead,
And, oh, so full of rest!
“There are little children clothed in white,
And angels leading them;
There are streets of gold and gates of pearl!
At last—Jerusalem.
“And our little Marie is beckoning me,
In her hand a diadem.
Father, I must go on before
We'll meet in Jerusalem.”

Little Girl So Fine
After the music had stopped
I still heard it playing
I moved a little closer to hear
The words she was saying
She said Ill never break your heart
Ill never try to fake it
My love is here for you
All you have to do is take it
Kisses sweeter than wine
My little girl so fine
The night seemed to say it was right
But could I believe her
My heart said, its time to go
But my eyes wouldnt leave her
Theres always somebody trying to break your heart
Somebody trying to take it
My little girl tried so hard
To help me make it
Kisses sweeter than wine
My little girl so fine
Oh, oh, oh, oh, sha la la
Oh, oh, sha la la
So fine
Oh, oh, oh, oh, sha la la
Oh, oh, sha la la
So fine
When we danced
I forgot everything and whispered
Hold me tight
Take a chance
On what tomorrow brings
Wont you be mine, be mine
Be mine tonight
We walked away laughing together
Into the night for ever and ever and ever
Now I know
Ill never break me babys heart
Ill never try to fake it
Ill give her all my love
All she has to do is take it
Kisses sweeter than wine
My little girl so fine
Kisses sweeter than wine
My little girl so fine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Kisses sweeter than wine
My little girl so fine
Oh, oh, oh, oh, sha la la
Oh, oh, sha la la
So fine

These tears of mine
Tears of mine, lover of mine
Until when shall i mourn,
Your presence which is ever absent,
I miss the days we never spent,
The kiss you never gave,
The scent i never smelt,
And the tenderness of yours,
I miss you so,
These are tears of mine
I thought i touched you,
I thought i kissed you,
I thought i felt you,
It was just but a dream,
I miss you so,
These are the tears of mine
My nights are desolate,
My bed is empty,
My hands are damp,
My lips so dry,
Rescue me oh my love,
I miss you so,
These are tears of mine
I see myself,
I imagine,
I cogitate,
Then i cry
Yes come to me,
Yes set me free,
My cheeks are wet,
I miss you so,
These tears of mine
