You Are Much Deserving

Upon your arrival to this day witnessed,
Know your blessed journey
Is on the right path.
Feel it...
And embrace your escape,
From yesterdays gone.
How can you deny this day belongs to you?
Not too many can say,
They've endured life your way.
Or lasted to see
Accomplishments you have initiated to complete.
That alone should astonish.
Self admonishment?
Why take the time,
To allow a registering to chronicle it?

Keep your wishes lifted and grand!
You have sifted much sand,
Throughout hours of time you have earned,
Nurturing desires and yearning!
Be at peace.
Find it within yourself...
And release it to joy!
Be proud,
Not annoyed.
You are much deserving.
Serve yourself a helping of applause.
Soak in the ovation.
You have mastered tasks.
Who else but you...
Carved out your fate?
With such tests and patience!

I Protect My Own Needs

I protect my own needs, desires and wants.
Since no one perceives I might have them.
And I've learned to keep my peace of mind,
Not easily detected for others to find...
As a means to duplicate its existence.
To claim they originated it,
With persistent instances insisted.

And all I do is pretend most of the time,
I am blessed with that which no one else can get.
Even tested I appear not to become upset.
And those who have mastered in the giving of such tests,
Seem more perplexed as to how I pass them.
As if they created my responses,
While I sat from distances to watch in a vacuum unaffected.

Reunion

Time and planned coincidence
have played their part in our lives.
And so the genes that flow through us
becomes the part that thrives.

We take one day at a time and know
that fate will play its part.
We shut off the brain purposefully
and start to open up the heart.

The heart that beats becomes filled
with the thirst to know your kin.
And so 2 people so distant in space
find each other and reunion does begin.

We feel the need to reconnect
and so we travel to meet.
What we find is incredible,
a family to make life complete.

The warmth and peace that belongs to you
is offered in love and respect.
And you understand the wonders of life
and give thanks and accept

the gift that God gives to those
who never give up the quest
to find each other once again
and know that you've been blessed.

Who Can See It

Ive been held up,
Ive been run down
I can see quite clearly now
Through those past years,
When I played towing the line.
I only ask, that what I feel,
Should not be denied me now,
As its been earned, and
I have seen my life belongs to me
My love belongs to who can see it
Ive lived in fear,
Ive been out there,
Ive been round and
Seen my share
Of this sad world
And all the hate,
That its stirred
I only ask,
That what I know,
Should not be denied me now
As its been learned,
And I have seen my life belongs to me
My love belongs to who can see it
I only ask, that what I feel,
Should not be denied me now
As its been earned, and
I have seen my life belongs to me
My love belongs to who can see it.
My love belongs to who . . .

Flexible...And, Resilient You Are!

You find you are alone...
Faced and pleased with pride
Earned and undenied by the trying.
Fueled by tasks grasped,
And mastered!

You weren't always,
On a path fast pacing.
I see your knees expose wounds...
From crawling stalled by emotions.
Reviewed and glued to cement,
In revolving mental inventions meant
To keep you 'dramafied' in suspense...
And confusion!

Back on track
From doubts attacking
Patience to see scars from scabs
Peel
To fall by the wayside
From the mending of your 'thickening' skin!
Trials and tribulations,
For you...
Begin to loosen their hold
On your up...held...chin!
From its sifting through despair,
YOU.PUT.THERE!
As if missed...
With visits!

Pushing you from behind come winds,
Strong as the 'will' you have to breathe
Fresh air!
Pleasing you with strong daring breezes!
And...
You find you are alone.
Faced and much pleased with pride,
That fueled tasks grasped and mastered.

'What more can be done? '

You have fun with these thoughts...
That lift to comfort and cushion your feet!

You find you are alone!
Faced and pleased,
With pride that once hid teasing!

You grew to let your wings sprout out!
And your flight takes you even higher...
Higher
Far beyond expectations tossed about!
As onlookers witness you 'soar'...

Flexible and resilient you are!

Destiny v.s Fate

Down the road of destiny
you see your future life
you see your future children
and you see your future wife

Walking down your path of fate
you lose grasp of all your dreams
you cant find your accomplishments
you lose site of everything

Which path to take, you cant decide
but now you have to choose
on one its what you gain that counts
and the other its what you lose

You must pick now, your time is up
which road will you now take?
maybe the path of destiny
or even the path of fate.

Life or death.......which matters most
you should've thought before,
before you decided to get drunk
and you drove down to the store.

You knew that it was comming
your mom said dont drink and drive
maybe you should've listened
and you might still be alive.

This Sensitivity Business

When I think of me and myself and I...
I am often quite surprised,
By the little attention I give...
To being that kind of guy.

I've been accused of being self centered,
Many times.
But nothing I have done can define me that way.
Although, I admit, I did one time 'try'.

I tried to feel that I am 'all' that.
I even got up one morning,
Promising myself no one else would matter.
Prepared with a list of accomplishments to announce.
With a printing of them on flyers so they would scatter.

Boring!

Within twenty-four hours other folks were on my mind.
After I spent a day observing 'them'.
And losing myself within creative intentions to complete...
Some activity that would influence the undoing,
A lack of concern and the misery many find.

Oh...
This sensitivity business,
Is not cool with me sometimes.
I often awaken thinking what it would be like,
To have only wining and dining on my mind all the time.
With a clock to beat...
Thinking of retirement as I laid on some beach.

And 'if' I didn't accept early in my life,
That it wasn't all about me...
I'd be contributing to complaints on a daily basis,
Doing that as my contribution to community outreach.

I'm blessed to hear from others...
I perceive much better off with time to do that.
Since I am blessed to be self centered free...
And not have limitation on my mind as a trap!

Repossess The Basicness Of Life

Separate 'things'
From your evaluation of happiness.
Repossess the basicness of life...
If you can remember how that time was spent.
The moment your were persuaded to abandon it,
For a chase to retrieve creature comforts...
Was the day you believed,
Your life was to live impressing others.
And your creditors are the ones left,
Who are least amused by your choices made.
Release this from the confines of your mind,
And decide to live.
Repossess the basicness of life.
Remove those restrictions you have imposed...
To feel deserving of an earned peace of mind.

Giving All Of Me

i maintain my innocence
and so here i am silenced by time
for what is the use of speaking
when the heart is sleeping
in complete peace,

what is the use of bragging about
this peace when
you never for once live inside the
embrace of its trees so full of
leaves so blessed with
the coolness of its solitude...

in this silence i feel the fullness
of being.

Embrace The Sunshine

Do you ever feel the cold at night
All only to feel it's warmth inside
Sick and war-ar-arm beneath the healing li-i-ight
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshine, e-e-embra-ace
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshi-ine, e-e-embra-a-ace
I woke up late today without warmth all over me
As the sunshine reaches out, breaks through the trees
Leafy shadows crawl across my bedroom walls
I could feel the bree-ee-eeze
When I'm feeling down and all messed up within
I just remember the sun's warmth pulls me throu-ou-ough
I get outside and soak it up with my blue eyes
You can feel it too-oo-oo
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshine, e-e-embra-ace
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshi-ine, e-e-embra-a-ace
E-e-embrace the sunshine, e-e-embra-ace
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshi-ine, e-e-embra-a-ace
I feel the strength, I feel the peace and harmony
Away from everything I learnt tranquility
All it has to give I take with open arms
Feel that sunbaked breeze
I want the feeling like the one I feel right now
I tried to know where, I'll find my space somehow
I need to get away, leave the night behind
I will find my way-ay-ay-ay-ay
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshine, e-e-embra-ace
You got to e-e-embrace the sunshi-ine, e-e-embra-a-ace
E-e-embrace the sunshine, e-e-embra-ace

The Happening

The Happening

It was a happening of that moment
None has expected that
It happened suddenly as a lightning
That happened with absolute perfection
None can blame or degrade it
Such a perfect happening has happened
as the arrival of a first rain dropp from the sky
But none has time to enjoy or
to astonish of that happening
Every one is moving with desires
to hunt money in the concrete jungle
I wondered! on His superb creation
That white Pup has come out from mother’s womb
it howled gently and
moved to his mother for milk
That mother was still in fatigue
But none has time to enjoy or
to astonish of that happening
Every one is moving with desires
to hunt money in the concrete jungle

With A Seeking Sought To Sit On A Rooftop

Sure,
I believe others should be heard.
With a speaking of their minds,
In expectations to be respected.

And if I had not earned the way,
To learn to do that on my own...
Knowing it had taken me,
Many years to discover that for myself...
I too would believe someone else,
Would be less deserving.
And I would 'still' be upset.

However...
I have never witnessed from my own observation,
The building of any structure on a foundation...
Erected without the skills of an architect.
And one day I awakened to realize,
The importance of those two elements...
Being connected.

And if it had not been,
For my experience with impatience...
Patience and I would not have ever met.

So I completely understand,
Anyone not comprehending that.
And...
With a seeking sought to sit on a rooftop,
Without the walls being installed yet.
I too have had wishes to climb a tree.
Until I found one that enabled me to do it.
And then I discovered,
There were taller trees too intimidating.

On Books

Books are my first love, I’m so proud to read;
They give me knowledge and help life to lead;
Hours, days just pass by, by reading life-time;
Life would not be worth, if not for my rhyme.

Great are those people who write books all life;
Burning just candles, with Goose-quills in strife;
Tired of writing though day-long or night,
They keep on writing in such a bad light.

Books serve a great cause; their value can’t cease;
It takes years to write but reading is ease;
Book-makers struggle to print a few books;
And keep spending time to, improve their looks.

Some find their way to libraries in town;
Some remain untouched and nev’r taken down;
Silver-fish, Moths eat the books that are old;
Some are gone obsolete, some sold like gold.

Some are in tatters and must be rebound;
Books are Man’s best friends where solace is found;
Reading for long hours, does help you to learn;
Books give much knowledge and wisdom to men.

Read books with great care whose weight is in gold;
Serve generations though they may be old;
Source of much Info, deserving respect;
Books are life-partners whom you ne’er reject!

Silhouettes of Vignettes

Silhouettes of vignettes
Selected carefully,
As one who chooses a favorite pet!
Remembering a darkened time,
That had no light to spare.
Remembering those who chose to dance,
Upon nerves deserving
Someone's thoughtful chance...
To take a broken heart,
And mend it with romance.

Silhouettes of Vignettes,
Pieced and placed together...
To avoid moments one regrets!
And viewed from shadows,
One hopes a masquerade charades!
Forcing a picture to complete what does not fit...
Yet the delivery can not hide,
The gestures that rise...
Giving clues of what's felt,
As one tries to deny...
A truth concealed inside!

Silhouettes of Vignettes,
Perfected to reflect...
A completeness one desires,
With emotions no one detects!
And when this moment passes...
To satisfy what one now accepts.
A divided heart once torn apart,
Will discover under spotlight...
The arrival of true happiness,
One deserving gets!

It Arrives Like Magic Without a Wand

Over the years I've done what I've done.
And adapted.
Expressing my insights...
With a comprehension I earned and not overnight!
And changing with each season that witnessed my growth.

Praying with a faith that has kept me determined and focused,
On my journey.
Not always achieving the great results I had expected.
And some observing believed I had been conflicted with indecision.
I am blessed to not have been fixed in my ways,
With beliefs my purpose would be secured by a dollar bill.

~Can I get a Amen? ~

Although on occasions I was tempted to sit and endure,
The patience a 'retirement' to enjoy my life would eventually bring.
After receiving a plaque and a handshake for dedicating the waste,
Of my youthful years.
To that kind of unquestioned loyalty.

And I have paid emotionally for being 'different' and a maverick.
I want no one to believe,
My path was laid out and for me it was a breeze.
On the contrary!
Accomplishing a peace of mind is not easy.

One day one awakens and there it is!
And no one has to say a thing to convince the receiver of it.
It arrives like magic without a wand in sight.
And there to be scrutinized, criticized, innuendoed and gossiped.
But having it is the best gift one who gets it knows to dismiss all BS!

Fate vs Destiny

To find your true happiness tempt fate to discover your destiny.
You must hearken back to when real happiness was known
Remember its impact on your life
Opportunity knocks, open the door, you will see it coming.
You may be surprised to discover fate can mask your destiny.

Your fate and your destiny are not one in the same.
Your fate is what you settle for in life.
What you take as your life marches on day by day, an obligation to life.
Destiny is the gate you find at the end of the path you blaze
As you strive to attain life’s goal open the gate and find love,
Happiness and contentment; true peace of heart and mind.

Fate may leave you at destiny’s gate at the end of life.
Knowing only the travails of your battles to achieve life’s goal
Knowing not the sweetness of your victories.
The gate may not be open, leaving you empty
At the end of life's journey.

The path to your destiny is yours and yours alone
Ask yourself whether you wish to settle for your fate or…
Tempt your fate and discover the path.
The dark side of life; fear and self doubt can blur and cover the path.
Not always seen in the clear; hidden in your memory
Or on the full plate before you the path is always there.

Those who have known the depth of their love, the strength of their spirit,
Will find a guiding light illuminates their path.
In these qualities of character you will discover your true self
And the key to unlock the gate.
You will recognize the guide of your light.
The choice is yours, settle for fate or follow the light,
Find the key, unlock the gate … discover your destiny.

That’s What I Get For Loving You

Taking a look back at where I’d been,
A lot of associates, still no true friend,
Through life’s search I had many a toy,
But there was nothing giving real joy.
Found a lady, thinking oh happy day,
But desires of the world stole her away,
Worldly sins gave all one could desire,
Till my life’s circle became a ring of fire.
Caught in a whirlwind of continual swirl,
That’s what I got for loving this world.
As I found what GOD had freely gifted,
My cross’s load was miraculously lifted,
Lasting peace like none I had ever found,
Love beyond understanding did abound,
Complete turn around, a new path I trod,
Living in the faith of the Sovereign GOD.
From infirmity to health; mayhem to peace
From discord to delight; torture to release
Jesus, you paid all my sin debt that was due,
Now I sing, That’s what I get for loving you.

Our Hearts and Minds Wont Let Us

The chirping of the birds are there.
Flying in and out of trees,
Where they make their nests.
As a welcoming of squirrels,
Gather with an assortment of insects.

And they seem to accept this as home.

The grass and the flowers bloom,
From the ground.
And nature at 'her' best...
Is observed all around.

Providing them a home.

Animals we learn to call by different names...
Seem to enjoy roaming freely,
In simplistic settings.
Sharing with few boundaries claimed.

And being there,
At home.

Do we as human beings feel out of place?
Rejecting a diversity,
That challenges nature's grace?
Do we seek a progress,
That erases to eliminate...
A naturalness that comes with change.
With attempts we make to remain the same?

To settle on patches of dirt...
And branding what belongs to us!
To chase away trespassers...
Who come with aims to make their gains.

Unable to accept who we are...
In the hopes to find a cure,
For our insecurities endured!
In a stagnant advancement.
Procured to suffer our own rejection.

And there is no place to call home...
Where peace is released!

In conflict with what is presented.
Done without our consent.
Although researched with documents!
With wishes to perfect...
What is witnessed.
And yet we expect...
Our desires not to be denied!

We try to find rest!
But our hearts and minds,
Wont let us...
Be free to just be!
Or digest a united purpose.

And feel,
Inside of us...
A home already given.

Experiences at church

In the city I witnessed some men
going to church trying to follow God
with a true passion, a true commitment
to finding a blessing
and weary old ladies, children
and some men were bringing offerings
of money, action and time

and some just went there to express
how by wealth they have been blessed
gathering in cliques in little groups and circles,
discussing business, pleasure
and inconsequential things that are of interest to them

and I have witnessed other people,
who saw no need for churches
or for the services rendered by them,
any other than as places for
grand weddings

or to serve God or any higher being
as if they in the image of God
had become gods
and the whole wide world
belonged to them to exploit
and even other people
have got to serve them
and now that the church
to which they did at a time belong
had lost its power
with which it governed the country
from religion they were totally free.

Even if other people were gathering
for self serving reasons
I went to church
to get some kind of blessing
from the presence of the One
from whom all love comes.

Some Sweetie Stole My Heart Away

Some sweetie stole my heart away
And trod it underfoot...
To leave me feeling such dismay,
Defenceless, soft as soot...
As weak as water, drained of life,
Of energy and verve...
The palpitations and the strife
Are more than I deserve.
Yet life goes on, though friendship dies...
Regardless of one's fuss...
You think it won't and yet time flies -
It really, really does.
Accepting truths one cannot change
Brings closure then release,
Despite the fact that things feel strange,
There comes a sense of peace...
Blessed are they that have lived to tell,
Survived another day,
Endured the lonely nights of Hell...
When love has gone away...
