Wishes To Exchange

I wish there was a way for me to prove,
That one's undue suffering for them is not a gift.
Or being shiftless, lazy and having a lack of interest,
In one's own destiny...
Is not a blessing bestowed that one should cherish,
Or keep for wishes to exchange...
For wings and golden slippers and the singing with harps.
I wish there was a way for me to prove,
That one's clinging onto an ignorance...
Does not endear them to the ones seeing them as fools.
Or provides them with a nourishment in 'this' life.

Prove Your Love

Written by christine mcvie.
Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ooooooh...
I want to be, inside your heart
Thats place, the place for me
But I could understand, it wont be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Like I say it aint easy
To let your heart run wild
So if you want to please me baby
Then dont act like a child
But I can understand, it won t be easy
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
It doesnt matter if youre far away
Or right here by my side
Thats the way I feel about it
We cant let the whole thing slide...
So if you cant see me
Right where you are
They why dont you send for me baby
By the nearest star
It wont be easy, and youve got to prove
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Youve got to prove, prove your love to me
Ooooohhhh, oooooohh, ooooooh...

You are my opium

Is it a mystery to love you so,
Is it a myth that i cant forget you,
Is it a joke that i cry at times,
Is it a spell that im addicted
I search answers but reach none,
I search thought and reach some,
Its true, you are my opium

Did i forget to say bye,
Did i just shed a tear,
Did i just walk away,
Manhood and bravity,
Just to prove im a gentleman
Kiss me again and again
Just to prove you are my opium

I tell you i love you,
Just to prove im a gentleman,
You tell me i can go far,
Just to prove you are my opium
I tell you im sorry,
But you tell me otherwise
Just to prove you are my opium

Where are the stars,
Where is my old life,
You made me new,
You shuffled my life,
Just to prove you are my opium

Chatterbox

Many say they can deliver,
But only few can receive.
Lips flapping nonstop...
Don't believe!

Ears may be wide open,
But the brain is shut closed.
Ignorance exposed...
Is there to show!

People think they get their blessings,
By listening to a preacher.
Fidgeting and sitting,
While nothing's sinking in.

Schools may hire teachers,
To give lessons to the kids.
But nobody cares,
What's in these quick heads of kids.

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

And 'this' is apparent.
Absent parents on the scene,
Pretending caring done is...their 'thing'.
With chatterbox nonstop...
As if a corn popping machine.
And that caring's not there,
Anywhere to be seen.

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

'I do! '
That's not enough.
'Me too! '
That's not enough.
'We do,
And we make it our business to prove it! '

Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

Chatterbox!
'I do.'
Chatterbox!
'Me too.'
Chatterbox!
'We do...
And, so do you! '

There Could Have Been A Flourishing

There could have been a flourishing.
With an enriching nourishment that encouraged it.
There could have been a sharing of expertise,
Amongst those mature enough to do it.
And an increase of understanding,
From everyone released.

There could have been growth,
With a beneficial purpose done.
But that road was blocked...
By the ones who joined that bandwagon,
With wishes to have these joint ventures stopped.

There could have been,
A respecting of differences from the beginning...
To everyone's benefit.
There could have been appreciation expressed,
For one person to the next.

There could have been ideals addressed,
With less dissecting as to whose suggestions...
Were better than the rest.
But minds seeking to impress...
Infected all with a lack of interest.

There could have been a flourishing.
With an enriching nourishment that encouraged it.
There could have been a sharing of expertise,
Amongst those mature enough to do it.
But those mature enough to do this,
Could no longer endure those immature!

This door... (to the one who listened)

Take the deepest breath before
you open this immortal door:

here, you will first receive
what you think you want the most:

if it’s to enhance your self-image,
that will be arranged;

if you want to tell others
what it’s all about; even bully them;
there’s a place for you;

if you want to come along to prove
that you knew it all already,
fine.. come in; and later, go…

if you want to prove your life
to have been ruined by others and
it never was your fault –
that can be arranged;

or if you want to be just a little wiser;
or life to be a little easier;
you’ll love it here;

but this is the house to bless you with
two unsuspected further wishes:

when you have tasted
what you thought you wanted
you are of course, free to leave;

but if that which you thought you wanted
turns to ashes in your mouth,
you may wish – and whoosh! it’s gone;

and then there comes the third wish…:
so deep in you that only now
you knew it to have been always there;

here you will find yourself
to be yourself;

so stand here on the pavement; pause;
these are not wood, but golden doors.

Woeing' Themselves Along

I too could carry around a list of tragedies.
A long one.
But...
To prove what to who and why?
That I am familiar with suffering?
To prove what to who and why?
That I can endure more of it?
To prove what to who and why?
That I have become immuned...
Or that I am seeking to add to my list,
To enable me to point out my scars...
As if I did this to brag.

I don't drag my feet to shuffle through my past.
I am not seeking companionship,
Amongst the many observed...
'Woeing' themselves along.
I don't believe pain with me belongs!
Although I may tolerate the feeling of it.
It's there attached and in masquerade.
I am not in need to be reminded of agonies.

Sad Wings Of Destiny

Mournful, yet grand is the destiny of man. Believing he can look destiny in the eye, without so much as flinching. And only after having swallowed the seeds of fate, did he find, they grew into hate. Making what was once water to the faithful, turn to nothing more, than blood, before the eyes of an unbeliever. Of all that man has been, or in his vanity, may come to believe, destiny, after having granted his wishes, also gave him more than he perceived. For only by the work of his own two hands, could such suffering be achieved. Leading him to fight against his destiny, even though, he had no hope of victory. Like pantomimes of white, on a background of black, his destiny, appears as a silken thread, lost in an endless labyrinth of time. Never knowing, only death transforms life into a destiny, for only death has no need for time. Having denied love, he sealed his fate. Unable to find the meaning and never seeing the truth of life, that it may only be found with another, but not alone. Fear, merely encouraged his ignominy and transported him to the nether world, where he will at last, take his final flight, on the sad wings of destiny

Lived In a Way That I Like

I am tired of providing someone else,
Entertainment.
Or become the subject of someone else's convenience.
There are those who react as if appalled...
If the hands on a clock does not stop for them!
And I am not loaning any tick tocking done in my behalf,
To anyone to prove a thing.

I've played both roles in a yesterday that has gone.
You know...
The Master of Ceremony with touches of comedy,
For someone momentarily bent out of shape.
And even though some may fine my lack of interest,
Offensive.
I've learned to walk away from that kind of mind play.

This is 'my' life!
And it will be lived in a way that I like!
Or...
Moved in a direction made without hesitation.
I am not loaning any tick tocking done in my behalf,
To anyone to prove a thing.
When lessons are learned it is best to use them.

Prove that He is not God

Why should I prove that
I am nothing but a slave to Almighty?
First thou prove that the sky,
the planets,
the earth,
And the whole universe
do not belong to Him.
Prove that He is not the creator,
the cherisher,
the sustainer,
And I will prove that I am His slave.

Knowledge Is There to Gain From This

It is difficult to escape the power held,
By those acknowledging a knowledge.
Once it is there and gets one wide awake...
All exits to get away from it,
Seem to be permanently closed.
There are no fences to jump,
Or keys to unlock gates.

Even the faking of not having it,
Is hard to do when ignorance approaches.
There have been cases,
In which attempts have been made...
To masquerade a wisdom,
For the sake of keeping peace.
Since all peace wishes to do is to live in it.

This can not be done.
It seems that ignorance becomes offended.

And conflicts begin!
The forces of ignorance struggle to win.
Leaving consequences for them to suffer!
And knowledge is there to gain from this.
But it is ignorance that is stubborn.
Wanting to prove without knowledge...
Alone it can exist in the spreading of its nonsense.

IF You Sincerely Choose to Excel

The only thing,
You may be able to prove...
Is your right to live your own life.

However,
In doing so...
You have no right to believe,
Your success or lack of it...
Depends on someone else,
Being depicted as less deserving.
Because that is what you wish.
And you make attempts,
For others to acknowledge this.

Be not that big of a fool.
IF you sincerely choose,
To excel.
Fools are a dime a dozen.
And today...
Anyone just may get two dozen,
For less than that!

With A Pity That You Want

With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.

And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.

You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
To realize...
A pain you keep.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.

Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.

But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And your wants are weak.
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.

But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
Oh...
But you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.

With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.

And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want,
To show you're one of those...
With a pity that you want,
To show exposed.
With a pity that you want,
To be one of those!

Prove It All Night

Ive been working real hard, trying to get my hands clean,
Tonight well drive that dusty road from monroe to angeline,
To buy you a gold ring and pretty dress of blue,
Baby just one kiss will get these things for you,
A kiss to seal our fate tonight,
A kiss to prove it all night.
(chorus)
Prove it all night,
Girl theres nothing else that we can do,
Sp prove it all night, prove it all night,
And girl Ill prove it all night for you.
Everybodys got a hunger, a hunger they cant resist,
Theres so much that you want, you deserve much more than this,
But if dreams came true, oh, wouldnt that be nice,
But this aint no dream were living through tonight,
Girl, you want it, you take it, you pay the price.
(chorus)
Prove it all night, prove it all night girl and call the bluff,
Prove it all night, prove it all night and girl,
I prove it all night for your love.
Baby, tie your hair back in a long white bow,
Meet me in the fields out behind the dynamo,
You hear the voices telling you not to go,
They made their choices and theyll never know,
What it means to steal, to cheat, to lie,
What its like to live and die.
(chorus)
To prove it all night...

Gold Ocean Delivered

I don't have anything to prove,
so many things have gone wrong.
But today I live my life without any judgment.
I don't have any thing to prove to the world.
I am over wishing I could be you.
No more Living my life thinking I have something to prove.
But today I live high and I only need to answer to you!
Time goes by so slow, when your clocking in
Time flies by when your not keeping a close eye..

I have nothing to prove. Such a freedom to feel like this!
So free and living life not worrying what everyone thinks.
I have nothing to prove! I live my life only answering to you!
Time goes by so slow, when your clocking in
Time flies by when your not keeping a close eye..

I only live my life for you. I don't owe anything! I already paid my dues.
I have nothing to prove. Such a freedom to feel like this!
So free and loving without anything to prove
I have nothing to prove! I live my life only answering to you!

Emily Dickinson

They say that 'time assuages,

They say that 'time assuages,'--
Time never did assuage;
An actual suffering strengthens,
As sinews do, with age.

Time is a test of trouble,
But not a remedy.
If such it prove, it prove too
There was no malady.

A View To Complete And Realize

Following those paths,
That ultimately lead to oblivion...
Is something done some people do,
As if this was their custom...
With a doing of it.
To prove they exist to initiate chaos,
And confusion.

Those not learning,
From their own repeated experiences...
Should not be admonished for expressing ignorance.
There are those with fatalistic ambitions,
Who are rarely found sitting in seats of leadership...
That seek,
At the expense of others...
A view to complete and realize their sick sadistic wishes.

And like sheep,
The people allow these people with charisma...
To follow.
Believing them to represent their interests the best.
And they 'do' represent...
Their overwhelming lack of concern,
As best as they possibly can present it!

April Fools' Day

In 1854 or somewhere around that date,
Someone decided...
This day for them they would celebrate.
Poking fun and playing practical jokes.
Doing silly things and teasing when they spoke.

April Fools' Day today...
No longer seems that day to display a harmless merriment!
There is an exposed existence of a sickness witnessed,
Everyday.
And not only on the first of April,
Are these fools spreading their massive illnesses...
To feast on the remainder of sensibility!
And determined they are to prove,
Fools like them...
Are no chickens coming home to roost!
But to rule from ovens.
As they bake to roast to feed their mindless tastes!
And this is their day to rejoice in their self praise.
Unfolding an ignorance that suspends indefinitely!

We Wait And We Wonder

We stand, hang our heads disbelieving
then not knowing how could such a thing be wrong
we wonder just what must they be thinking
to take a life of one so young
So tell me when will it be over now, how soon?
how far must they go, to prove to you?
We wait and we wonder how this happened
killing the old, the innocent, the young
while sons follow in fathers footsteps not understanding
that what they do could somehow be so wrong
So tell me when will tit be over now, how soon?
how far must they go, to prove to you?
So we will wait and we'll wonder
No regrets, no forgiveness, no compassion
these brave heroes only know to hit and run
slowly my sadness turns to rage and we wonder
how can these scars ever heal, when all is said and done
So tell me when will it be over now, how soon?
how many tears must fall to prove to you?
please tell me, when will it be over now, how soon?
and how far must they go, to prove to you?
So we wait and we wonder

Self Defeating Foolishness

No interest they have in politics.
Believing that and religion do not mix.
No interest expressed in local business.
And yet they insist...
Changes must come to exist!

No interest do they have,
With the lack of discipline shown.
And the disrespect accepted and known.
No one wishes to participate,
In doing those things that are right.
But quick they are to pass judgements.
And witness those in conflict...
As they sit and gossip as if to benefit!

No interest in progress or moving ahead.
As those who do this among them...
They do their best to keep them down instead.
And when they notice they are all of the same mind...
Knitted together by the same common thread.
They want to come together and unify!
Crying they've been left behind...
To entertain themselves,
With more nonsense to spread!
And this is done not 'some'...
But all of the time!

And they come together,
To denounce others who express,
No interest in them...
Or their self defeating foolishness.
