What's Kept Safe Today?
They make claims that are wished,
With announcements delivered to dish.
With the same hollowed tiredness...
To kepp 'this' safe!
A land upon which,
Rules made...
They are the first to break,
Excuse and dismiss!
What's kept safe today?
A way of life...
With a quality,
That has progressively decayed?
What's kept safe today?
A planned career one takes...
To find administrators and top executives,
Are earning lots more pay.
And cutting jobs...
To outsource them away?
What's kept safe today?
An investment in homes...
With money borrowed on sky high interests,
From institutions...
Knowingly,
Providing tainted loans?
What's kept safe today?
Elected officials there to monitor with goodwill?
Only to discover them corrupt...
And incompetently sleeping,
At the wheel.
Driving blinded!
As the innocent are killed!
What's kept safe today?
Borders unprotected.
Continuing to go neglected.
With an indifference shown...
Or at least suspected!
what; s kept safe today?
A dollar sliding into worthlessness.
With debts held by others...
Who could care less,
Who suffers from a propaganda.
Exclaiming whose 'values' are threatened!
And who's standards are better.
Or greater than the rest!
What's kept safe today?
Dreams and hopes...
Slipping?
And schemed to be erased?
By those in high places.
With smiles on their faces.
And igniting a rascistness...
To build and infest.
What's kept safe today?
A stabbing in the back.
By the very ones who stir terrorists attacks.
With a desire to bleed,
Those in need.
And spread deceit and gloom.
While they feed their greed...
In the safety of secrets.
As they pocket and run.
From a doom they have begun!
Leaving in delight...
Those who fight over,
Who is on the left side...
Of those choosing to remain,
In the dark on the right!
What's kept safe today?
A constant dimming of the light!
And the cost to pay the price to keep,
This kind of self righteous isolated way of life!

As There Aren`t Safe Nests...
A migrating bird chirps into my ears,
'Can you make a nest for me that will be safe for ever? '
I don`t know what he means by a safe nest
For my nest has been on the verge of a collapse.
He flies away dreaming about a safe nest.
That leaves me with a question, ' Where to fix a safe nest? '
Safe nests should never be on the branches of trees
For trees themselves are tormented by storms and quakes.
Safe nests shouldn`t be on the roofs of man`s homes either
For his mischevious kids may throw away the eggs.
Safe nests should not be under the water or in the skies
For the fury and the terror of these elements are disastrous.
Safe nests shouldn`t be anywhere that eyes see or ears hear
For there are humans living on this earth.

I heard about this story in the news today,
About a man who lost his senses, lost his way,
About a man who had his will taken away.
He took his life but not before he made them pay.
So go on ask yourself the question

The two lives
Today I saw two sons being born
Both with that loud wail they came
Innocently eager to meet their destines
To walk that earth and be somebody,
Rewrite the thought about their land
They shared a brightness in their eyes.
Today I saw two youthful boys pass by
One with a bag going on to school
Running fast to meet his tomorrow,
He held that same brightness in him.
The other with a bunch of firewood
Too scared to even hold his head up high,
Scared to think, what tomorrow is to be?
Today two men woke up in the morning
One was rushing; he’s to be sworn in today,
Sworn in as one of the Ministers of State
The other rushed to sit by the roadside,
At least today the minister will see him
Maybe, today he will and give him a coin.
Today I saw those two sons of Africa
That were born to be the same, a blessing
But only one got the chance to become
One lived safe and became then, educated
